Chapter 39: Meeting

I have a brother. An older brother who I don't know exist my whole life.

Before I was always imagining I have a sibling that I can take care off or someone who will take care of me.

"Do you want to meet him Love?" Gideon asked.

"Me-meet him? You mean in the flesh?"

He nodded.

"He-he knows about me?"

"Yeah. Because I know your brother."

"You know him Gideon?how?"

"Well he is one of my business partners and I consider him my best friend."

My boyfriends bestfriend is my brother. Oh my this is kind of illegal right? I think I've read one story like this. The older brother got angry with his bestfriend because he hook up with his sister! Oh my God no!

"Gideon! He will disapprove of our relationship!" I exclaimed.

"What are you saying love?"

"I mean he is your bestfriend!"

"So?"

"I mean brothers doesn't like their sister dating their friends right? Like a- like a dude code!"

I know Gideon is confused I am too to be honest. What am I saying?

"Bro code love. And no we are not violating any crap. Blake knows and he is okay with it."

Blake? That's my brother's name? Cool name. My name is very ordinary compared to his.

"Blake?"

"Yes Blake Bradford that's your brother's name. Do you want to meet him?"

Am I ready? Heck not at all. I will never be ready.

"I mean will he like me?"

Gideon grasp both of my hands and says "He will Love you Ella. Okay?"

"Okay."

"We will meet him tonight if it is okay with you. He will go in our house."

I dazely nodded at him.

"Love if you are not ready we can reschedule."

"No! No! Don't reschedule. I am fine! I want to meet him."

Gideon looked at me skeptically. Clearly not believing that I am fine.

"If you say so Love."

I don't know what to wear.

With all these clothes in my massive walk -in closet I don't know what to wear.

Gideon found me slumped in the middle of the room devastation clear in my eyes.

He run immediately to me thinking that I am hurt.

"Hey love what's wrong? Are you hurt?"

I shake my head.

"Then why are you sitting on the floor? What's wrong Ella?"

"I don't know what to wear Gideon."

Gideon looked around the room. Perplexed. She has so many clothes that is untouched and yet she is having a dilemma of picking what to wear.

He stand up and walk to I don't know where. After a few minutes he place a set of clothes in her lap.

"Wear this love."

I look at the clothes and it is her normal clothes that she wears everyday. Jeans and band tshirts.

"Bu-" she tried to protest but one look from Gideon she defeatedly change her clothes.

We walk out of the bathroom and saw Gideon wearing a slack and black shirt.

As soon as he saw her he stand up and slung his arm across his shoulder.

"Cheer up love. Your brother will not care whatever you are wearing. So don't worry."

I nodded but deep inside I am really worried. He is my brother for godsake! Of course I want him to like me.

We went down and walk towards the living room. I stopped immediately when I saw a man standing in front of us his back facing us.

He is very tall. Taller than Gideon. He has broad shoulders. From this view his hair is bordering on dark blonde to dark brown.

We walk towards him.

He suddenly turns around and I am in awe.

I look up. Way up. I am correct with his dark blonde hair.

He has a sculpted face. Defined jaw a roman nose. His lips are plump and his eyes those eyes. One is hazel the other is green.

He looks ethereal.

In short we look nothing alike.

Is he really my brother? Appearance wise no. Heck the height difference is like a foot and half.

He is looking down at me curiosity filling his mismatched eyes.

To break the awkward silence Gideon introduce me to my brother.

"Blake this is Ella your sister."

"Hello." Deep baritone voice. I bet he sings beautifully.

"Hi" I Shyly respond. I felt Gideon trailing his hands on my back to comfort me.

"Let's seat in the living room so you two can chat comfortably." We sat on the opposite couch. I am still staring at my brother since I don't really see any resemblance between us.

"Okay as you can see Blake. Ella is really shy and awkward." I elbow Gideon's side and glare immediately at him when he mention that. Awkward? Shy? Me? Heck no.

Okay yes but he doesn't need to know that!

Gideon sheepishly smile at me.

I look back at Blake and saw he was amused by Gideons antics.

"I know that you have many questions Ella. So I'll explain first then you can question me later." Blake started.

"I am a few years older than you. Our 'parents' have me when they were teenagers at that time. Thank god that they decided to put me up for adoption. That is the most sensible decision they did. I was adopted by a wealthy couple and they did not hide that I am adopted. I am aware at a young age that I am not their biological son but they treat me as one."

He is very lucky that someone took care of him. I wish they just gave me up for adoption when I was a baby maybe my life would be different.

"When James called and inform me that I am your big brother. We arrange immediately this meeting because I want to meet you. He also told me what happened to you and I want to apologize. If I know that I have a sister I would have immediately take you as your guardian."

As he explained I can see the sorrow from his eyes. It is not his fault.

To Gideon's displeasure I stand up from my seat and sat down beside Blake. I hold his hand in comfort and said.

"It is not your fault. It is really my destiny to experience what I have experienced. I am happy that I have a big brother who cares for me. So brother it is not too late to create some memories right?" Blake smiled and his mismatched eyes is a little bit teary. He hugged me very tightly to the point that it is a little bit hard to breath but I let him because he needed it. After a few minutes he let go of me.

"And I have someone who can beat Gideon up if he made me upset or mad."

"Sure Ella. I can beat him up right now if you want. Heck my wife will join in too. We will tag team him. Just call and we will do it."

I gaze back at Gideon and say "You hear that Gideon?"

Gideon haugthily replied "no chance love. First you don't have his number or a PHONE so you can't call him. I am ALWAYS treating you like a queen. So he has mo reason to hit me and I am stronger than your brother."

"I can borrow Scott's phone Mister. Checkmate!" I rebutt back to him.

"Wait wait. You are married?"

I ask Blake.

"Yup to the love of my life Cara. She is not here today because she has work but she promised that next time she will be with me when we meet again. She loves you already so don't worry."

We chat a little bit more and I learned that he met Gideon in college. He is also a CEO of his own company but as he said he is much more wealthy than Gideon which Gideon vehemently denies.

I saw him pouts when I further tease him that I will live with my brother because he is more wealthy and Gideon can't take care of me. Gideon immediately kneels in front of me and promised that he will earn more so that he can "purchase" whatever I desire and he will work "harder" so he can provide a better life for me.

I just roll my eyes at him. He is ridiculous as If I am impressed with his wealth.

I only want his love and time. He knows that. I did say it before right?

Nope. You did not mention it to him at all.

Well I'll tell him next time.

We ate dinner and did not notice that it is already 9pm. I felt sad when Blake went home but he promised that we will meet again this week and I can visit him in his office anytime in which Gideon agreed.

I gain a brother and a sister. This is too good to be true. There are more people to love and care and I am okay with it. My family became bigger and I can not wish for more.
