《COME TO ME | PJM》CHAPTER 100

Y/N felt a growing anticipation within her as she watched the passing scenery through the tinted luxury car window. Jimin had promised her a dinner when he came back from the business trip, so that was the first thing he got ready for when he landed back in Seoul this morning. They were driving pretty close to the coast, so Y/N could watch as the sun set beyond the horizon; it turned the sky a beautiful gradient of warm reds and cold blues.

"Where are we going, Jimin?" She turned to look at the handsome man next to her who was driving peacefully with a content expression on his face. Jimin merely smiled back gently and gave her a wink. "You'll see." It was meant to be a surprise after all.

They shortly arrived at a restaurant near the beach. It reminded Y/N of the time they also went to a beachside restaurant during their Jeju trip. This building was an elegant display of modern architecture; not quite that large, but focusing heavily on large glass panes and enticing minimalism. Y/N took in the way the setting sun reflected the sky on the windows facing the sea, and the faint and calming sound of the small waves crashing onto the shore.

Jimin let his eyes take in the picturesque view of the woman in front of him- nothing made him happier than seeing her enjoy herself, and he was glad that she seemed satisfied with his choice. He walked over to Y/N and slipped an arm around her slender waist. "Do you like it?" He pressed a chaste kiss on her soft cheek.

"It's beautiful." Y/N sighed as she leaned her head against Jimin's shoulder. He smiled warmly at her and let go of her waist, opting to grab her hand instead.

"Why don't we go in now?" Y/N nodded and Jimin walked them over to the entrance.

A waiter escorted them to their reserved seats; Jimin had chosen a table right by the window facing the seaside, giving them the best view of the scenery that the restaurant had to offer. The place wasn't bustling with patrons, but there were just enough customers to create a homely and warm atmosphere in the dimly lit building. Most of the light at this point came from the natural sunlight that streamed in through the windows.

Y/N took her time admiring the interior design of the restaurant. She turned to Jimin who was sitting opposite to her, observing her quietly. "So, how did you find such a good place?" Y/N asked interestedly, propping her elbows on the table and resting her chin on her slender hands.

"I've been working on the expansion of our business for a while... The culinary sector was always an area I had wanted to go into." He paused for a moment to take Y/N's hand in his and lightly brush his thumb over it. "I bought this one because I know you love the beach."

Y/N's lips parted in awe. She felt a comfortable warmth pooling in her chest, and she squeezed Jimin's hand appreciatively. Of course, leave it up to Jimin to have the most extravagant and expensive surprises. After all, not every husband bought a restaurant just because their wife liked the beach.

"I do. Thank you for bringing me here." She hummed softly, a sparkle in her eyes.

"Are you happy?" Jimin grinned, pressing his lips between Y/N's knuckles.

"Yes, I am happy. Very happy." She giggled slightly at the tickling feeling of Jimin's butterfly kisses.

Jimin's eyes formed perfect crescent moons as he smiled widely, showing his perfect teeth. "Then I'm happy."

During the dinner, Y/N couldn't help but notice Jimin's gentle gaze on her face more than usual. She would catch him focusing more on her than the beautiful dishes that were presented on the table. Y/N briefly looked up at him again only to make eye contact, which she quickly averted. She felt her cheeks warm as she lightly dabbed at her face with a napkin. 'Is there something on my face?' she thought to herself.

Y/N couldn't help but feel a little self conscious so she excused herself to go to the ladies room to check if she looked alright. She leaned over the sink and checked her appearance- she looked fine as far as she could tell, so why was Jimin staring so hard?

Y/N reached into her purse and pulled out her makeup bag to touch up her lipstick. It had slightly faded from eating.

"You don't have to try that hard to impress him, Sis." Y/N felt her heart skip a beat as a voice suddenly came from behind her. She was so concentrated on putting her lipstick back on that she didn't notice someone walk through the bathroom door.

Han Mi was still bitter over the last time she saw the couple- when Jimin poured a glass of wine on her head and made her look like a complete joke. Moreover, Y/N was there, watching. It hurt her pride.

"What are you doing here?" Y/N replied casually as she continued topping up her lipstick. Han Mi stood behind her, watching her through the mirror.

"It's not like you own the place." Han Mi grumbled. She was starting to feel rather pissed by the nonchalant way Y/N was speaking to her. She didn't even turn around to look to acknowledge her presence.

If she was being completely honest right now, Y/N wasn't exactly in the mood to waste her time on her sister. She was enjoying herself quite a lot before Han Mi showed up, and she was determined not to let an unwanted presence ruin her evening.

"Yes, I don't." Y/N shrugged, putting her lipstick back into her purse.

Han Mi laughed.

"But my husband does." Y/N internally smirked.

The smile on Han Mi's face was quickly replaced with disgust and jealousy. "You're delusional, aren't you? I know he's going to divorce you after Joon Min's recovery. So don't get too cocky and think so highly of yourself!"

Y/N ignored her and started washing her hands, only triggering Han Mi even more. Her face was turning rather red and unpleasant.

"It was supposed to be me! If I said yes to Pa four years ago, you wouldn't be with him now!"

Y/N could only shake her head amusedly. Was she really blaming her right now for something that was her own choice?

Y/N finally turned around to face the now red faced Han Mi, an adamant smirk plastered on her face.

"Well you tried to seduce him last time, how did that turn out? Hmm?" Y/N turned away from her sister and walked towards the door.

Han Mi felt her anger boil over- she couldn't stand the cocky attitude Y/N had right now. She quickly turned to Y/N and grabbed her hand tightly, causing Y/N to drop her purse.

"Y/N!" Han Mi lifted her other hand into the air, planning to slap the annoying smirk off her sister's face...

Jimin watched as Y/N walked towards the ladies room, only to notice an all too familiar woman follow her to the corridor. He raised his eyebrow and eventually decided to head over to check on Y/N, worried that things may escalate between the two sisters.

He didn't want to have to enter the women's bathroom unless it was completely necessary, so he waited patiently outside the door and listened to their conversation silently.

"So don't get too cocky and think so highly of yourself!"

"It was supposed to be me! If I said yes to Pa four years ago, you wouldn't be with him now!"

"Well you tried to seduce him last time, how did that turn out? Hmm?"

"Y/N!"

Jimin pushed open the door of the bathroom which hit the wall with a loud bang, startling the two women that were inside. A deadly expression appeared on his face as he noticed Han Mi's arm in the air, and he stormed in to wrap his fingers around her wrist.

"J-Jimin." Han Mi stuttered as she felt a wave of fear overtake her seeing the way Jimin was glaring at her right now. If looks could kill, she would definitely be dead right now.

He wrapped his fingers tighter around her frail wrist, almost as if he was threatening to break it if she made any wrong moves. "Lay your hands on my wife again and there will be hell to pay." He growled, throwing her arm to the side harshly.

Han Mi cradled her now tender wrist protectively, glaring at the couple through bloodshot eyes. He had once again embarrassed her in front of Y/N, as if the wine incident wasn't enough. "Park Jimin, don't be so happy!" Han Mi seethed, hot tears pricking at her eyes. "What, do you think this wretched woman will actually stay? Once you two divorce, Y/N will just go back to Jungkook! They love each other, everyone knows this. You're not that blind right?"

Jimin's cold glare didn't falter, and he reached out to hold Y/N's hand. Y/N squeezed it reassuringly, and for a moment she saw a glimmer of warmth within Jimin's dark eyes. "Just leave while I'm still being nice or you're going to regret it." His murderous tone sent shivers through her entire body, and she quickly walked out of the bathroom with her head held low.

Jimin bent down and grabbed Y/N's purse from the floor. He turned to Y/N with an innocent grin. "Are you okay Y/N?"

Honestly, Y/N could never really get fully used to the duality of this man. Just moments ago he looked like he could murder someone through his expression alone, but now he looked somewhat like a... mochi? Is that even the right way to describe Jimin? Y/N laughed to herself.

"Yes, thank you Jimin." She smiled and took her purse from his hands. "Although, we better get going before someone comes in since you're technically in the ladies room right now." She giggled. Jimin kissed her forehead and put an arm around her waist, and they quickly made their way back to their table; their little altercation with Han Mi quickly forgotten.

"What do you think about a walk on a beach after dinner?" Jimin offered as they dug into their dessert. Jimin had opted for a scoop of fruity sorbet while Y/N indulged in a rich chocolate mousse that melted in your mouth like butter.

Y/N nodded eagerly as she savoured the bittersweet chocolate on her taste buds. She felt particularly full, and a walk on the beach would be a good way to end a lovely evening.

After they had finished their meal, Jimin stood up and walked over to Y/N's side to offer her his hand. Y/N held onto it gently, and the two held hands as they walked towards the shore.

By now it was already dark outside, and the only thing that illuminated the beach was the soft white glow from the full moon, which reflected on the water beautifully. Although it was rather cold and windy, the two had dressed quite warmly tonight in thick coats so they could take their time and watch the ocean rather than be distracted by the winter breeze.

Y/N looked down at their entangled fingers as they walked in silence. It was an ordinary beach, but Y/N felt that at this moment everything just seemed more beautiful than usual. The feeling of Jimin's warm hand holding onto hers. The peaceful silence between them paired with the sound of footsteps in sand and surfacing waves.

Y/N, for once, felt safe.

Y/N stopped walking to gaze out at the horizon, enjoying the view of the round moon above the calm sea. "It's so beautiful." She breathed.

"Yes, very beautiful." Jimin whispered.

Y/N instinctively felt her cheeks go red; feeling Jimin's soft gaze on her once again. Something told her he wasn't at all looking at the scenery right now. Jimin let his eyes fixate shamelessly on the woman beside him. She glowed entrancingly under the pale moonlight, and he wanted to sear this image into this brain forever.

After a few moments, Jimin turned his head towards the view. Y/N felt the disappearance of his gaze on her and turned to look at him. He looked like he was deep in thought, and she felt a sense of uneasiness in her heart.

"Jimin..." Y/N broke the serene silence first.

"...don't think about what she said. Jungkook and I never had that kind of relationship. I think of him as my family. It's nothing like what she said..." She continued.

Jimin shook his head and squeezed her hand lightly, as if telling her not to worry. "I'm thinking about something that she said, but it's not about Jungkook."

Y/N frowned. "Then, what is it?"

"When she said that it would be her with me if she said yes to your father four years ago, what did she mean by that?"

Y/N went silent for a moment, considering his question. Eventually she turned back to him with a worried look in her eyes. "Will you believe me if I tell you?" Y/N asked hesitantly.

"If you're the one saying it, of course I'd believe it." Jimin smiled, stroking her hair.

Y/N felt that her heart was about to burst at any moment. His trust mattered the most to her right now, and she needed it desperately for what she was about to tell him.

She took a deep breath. "I only found out about this after it happened..."

Four years ago, the Song family started experiencing several financial troubles. They were losing money and accumulating some rather substantial debt, one that would not be able to be easily solved within the family. Jun Seo had planned to use his daughter to help him get money and find someone else to pay off his debt. He knew that the Park's were a prestigious and well loaded family with a good business, and he figured that if he could find a way to get money from them, his financial issues would be solved.

Jun Seo was rather fond of Han Mi, so when she refused to marry Jimin, he decided to use Y/N instead. Originally he had just wanted to receive compensation money from the Park's, but with careful consideration over Y/N's pregnancy he insisted that she just marry Jimin, so they could continue asking for more money through her.

The Song family arranged a banquet and sent a formal invitation to the Park's. Jimin had always had a bad feeling towards the Song's; he knew that Jun Seo had resulted in many dirty tricks in the past to keep his businesses going. Despite his reservations and unwillingness to attend, Grandma said that it would be good to go along since they operated in the same industry. It would be rather disrespectful to decline, and perhaps in the future it would be beneficial for their business.

Ultimately, Grandma decided to send Jimin to the banquet.

None of them knew that this was just an elaborate trap.

The moment he arrived, Jun Seo greeted him and introduced him to Y/N. As planned, a waiter came around with a tray of wine glasses. Jun Seo picked up two glasses and offered one to Jimin, the other to Y/N

"Y/N, do a toast for Mr Park."

Y/N was also forced to attend this banquet. She had never been into this kind of event, but tonight Jun Seo hired a professional makeup artist and stylist to dress her up. She wore a thin gold dress that showed off her legs and was quite open on the front and back side. It was unnecessarily revealing and she felt uncomfortable. But after being dragged here in front of Jimin, she finally understood what Jun Seo was trying to do. But she knew that this man had a girlfriend, a famous and beautiful singer. How could he expect her to compete with Kim Seulgi? She laughed internally.

Jun Seo glared at her, so she just raised her wine glass politely towards Jimin. The faster she could get this done and over with, maybe her father would realise how stupid this plan was. "Mr Park..."

Not long after she finished her wine, she started to feel dizzy and hot. Her temperature was rising rather rapidly, and it felt like she was burning from the inside. Within minutes she found that she couldn't sit still, feeling jittery and nervous. She couldn't describe what was happening to her.

Jun Seo came over and pretended to be worried. "Are you okay, Y/N?"

"I don't feel good, Pa. I'm going back to my room." She tried standing up but her vision started to get fuzzy as she stumbled weakly.

"Alright, let me get the maid to take you to your room." Although Y/N was unable to tell at the time through her hazy state of mind, Jun Seo had the unmistakable tone of excitement in his voice.

Although it was summer, the room was not supposed to feel this warm with the AC on. She couldn't understand why she felt so uncomfortably hot. Unable to take it anymore, Y/N wriggled herself out of the tight dress and threw it to the carpet. She laid down on the bed tiredly and closed her eyes, but found herself unable to fall asleep. What was this feeling?

Her breath was rushed, she felt that something inside her was almost unbearable.

Someone entered the room, but she was too busy to mind her business to even check. He laid down beside her, and she didn't know who started first but at some point it just so happened that their naked bodies were entangled together, and their lips melded together in feverish kisses.

The next day, they were woken up by loud bangs coming from the front door.

When Y/N opened her eyes, she was quickly met with a splitting headache. Her body felt sore and heavy, and she couldn't remember where she was or what she was doing. She turned her eyes towards the door as Jun Seo, her mother and Han Mi walked in with fake disappointment plastered all over their faces.

"Both of you, wear your clothes and immediately go downstairs!" Jun Seo reprimanded before leaving with her mother and a smirking Han Mi on his tail.

Y/N looked over to her side, and to her horror saw an equally disorientated Jimin next to her. He turned to her with a cold glare and laughed sarcastically. "I really did not expect it, Y/N. For someone as young as you to pull out a plan like this."

Nobody had ever schemed against him before, he was furious.

Y/N looked at Jimin's naked body before looking down to realise that she wasn't wearing anything either. She noticed a small red spot on the bed, and finally understood what had happened. She couldn't believe this, she was too dumbfounded to even cry.

After they put their clothes on, Jun Seo kept pretending to be an affectionate father who was protecting his daughter. He asked for compensation from Jimin for taking the innocence of his daughter. It was a pity that before he could even finish his words, Jimin already turned his body and left the Song's residence.

Jun Seo later noticed that Jimin couldn't be controlled, so he planned to involve the whole Park family. He brought Y/N to their residence after Jun Seo found out that Y/N was pregnant.

Y/N hesitantly looked up at Jimin's face. His eyes displayed a myriad of complex emotions, all muddled under his soft brown eyes. Anger, disgust, regret, sadness, pity, and understanding flowed through his mind as he processed the long and heavy story that had just been told.

There was a lingering fear in Y/N's heart that Jimin wouldn't believe her. She felt that she had laid herself bare to tell him the truth, and rejection would probably break her now that she was at her weakest.
