《COME TO ME | PJM》Chapter 91

Y/N glanced at the time; 6:12am. Last night Y/N slept very late but still woke up early in the morning. She stretched widely, feeling that the other side of the bed was still cold and untouched. Jimin definitely did not come home last night. Y/N groaned as she peeled the blanket off and sat upright. The sun was only barely starting to come out, so the room was still quite dark.
She sat down silently on the bed for a while, her body ached and she still felt really tired. Suddenly she felt like she wanted to vomit. She frowned and rushed to the bathroom, but even though she retched for a few times, there was nothing coming out.
Y/N sighed and walked over to the sink, splashing her face with cold water to wake herself up. She rubbed her belly tenderly. It looked like the second pregnancy was going to be just as painful as the first one.
As Y/N wiped her face with a towel after she finished washing her face and brushing her teeth, she heard her phone go off back in the bedroom. Making her way back to the room, she grabbed her phone and lazily fell back onto the bed and opened it to check the text.
It was from Krystal:
"Y/N, Kookie's grandma passed away last night."
Y/N's face turned pale as she sat up immediately. She thought of the kind woman who would accompany her and make her cookies when she didn't have many friends when she was little. Y/N would always call her grandma, and she would be happy to hear it; she always said that she was lucky to find such a kind and obedient granddaughter. Before she retired, she was an elementary school teacher. So she often invited Y/N over to teach her how to write and draw, and they would talk about her only grandson, Jeon Jungkook.
Grandma only had one child, who was Jungkook's mother. Although the mother and daughter were not on good terms, Jungkook was very close to his grandma. Jungkook often stayed abroad, but everytime he returned home, he would definitely come to his grandma's house to stay.
After something happened to the Jeon family, he stayed temporarily at his grandma's house, which is about the time he met Y/N.
Jungkook's grandma always brought Y/N and Jungkook together. Y/N always that felt it was probably her happiest moment during her childhood.
Y/N wiped away the tears on her cheeks and hurried to dial Jungkook, her fingers trembling as she looked for his contact.
The beeping caller tone felt like it rang forever; Y/N was starting to get increasingly nervous.

Y/N sighed as she ended the call. His phone must be off. She called a few more times, but she was met with the automated message each time.
"Where are you Kookie..." Y/N bit her lip nervously and paced around the room. She hoped that he was not in any sort of trouble.
Suddenly Y/N's phone rang, and she hurriedly answered.
"Kookie! Where are you, are you okay?"
"Y/N" The voice spoke. Y/N paused, it wasn't Jungkook. "Auntie?" Y/N replied. She didn't expect Jungkook's mother to call her. "Y/N, is Jungkook with you?" There was a hint of worry in her tone.
"No, I'm at home. Aunty, what happened to him? I haven't been able to reach him at all..." Y/N exhaled worriedly.
"Jungkook's grandma passed away last night... Jungkook has been missing since he found out and none of us have been able to contact him. Can you please help me find him? You probably know him best..." Jungkook's mother spoke anxiously, her voice laced with concern.
Y/N didn't expect that this kind of accident would happen. On the phone, she could hear Jungkook's mother start to silently sob. It must be very stressful for her right now.
"Auntie, don't worry. I will help you to look for him...." Y/N reassured her gently.
"Then please Y/N, thank you..."
Y/N ended the call and tried to think about how to look for Jungkook. Jungkook really loved and cared for his grandma; he stayed with her for several years, until he was sent abroad to study.
Y/N's heart was heavy and filled with sadness, so she couldn't imagine how Jungkook possibly felt at this moment. It's never easy to lose someone close to you after all.
Suddenly, she remembered a place. Maybe he would go there.
Y/N pulled out her phone and called Krystal to tell her to come look for Jungkook with her. Krystal was also worried about Jungkook, so she quickly agreed. "Wait for me at your home Y/N, I'll come and pick you up shortly!"
Y/N checked the forecast on her phone; it looked like the weather would be especially bad today with low temperatures and heavy snow. Peeking out the window, the sky was gray and everything just looked especially gloomy. Heading to her wardrobe, she opted for her favourite thick white turtleneck sweater and black jeans. She then chose a pair of fleece lined boots that were extra warm.
While waiting for Krystal to come, she went to Joon Min's room. As it was still early in the morning, he was still asleep. Stroking his head lightly, she instructed the maid to take care of him for a while as she would be leaving the house for a bit.

Y/N made her way to Grandma's room to let her know about the situation happening right now. Grandma nodded, telling Y/N to be careful. As she left Grandma's room, Y/N ran into Neon Yun and Jimin, who had just walked through the front door.
Y/N noticed that their faces did not look especially good. Neon Yun looked at Y/N coldly, but she didn't have time to mind her attitude so she greeted her regardless. "Mom." Y/N bowed slightly.
Neon Yun smiled fakely, but didn't reply.
She passed the duo, ignoring Jimin. Jimin watched her as she went, but said nothing.
Krystal's car was already waiting in front of the house when Y/N walked outside. Y/N hopped in, and gave Krystal a hug before fastening the seat belt. "Let's go."
Krystal eyed Y/N carefully. "Y/N, are you okay?"
"I'm okay." Y/N replied softly, giving Krystal a sad smile.
Krystal sighed, starting the car and pulling out of the mansion. "Don't try to hide anything, you know I know you too well..." Krystal also felt concerned as she knew Y/N also had a good relationship with Jungkook's grandmother.
Y/N only reached over and squeezed Krystal's hand reassuringly, but didn't say anything.
"By the way...I saw Jimin and his mom walk by when I pulled up. They didn't look that happy, did anything happen?" Krystal enquired.
Y/N shrugged. "They were out for the night. But nothing really happened just then."
Krystal frowned but decided that it wasn't a good time to question Y/N right now. "Alright... Well this is going to be quite a long trip. You honestly don't look too good so just take a rest first alright? I'll wake you up when we arrive."
Y/N nodded and leaned back on the chair. She closed her eyes for a while, but was unable to fall asleep even though she felt extremely drained. She couldn't help but think about Jungkook's grandma when she closed her eyes. She couldn't bear this torment, so she turned her attention to watching the scenery around them instead.
Krystal noticed Y/N looking out the window dejectedly. "Can't sleep?"
Y/N shook her head, turning her attention back to the gloomy surroundings.
The place that they were going was quite far and it would take around one hour to get there.
When they were little, Krystal, Y/N and Jungkook all lived here; but eventually one after another, they all moved away.
Krystal pulled into the empty driveway, parking the car in front of the house. They had arrived at Jungkook's grandma's house.
Y/N and Krystal exited the car and walked towards the front door. Y/N could feel herself getting emotional seeing the familiar surroundings; it had been a while since she last visited grandma's home.
Krystal rang the doorbell and the two waited anxiously for a response. "Do you think he's here?" Y/N bit her lip and rang the doorbell again. Krystal furrowed her brows in frustration. "Maybe Kookie is inside but unwilling to open the door?"
Y/N peered in through the window but couldn't see any movement from inside the house. "Let's not go inside...I don't think he's here." Y/N frowned.
"If he isn't here, where else could he be?" Krystal exhaled exasperatedly. Her breath was visible in the cold air. She was starting to get really concerned about Jungkook.
Y/N thought about it for a moment and remembered a place where Jungkook could probably be. "I think I might know... Come on let's get back to the car, it's really cold..."
"So what do you think? Where is he?" Krystal questioned as she started up the car. Y/N pointed to a place in front of them. "Let's go over there and take a look."
"You mean the mountain? Y/N, you think Kookie would really be there?"
"Maybe, I can't be a hundred percent sure. But there's this temple that he used to frequently visit with grandma."
Krystal shrugged. "Well we don't have much of a choice right now. If he's not there then we'll go look at some other places."
Y/N nodded. They drove over to the mountain road. The temple was quite a far way up from the base. The car could only go a part of the way, then you have to walk the rest to reach the place. As it was winter, the snow made the roads slippery and icy, so it was a slow ride up the narrow mountain roads.
"I don't think it's going to be an easy road to walk because it's snowing... I think it'll be muddy and rocky too. We need to be careful." Krystal was especially worried about Y/N's condition.
"It's okay, the walkway was reconstructed a few years back so it won't be too hard to get up there as long as it doesn't snow too hard."
Krystal nodded, still unsure. She hadn't been here since she was little, so she didn't really remember the path. "We're almost there"
"Okay."
