《COME TO ME | PJM》Chapter 83

There was no drugstore near the hotel so Jimin had to drive quite far to find one. When he finally arrived at the drugstore, he quickly searched for a pregnancy test and paid for it at the counter. Jimin exited the store and noticed a sushi restaurant across the street. He knew that Y/N loved seafood so he went in to buy some sushi for Y/N.

At this moment Jimin's head was filled with nothing but Y/N.

'Y/N could be pregnant, Y/N could be pregnant.....' Jimin repeated excitedly in his head. He almost couldn't believe it; they have been trying for so long and finally there were some signs.

Grabbing the sushi, he jumped into his car and quickly made his way back to the hotel.

By the time he arrived back in their hotel suite, Y/N had already changed into her pajamas and was lying on the bed waiting for him. Noticing his return, she immediately sat up and made her way over to him. "Did you get it?"

Jimin nodded and passed her the bag.

She took it and quickly went to the bathroom. Because the pregnancy test needed time to progress, she sat there waiting anxiously for the lines to show up.

At this moment Y/N's heart was beating so quickly it felt like it was going to leap out of her chest. Her head was filled with worry and fear; she didn't want to be disappointed again.

Jimin nervously paced back and forth in front of the door; the silence from inside the bathroom was almost deafening. He anxiously knocked on the door. "Y/N, how is it?"

"Not yet, just wait for a bit more." Y/N replied.

Jimin sighed impatiently, but after a few seconds he knocked again: "It still hasn't appeared?"

This time Y/N was lazy to respond to him again so she just calmly waited. She took the test out and braced herself before checking it again.

Y/N took a deep breath before opening her eyes.

It had two lines.....

She was really pregnant!

Y/N's heart filled with indescribable joy; her hand was shivered while holding the positive pregnancy test. Because she was afraid that she was wrong, she closed her eyes and opened it to make sure that she didn't make a mistake.

There was still two lines. "I really am pregnant." Y/N breathed shakily.

Jimin became increasingly nervous because there was no sign of movement and no noise coming from inside of the bathroom. He approached the door and cautiously knocked again. "Y/N, are you okay?"

He was worried that something bad might have happened to Y/N as earlier her face did not look well.

"What if she fainted? Should I just break the door down?" Jimin muttered to himself.

Before Jimin could break the door down, Y/N opened the door and stepped out of the bathroom; causing Jimin to step back and lose his balance slightly in shock.

Jimin quickly recovered and approached Y/N in a rush, who was standing there holding the pregnancy test in her hand. "How is it?" Jimin asked impatiently.

Y/N passed the pregnancy test to him, and he took it and examined it carefully. Jimin noticed it had two lines on it, but he didn't know it meant. "What does it mean?"

Y/N raised her head and looked at him seriously. "Jimin, I'm pregnant."

Jimin felt his mind go blank as he looked at the pregnancy test in his hands. Y/N started to get concerned as he didn't say anything, even as a few seconds passed.

Y/N reached over and shook his body lightly. "What happened? Why aren't you saying anything?"

Jimin snapped out of his daze and looked back up at Y/N. "Really?"

Y/N smiled widely and nodded. "Really."

"Really?"

Y/N nodded again and answered him patiently.

"Really, you're not lying to me?" Jimin asked for the third time. He was in disbelief.

Y/N rolled her eyes. "Why would I lie about something like this? Park Jimin, listen carefully, I'm pregnant..."

She hadn't finished her sentence as Jimin had swept her up into his arms. Y/N panicked and wrapped her arms tightly around Jimin's neck. "What are you doing?"

Jimin carried her to the bed and placed her down on the soft mattress. He lifted the hem of her shirt and placed his head on her bare torso, sticking his ear onto her belly.

Y/N looked down at him in confusion.

"What are you doing?"

"I'm trying to hear the baby's movement inside...."

Y/N started laughing uncontrollably. "The baby is probably only a few weeks old at most, how could you hear anything?" Y/N spoke between laughing fits.

Jimin released her and raised his head. He looked rather awkward; fake coughing to hide his embarrassment. He really didn't know. Jimin shifted himself onto the bed and laid down beside her, and stretched out a hand to caress her cheek gently. "Y/N, is it difficult being pregnant?"

Y/N examined his handsome face, not sure why he would ask such a question suddenly. Jimin stared back seriously; it seemed like he really wanted to know. Y/N rolled onto her back and looked at the ceiling, and she started to slowly recall the time she was pregnant with Joon Min.

"Just a bit." She smiled. "But Joonie was always a good one. He didn't really make it hard for me, I think maybe it was just my body. So for a certain period of time I always wanted to throw up, whatever I ate I would just throw up. It really scared grandma. When I couldn't eat anything, grandma thought it was because the chef was not skilled. She specially invited a personal chef to cook food I liked everyday...."

Y/N felt very grateful for grandma, she made everything easier during her pregnancy. Because when she entered Park Family, she was nervous and insecure. Although at first she thought she was kind to her because of the child inside her, after a while she noticed that grandma was really sincere toward her and she could feel it.

"At the late stage of the pregnancy, my feet were swollen. I couldn't go to the university, so grandma let me take a break from school. My entire body was in pain, no matter if I laid down or sat down, I felt pain..."

She really felt those days when she was carrying Joon Min were very hard to bear. She was just twenty years old and had just finished her second year of university. The first semester of the third year, she basically never attended the class. She couldn't eat anything, couldn't get a good night's sleep. Moreover, she was staying in the Park house, a completely strange and new environment.

If grandma wasn't there, perhaps she would have already ran away.

"At four months, we could determine the gender of the baby. The doctor pointed to the computer screen and said 'This is your son.' Then let us listen to his little heartbeat. That time I just cried, and grandma jokingly said that I was stupid..."

Afterwards, everytime she felt that life was too hard to bear, she would look at the ultrasound photo, and immediately she would quickly calm down. Joon Min was becoming her purpose to keep going and be strong.

She didn't know how she made it through those hard times. But now that she was recalling about it, she could only smile.

She noticed Jimin was silent all along, so she thought he was asleep. When she turned her head, she noticed his dark eyes were still fixated intensely on her. The two stared at each other silently for a few moments, but Jimin hadn't said a word yet.

"What's the matter?" Y/N whispered.

Jimin reached over to stroke Y/N's cheek before pulling her in to plant a light kiss on the corner of her lips.

"Y/N, I'm sorry."

It was the first time Jimin had ever apologized to her, and the first time for him to ever say sorry to anyone. He had never asked Y/N about what happened four years ago in his absence. He never knew any of it. He didn't know that during her pregnancy, she suffered a lot.

Y/N could only look at Jimin in shock. She never expected to hear those two words from Jimin at all.

She looked into Jimin's deep eyes; she could feel his sincerity just through his gaze. Y/N sighed and gave him a small smile.

"There's no need to apologize, from the start it was my decision to enter Park family and give birth to the child...." She spoke. Although it was because of Shin Ji that she did what she did, Jimin didn't need to know.

That time they didn't have any relationship. They were complete strangers, but they were about to have a child together. Everyone knew that aborting the child would have been a better choice.

Back then Jimin had wished that she would go through with the abortion, and of course she also thought that way in the past. If it was not because of Shin Ji's action of taking a knife and threatening to commit suicide in front of her; perhaps when Jimin first asked her to meet, she would have aborted the child already.
