《COME TO ME | PJM》Chapter 80

Because it was Joon Min's first time swimming, Y/N was pretty adamant on making sure he had all the gear he needed. She pulled out a pair of goggles and a swimming cap from the bag and tried to put them on Joon Min.
"Mom, I don't want to wear it." Joon Min pouted and put his hands on top of his head. He thought that he looked ugly when he was wearing the cap, so he shook his head to reject the idea.
Jimin had also finished changing his clothes; he reached over and lifted Joon Min up into his arms. "If he doesn't want to wear the cap it's okay, just let him be." He chuckled at Y/N's worried expression. "I'm here, what are you afraid of?"
Y/N nodded but handed Jimin inflatable arm floats. "Use this at least."
Jimin took it and his gaze fell on her body and frowned. "Why haven't you changed your clothes?"
Y/N hesitated a bit. Although she was fascinated by the magnificent sight of the infinity pool; but it was still water and she wasn't exactly fond of that. If she went in, she wouldn't be able to enjoy the view. She thought about it for a moment, but seeing Jimin and Joon Min both staring at her and waiting for an answer, she sighed defeatedly.
"Wait."
She replied before grabbing her swimsuit and heading into the changing room.
Jimin smiled and brought Joon Min to the swimming pool. He put Joon Min down before jumping into the shallow end of the pool first. He opened his arms and beckoned for Joon Min to jump in.
"Don't be afraid Joonie, dad will catch you." Jimin reassured him after seeing his hesitation.
At first Joon Min was a little bit afraid. He took a deep breath and looked at his dad who was waiting in the pool. He trusted that Jimin would catch him, so he stepped back a little before running to the edge and jumping into the pool with his eyes closed.
Joon Min felt the cold water envelop him and he held his breath expecting his head to go underwater. But before that could happen, he came into contact with a muscular body and strong arms wrapped around him; holding him up. Joon Min opened his eyes and saw Jimin smiling down at him proudly.

"That wasn't too bad was it?" Jimin beamed at the small boy who giggled back at him and shook his head. Jimin waded around in the shallow water for a bit to get Joon Min used to the water. "Should I put you down now Joonie?" Jimin asked. Joon Min nodded, but still grabbed onto Jimin's shoulders tightly.
Jimin grabbed the arm floats and put them onto Joon Min's arms before lowering him into the water slowly; still holding his torso firmly. The arm floats kept Joon Min's head above the water while Jimin supported him slightly.
"Try kicking your legs a bit. I can teach you how to swim properly once you get used to this." Jimin told Joon Min. The boy nodded and started kicking his feet slightly, helping keep his body more elevated above the water. "To float, just move your arms and feet." Jimin instructed. Joon Min laughed and moved his limbs more rapidly as Jimin let go of his waist; letting him float on his own.
"That's right Joonie, smart boy!" Jimin smiled and kissed his cheek.
"Dad, I'm swimming!" Joon Min shouted excitedly.
Y/N had already changed and was sitting on the sidelines watching the two play around. It was really a warm scene between father and son, and Y/N enjoyed the feeling that this was giving off. She went back to the changing rooms and grabbed her phone from the locker before returning to the poolside to snap several photos of the pair.
Joon Min noticed her and held onto Jimin, waving his hand toward her. "Mom, come join us!"
"Okay." Y/N replied, and returned back to the changing room to put her phone back. She returned to the poolside, stepping down onto the first step of stairs leading into the pool. Y/N froze in place as she felt the cold water on her feet. Even though it was barely just above the ankles right now she wasn't sure if she was willing to jump inside. She sat down on the step and let her legs rest in the water.
"You guys continue what you are doing, I will just stay here."
Joon Min nodded and returned to playing around with Jimin.
The sky started to get dark and the lights around the swimming pool started to light up. The people who were inside the swimming pool earlier started to get out and make their way back to their rooms.

But there were a few little kids there who looked like they were the same age as Joon Min.
After a while, Taehyung also came over and joined them. They all seemed to be skilled in swimming; it was just Y/N who couldn't swim.
Jimin passed Joon Min to Taehyung. "Play with Uncle Taehyung for a bit okay? I'm going to get mom." Jimin smiled.
"Okay! Let's go to the edge Uncle Taehyung I want to see the view." Taehyung complied and the two swam over to the other end.
Jimin swam over to Y/N who was still sitting at the poolside and extended his hand towards her. "Give me your hand, let's go down."
"Just wait..."
She hadn't finished her words as a pair of strong arms wrapped around her slender waist and pulled her into the water. The sudden feeling of her body falling into the water caught her off guard and she instinctively yelled; wrapping her arms around Jimin's neck and hugging him tightly in fear.
After she regained control, she noticed the people surrounding them were looking at her.
Her face immediately turned red. "Let me go."
He nodded.
Jimin loosened his hands on her waist, and her body started to sink down. Actually, she knew that the water in the pool was not really deep, it should only reach past her chest, but she was still very terrified. So when Jimin let her go she tightly clutched his wrist.
Jimin didn't support her.
Y/N felt irritated because he was the one that dragged her down into the pool in the first place.
She sighed, admitting defeat. "Jimin hold me." Y/N muttered.
This moment, she noticed there was a proud smirk on Jimin's face.
He finally held her waist again and let her slowly adapt to the water, but she still felt terrified so her hands still held onto Jimin's shoulders tightly.
"Don't you want to go over there?" Jimin pointed at the railing fence.
Y/N nodded. She wanted to go there all along.
"Let's go."
"What about Joonie?" Y/N didn't feel assured so she turned her head to look at Joon Min, but she noticed Taehyung was accompanying him and there were also a few kids. He gradually got close to them, and they learnt how to swim together with Taehyung helping out. They were talking and laughing; it was a good atmosphere.
"Taehyung will take care of him." Jimin reassured her.
Y/N nodded and followed him to the railings. But Jimin took her to the corner, it was an empty corner and nobody was there. It was so peaceful and the view was also beautiful.
Y/N moved closer to the railing until the railing was at her chest. She put her both hands on it, and started to look at the scenery.
Now the sky was completely dark, so she could only see the night view. She could see the thousands of stars sprinkled over the dark night sky; something that they couldn't really see back home.
The soft wind blowing over them made Y/N felt relaxed and content.
While she was focused on enjoying the night view, Jimin reached over and tucked Y/N's wet hair behind her ear before moving it to the other side. His fingers lingered over her soft cheeks and caressed it gently.
Y/N felt somewhat ticklish, so she moved her head away from him.
Jimin reached over again and clutched her chin, before leaning into kiss her collarbone.
"Why don't you wear the necklace I gave you?"
"I left it at home."
"Why don't you wear it?" Jimin repeated.
He didn't like excuses.
She turned to face him and fixed her eyes on his sad face. Y/N didn't know why but it hurt to see Jimin making such a dejected expression. "Because it is so beautiful, so I'm afraid that I will break it."
Indeed, the moment she said it, Jimin's frowning brows started to relax. He seized the opportunity to wrap his arm around her shoulder and pull her closer to him."After we go home just wear it. You need to wear it everyday."
"...." Y/N was somewhat speechless, but she didn't want to argue with him.
"Okay."

8 330The Girl He Used To Know - An UnderCurrent Story
Pierre Havelock is an author, atleast now he is. In truth 3 decades ago Pierre was dragged across space & time only to land on our boring old earth. So when one of his 'characters', a girl based on someone he once knew in his past life, appears before him - Pierre is less than best pleased. He is even less happy when said girl decides to make his house her new home! __Now on Royal-Road! ‘The Girl he Used To Know’ began life when I came across a rather silly prompt on a web-novel site I was using; "Theme: My 2D waifu is now my real life Valentine's!?"Well with a title like that I couldn’t help but be interested by the idea of leaving my usual writing niche and trying something a bit more novel. Tying it loosely back to my main series ‘UnderCurrent’, ‘GUK’ was born as a standalone romance novella which you are now holding, styled with Japanese tropes in mind from a more western perspective.I hope you will find this to be an interesting and fun read - Designed with the intent of being a somewhat contemplative and ‘cosy’ story - Whatever the case I thank you for picking it up and giving it a once over.- Momentie __I adapted Draft 2 to audio - I can't voice act, or edit, yet I kinda like it & find it personally the best way to enjoy the story😂 - https://youtu.be/kNWiSiZU53U
