Crying helplessly, Chloe waited for Axel. He deserved to know too. He is the father after all.

How can they be so careless? Why it didn't cross her mind? She searched about one-month pregnancy and everything creeped her out and her decision to abort this baby wavered completely.

Every time she closed her eyes, all she could see was a one-month fetus image that she saw on the internet.

To stop the urge to dig her nail into her palms, she began to bite her nails and her legs couldn't stop fidgeting. She was afraid, she didn't know how to tell him...

She heard the rattling of keys from outside of the door.

The door creaked open and Axel stepped in. He huffed and threw his bag on the floor. His eyes fell on her and he smiled tiredly. She smiled back at him suppressing the flood of tears behind her eyes. Walking towards her like a zombie, he slumped down on the couch beside her.

"Hi, baby" he took her hand in his and kissed it softly.

"Hi..."

"Can you get some water for me, please?" he asked, she nodded and got up quickly to get water for him.

Once she was in the kitchen alone, she placed the pregnancy stick on the kitchen counter and stared at it. Her eyes burned from the urge to cry. She shook her head and turned towards the fridge to get a bottle of cold water. She turned and gasped when she saw him standing behind her.

"What?" He asked frowning.

She looked at him and then at the pregnancy test resting on the table. She stepped forward, "Water" she handed him the bottle.

"Thank you, love"

Chloe stood before him and eyes the pregnancy test. He followed her gaze and saw the test. Stretching his arms, he tried to pick it up but Chloe snatched it before he could.

"What's that?" He questioned

"Umm... Nothing."

"Chloe, what is it?" He asked

She pressed her lips into a thin line and gulped. She meekly pulled out the stick from behind her and showed it to Axel. He stared at it and then back at Chloe.

"What does it mean?" He asked, he knew it was a pregnancy test.

She nervously tucked her hair behind her ear. "It's... Uh... I'm pregnant" she mumbled

"What do you mean?" He asked

"I'm pregnant, Axel. We're having a baby..." She squeaked, her voice a tiny whisper.

Axel was rooted to his spot, he gripped the bottle tightly in his hands. "No, we're not," he said keeping his calm.

A line appeared between her brows. "What?"

He sighed calmly. He saw how shaken up she was. "Chloe, we are seventeen, we can't have a child"

"I know..."

"Get rid of it" he ordered

"Get rid of it?! Axel, that's our child" she said.

"Chloe, we are in no way ready for a fucking child! We are barely surviving in this dumpster and now you want to add another person's responsibility on us? I CAN NOT AFFORD A FUCKING CHILD RIGHT NOW!" He yelled

"SO WHAT? YOU WANT TO KILL IT?!" she yelled back at him.

"YES!" he shouted

Tears threatened to escape but she held them in. "No," she stubbornly shook her head. "No way in hell I am aborting this child, Axel"

"Chloe, are you crazy? Look around us! We need to pay rent, our salary barely covered food for this month"

"I know but it's not like this baby is gonna get born tomorrow, we've eight months. We'll figure something out"

Axel put both of his hands to his sides as he stared up at the ceiling. "I'm a fucking mechanic, you are a fucking waitress, eight months or eight years nothing is gonna change that!"

"We'll give it up for adoption" she whimpered

Axel's frown deepened. "You think I'm gonna let my child rot in some orphanage? Do you think a King will grow up in a fucking orphanage?!"

"It's better than murdering our child!"

"It's not fucking murder!"

"It is! It has ears..." She mumbled lowly.

"What?" He asked confused out of his mind.

"Our baby has ears and a head, and a body..." She wiped her tears furiously.

"You are still getting an abortion, Chloe" he deadpanned heartlessly.

She gazed at him helplessly. "Axel, this is our child. It is your child too"

He sighed deeply. "I have my whole life to be a father. But that doesn't mean I'm ready to be one right now."

"I'm not ready to become a mother either but I won't murder my child!"

He pointed a finger in her face and threatened. "Then you have to choose. It's either me or this fucking child!" He snarled and stormed out of the apartment.

She fell to the kitchen floor and pulled her legs close to her chest. She rested her face on her knees as silent tears escaped from her eyes.

Axel mindlessly walked around the city. He was tired and miserable. He missed his mother, he missed his sister, he missed his friends. He hated to admit it but he missed his father the most. He sat down at a bench and held his head in his hands.

"I miss you, dad" he whispered.

He wiped his tears and pulled out his cellphone. He dialed a number and waited...

"Hello? Axel?" Came an eager voice.

"Ace..." Axel breathed

"Where are you, man? What the fuck?!" He snapped

Axel's voice broke. "I need you, Ace... I need my friend"

"Where are you right now?" He asked

"I'm in California..."

"What the fuck are you doing in California?"

"Can you come?"

"Yes, of course!"

Axel went on telling him his address. They talked a little more than he hung up. Axel didn't go home that night. He went over to Jayden's garage and slept there. He woke up the next morning and continued doing his job as if nothing has happened.

Chloe kept pacing back and forth in their apartment. Looking through the windows and door to see if Axel came back. She sat on the couch and cried the whole night until she grew tired and fell asleep on the same couch.

She woke up miserable with a pounding headache. She mindlessly sat there with Axel's word ringing in her mind.

Meanwhile...

Axel worked tirelessly. Jayden approached him and sighed. "Kid?"

"Yeah?"

"Some fancy looking fellas are here for you"

Axel wiped his hands and walked out with Jayden. A wide smile stretched across his face as he saw Ace and Chris. He practically ran towards them and hugged both of them at the same time. They hugged him back immediately. They pulled away and Axel smiled with tears shining in his eyes.

"You look like shit" Ace laughed

"This is where you work?" Chris asked stunned. He looked around with disgust.

"Yes," Axel put his hands in his pockets.

"Won't you introduce me?" Jayden asked jollily.

Ace extended his hand. "Ace Harding"

Watching Ace, Chris did too. "Christian Rawls"

Jayden eyed the Limousine behind them and assessed both of them from head to toe. Their watches, their expensive shoes, clothes, the gold chain around Chris's neck. "These rich ass fellas are your friends?"

"Yeah" Axel laughed

"He's super-rich too, I don't know what the fuck is he doing here!" Chris mumbled looking around.

"The man is in love" Ace smiled

Jayden looked between the three of them. "You can take the evening off. Go hang out with your friends"

"Thanks, Jayden," Axel said

They all walked towards the limo settled in. Axel sighed in relief.

"Fuck, I missed you guys so fucking much!"

"We missed you too, man but a car mechanic? Really? Axel King fixing old rusty cars? Never thought I'd live to see this day..." Chris mumbled

"Love makes you do stupid shit" Ace mumbled lost in his own world. He snapped out of it and faced Axel. "How's Chloe?"

"She's fine... And pregnant"

"Shit!" Ace and Chris mumbled in unison.

"You are gonna be a father?" Chris asked

"No, I plan on aborting it" he mumbled

"What does Chloe want?" Ace asked

"She wants to keep it..."

"Then you have to keep it" Ace answered

"No, I don't have to do it. I can not afford a fucking child right now. You have no idea about the shit I have done to survive. I'm not gonna have a child right now!"

"But it's her body..." Chris trailed off

"Did you bring it?" Axel asked Chris

"Bring what?" Ace asked looking between both of them.

"Abortion pills..."

"Yeah... I didn't know it was for Chloe..." Chris handed him a prescription bottle.

"You called us here to help you kill your child without Chloe's consent?" Ace asked horrified.

Axel got annoyed. "I'm not gonna do it without her consent. I'm gonna give these to her and it'll be her decision"

"Axel, are you sure about this? If it's about money then I can send you money every month" Ace offered

"You don't have to worry about it. I will help you too" Chris said

"I'm not gonna take money from you guys. I just want this child to die! Chloe and I are fine. I love her but I don't have space in my heart to love a child!"

"But it's your child!" Ace snapped

"If Veronica got pregnant right now, what would you do?" Axel questioned

Ace shrugged. "I'd tell my dad or grandpa Mason or my mom"

"Yeah, well, as you can see I don't have my family's support with me right now!"

"But it doesn't have to be this way, Axel. Call your dad, he is going crazy trying to find you." Ace answered

"Yeah, man, Mr. King looks miserable without you. Anyone can see that." Chris told him.

Axel looked between both of them stunned. His father missed him. He still loved him. The thought made him happy.

Ace sighed "Your sister called me the other day asking if I knew anything about you!"

"What did you say? Was she fine?"

"She is fine but your parents aren't. Your mom is depressed, man" Ace told him.

"Would you tell dad about my whereabouts? Just don't tell him that I asked you to tell him. Just tell him where I am casually like tell him I called and you decided to tell him" Axel said as hope shined in his eyes.

"Will do..." Ace nodded

"Well, I have to go home now. Chloe must be worried, I haven't been home since last night."

"You mean she's alone?"

Axel nodded. "We got into a fight... About that fucking child" He shook his head. "I love my Chloe, I do and I hate that child for coming between us. I'm not gonna lose Chloe over that piece of shit!"

Ace and Chris looked at him astonished. "It's your child..." Ace mumbled afraid of what his reaction might be.

"No, it's not" Axel deadpanned

"Then wear a fucking condom next time!" Chris snapped

Axel sighed tiredly. He didn't want to fight with his friends and had no energy for all this. "You guys can drop me home now"

Axel gave the driver the directions and a few minutes later they reached this apartment. Axel got off and so did Ace. Chris stayed in, Axel was acting like an asshole.

Ace put some money in Axel's pocket. "Just take it and call me if you need anything else" saying that, he sat back in his car and they drove off.
