"Chloe, baby... Come on!" He trailed after her.

Seeing that the class has already started, Chloe decided to skip the period altogether and go study in the library. She was actually shaken up by everything that happened. She needed to process it. She pushed open the library door and found no one inside.

"The library... Perfect" Axel said and walked closer to her. "Chloe, listen to me!" He said sternly.

"I don't want to!" She said and slumped down in her seat.

"Would you tell me what did I do wrong?" He asked frustratedly

"I asked you if you were okay with this Theo thing and you said you were!" She snapped

"I said I was fine with you because I trust my girlfriend. I never said anything about that shitface." He explained

"Why did you beat him up, Axel?" She asked lowly.

"For my own satisfaction" he declared proudly.

"What?"

"I love you, Chloe and I love all of you, even the parts you don't want the world to know. I want you to love all of me too. I'm flawed, Chloe, I'm not perfect."

"I do love all of you" she mumbled. "With all my heart."

"I'm possessive. I'm so fucking possessive of you that the slightest threat makes me restless and angry. If any other guy approached you I will do the same again. You are mine and I don't like to share. Your boyfriend is possessive and egotistical, deal with it." He told her with a deep frown.

Sighing deeply, she put her hand on her forehead. "Did you... Did you tell him about us?"

He cupped her face and made her look at him. "Of course not! Do you take me for a fool? I shamed him for harassing girls!"

She sighed. "He didn't harass me, Axel. He respectfully came clean about his feeling and when I told him no, he didn't push me. He understood"

Axel rolled his eyes. "I know, I just needed a reason to beat him up." He pulled out a chair next to hers and sat down. He pulled Chloe onto his lap, her side to his front. "Sometimes... Sometimes I just want to lock you up in my basement and never let you leave"

Her head whiplash in his direction, her eyes went wide. She tried to get up but he held her tightly against him. "Axel, what the hell?!" She snapped

"I'm kidding!" He burst out laughing and pulled her in for a kiss. "I love you" he mumbled sucking on her lips impatiently.

She pulled away and placed both of her legs on either side of him. He trailed kisses down her neck and he licked her collarbone. She tangled her fingers into his hair as he sucked on her neck.

"You" she breathed heavily. "Told..." she moaned and her eyes closed involuntarily. "Ace... That I was scared of him?"

His hands traced her tiny curves and he rested them over her little breasts, he gently squeezed them from over her clothes. "I wanted" he licked her cleavage. "You guys to be friends" he mumbled and pulled her in for another kiss.

A loud sound broke their kiss. They both jumped back and looked around frantically. "What was that?" She asked breathing heavily.

Axel stood up and gently lowered her to the ground. They walked in the direction from where the sound came from and saw two to three books laying on the ground. The sound of the library's door opening and closing caught their attention. Axel ran towards it and saw no one outside of the library.

"Someone was here, Axel," Chloe said in a tiny whisper. "What if someone saw us? What about your dad?"

He cupped her face. "Hey! Don't worry about it. No one in this school has the guts to mess with me and don't worry about my dad. I'll always protect you from him"

Axel glanced towards the door with furrowed eyebrows and gulped.

Fawn ran hastily without even looking where she was going. She turned and collided with a rock-hard chest.

"Woah!" Ace said pulling her away from him.

She got rooted to her spot. Watching Ace this close to her made her forget everything. Ace looked down at her phone and saw a couple making out in the library.

He laughed. "What the fuck is that?" He took her phone from her, her eyes widened and she tried to snatch it back but Ace raised it above his head, so, that she couldn't reach it.

"Let me watch" he laughingly said

He played the video and his smile fell immediately as he saw his best friend and his girlfriend. The amused expression turned into a scowl.

"What the fuck!" He snapped and glared at her. "Why do you have their video? Why were you recording them?" He asked pissed off. His first thought was Dominic King, maybe he paid someone to keep an eye on Axel.

Fawn's eyes teared up immediately. She put a hand on her mouth and ran away from him, leaving her phone behind.

"Hey! What the fuck is your name?" He asked from behind her. He looked at the video one more time and put her cellphone in his pocket, hoping she'd come back for it.

After her shift at the store, Chloe finally went home. She groaned as she remembered that she has to do her chores as well.

She reached home and the first thing she did was to clean the entire house, her bedroom, her father's bedroom, she cleaned up the bathroom and then showered. She then went straight to the kitchen to cook dinner for her father and herself. She set the table and called her father, who was watching TV in their tiny living room.

She set his plate and hers. He came and smiled at his daughter. They sat down at started to eat.

"How's school?" Hugh asked

"Why do you care?" Chloe answered nonchalantly.

He cleared his throat. "That guy... The other day, is he your boyfriend?" He asked

"What guy?" She asked giving all her attention to her food.

"You know the guy that came to pick you up and you were all dressed up for him..." He tailed off watching his daughter closely.

"No, he is not my boyfriend," he said simply

"I saw him kissing you in the car," he said

Chloe annoyedly dropped her fork onto her plate and stared her father dead in the eyes. "Why were you watching us?"

"You looked so happy with him. I was staring at you" he mumbled embarrassed

Chloe sighed. "Yes, dad. He is my boyfriend" she told him.

Hugh grinned. "He seemed to be very caring towards you"

Chloe smiled. "He is..."

"He loves you?" He asked

Chloe frowned. "What's with all the questions?"

"Nothing just wanted to know about him" he shrugged and smiled.

"Hmm," she didn't want to answer his question, so she just hummed.

Hugh wiped his face with a napkin. "He also looked rich"

That caught Chloe's attention and she frowned at her father. "All of the kids at my school are super-rich, dad. He isn't anything special"

"He is rich and he loves you," Hugh said

"What do you mean by that, dad?" She snapped and squinted her eyes.

He held her hand sweetly. "Have you told him about our... Debt?"

Chloe stared at him unbelievably. "Why would I tell him that?"

"You know... He's rich and he loves you..."

"And?!" Chloe snapped

"And he can help us out. He has enough money. That kind of money is nothing for Axel King" he said

"How do you know his name?!" Chloe almost shouted

"Y-you told me"

A boiling fury swelled inside of her. "No, I didn't!"

Hugh ignored his daughter's reaction and went on saying. "Louie, this is good. He loves you, you can tell him that your life is on the line. I'm sure, he will pay the debt. Just ask him"

Nostrils flaring, she stood from the table, fist clenched at her sides. "You'll never change, dad. For a second there I thought you actually cared about me and what's going on in my life and that you were happy for me but no. You always have ulterior motives behind your fake care." She laughed humorlessly. "I should know that by now but the stupid daughter inside of me always fall for your shit"

Hugh stood up as well. "Louie, you are getting it all wrong. I'm just saying if he pays our debt, we will be free. You will be free and it won't even make a dent in his bank account. I'm thinking about you too. Do you remember what those men said when they were here? They will come for you this time and I won't let that happen-"

Chloe cut him off and shouted. "Then fucking do something about it yourself. You are the reason we're in this mess." She breathed heavily.

Hugh grew annoyed. "You know I can't" he mumbled. "That's why I want to ask your boyfriend-"

"Don't you dare, dad! I'm warning you, I want you nowhere near Axel. Do you understand me?" She warned pissed off.

Hugh looked between the ground and his daughter. "Fine..." He breathed out with difficulty.

"Good," she said and picked up the dishes. After washing and drying them, she finally went to bed and thought about what her father said.

This was the reason she didn't want him to see Axel... Ever. She knew something like that will happen and now she couldn't help but feel anxious. What if her father approaches him or asks for money? What will Axel think about her and her dad?

If only she could get away from everything...
