Chloe was sitting in the library with the three of her friends. They were all in this school on scholarship. They all came from the almost same background, so they felt comfortable with one another.

"Oh my god! Have you guys seen the new girl? She is so pretty. I heard her father is an oil tycoon." Diana said, paying no attention to the notebook before her.

"I saw Ace Harding and her getting cozy in the hallways. She has been here for four days and she already has his attention" Fawn mumbled, jealous. She had the biggest crush on Ace and she didn't even try to hide it.

"I wonder what Ella has to say about it. I'm pretty sure Ace and Ella are fucking and they are not as discreet as think they are." Theo laughed. "They think no one sees them frequenting the janitor's closet"

Fawn flipped her hair back. "I even heard that Ella the blond bimbo slept with every guy in the football team. She must have slept with Ace too" she shrugged.

"Guys, it's their life, we shouldn't gossip about others. Ella is a nice girl and she is my friend." Chloe mumbled

"Ella is nice?!" Fawn said sarcastically. "She is horrible. She acts like she owns this school"

"How can you say that, Fawn? You don't even know her. I know her personally and trust me half of the things you guys hear about her are just rumors. She is genuinely nice." Chloe said

Fawn was about to say something when Theo cut her off. "If Chloe says she's nice then maybe she is. And Chloe is right we don't know her personally and we shouldn't gossip" He said and smiled at Chloe.

"Of course, you'll take her side" Fawn mumbled annoyedly. She picked up her stuff and stomped out of the library.

Theo gestured for Diana to leave as well. She nodded and picked up her stuff.

"Where are you going?" Chloe asked

"I'm gonna go, check up on Fawn. You know how she is when she is angry." She made up an excuse and trotted out of the library, leaving Theo and Chloe alone.

They studied a bit more and then Chloe checked the time on her cellphone. "I should go"

She had to go meet Axel at the back of the school, so, they could leave for Ace's penthouse.

"Chloe, wait," Theo said and held her hand.

Theo was a sweet guy. He was not very confident. His heart raced and he could feel his cheeks getting red. He gripped onto her hand as he tried to breathe slowly and told himself to calm down.

"Chloe... I need to tell you something" he croaked out with difficulty. With his forefinger, he pushed back his glasses as they kept slipping down.

Chloe eyed her hand in his and then back at his face. She knew what he was about to say. She knew about it for a while now that's why she refrained from being alone with him or she'd make up an excuse and run away from the scene. But now, alone in the library with her hand in his grip, she knew she had to finally listen to what he has to say.

"What is it?" She asked.

"It's better if I show you" he laughed nervously and unlocked his cellphone.

He opened a video on his cellphone and pressed play. It was him... Sitting on a chair in his bedroom. He adjusted his camera a few times and sat back down. He sat there and played with his fingers. Chloe looked between him and the video apprehensively.

He waved and said. "Hi, Chloe. I know I won't be able to say it in front of your face. So, I am making this video" as the video progressed the cellphone fell to the ground showing his messy room behind. He picked it up again and anxiously adjusted it back in its position.

Peeling her eyes away from the video Chloe glanced at Theo and he looked away shyly unable to meet her eyes. She looked back at the video and saw him rubbing his palms together.

"I... Uh... I have... Um," he laughed and continued. "I have a crush on you, Chloe. I would like to be your boyfriend and I would love to have you by my side as my girlfriend" he said in a single breath.

And with that, the video ended.

He looked at Chloe from the corner of his eyes. "So?" He asked hopefully.

Chloe's heart felt heavy. She pulled out her hand from his grip. She loved Axel and she didn't like it, that she was sitting here with a guy who supposedly had feelings for her while Axel was waiting for her outside.

"I'm sorry, Theo but I think we are better off as friends." She mumbled politely.

"Why?" He asked almost like he was about to cry, his nervous demeanor changed to annoyance.

"Because I'm not ready for a relationship. I want to focus on my studies. I don't want a relationship right now. I'm sorry" saying that, she got up and perched her bag over her shoulder. She strode out without looking back.

She hurriedly walked to the back of the building and relief wash over her as she saw him waiting for her there. He was leaning against his car door, sunglasses on and his arms crossed over his chest. When he saw her straightened up. She smiled widely and ran towards him and engulfed him in a hug.

"Hey," he smiled and peppered kisses all over her face.

"Let's go" she mumbled and hurriedly sat in the car.

Making sure that no one was there, Axel sped out of there.

"Axel?"

"Yes, my love?"

"There is something you should know" she mumbled

"What?"

"You know my friend, Theo..."

"Yeah, I know that weirdo"

Chloe pursed her lips. "Axel!"

"Chloe, he looks like a serial killer from the 70's" he laughed loudly and Chloe suppressed the smile that crept up.

"I said no..." She made it clear first.

"To what?" He asked and glanced at her while driving.

"As you are my boyfriend, I shouldn't hide this from you because Theo is going to be around me a lot as we are in the same groups and he also my friend but I want you to know that I said no and I only love you," She told him hurriedly.

"Babe, slow down. What happened?" Axel asked

"Theo asked me to be his girlfriend," she said

Axel didn't react, he slowed the car and parked it to the side. He turned towards Chloe in his seat and raised an eyebrow. "He said what?" His tone changed entirely.

"He asked me to be his girlfriend and he made a video about it... Obviously, I said no." She explained slowly.

Axel's jaw clenched and he nodded. "Okay," he said and revved the engine of his car before driving again.

"You are not mad at me, are you?" Chloe asked

"Why would I be mad at you? It's not your fault that you are so pretty and kind that everyone who knows you can't help but fall in love with you" he said and smiled at her. "You said no, and you told me about it. I think I love you even more now if that's possible"

"Oh, okay" she smiled

They reached Ace's penthouse and stepped out of the car. Axel respectfully handed the keys to the Valet. He thanked him and tipped him as well as they walked in, hand in hand.

As they walked in, Axel locked the elevator and Chloe hugged him from behind. "Do you have any idea how sexy you look being chivalrous?"

He turned in her hold and pulled her towards him with a jerk. "Sexy enough to turn you on?" He asked mischievously.

"Oh yes!" She leaned in to kiss him.

After they were done with their sweet make-out session. Chloe washed her face and adjusted her clothes. Axel stood behind her and combed her hair.

"Ouch!" Chloe squeaked

"Oh, sorry," he said and gave all his attention to combing her hair.

She smiled and leaned her back over his front. She felt his hardened member poking her lower back.

"Axel..." She said in a tiny voice. "You are..." She trailed off and gestured down with her eyes through the mirror.

He chuckled and put the hairbrush aside. He put her hair to one side and kissed her neck. "Don't worry about it. I can take care of myself. I won't do anything until you are ready" he placed his face on her shoulder and hugged her from behind.

"Sometimes I can't believe that I'm lucky enough to have someone like you in my life. I love you so much, Axel," she turned and hugged him tightly.

Axel groaned in her ear and she laughed pulling away. "Baby, I love you too but I really need a cold shower right now"

She laughed. "Go!"

Axel came out of the shower after half an hour. "Come on, I'll drop you at the store."

"You are fine now?" She asked mischievously.

"You are enjoying my suffering, aren't you?"

"Very much" she grinned

They stepped out of the building and the valet handed him the keys back.

"You know, I have been meaning to ask you something," he said sliding in the driving seat.

She fastened her seatbelt. "What?"

"Would you like to go to Claire's party with me?" He asked

She frowned. "Wouldn't it be weird, if we went together?"

"My dad isn't gonna be there and everyone will be too drunk to even remember anything the next day" he reasoned

"But still... What if someone told your dad or took our picture together?" She asked

He sighed loudly. "I just want to spend a night out with my girlfriend without worrying about everyone. If dad finds out about us, so be it. I can handle him later."

"Okay..." She smiled

"Really?" He asked as his eyes lit up.

She nodded. "Yes... Let's do it"
