《Pranking The Bad Boy》Bonus Chapter 1.

"No way. Not happening," I said as I stepped out of the dressing room and stood in front of the three-way mirror.
Isla, who was sitting in a chair just two feet away, started laughing hysterically.
I rolled my eyes at her and stared at the pink fluffy tulle dress that covered half of my body.
Ryder, Isla, Blake and I were all wedding shopping. Not for our wedding but for Isla's cousin's wedding.
Ryder and Blake had run off as soon as we walked into the mall, not wanting to deal with Isla's strict planning. Honestly, I wish I would have run off with them.
While they were shopping for suits, Isla and I were currently standing in a dress shop, searching for dresses since apparently I don't have anything that would fit a wedding.
"Okay, yeah. I have to admit I just picked that one out to see how ridiculous you would look," Isla admitted between fits of laughter while wiping away the tears that were rolling down her cheeks.
"Who would have guessed," I grumbled and tried to adjust the top by pulling on the tight material. "Why do we have to go to this wedding anyway? I've met your cousin once."
"Because she wants a big wedding so she told avery family member to brig two or three more people," Isla explained. "She loves presents."
As I was pulling up the dress so that my boobs wouldn't spill out, Ryder and Blake walked through the doors of the store and walked to the corner where Isla and I were.
Blake just chuckled and shook his head before sitting down next to Isla.
Ryder however stopped walking completely and stared at me with wide eyes. His lips rolled into his mouth as if he was trying not to burst out laughing.
I raised an eyebrow at him, silently telling him to keep his mouth shut.
His mouth turned into a grin that he was trying to force down before he too started laughing.
"Babe, what are you wearing?" he spoke as he walked towards me, still chuckling.
"I wasn't the one who picked it out," I explained and playfully glared at Isla.
"Alright, alright," Isla said and held up her hands in defeat while rolling her eyes. "I'll admit it was my idea to put her in it. You have to admit though, it was a great idea," she chuckled.
I rolled my eyes and turned back to the mirror, pulling a bit more at the dress.
"I swear, if anyone else sees me in this I'll--"
Just as I was talking, the shutter of a camera went off and I saw Ryder holding up his phone.
"Ryder!" I exclaimed and glared at him.
I tried to reach for his phone but he held it above his head. I would have jumped up to grab it but since I was wearing a short, tight dress I figured that it wasn't the best idea.
"I hate you," I told him and stuck my tongue out at him before punching him in his stomach and turning back around.
"Relax. I'm not showing anybody this," he replied and playfully petted my head.
I glared at him and slapped his hand off. "Then what is it for?"
"Leverage," he simply said.
"Leverage?" I asked, wanting him to further explain.
"Correct. Because every now and then you always find some way to make me do whatever you want. And now," he cheekily smiled and waved his phone in front of my face, "so do I."

"I'll murder you in your sleep," I threatened before walking into the dressing room to change back.
"Love you too!" he called to me.
I chuckled lightly to myself as I got out of the uncomfortable fairy princess unicorn and whatnot dress, glad that I was able to move around again.
"You better look good," I muttered under my breath as I took the last dress Isla picked out off of the hanger.
After changing, I stepped out of the dressing room and walked to the three-way mirror once more.
"What do you think?" I asked Isla and ran my hands over the peach material that clung to my body and stopped a little over my mid-thigh. "Actually, I don't care what you think because I think it looks fine and I am not trying on any more dresses," I spoke and smiled sweetly while turning around to face the other three.
"Yes! This is it!" Isla exclaimed and jumped up from her seat.
She ran over to me and turned me around to see all of the dress.
"Um, I don't think so," I heard Ryder say.
Isla's head snapped up to look at him and glared in his direction.
"What do you mean?" she asked through gritted teeth.
Honestly it was kind of scary, but I was used to seeing her like this when she set her mind to something and somebody ruined her plans.
"I am not letting her wear that," Ryder replied and shook his head.
"Why not?!" Isla exclaimed and through her hands up in annoyance. "It's perfect!"
"It's also," Ryder said and stood up to walk over to us, "way too short. Every guy there will be staring at her." He stood in front of Isla and crossed his arms over his chest while raising an eyebrow, showing her that he wasn't going to budge from his decision.
"Um, excuse me," I said and pushed myself between the two of them. "The girl who's actually wearing the dress coming through."
"She looks amazing," Isla argued.
"I don't want other guys staring at her," he argued back, both of them ignoring me.
"Hello," I called and waved my hand in front of their faces.
Both of them didn't react and kept on having a stare off.
I rolled my eyes and groaned in annoyance. "A little help here," I said and looked to Blake who was flipping through one of the celebrity magazines that were laying on the little coffee table.
"You're on your own," he chuckled as he looked up before going back to reading.
"I'm gonna get you back for this," I threatened before turning back to the still arguing two.
"Okay, listen up!" I exclaimed.
This time, they both stopped talking and looked at me.
"You," I said and pointed at Ryder. "Sit." I pointed to the seat next to Blake.
Reluctantly, Ryder went to sit down next to Blake, a scowl on his face.
"And you," I said and turned to Isla. "Come with me."
Still wearing the dress, I walked to another corner of the store. Isla followed me and looked at me with expectant eyes, waiting for me to explain.
"Alright, here's the plan. You and Blake go eat or something. In the mean time, I'm going to convince Ryder to let me buy the dress," I said to her.
"How are you going to do that?" she asked me.
"I don't know yet. But I'll figure something out," I told her and shooed her back to where Ryder and Blake were sitting. "Now go."

"Babe, come on let's go eat," Isla said and walked over to Blake.
His head shot up and he quickly got up and start walking to the exit of the store.
"Well, see ya, man! Looks like you'll be stuck here for a while," Blake called out to Ryder.
Ryder glared at him got up. He was about to follow Blake but I grabbed onto his shoulder and held him in place.
"Just hold up," I said to him.
Ryder sighed and turned around to face me. "I'm not letting you wear that."
"But whyyyy!" I whined and wrapped my arms around his torso, trying to get him to give in. "Please?"
"No."
"Ryder," I groaned. "You'll be with me the whole time. No guy is going to come up to me or whatever you think they'll do. When they see you standing next to me they'll be too scared to look anyway."
"Kennedy, I don't care," he replied.
I rolled my eyes and was about to let go of him when another idea popped into my head.
"How about," I said and leaned my head close to him so that I could whisper in his ear. "If you let me buy this, I'll buy something that's just for you."
I leaned back to look at his face while biting my lip and trying to wiggle my eyebrows suggestively. I failed miserably though. But I don't think Ryder really noticed because he was staring at me with lust filled eyes.
"But then again, you probably won't let me buy the dress anyway," I said and let go go him, stepping back.
"Ju--hold on," Ryder said and grabbed onto my arm to pull me closer to him. "How about we compromise."
"I just did," I reminded him.
"Okay, I'll let you buy the dress," he said.
"Yay!" I exclaimed.
"If....," he continued. "I'm allowed to give you a hickey just to, you know, show that you belong to someone and pick out what else you're going to buy." He smirked at me, waiting to see how I would reply.
"Or....I pick out what else I'll buy cause, you know, I wouldn't want to ruin the surprise and you get one small hickey."
I smiled sweetly at him.
We both knew that I wasn't going to budge anymore and I think he realised that he wasn't getting anything else out of it.
"Fine," Ryder sighed in defeat.
"Great!" I exclaimed and changed back into my jeans and t-shirt.

After buying the dress and walking to the food court to find Blake and Isla, we were all sitting at the table and eating.
"Kens, come get a smoothie with me?" Isla said and stood up.
"Uh, sure," I replied and followed her to the place that sold smoothies.
"Did you get the dress?" she asked me in a low whisper.
"Yeah, I did," I replied in a normal tone. "Why are you whispering?"
"Incase Ryder is listening. Duh."
I looked across to the other side of the food court and saw Ryder gulfing down his burger.
"Unlikely," I said to her.
She rolled her eyes and studied the board with all the choices of smoothies. "How did you get him to let you buy it?"
"I told him I'd get some lingerie and that he's allowed to give me a hickey before we go to the wedding."
Isla looked at me with a raised eyebrow. "Seriously? You're gonna buy lingerie?"
"Psh, no," I replied. "Do you know how expensive that stuff is?"
"And the hickey?"
"I just bought new concealer like a week ago."
"Looks like you have everything covered."

"How much longer until we cut the cake?" I asked Ryder and Blake who were having a conversation behind me while I stared at the huge wedding cake in front of me.
"Resist the urge," Blake teased. "I'm going to go find Isla," he told us before walking off.
"I think that lady in the purple dress is about 2 seconds away from devouring me," Ryder spoke uncomfortable and wrapped one of his arms behind my back.
I looked in the direction he was looking and saw a woman in her mid-forties wearing a ruffly purple dress and staring hungrily at my boyfriend.
Although I must say, I didn't blame her. He did look incredibly hot in a suit.
I started to laugh but covered it with a cough when Ryder sent me a glare.
"Why don't you go find out what her name is," I teased and started to walk to our seats by the aisle.
"Not funny," he replied and looked nervously over his shoulders. "I swear she looks like she's going to attack me."
"Stop acting out," I replied and rolled my eyes while lightly slapping his chest.
Pretty soon, everyone was seated. Including the lady in the purple dress who sat across the aisle in the same row that we were in.
Let me skip the boring part and just brief you through the events. A guy and a girl who I've seen once in my life before stood in front of everyone, they spoke a few words, kissed and got married.
That about sums it up.
But now came the good part.
The celebration food.
"Hey, what happened to the hickey gave you?" Ryder asked me as I shovelled another fork of wedding cake into my mouth.
"Hmm?" I asked with my mouth still full, as if I didn't know what he was talking about.
He narrowed his eyes at me. "I bet you didn't even buy the other thing."
"Oh, look!" I exclaimed and set my now empty plate down. "There's Isla." And then I quickly ran off before Ryder could ask any more questions.
"Hey, girl," I said as I walked up to her.
"Hey!" Isla replied and turned around to face me. "You look gorgeous!" she said when she saw me.
"As do you," I replied.
"Oh, look! They're starting to dance!"
I turned to the dance floor and saw the wedding couple dancing to a slow song.
I have to admit, it was kind of cute.
After the song ended, a somewhat more upbeat song started playing and other people started joining them.
"I have to find Blake!" Isla exclaimed, most probably wanting to dance with him.
"And I," I spoke to myself while walking past some people and smiling evilly. "Have to find Ryder."
After a few minutes of searching, I found him standing next to the table with the champagne. He was about to reach for a glass but I grabbed his hand with mine before he could grab one.
"Hi, baby," I said and smiled at him.
"I'm not dancing."
I groaned in annoyance. "Come on! For me? Please?" I begged.
"Ugh, fine. One dance."
"Yay!" I exclaimed and pulled him towards the dance floor.
"Have you noticed how lately I've been giving into you way to easily?" he asked me.
"I have. And I'm not complaining I think it's great."
Once we stood on the dance floor, I put my arms around Ryder's neck and he put his arms around my waist. Since a slow song had started playing, we slowly danced to the music.
"You know you look beautiful today," Ryder spoke.
"Thank you," I smiled. "You look very handsome as well."
He smiled at me in return and we kept on moving to the song.
"Who knows, maybe we'll be attending our own wedding in a couple of years," he said.
I chuckled. "Maybe."
"That's why I have this." He let go of me and reached one hand into his pocket. He took out a small package and handed it to me. "Open it."
"Ryder..."
"Just open it."
I took the small package out of his hands and opened it. Inside was a sleek, silver ring with a small jewel on top.
Oh my god. Was he proposing?! Already? I'm not prepared to marry someone! I don't even know if I want white or beige curtains when I move into a house! Much less know how to spend the rest of my life with someone!
Sure....if I had to spend my life with someone I would pick Ryder, but I don't know if I'm ready just yet!
"Ryder....I....," I tried to speak.
"It's a promise ring," he reassured me. "That one day, I'll give you a real one. Even through all the stupid and dumb things I'll probably do, there will never be a day that I won't think about you or love you. So, I want you to have this," he slid the ring onto my finger, "So that whenever you look at it, you'll remember the promise I made you."
I watched him and listen to his words that were completely filled with love and admiration.
"Thank you," I whispered, barely being able to speak.
Tears were beginning to pool in my eyes.
"I love it," I said and hugged Ryder tightly to me.
I pulled back to look at him and slowly, his lips descended onto mine.
The feeling of his warm lips against mine was incredible. I just realised exactly how much I love him and how much I want to spend my life with him for as long as possible.
We pulled away and just gazed into each other's eyes.
"I love you," I said to him.
"I love you too."

[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] Inspired heavily by The Wandering Inn and Beware of the Chicken, as well as cultivation novels in general, this story hopes to take a Westernish approach to the standard Cultivation approach, being more subtle and changing how it approaches the standard tropes of the genre, without abandoning them entirely.
