《Pranking The Bad Boy》Chapter 29.

I got woken up by the sunlight shining through my window and onto my face.
Sleepily, I stretched and opened my eyes while turning onto my side. Then, I noticed that someone was sitting at my desk and reading a book.
"What the...Ryder?" I said when I looked more closely at who was in my room.
He looked up from the book and put it on my desk. He then looked at me and gave me a smile. "Morning, baby."
"What are you doing here and how did you get in here?" I asked him while sitting up.
He shrugged and took a sip out of the coffee cup that was standing on my desk. "Your window was open," he explained.
"So you climbed through my window? And what's that?" I asked and nodded my head at his cup.
"Yeah, pretty much. And coffee."
"Can I have some?" I asked and gave him my best puppy dog face.
"No, this is mine."
I rolled my eyes and lied back down. "Then what's the use of you even being here if you didn't bring me anything? By the way, why are you here? Shouldn't you be in school?"
Ryder shrugged and set the cup down. "Didn't feel like going." He walked over to my bed and jumped over me so that he could lay down on the side that I wasn't occupying. He reached out to pull me closer but I quickly got out of bed and sat down at my desk, grabbing his coffee and taking a sip.
He rolled his eyes but had a small smile on his face.
"I'm lonely over here," he called when it seems like I didn't plan on moving anytime soon.
"There's a pillow right there that you can cuddle," I told him and pointed to where it was laying on the bed.
"You know, most people would be dying to cuddle with me if I were to visit them and lay in their bed even though I have school."
I rolled my eyes. "Stop acting like a baby."
Ryder pouted. "You're never nice to me. I don't feel loved at all."
"You're being over dramatic," I said and stood up.
Ryder looked expectantly at me, waiting for me to lay down with him but instead I walked into my closet.
"If you don't treat me better I might go see what Dylan's up to. I bet he's the nicer Andrews."
"Go right ahead! You'll be crawling back to me before you know it!" I shouted from my closet.
I decided on some gym shorts and a loose t-shirt since I wasn't going anywhere today anyway. I walked back outside to saw Ryder still laying on my bed with his eyes closed.

I jumped onto my bed and landed on my stomach.
Ryder opened his eyes, looking for the cause of the impact on the bed.
"Finally decided to join me?" he asked. "They always do come back. Can't go even ten minutes with out me."
I rolled my eyes. "Okay, you just lost your chance. Bye."
I moved to get out of bed but Ryder grabbed my waist and pulled me closer to him.
I turned myself around so that I was laying on my side and facing him. "You're really clingy," I told him.
"I know," he said and smiled before pecking my nose.
He snuggled his head in the crook of my neck and lied still. I reached up my hand and started to run my fingers through his soft hair.
He hummed in pleasure and kissed me under my jaw before laying still again.
Then, I felt my stomach grumble so I patted his head and tried to sit up. "As fun as this is, I'm hungry."
Ryder groaned but let me go so that I could get up.
"Come on," I said and pulled at his hand.
He got up and walked out of my room.
Not feeling like walking, I jumped on his back and he staggered a bit but regained his balance.
"What are you? Four?" he asked me but carried me down the stairs.
"Piggy back rides are an acceptable way of transportation for any age," I said.
"Yeah, okay."
We, well..he walked into the kitchen and set me down on the kitchen island.
"What do you want to eat?" he asked me and turned around to face me.
"What time is it?"
"Almost 12pm."
"Then pizza!"
Ryder pulled a face when I said what I wanted to eat. "You literally just woke up and you already want pizza?"
"What's wrong with pizza? It's always a good time for pizza," I said.
Ryder rolled his eyes and I grabbed the house phone to order some pizza.

Ryder yawned and I placed my hand over his mouth.
"Use your manners and cover your mouth when you yawn," I said and directed my attention back to the magazine laying above Ryder's head.
He was laying on the couch on his back and I was laying on top of him. I had put a magazine on the armrest above Ryder's head to have something to occupy me while I was waiting for the food to get here.
Ryder was almost falling asleep. I'm pretty sure he would already be asleep if it weren't for my constant comments about something in the magazine. Whether it be about a celebrity's horrible fashion choice or some drama that seemed awfully fake.

"Why are you so tired?" I asked him and flipped the page.
He yawned again before answering, keeping his eyes closed. "I didn't get much sleep last night."
"Why?"
"Because my parents were fighting rather loudly and I couldn't fall asleep. Then at like 2 in the morning my ears couldn't take any more of the noise so I went out for drive."
"When did you get back home?"
"Between 4 or 5 am I think."
I looked away from the magazine and at his face. "And when did you get up today?"
"Like around 6 or 7."
I rolled my eyes. "You know it's not healthy to sleep that little."
"Then let's just sleep now," he suggested and yawned once more.
"Heck no. I've already missed one pizza because of you and it's not happening again."
Ryder opened his eyes and gave me a questioning look. "What?"
"Remember when you came over to my house on the day that it was storming and you stayed over?"
Ryder nodded and I continued.
"Before you came, I ordered a pizza and then completely forgot about it because I was so tied up with you. So technically it's your fault that I didn't get any pizza."
He rolled his eyes.
"I don't think you understand how serious this is! I could have starved to death because I didn't get anything to eat."
"Well it looks like you survived just fine," he said before closing his eyes again.
I rolled my eyes and flipped to the next page in my magazine.
A few minutes later, I heard the doorbell ring.
"Yes, pizza!" I cheered and quickly got off of Ryder to open the door.
I paid for the pizza and walked back into the living room where Ryder was still laying on the couch. I crumbled the napkin the delivery boy had given me while handing me back my change and threw it at the end of the coffee table.
Ryder sat up and looked at the napkin. "What's that?"
I shrugged and bit into a piece of pizza. I hadn't looked at what was on it but I had a pretty good guess of what it could be.
Ryder grabbed the napkin and uncrumbled it so that he could read it.
I watched him as his eyes scanned over the piece of paper. Then, he tore the napkin into pieces and walked to the kitchen. I heard the trash can opening and closing before Ryder walked back into the living room and settled back on the couch.
"I'm guessing there was a phone number on the napkin," I said and took another bite.
Ryder nodded his head. "Yup." He also grabbed a piece of pizza and leaned back.
"Hey! You said that it wasn't the right time for pizza," I reminded him.
"No, I said it's not the right time for pizza for you because you had just woken up. But for me, because I've been awake longer, it's a very good time."
I rolled my eyes.
I did not get how the mind of this boy works.
________________________
I was currently flipping through another magazine while Ryder slept peacefully on the couch.
After finishing the pizza Ryder fell asleep straight away. So I've been sitting here for the past two and a half hours, either reading a magazine or taking pictures of Ryder with his phone.
My parents had turned off the wifi and I didn't want to use Ryder's credit up so I just used apps that didn't require any internet connection.
Suddenly, I heard the front door open and a voice calling my name.
"Kennedy, I'm home. I got off of work early today," I heard my dad call.
My eyes widened in horror.
If he found out that Ryder was here he would flip out and I'd get grounded even longer.
I woke up Ryder who yawned rather loudly so I covered his mouth with my hand to muffle the sound. He gave me a questioning look and I put a finger to my lips, telling him to keep quiet.
"My dad is home early. If he sees you he's going to kill both of us."
He sat up, trying to look for himself but I pushed him back down just incase my dad was walking past us.
"Follow me. Quickly," I whispered and stood up.
He also got up and together we sneaked up the stairs.
"Kennedy? Where are you?" my dad asked.
"I'm just going to the bathroom! I'll be down in a minute!" I called and quickly pushed Ryder up the rest of the stairs and into my room.
I shut the door and let out a huge sigh of relief.
"That was way to close," I said and walked over to where Ryder was standing.
"I think I better go," he chuckled.
He pulled me to him and gave me a lingering kiss before walking over to my window. He climbed out and onto the tree that was next to my window.
"See you tomorrow," I said.
He looked at me and smiled.
"See you tomorrow, darling."
Nooooo!
Thank you all so much for all the love and support you have given me. I really appreciate every single bit of it.

Eight
His name is Eight. Not really, but that’s what the System decided after a slip of the tongue. One moment, he was stepping out the office door on the way home, and the next waking up on a hillside below a town wall. Oh, and the gate guard drove him off, because he thought Eight was a monster. Life’s tough when you’re trapped in an eight-year old body on another world. The first book focuses on Eight's survival on a dangerous new world. If you're a fan of Gary Paulsen's Hatchet, you'll enjoy it. The story is one of discovery, bushcraft, and finding one's way. Note that, while this is very much LitRPG, progression is slow, and Eight spends much of the first book alone. The second book recounts what happens when Eight and friends head east to the village of Voorhei. Expect a blend of fantasy adventure, ghost story, cozy mystery, and family drama. Books one and two make a complete story, while book 3 has just gotten underway.
