《Pranking The Bad Boy》Chapter 16.

I was about to plead for forgiveness when I saw Ryder standing in front of me but remembered why I did what I did.
So I matched his pose and kept a blank face.
"Hello, Ryder. Nice face," I said and smirked at him.
This got him even more mad and he took a step forward. "Listen here," he began and pointed at me with his index finger. "You are new here. I've been here since day one. You do not get to come along and make a fool out of me just for your own amusement," he warned.
"Oh really?" I challenged and also took a step forward. "Because it looks like that's exactly what I'm doing."
"And that's why you're gonna stop," he said and took another step forward.
"And who's going to stop me? You? Unlikely," I said and took one more step forward. We were only very few inches apart. I could feel his warm breath fan over my face.
"You're absolutely right. It will be me," he said in a low voice.
My heart was beating rapidly in my chest due to the closeness but I couldn't let it show that I was just a tiny bit flustered.
"I don't believe you. I'm not scared of you and you have nothing to hold over my head," I said and matched his low tone.
"Well then I guess it's good that you have a certain ...attraction... to me," he told me and smirked. "I will be using that to my advantage." He leaned closer to so that our faces almost touched but not quiet yet.
"Well, guess what, I could say the same thing" I whispered. I grabbed a fist full of his shirt and pulled him against me. Our bodies were tightly pressed against each other and I had to use all of my self control not to close the distance between us. "And trust me. I will definitely be using it." We looked deeply into each other's eyes before I let go of his shirt and used his moment of confusion to escape.
I ran down the hall and back down the stairs to see coach and the whole team in the lobby getting their rooms assigned. I got my jacket and backpack from where I had left them and walked over to the group.
"Oh, Kennedy! There you are!" coach said and walked over to me. "Remember how I said I won't treat you any differently because you're a girl?" he asked me.
I nod at him.
"So that's why you'll be rooming with someone just like the rest of the guys."
"That's totally fine." I honestly didn't mind. I lived with two brothers. It wouldn't really bother me to share a room with someone.
He handed me two sets of keys. "Give one of those to Ryder," he told me.
I didn't think I heard him correctly. "Ryder?"
"Yes. You'll be sharing the room with him," is all he said before walking off.

I stared at him disbelief. Did he really expect me to be able to share a room with Ryder? That was like one if the worst ideas possible. There was no way this was going to end good.
I turned around and saw Ryder coming from the staircase. He had managed to successfully get of all the sharpie.
Stupid idiot.
I let out a deep breath and threw the keys at him. Sadly, he responded immediately and caught them before they could either fall to the floor or hit him.
"My room?" he asked me and I nodded in return.
"With who?"
"You'll see," I responded and walked outside to get my bag from the bus.
____________________
20 minutes later and I was sitting in my, excuse me, Ryder and my room. And guess what? There was only one bed. There wasn't even a couch or anything!
Although I didn't really mind it that much. Like I've said before, I kind of miss having Ryder hold me or kiss me.
I took out my phone and decided to text Isla. I lay down on the bed and held my phone in front of my face.
'Hi! How was the bus ride? Are you there yet? Anything interesting happen??'
I responded, answering each of her questions.
I saw the dots, meaning that she was typing and waited for her to finish. All of a sudden the door opened and closed loudly, scaring me and making me drop my phone on my face.
"Ow," I groaned and rubbed my nose.
I looked over and saw Ryder setting down his bag next to mine.
"Hello, roomie," he greeted without any enthusiasm.
"Sup," I said and went back to my conversation with Isla.
I started to laugh at the thought. I really wish I would have see that. It would have been priceless.
I felt the bed dip next to me and I saw Ryder laying down on his back beside me and texting on his phone. I ignored him and went back to texting Isla.
I shut off my phone and threw it on the bed. I turned on my side so that I was facing Ryder and propped my head up on my elbow.
"What?" he asked me without looking up from his phone.
I stayed silent and just studied him. I had slowly forgotten how green his eyes were and how soft his hair looked. The way he had high cheekbones and very soft lips.
Ryder turned his head to me and raised an eyebrow. "Can I help you with anything?"
"Nope," I said and jumped off the bed. I grabbed my phone and walked towards the door, wanting to get some air and maybe call my mom or Dylan.
But as soon as I got to the door it slams open, almost hitting me in the face.
I stood there with wide eyes. "You almost hit me!" I complained to Blake who was standing in the doorway.
"That's great, dolly," he said dismissively. "Coach said that everyone is suppose to go to the lobby. He wants to tell us something."

"Alright then," Ryder said and got up. He walked out the door and Blake followed him. "Don't forget the keys!" Ryder called over his shoulder.
I glared at his back before going back into the room to get my keys and my wallet just incase.
"I'm taking my key but I don't know what's gonna happen with yours," I muttered to myself and grabbed my keys. I purposely left his behind and then walked down to the lobby.
Everyone was already there when I arrived and were talking amongst each other. It looked kind of funny to see all of these good looking guys in one place. If anyone were to walk in high now I'm pretty sure they'd faint.
I walked over to where the guys were standing.
Coach cleared his throat. "Okay, now that's you're all here I'm sure you'll all be happy when I say what I'm going to say. Since I'm a nice coach and everyone's favourite I decided that you have the rest of the night off and can go into the city if you want."
We started cheering at the news.
"Until 11pm. I want everyone back by then because tomorrow will be meeting here at 9am. By then you should have eaten breakfast because we'll be practising before the game."
We all agreed and started making plans about what we were gonna do.
"Oh! And one more thing," coach said. "If anyone, and I mean anyone, comes to practise drunk tomorrow, I will personally whoop your ass. Have a nice evening then!"
Some people walked back to their rooms to get whatever they need and some already walked out of the lobby to probably find something to eat.
Ryder walked over to me and held out his hand. "Can you give me the keys? I need to get my phone from the room."
I pretended to think and tapped my finger against my chin. "Let me see...nope!"
"Kennedy," he growled. "Give me the damn keys."
"I don't think so. Everyone's responsible for their own keys. So it's your fault that you didn't bring yours," I said and smiled sweetly at him. "So I guess you'll have to stay here and wait till I come back to unlock the door."
I turned around and started walking out the door. Swinging my ponytail from side to side.
I heard footsteps get closer to me and I turned around to see Ryder catching up to me.
"I already told you. I'm not giving you the keys," I told him and kept walking.
"I know. But instead of waiting for you to come back all night I decided I'd just tag along," he said and stuffed his hands in the pockets of his jeans.
I stopped walking and looked at him to see him smiling, pleased at himself.
I apparently did not think this through. At all.
"Umm, no you're not," I told him but he didn't seem like he was going to change his mind anytime soon.
"Sorry, looks like you're stuck with me," he said. "Unless...you give me the keys."
I shook my head. "Nope. Not happening."
"Well then you really are stuck with me."
I huffed and shot him a dirty look before starting to walk again. "Where should we eat?" I asked him and walked down the street.
"There's a subway a couple minutes that way," he answered and pointed down the street.
"Okay. How do you know that?"
He shrugged. "I've been here before."
We walked down the street in silence. Cars were passing us and the sun was slowly starting to set. Thankfully it was still warm so I didn't need my jacket.
Once we arrived at subway and walked through the door I saw four of the guys in here. Two of the guys were Blake and Connor.
"And we meet again!" Connor exclaimed when he noticed us. He walked over to us and gave me a hug.
"Yeah, hi," I exclaimed and hugged him back shortly. I went to stand in the line behind Ryder. After we had ordered and paid, the six of us went outside and walked down the street. After about 5 minutes of walking we ran into three more guys.
And now, the nine of us were currently sitting in a playground at the park. I was swinging slightly on the swings next to another guy whose name was Mike.
"Sooo...what should we do?" I asked everyone.
They all shrugged and muttered that they have no idea.
"We could get some ice cream?" one suggested.
"No, I'm full and don't feel like eating ice cream," another one said and shut down the idea.
"What if we find the rest of the guys?" Mike said.
"No. Who knows where they are. And besides, I wanna so something fun," one of the guys said.
"I know!" one exclaimed and jumped up. "Why don't we go to a club?"
"Because, idiot," Ryder started saying. "We're underage and I don't think we all have fake ID's," he finished and looked at me.
I scoffed and raised an eyebrow at him. "What's that suppose to mean? You think I don't have a fake ID?"
"Yes, I don't think you have a fake ID," he answered and shrugged.
"Well, guess again," I said and stopped swinging.
"Wait..so everyone has a fake ID?" a guy asked.
We all nodded.
"Then let's fucking go!" he excitedly yelled.
"But coach said not to get drunk," I reminded them.
"So what? We know how to pace ourselves and drink responsibly. What's stopping us?"
I let out a sigh. "Fine, let's do it."
"Yes!" a few of them cheered and we all got up to look for a club.
Let's fucking do this.

Displacement
or, Deux Navires Passant dans la Nuit If you wake up in a new world, with only your memories of home to guide you, you have to trust the first people you meet. The first people Leah meets seem to know her - but not her. Leah is thrust into a fighter's role that does not quite suit her, and those who 'rescued' her do their best to help her fit in. They hint at a world that Leah can only vaguely understand without serious research and exploration, but how to do that research, when everyone believes her to be a local of this place, and too many questions might draw unwanted attention? And what about home? The more Leah learns about this world, the less she believes that she woke up on the right side of the bed - or more accurately, on the right side of the conflict. With magic being strictly regulated in her current "home," maybe it's time to uproot and look for a new set of allies... -- Displacement is a queer / lgbt bodyswap isekai: Leah Armande falls out of a Quebecois city into an unfamiliar fantasy world, and Leah Talesh falls out of her adventuring party's homeland and into an unfamiliar industrial world. The story follows both women as they navigate their new surroundings, trying at times to find a way home, at times just to pass for a local, and at times to actually make a life for themselves in their new world. Expect in-depth politics and worldbuilding, sapphic moments, foibles, and far too much time spent either in libraries or convalescing (or sometimes both).
