《BadBoy Tutor》Chapter Twenty-Nine

Sarah looked absolutely beautiful in her stunning white traditional dress. My dad looked overwhelmed as he walked his little sister down the aisle to Tony, the man she was marrying. I think they had been dating for about 3 years and he proposed about a year ago. To be honest, I feel sorry for the man having Kelsey as a now step daughter.
No one deserved that.
Well I could think of a few people who deserved that but Tony was a very nice guy and the two looked very happy together.
"Here." Jack returned with two beers as he handed one to me and began drinking his own.
"Thanks." I said gracefully as I took a large gulp and held the bottle firmly in my hand. We were leaned against the wall just chatting with each other and as Jack was 22 he was able to get us drinks.
This is the time I wished I lived in Europe as I would be a legal age to drink.
I glanced over to where Reece was standing with Elliot and Jacks girlfriend, smiling with each other and drinking. Reece had driven here but decided we'd just go back with dad and come back to pick up his car. It was an hour's drive but dad was more than happy to drop him back here tomorrow so Reece could enjoy a drink with the rest of us.
"I see the way you look at him." Jack's comment snapped me out of my thoughts as I turned back to him.
"I-"
Jack silenced me. "I'm not gonna wind you up Sam, I think he's a good guy."
I sighed, looking down at the floor. "Well he doesn't like me back so it doesn't matter anyway."
I had grown up with Jack along with Belle so he was basically a brother to me so I didn't mind telling him. How obvious did I seem to make it anyway? There was no point denying it anymore.
I liked Reece Parker.
Jack raised his eyebrows as he took another gulp. "He said that?"
I shook my head. "No of course not. I haven't said anything and I'm not going to. It's only a small crush plus I don't even want a relationship."
Jack's teeth clenched. "What because of that dick face Adam?"
I shook my head with a chuckle at his hatred for my ex-boyfriend. I shrugged. "With graduating in a few months and then going off to college what's the point?"
"What if its someone you love?"
I sighed, taking another sip. "I guess that's different but that's not the case."
He raised a brow. "It isn't?"
I stared at him for a moment as he awaited my answer. I'd only known Reece for about 3 months but they felt like the best 3 months of my life.
I shook my head slowly. "No it isn't."
Jack nodded, not really looking convinced but didn't comment on it. "How's the tutoring going?"
I smiled at the thought of it. "Good actually, I think I'm actually getting better at maths."
He laughed lightly. "God I don't miss that shitty subject."
Sometimes I forget he's a senior in college. Our conversation got interrupted when Marry you by Bruno Mars began to play over the large speakers and couples began gravitating towards the dance floor. I watched as Elliot grabbed Belle's hand and Jack turned to me. "I guess Holly will kill me if I don't ask her to dance." I nodded and stood still as he walked over to her.

I sighed, about to sit down and watch all the couples before someone grabbed my hand. "Can I have this dance Sammy?"
My eyes slightly widened and I was shocked but nodded anyway and followed him to the dance floor. The song began as Reece took a hold of my hands. "It's a beautiful night, we're looking for something dumb to do."
Reece spun me around slightly and I muffled a gulp when his large hands rested on my waist gently.
"Hey baby, I think I wanna marry you."
I smiled lightly and wrapped my arms around his neck which was a bit difficult as he was quite a bit taller than me.
"Is it the look in your eyes, or is it this dancing juice? Who cares baby, I think I wanna marry you."
We stared into each other eyes as the song carried on, just softly swaying to the music. "Thanks for coming with me today." I thanked him and giggled as he spun me around as the music piped up. I crashed back into his chest as he pulled me back in.
"I don't think were as good as the others." Reece mused as we took a glance at all the other couples in time with each other. Apart from Belle and Elliot, who by the looks of their faces were constantly stepping on each other's feet.
Chuckling at them, I turned back to Reece but he was staring down at me. I bit back a gulp under his stare.
The song was beginning to come to an end as it slowed down.
"Oh it's a beautiful night, were looking for something dumb to do. Hey baby, I think I wanna marry you."
Our eyes didn't leave each other's and our bodies were so close together. My heart was racing as the distance between us was slowly becoming smaller. I'm not too sure who moved first but before I knew it our heads were gravitating closer toward each other.
"Is it the look in your eyes, or is it this dancing juice. Who cares baby, I think I wanna marry you."
Just as the song ended, my lips were right in front of his, with about half a millimetre apart.
Oh my fucking god, any slight movement and they would be touching. But as life never works that way, an annoying voice completely snapped us out of it and we both jumped away from each other in fright. Reece's face was almost blank and mine was fighting back the look of shock.
If we hadn't been interrupted, would we have kissed?
I turned to the voice who was glaring at me. "Your dad wants to see you, he's outside." Kelsey nodded towards the exit doors as I looked at her with confusion and then at Reece who wasn't looking at me, instead he was staring at the wall.
"Ok." I replied quietly and walked outside.
My heart hadn't stopped racing and I was in complete shock from what just happened. I wiped my clammy hands down my dress and glanced around for my dad who was nowhere to be seen.
"Fuck sake Kelsey." I muttered and walked to the bench which was around the corner. I pulled my phone out from my bag and smiled peacefully at the fresh air before dialling the number of my best friend.

"Bonjour Samantha." Jodie piped on the other line and I chuckled at her enthusiasm.
"Hey Jodie."
"How's it going? Drunk on free drinks yet?" She questioned and I bit back a smile.
"No which I don't know why, Gotta take advantage of free shit."
"Agreed. Now not to be rude but why are you calling me in the middle of a wedding and not talking to that sexy date of yours."
I groaned into the phone and I could picture Jodie's head snapping up. "Did something happen?"
I huffed. "It's no big deal."
She chuckled. "Everything's a big deal when it comes to you two, tell me."
I looked up at the sky and then back down at the ground. "We nearly kissed."
"WHAT?" She exclaimed and I held the phone away from my ear for a moment before bringing it back, big mistake.
"COLE GET YOUR ASS DOWN HERE!" Jodie yelled at the top of her lunges and I rolled my eyes. I didn't care about her telling Cole as we were all equally best friends but it's more of a thing you'd tell your girl best friend rather than your boy best friend.
"Fuck sake why are you so loud?" Cole murmured on the other end and I chuckled at the memory of Reece saying the same thing to Jake over the phone.
"Who you talking to?" He added.
"They nearly kissed." She answered him straight away.
"HOLY SHIT!" Cole screamed and I rolled my eyes at how fucking annoying my two best friends were.
I could hear them fighting over the phone as they both demanded that they held it. "Why don't you put in on speaker?" I stated dryly and they both chuckled.
"Oh yeah." Cole said dumbly. "Ok Sam you're on speaker."
"What happened? How did it happen? Why did it happen? Tell me everything." Jodie questioned.
"We didn't actually kiss." I replied dryly and I knew she'd be rolling her green eyes.
"A near kiss Is just as important. It's all about the build-up." Jodie explained.
"Build up to what? They didn't kiss." Cole replied and Jodie huffed.
"Build up to the first kiss you idiot."
I rolled my eyes and huffed. "But-"
I was interrupted by Cole. "There was no build up with us."
"Yeah because we were both shit faced drunk and you just kissed me." Jodie replied.
Cole laughed and I pictured him wiggling his eyebrows at her. "We did more than just that."
I squeezed my eyes shut before mentally gagging. "Eww I don't want to hear about that."
"Sorry." They both replied at the same time.
"Go on." Cole said.
"I was saying there won't be a first kiss."
Cole replied first. "Huh?"
"What do you mean?" Jodie asked.
"We were just in the heat of the moment, we were dancing and I don't even know. It won't happen again."
They were both silent for a few seconds before laughter erupted. I narrowed my eyes at the space in front of me, pretending it was them I was glaring at. "That's the most bullshit thing I've heard all day and I've been with this one." Cole replied with a chuckle.
Whack.
Cole winced. "Come on Sam." Jodie chuckled quietly. "Me and you both know that's not true."
"But-"
"Sam what are you doing out here?" I turned to see Elliot with a cigarette in his hand. Reece was next to him with one as he looked everywhere but me.
"Guys I Gotta go." I said and they both said bye before I shut off my phone and slid it back into my bag.
"Jodie rang me." I lied as I watched Elliot light his cigarette before passing the lighter to Reece. Reece lit his and took a long drag as he stared at the field behind me.
I ignored him, turning back to Elliot. He nodded, taking a seat next to me. "Want a drag?" He offered and I shrugged, taking it off him.
Reece snapped his head around but didn't say anything as he continued to smoke. He got out his phone and was typing away, no longer looking at us. Elliot gave me a questioning glance and I just shook my head, taking a puff.
I coughed a little bit and took another one. This wasn't my first time smoking but it still made me cough.
Elliot laughed at me as I handed it back and he laid his head back, finishing it off. "Where's Belle?" I asked.
"Getting drunk." He smiled softly at the sound of her name.
"Aww." I teased, pushing his shoulder. "You totally love her don't you?" I grinned and he rolled his eyes and chuckled.
I looked up and Reece had walked away. "What's his problem?" Elliot questioned, nodding to the back of his friend who was walking back into the venue.
I shrugged. "No clue." I lied.
He sighed and threw the cigarette on the floor, stubbing it out with his foot. "We should probably go back in." I nodded, walking side by side as we walked back to the building. I took a deep breath as I walked over to Reece who was in the corner talking to Jack. They were laughing about something but it stopped when I got there.
Jack looked confused as I turned to Reece. "Can I talk to you?"
He looked hesitant and Jack stared at us with a confused expression before smirking. "Catch you later." He smiled and walked off.
Reece looked down at me with a blank face. "What's your problem?" I asked, staring up at him and refusing to look away from his stare.
He narrowed his eyes. "I don't have a problem."
I rolled mine. "You won't even look at me."
His facial expression didn't change. "I'm looking at you now." He replied dryly.
I huffed. "Fine, whatever." I turned around to walk away but he grabbed my arm, stopping me.
His face when from blank to apologetic. "Look I'm sorry, can we start again?"
I smiled and nodded, grabbing his arm to go get some drinks from the bar.
