《BadBoy Tutor》Chapter Thirteen

"What about this?" Jodie turned with a large smile as she held out a black dress. I shrugged, grabbing it and trying it on. I didn't even care that Cole and Jodie were in the room as I stripped from my jeans and jumper and shimmied into the dress. We've all seen each other naked so them seeing me in my underwear didn't really faze me.
Jodie beamed. "Oh my god you look hot!" I smiled at her and then turned to look in the mirror. It was a pretty simple black dress that was off the shoulder and ended mid-thigh. There was a gap in the middle that showed my cleavage. I had fairly large boobs but nowhere near as big as some of the girls at our school.
I turned back to her with a grin etched on my face. "I do, don't I?" I teased and she chuckled, turning around to Cole who looked pretty bored, lying on my bed watching the walking dead that was playing on my laptop.
"Cole!" Jodie yelled and his head instantly snapped around.
Is he whipped or what?
"Doesn't she look hot?"
Cole's eyes scanned my dress as his lips twitched. "Who knew you were a girl." He teased and before i could tackle him, Jodie yanked me back.
"No fighting!" She scolded like a mother. "We don't want to ruin your dress." I looked at her outfit and smiled softly. She was wearing a dark green, strapless dress that really brought out her eyes and olive skinned tone. When she turned up to my house an hour ago, I told her how fucking hot she looked because she did and Cole would be a very lucky guy.
An hour later my hair was curled and my makeup was done. I wore a simple Smokey eye with some eyeliner and mascara. I didn't bother with foundation as I would just sweat it off anyway but I did use some concealer to cover my under eye circles. "Were done!" Jodie clapped and Cole jumped up from my bed and threw his arm around us, guiding us towards the door. "Fucking finally. Sometimes I wish my best friends weren't girls. You take fucking ages to get ready." He joked and winced when he earned a whack on the head from both of us. Me and Jodie grinned at each other and high fived like children, causing us to both burst out laughing.
"Let's just go." Cole complained, stirring us down the stairs and we all stopped when my dad stood there.
He smiled softly at the three of us with a coffee mug in his hand. "You guys look nice, where you off to?" He questioned, taking a sip of his drink.
Luckily, my dad was very chill to say he was a lawyer. As long as I let him know that I was ok, he didn't really care. As I was 18, I didn't have a curfew and could pretty much come back whenever I wanted. Not that I ever came back that late anyway.
"Jake's house." Jodie answered him.
His eyes lit up in recognition at the towns prankster. Oh my god, my dad literally knew everyone. "Ah. You kids be careful. Don't get too drunk." He winked at Cole and he threw his head back with laughter in response. Cole was known for getting extremely drunk at parties where me and Jodie would usually have to help him home.
If he didn't go home with someone else.

Shaking my head at the thought, I said goodbye to dad and jogged to Cole's car. Cole lived down Jake's street so we were just going to park at Cole's house as then we wouldn't need a designated driver. We sang old songs the whole journey and we were soon standing outside Jake's mansion. I turned to Jodie. "Why is everyone so rich?" I whispered as we stared up at his house in disbelief.
"I know." She whispered back, her green eyes wide.
Me and Jodie were the only ones that didn't live in this neighbourhood where Cole, Reece and Jake lived. Jodie lived with her parents and two younger twin brothers a couple roads away from me and Cole lived here with his mum and older sister. I could hear music already blaring out from the house as we approached the door. Many people lingered on the front lawn smoking in groups and laughing with each other's. It was only 10pm yet bottles were already scattered around. We entered the house and I noticed it was similar to Reece's.
Some song I didn't recognise blasted the speakers as the three of us instantly made our way to the kitchen. "S-Sam!" Jake slurred as he saw us approach and pulled me into a bone crushing hug. He spun me around to a couple guys he was talking to. They watched us with amusement as he hugged me. "This is my friend Sam!" He told them and they smiled warmly at me. I didn't recognize them so I assumed they went to the school in the town over.
One boy with short light brown hair and hazel eyes stepped out with a wide smile. "Hi I'm Elliot." I smiled back as Jake introduces Jodie and Cole to them too. The other boy grinned at me, sending me a friendly wink. He had a dark skin tone and had much darker and slightly longer hair than Elliot and dark brown eyes. "I'm Will."
I grinned back at them. "Nice to meet you both."
Jake looked down at me. "They're mine and Reece's friends. They go to Westland." He told me and I was right, they did go to the school a town over.
"Oh do you know Belle?" I pondered and Will smirked at Elliot.
Will pointed his thumb to Elliot. "He certainly does." He replied wiggling his eyebrows as Elliot smirked at me.
"Dude that's my cousin." I deadpanned and Will burst out laughing whereas Elliot grimaced.
"Oh uh-" I laughed at his awkwardness and patted him on the shoulder.
"Don't sweat it."
Will grinned at the three of us. "Can I get you guys a drink?" We all nodded and I turned to Jodie with a knowing look, which she returned.
These boys were hot as fuck.
Something in the back of my mind pissed me off. 'Nowhere near as hot as Reece though are they?' I mentally slapped myself and turned around to the three trees. Why was everyone so damn tall? Jake had disappeared and I turned to see him dancing with some girl, more like grinding. Chuckling at him, I thanked Will when he handed us a cup and I turned to Elliot when Will started talking to Jodie and Cole.
I smirked. "So how do you know my cousin?"
He chuckled. "You're not gonna let that go are you?"
I shook my head with a grin. "Nope!"
He then smirked at me with amusement in his hazel eyes. "So I hear your pretty tight with my boy Reece."

My grin faltered and I sighed. "What has Jake said?"
He shook his head, laughing. "Nothing."
Will then appeared next to us with a three different bottles of alcohol. "Shots!"
Many shots later, I was extremely drunk. One-minute I was dancing with my friends and the next minute they were gone. I got sucked into the crowd of sweaty teenagers as I glanced around for them but couldn't see them anywhere. I looked around for any familiar face but soon got bored. Shrugging, I found a space on the make shift dance floor and began to dance. I was too drunk to care that I was dancing like a fool but I really couldn't give two shits'. After a couple songs, I was incredibly tired so I pushed my way past the swarming bodies in an attempt to get outside. Failing to walk straight, my right foot twisted and I found myself falling before a pair of arms wrapped around my waist, hoisting me up.
I was just about to thank the random stranger before I saw who it was. Looking extremely handsome was Reece, staring down at me with an unfamiliar expression on his face. We weren't in the main room anymore so it was a lot quieter in here but it was still pretty loud. His gaze was capitating and I couldn't seem to take my eyes off him as I stared up at him. The cough of a girl next to him averted my attention from his gorgeous eyes. I then noticed a girl next to him glaring daggers at me. I winked at her and she stormed off, huffing as she did so. Reece didn't even spare her a glance as he never took his eyes off me and then his eyes slowly travelled down to my outfit. I was still in his arms as he steadied me, only for me to fall to the side again. "How much did you have to drink?" He asked, amusement in his eyes.
"N-not that much!" I slurred and he nodded.
"Right." He drawled, wrapping an arm around me and pulling me into the kitchen. Settling me down on the counter, I watched as he walked over to the sink and poured a glass of water. I couldn't get over how sexy he looked, in a plain white t-shirt, black jeans and a black leather jacket. His curly brown hair was the same but just looked a little more messy than normal. He thrusted the cup into my hand and forced me to gulp it down. I flashed him a childish grin when I finished the cup.
He shook his head at me as he leaned on the counter in-front of me, looking up at me. It was the first time I had seen him all night. "I met your friends." I giggled and he raised his brows in my direction before realisation set. "They're rather handsome." I added, giggling to myself as his jaw clenched.
He smirked up at me. "But I'm better?"
My lips thinned. "You're ugly!" I said, ruffling his hair to which he grabbed my wrist. His hold on my wrist send tingles down my body. He pouted and pulled a sat face as he gently returned my fist to my lap.
"I'm joking!" I yelled, suddenly feeling guilty for calling him ugly. I didn't mean to make him sad. He stepped closer to me so my knees were practically on his chest. His face was only inches away from mine as he leaned closer to me. He smirked as he was only an inch away from my face and that means his lips were also only an inch away. I found myself looking at his plump lips before looking back up at him.
His green eyes sparkled as he watched my movement before he sighed, stepping back. "We better get you home."
"Wait, where's Codie and Jole?" I slurred once again as he watched me with amusement, letting out a soft chuckle.
"No clue but I'll tell them you're with me."
I smiled widely and jumped down from the counter, nearly falling as I did but luckily I balanced myself. I giggled once again as he wrapped an arm around my waist to steady me as we exited the house. The air was much colder than it was hours ago when we first arrived and I found myself shivering in the coldness.
"Here." He shrugged off his jacket and gently placed it over my shoulders. It instantly warmed me up as I inhaled it.
"It smells nice." I commented and his lips twitched as he walked me down the road to his car.
Suddenly, I came to a stop, feeling incredibly guilty. He turned to me with a frown. "You don't have to leave. I can just walk to Cole's" I said as he shook his head, pulling open the passenger door and gently pushing me in.
"I was getting bored anyway." He replied coolly as he pushed the key in the ignition.
"You haven't drunk?" I questioned with surprise and he shook his head. "Why?" I asked as he leaned over to do my seatbelt. He leaned back and started the car.
He shrugged. "Didn't feel like it." The car roared to life and we were soon speeding down the road. After a couple moments, a fantastic idea popped in my head.
"Reece?"
He spared me a quick glance. "Yeah?"
I gave him the puppy dog eyes as a smile formed on my face. "Can we please go to McDonalds?"
He sighed, spinning the car around as he drove the way to our local McDonalds. "Yay!" I clapped my hands, wiggling my butt in the seat and waving my arms around as I awaited my big mac.
"You're fucking weird Sammy."
I grinned at him. "You love it!"
He shook his head but I noticed the smile that formed on his face. "Shit!" I exclaimed as drove down the highway.
"What's wrong buttercup?" He asked softly, not taking his eye away from the road.
I frowned. "I forgot my card." I replied, fumbling around my small purse for any cash. Without taking his eyes off the road, his left hand reached over and closed the bag.
"Don't worry about it." He smiled as we pulled up to the drive through. Surprisingly, there was a fair few cars in front of us for 2am so he pulled the car to a stop.
"Jodie always says get yourself a man who buys you food." I laughed to myself.
He smirked as he moved the car slowly forward. "Oh so I'm your man am I?"
"Eww."
"Me and you both know you want it buttercup."
"I'd rather date Jake." I teased and he rolled his eyes but chuckled anyway as he pulled up to the window.
"Hello what can I get you guys?" A female voice said and the second she saw Reece; she gave him a flirty smile.
"Just 2 big mac meals please." He told her and she grinned. She was a beautiful girl, with long brown hair and such clear skin I was honestly amazed by it.
"Drinks?" She purred and Reece turned to me with an eyebrow raised.
"Chocolate milkshake!" I exclaimed, clapping my hands. My mouth practically watering at the thought of the food.
His eyes shone with amusement as he turned from me and back to the girl in the window. "2 Chocolate milkshakes please."
Her brown eyes twinkles as she smirked, writing something down and thrusted a piece of paper in his hand. Reece quickly paid the bill and I gave him a grateful smile. "Call me." She winked and I rolled my eyes as Reece pulled up to the next window. We waited at the next window for our food. Reece flicked the piece of paper out the window as he parked the car as we got told they would bring our food over.
Why would he throw away the number of a girl that beautiful?
"You seem to get a lot of attention." I said before I let out a fat yawn, leaning my head back into the headrest.
"Hmm."
"You look nice by the way." He complimented as he grabbed my phone from my lap and picked up my hand, placing my thumb on the home button of my iPhone. He quickly typed a message before placing it back down.
"You too."
I beamed so brightly when I saw a male employee walk over with our food. The second Reece handed me the bag, I dove in and began stuffing my face with fries. "Hey! You're eating mine too!" He blurted out as he snatched the bag away from me.
I looked up at him like a squirrel, my cheeks stuffed with fries. I quickly swallowed them as I attempted not to choke and then pouted, crossing my arms like a child that's just been told off as I waited for him to separate them. His eyes softened and he huffed. "Fine, have them." He retorted, handing me the bag back and I grinned.
"When did you become so nice?" I teased, poking his extremely hard chest.
He gasped. "I've always been nice."
"Right." I drawled, turning on the radio as we ate our food in silence, the only noise coming from the quiet car stereo.

Dungeon Core Chat Room.
This is a slower-paced "experiment and dungeon building" web novel that tries to use the idea of peer-to-peer communication with Dungeon Cores instead of Dungeon to slave monster communication to break up the detailed dungeon building. Rank 1 description: (minimum met for system initialization...detailed description as follows) Each race was given a system by the gods to make up for their shortcomings and balance their place in this world. Humans: Abysmally bad at understanding and using magic unable to use more than the lowest of magic were given the "Skill System" magic in the form of premade skills with use, study, and mastery tied to experience. Elves: Intuitively understand magic and have long lives leading to vast knowledge and skill in their chosen fields. However, as a species, they have nearly zero sex drive and less than low fertility, so they were gifted the "World Tree System" with experience gained through the care of natural areas – gifting the chance of children to increase their numbers without dirty copulation. All “natural” or “wild” monsters are given an "Evolution system" designed around killing and consuming as many creatures as possible, slowly increasing strength and, at thresholds, allowing mutations to alter them multiple times. Dungeon cores are different. Unlike humans, they can see, manipulate and live off mana. Unlike Elves, they naturally crystallize after extended periods of time in high mana level areas. However, they cannot easily move or communicate and typically go insane without companionship. As a species other than the odd eccentric they are unimaginative. Brute forcing solutions without the drive to truly innovate. Thus they have been gifted with the "Dungeon Connection System" a magical version of the internet accessible by their peers that allows them to barter and sell: bait, traps, monsters, and knowledge, as well as entertain each other with “adventure streams” using exciting recorded battles and humorous reels of arrogant chumps biting off more than they can chew to often fatal effects. This is the casual story of a dungeon unluckily spawned far from potential adventurers forced to innovate beyond its peers to find its place in this world. Rank 2 Description: Justification. I've been on a dungeon core kick for months and while I love the genre – it's sparse with entries. Often the forced conflict gets repetitive and frantic solving of threats "power levels" the protagonist to god levels to progress the plot – taking away the nice steady progression fantasy I'm looking for. (Progression in this story is linked to how strong of monsters/traps/whatever he can create not his "level"...this is demonstrated by some of his newer monsters beating his older monsters not with discrete "this monster has 10 attack this one has 40") Additionally, the focus on 3rd parties with their drama takes away from the reason I’m reading dungeon core novels in the first place – I'm looking for magical crafting, experimentation and kingdom building – not defence from higher and higher levelled enemies looking to steal/destroy/control the MC. This novel is kind of just me writing the story I wish I could read. I like thinking about the experimentation that can be done in fantasy settings using 'mana' as an excuse to make up rules and try to keep them internally consistent. IE once I define how a rule works, I'm going to commit to keeping it – no breaking hard truths I've given when it's convenient, even if it backs me into a corner. Hopefully, that should make the story interesting to read even if it's SOL and less action-oriented. There will be problems to solve and a clear progression in strength (of created monsters and knowledge) however due to not wanting to force conflict for the sake of conflict the general theme will be closer to slice of life with few action sequences and no overarching goal so please keep that in mind when picking this up as the genre is not for everyone. Finally, I have a clear goal of what I want from this story (not an endless romp but a series of arcs and then a conclusion that's a couple of dozen medium-sized chapters long) I want to commit to finishing it or at least bringing it to a point of rest. I hate all the engaging stories that stop with a “hiatus” indefinitely so in the event I lose motivation I'll work to end this even if the ending becomes rushed/unsatisfying just to give a sense of closure. I’m planning on including several polls in terms of direction and taking feedback heavily into account if I get enough readers (but may choose to ignore it if it deviates too far from the direction I want to take this as in feedback like: “The MC needs a cartoonishly evil arch-enemy that wants to enslave him and force the mc to pump out magic items” or “the MC needs to make a body and learn teleportation then live with humans” will get shot down without consideration.)

The New Buggy Pirates
As a fan of One Piece, I've never liked the way they handled Buggy. He's a great character and all, don't get me wrong, but he should be on the same level as Shanks. Instead, they turned him into the worthless character he is, and that never sat right with me. In this story, he becomes something more than just comic relief. AU.
