Hyeme has now started working seriously and was very disciplined which impressed Taehyun.

“Sir, shall I get the file which includes all the projects?”

Hyeme said snapping Taehyun out of his thoughts who was looking at Hyeme continuously.

“Let's hang out today.”

Taehyun spoke casually which Hyeme didn't react to and started walking out and she finally realized what Taehyun said.

“Huh?!”

She said as she turned around as if she was asking if she heard him right.

“Yeah, I mean you work really hard, so let's just hang out today.”

Taehyun said as smiled effortlessly which was shocking for Hyeme. She barely saw him smiling.

“A-are you sure sir?”

Hyeme asked him again confirming.

“You can call me Taehyun by the way, drop the 'sir'.”

Taehyun said as Hyeme smiled at him.

“So where do you want to go miss Hyeme?”

Taehyun asked, at first Hyeme hesitated but then she gathered all the courage and asked him.

“Sir, can we go see my daughter? She really wanted to go to the amusement park, we can go to the amusement park if you want to.”

Hyeme spoke to which Taehyun smiled at her and said, “Sure! I would love to see your daughter miss Hyeme!”

Hyeme smiled back at him and they were about to go and suddenly Taehyun again asked, “I didn't know that you were married, I mean you don't look like a married wom- I'm so sorry for saying that.”

Taehyun paused for a bit realising he has spoken too much. Hyeme smiled at Taehyun.

“Actually, I haven't seen my husband since I had an accident, I don't remember his face too, my brother told me that he wasn't good for me and he left me and his own daughter.”

Hyeme said getting a little emotional.

“I'm so sorry”

“You don't need to be, it's better for us that he left. And I'm living happily with my brother his girlfriend or soon to be wife and my daughter!”

Hyeme said cheerfully.

“I'd love to see your brother too!”

Taehyun exclaimed as both of them left the cabin and soon they heard someone bickering.

“I don't think it suits on such a pretty thing!”

“C'mon! Pineapple on pizza are just delicious!”

“I don't think so, pineapples are fruits and they don't belong to pizza!”

“Well, tomatoes are fruits too. If you don't know!”

“What the hell Yuna!?”

Hyeme exclaimed as she saw her best friend bickering with Kai over a literal pizza.

“Hyeme! Tell this piece of shit that pizzas are so much better without pineapple!”

Yuna sais as she stomped towards Hyeme.

“Taehyun! Say that pizzas are so much better with pineapples!”

Kai said as he went towards Taehyun.

“I mean, pineapples are kinda awful on pizzas.”

Taehyun muttered and Kai looked at him widened eyes.

“Look! Even boss agrees that pineapples don't belong on pizzas!”

Yuna stated proudly as she put her hands on her waist.

Kai started chasing her as Yuna started running while laughing.

Hyeme held Taehyun's hand and started walking away. Taehyun was looking at her shocked, she didn't leave his hand until they reached at the parking lot.

“Yuna can be really childish sometimes.”

Hyeme sighed as she looked around and she noticed Taehyun looking at her continuously.

“What?”

She asked and Taehyun looked at his hand in response. She looked at his hand and realised that she was still holding his hand. She quickly let go of his hand and looked away.

Meanwhile, Taehyun chuckled and he opened the door of the car for Hyeme. Hyeme sat on her seat and Taehyun sat on his and both of them left towards the kindergarten.

Hyeme got out of the car quicly and raced towards her daughter's class while Taehyun followed her.

As Hyeme entered the class she saw Ara crying, Ara ran towards Hyeme and hugged her. Hyeme hugged her and wiped her tears off and cupped her face and asked, “What happened Ara?”

“Mommy? Where is dad? I never saw him.”

Ara stated crying.

Hyeme knew, this day would come and she didn't have anything to say, she just hugged Ara with teary eyes.

“Dad is here Ara!”

Both Hyeme and Ara heard a voice, it was Taehyun.

Taehyun said as he sat down infront of Ara spreading his arms and Ara ran to him and hugged him.

“Where were you dad?”

Ara said as she cried. Hyeme was sitting there dumbfounded and didn't believe that Taehyun just called himself the father of her daughter.

“I was on an overseas business trip, sorry I didn't came to meet you. But I promise I won't leave my princess.”

Taehyun said comforting Ara.

Ara kissed him on his cheek which made Taehyun surprise but he just chuckled and caressed her cheeks.

“Let's go Ara! Mom and Dad came here to take you to the amusement park!”

Taehyun exclaimed as he picked up Ara. Hyeme was still trying to process what just happened.

“Let's go Hyeme!”

Taehyun said smiling.

Hyeme got up and followed him. She didn't spoke a word while Taehyun and Ara were busy talking.

Hyeme thought that she made the biggest mistake of her life.

All three of them sat inside the car and Hyeme was still thinking about Taehyun claiming himself as father of Ara.

“Why aren't you talking mom? Aren't you happy that Dad finally came to us?”

Ara asked Hyeme and she finally snapped out of her thoughts.

“Ahm- Yes! I am happy!”

Hyeme exclaimed and Ara was also satisfied with hee reply but Taehyun knew that claiming himself as Ara's father was bothering her but he he didn't say anything and started driving.

“I'm so sorry Hyeme, but I had no choice, I didn't want you to be sad. You're the one who taught me to smile again after so many years.”
