《Distraction》Who the hell is Bucky?

'Daisy!' Steve catches up to you, pulling on your arm to stop you from walking but you push him off.
'Daisy can you please stop being stubborn for once and just listen to me!'
You turn to face him, tears rolling down your cheek. 'What?' You try to shout out but it was barely a whisper.
'It's Bucky'
'What?'
'The threat is Bucky!'
'What threat? You aren't making sense!'
'Well, when you stormed out...'
'Stormed out?!'
'Wrong choice of words. Anyway...' Steve frantically scrambles, trying to explain the situation.
'You can't just push aside what you said Steve! What you did. Why did you rip up the photo?!'
'That isn't important right now...'
'It's important to me!'
'Daisy for God sake can you just stop and...'
You both then hear it, your senses heightened from the serum. The sound of a rolling on the concrete ground.
You and Steve both exchange the same worried glance and Steve grabs your hand, you both run as fast and as far as you can until you get to a big oak tree.
Steve pulls you both behind it and you cling to him as the explosion goes off from the grenade.
Your ears pound and you feel the gush of heat hit your back.
You look up at Steve and he moves you away from the tree which had caught fire from the other side.
'You okay?!' He cups your face and you nod.
'Y-yeah. Are you?'
'Yes, I'm fine I...'
'STEVE LOOK OUT!' You shout as you see a man come charging at you. He had a black mask on the lower half of his face and a metal arm. A massive rifle loaded in his hand.

Steve immediately throws the shield at him and knocks the rifle out of his hand before the shield bounces back.
You look at Steve and then back at the man.
'Who the hell is this guy?!'
'That's what I was trying to tell you! It's..'
before Steve could finish you charge at him. You launch yourself to kick him but he takes a hold of your leg and throws you into an oncoming car.
'NO!' Steve shouts as you smash into the windscreen.
The car comes to a halt and you fall off of it. Groaning out in pain.
You manage to stagger to your feet and look around for Steve. You see him fighting the man and you roll your neck around and loosen your shoulders. 'Time to put this serum to work Daisy' You say to yourself. Adrenaline pumping into you. Ignoring the searing pain that you were feeling in your back.
By the time you run up to them you see the rest of the avengers.
'We need a plan!' Tony shouts.
'Not dying is a good start!' Nat shouts back.
'Daisy?!' Loki turns to notice the colour drained from your face. 'I'm okay!' You shout out.
'No. You're not' Loki says back firmly.
'Bite me Loki' You hiss
'Don't tempt me pet' He counters back.
'You're bleeding' Bruce mumbles and you turn to see him gawking at your back.
'I landed on a car' You shrug. 'I'm fine'
'I can see the glass in your back...'
'Bruce. I'm a super soldier. I got this, I wasn't frozen in ice for seventy years to be put down after one hit!'
'At least let me look at it' Bruce sighs.
'Once we've got the son of a bitch fighting Steve. Sure'

Bruce frowns at you lightly and Loki smirks.
'I've said it before and I will say it again, you are hell of a mortal'
You ignore his apparent compliment and charge straight for Steve. Jumping onto the other mans back and gauging your fingers into his eyes from behind.
Steve hears him scream out in the sudden pain and Steve uses the shield to hit him in the stomach, forcing the man down on his knees. Once he's down you place your foot on his back and hold his arms up behind his back twisted.
'Anyone got cuffs?!'
Natasha quickly comes to your aid with a pair of handcuffs and you clasp them tightly on his wrists as he grunts out.
The others come to hold him up. He nudges and pushes them all but Loki holds a dagger to his throat.
'Now let's see who you...'
'DAISY WAIT!' Steve shouts but it was too late.
You unmask the man and instantly feel the sickness rise up in your throat.
'B-Bucky?!'
'Who the hell is Bucky?' He says back coldly, his eyes blank and his face like marble.
'Get him to the cell!' Fury calls out and the others whisk him away.
'Daisy, I was trying to tell you but...Daisy?!'
'M-my back' You whisper out as the panic and shock finally sets in.
'Get her to the lab!' Bruce shouts and Steve hoists you up gently. Your arms wrapping around his neck as he carries you back as quickly as possible.
'We make quite the team Rogers' You whisper out.
'Haven't we always?' Steve says back, trying to keep the conversation light hearted, though he couldn't stop the palpitations of his heart from seeing you in such a state.
'I love you, Steve. I'm sorry I ran out'
'I'm sorry I ripped up the photo. It just, it was embarrassing. Seeing me how I use to be...scrawny and so unwell and...'
And yet, still so perfect. To me anyway'
Steve kisses the top of your head and lays you down on the lab bed, stomach down.
'Daisy...' Steve barely musters up as he realises the damage.
'Nothing I can't handle' You say back as you try not to move too much.
'Do you want some gas and air while I extract the glass? It's going to hurt' Bruce announces as he gently enters the room.
'Please' Steve agree's.
'Steve I don't need...'
'No arguments, please Daisy'
You nod and gulp as Bruce puts the mask over your face.
'Sir yes sir' you tease as you take a deep breath.

Method Of Loci
Have you ever wondered how a blind person sees? Not their surroundings but in their mind, the place most sacred to anyone. Where they keep memories, ideas, dreams, fears, nightmares and where they let their imagination roam free. We with sight, see things in still photos or moving pictures from memories, or other references that we see everyday. Framing our mind into something that's usually the same as most of the population, something conformed. We see the same colors the same movements, the same designs. We may all think differently but we all see the same, both on the outside and the inside. Not Eliot because he was born blind, never seen a thing in his whole life, that is until the satellites appeared giving him vision and the whole world new possibilities. *** Apocalyptic setting. Game-like elements. Atleast two chapter a week

8 168Reborn Into My Novel
What if you lived in the world of your own creation? As fate would have it, our dear amateur novelist, Ellie, was reborn into the world of her fantasy novel after falling asleep at her computer. Bewildered as she was, the first person that she met was the protagonist of her novel. To add salt to the wound, it was right before the tragedy that decimated his village as per his backstory. Will Ellie save the village (and herself) to risk changing the fundamentals of her novel? Will she instead let the story run its course and leave everyone in the village to their deaths? Disclaimer: This novel is a work in progress and will be updated hopefully at least once a week. Expect minor mistakes (maybe some typos and punctuation errors) since this is the very first draft. The author suffers from perfectionism and impostor syndrome and therefore attempts to use this as sort of a therapy to break away from perfectionism and self doubt. Basically, the author employs a “I don’t care anymore and screw this trash work” mindset just to get stuff rolling and not set any expectations. Basically, basically, the author just wants to write something and not care about planning and quality and all those nice things about writing a GOOD novel since it’s counterproductive. Kthxbye. ps: Thanks for even reading this trash work pps: You’re not trash for reading this trash work btw ppps: Thanks I love y’all so much Shout out!
