'Daisy I could cry' Bucky says as he tucks into his dinner.

You can't help but laugh. 'You've got more of it on your face than in your actual mouth Buck. You're shovelling it in! Is the food here really THAT bad?'

'Yes!' Bucky says with a mouthful of food.

'It's not bad. It's just...it's not YOUR cooking' Steve says proudly. Taking your hand and kissing it from across the table.

'Nice move Captain' You tease.

'Okay. Nothing can spoil my appetite right now, but get a room' Bucky teases.

'Shut up or I won't make apple pie for dessert' You wink at Steve and Bucky imitates himself zipping his mouth shut as you and Steve burst into uncontrollable laughter.

'I'll get it started' You say kindly ad you stand up.

'It's so nice having her here Buck' Steve admits.

'Did she say how long she was staying?'

'I'm not sure pal, why?'

'Think she will make us some more food before she leaves?'

'You're unbelievable!' Steve chuckles.

'What's going on?' You ask as you walk back into the dining area. 'The pie is in the oven' You give Bucky a salute and he raises his glass up at you 'Daisy. You are my hero'

'Bucky was wondering how long you were staying' Steve interrupts.

'Oh....'

'I imagine it can't be long but...'

'Actually' You take a deep breath. 'I have something to tell you'

'Should I go?' Bucky says now confused.

'No. No it's fine. I Uh...well. I went to see Peggy'

'Carter?!' Steve says shocked. Colour draining from his face.

You reach out and give his hand a squeeze. 'It was the only way I could do it'

Bucky now puts his knife and fork down. He could hear the slight break of your voice. 'Do what Daisy?'

You don't respond.

'Do what?' Steve also asks.

You close your eyes for a moment and take one breath. 'She gave me the super soldier serum'

'WHAT?!' They both say in the same annoyed tone at the exact same time.

'How could you do this without discussing it with me first?' Steve asks completely mind-blown

'Says you!' You shout back.

'My circumstances were different and you know it!'

'I still supported you! Fuck sake'

'Language!'

'Oh don't you 'language' me Steven Grant Rogers!'

'Oh shit. She used your full name, I should go'

'Oh don't even think about it James Buchanan Barnes' you now giving him the same harshness.

You stand up and go to the kitchen. Getting the apple pie out of the oven before it burns and coming right back to them.

'Did you really just leave the conversation to take the pie out of the oven?'

'Oh I'm sorry Bucky, would you like the kitchen to catch fire and we all burn to death?'

'Daisy...' Steve starts but you interrupt him.

'All I ever wanted was you. I love you and support you through everything. And I thought you did the same for me...'

'I do!'

'No. You don't. I did this for...' You let a small tear roll down your cheek 'I did this for you, for us'

'I don't understand'

'We wouldn't have aged the same! We wouldn't have been able to grow old together! When you proposed you said until our final days. Well. Without this serum my final days would have come years before yours and I don't want that! I want forever with you, just like we planned!' You start to sob uncontrollably and Steve attempts to come to your side but you push him away. 'Don't!'

'Daisy I'm...' He comes to your side again but you once again push him, using the strength from the serum. 'I said DON'T'

'Pal, just give her chance to calm down' Bucky tries to help.

Steve shakes his head and walks off in frustration 'This is ridiculous!'

'You're the one being ridiculous Steve!'

'Women can't go to war Daisy!' He turns around and finally breaks. Using all his power to shout. His voice echoes throughout the room and you jump a mile. He had the same look in his eyes the day he attacked Bucky. 'YOU cannot go to war! I will NOT let you risk your life!'

'YET YOU CAN RISK YOURS?!'

'I'm Captain America! It's my Job and my duty!'

'Your duty should be supporting your fiancé!'

'Well when you find her, tell her to come talk to me! Because this isn't my Daisy!'

'STEVE!' Bucky stands up and comes to you. Knowing how much that must have hurt to hear.

Your face completely falls and Steve immediately regrets it all.

He rushes towards you but you shake your head.

You look down at the ring on your finger as the tears continue to flood. You take one last deep breath and pull the ring off, placing it on the table. 'I'm going to go...'

'Here' Bucky hands you a set of keys. 'Stay at my place. I'll crash here with Steve...give you some space'

'Daisy please don't do this. I'm sorry. I'm...'

You close the door behind you without another word and Steve breaks down. He walks over to the table and picks up the ring, his hands trembling. 'What did I do Buck?'
