《Distraction》"Wildflowers"

By the time you wake up you realise you're alone. You sit bolt upright and look around the room. Steve was nowhere to be seen. You make your way out of the bed and go to head downstairs when something catches your eye.
You look over to Steve's desk to see your Daisy chain. A tear falls down your face as a small smile spreads across your lips. He had kept it. You had practically thrown it back in his face but he still kept it.
You see some papers flowing out from one of the desk drawers and open the drawer in order to tidy up the overflow of papers but you gasp at what you see instead. You knew Steve had a hobby of drawing, he would draw little sketches for you here and there. A vase of flowers or some animals. But this was different. As you pulled out the piece of paper you couldn't believe your eyes. It was a portrait. Of you.
You couldn't believe how detailed and spot on it was, it was like looking in the mirror. Steve had nailed everything, from the way your one eyebrow was slightly thicker than the other to the small bump in your nose from back when Bucky technically broke it from making you jump off the cliff and into the river after Steve. Your Daisy chain was drawn hanging off your neck at perfect length and your hair was curled into beach's waves fallen to your shoulders. He even had the beauty mark that lay on the left side of your neck.
Your hands trembled as you held the drawing in your hands.
You noticed there was a scribble on the back so you turned it around.
"You may have been born a Daisy but you belong with the wildflowers" -For you, my Daisy, love from Steve Rogers.
You held the paper tightly to your chest while trying not to crinkle it. You took in a deep breath as let the tears flow down your face.

How was it possible to love someone so much without having even kissed them or dated them or... you get side tracked in your thoughts until you hear the front door open. You drop the drawing on the floor and hurdle yourself down the stairs as fast as you can.
"Daisy?" Bucky shouts as he hears the stomping of your footsteps rapidly coming down the stairs. Bucky and Steve exchange a worried glance and they both hurry to the bottom of the stairs.
Once you reach the bottom you were a blubbering mess. Your emotions had completely been brought up to survive. You were lost and overwhelmed and you couldn't handle it anymore.
"Daisy what is it? I'm sorry we left we just went to get you..."
Before Steve could say anything you cupped his face and pulled him into you, crashing your lips to his with nothing but pure passion. You felt Steve jump and you pulled back. Bucky had a beaming smile across his face but Steve was as white as a ghost. Stuck in shock.
"Oh God..I'm sorry Steve I didn't think I just I.."
Steve finally musters up his courage and pulls you back into him. His hands finding there way around your waist and your arms finding there way around his neck. He kisses you intimately and with so McIntyre desire and need. This was a long time coming.
Bucky coughs after a moment and you pull apart once again.
"People pay money to watch that kind of thing you know..."
You nudge Bucky and he laughs. Steve's cheeks flush bright red and you can't help but giggle with nerves.
"What was..I mean...what?" Steve gasped out. Completely dumbfounded by the fact that not only did you just kiss him but he also just kissed you.
"Wildflowers huh?" You ask him as you chew on your lower lip anxiously.

It takes Steve a moment to designate what you mean before the realisation hits him.
"Daisy I...it was suppose to be a gift, and I just..I couldn't..."
"Steve..." you lean in and kiss his cheek.
"Daisy we really have to talk about..."
"Well well well look who it is" A voice calls out. The three of you turn to the door to see Peggy, Howard close behind her. Bucky immediately steps in-front of you and Steve masters up his new found confidence to take your hand.
"Have you forgotten? Your our test subjects, remember?" She calls out to Bucky and Steve and you watch as the both tense. Completely forgetting considering all that's been going on lately.
"Its a shame you wasn't his first kiss Daisy. It was pretty good" Peggy taunts you and you swallow hard. Trying to bite your tongue. You knew how much the boys wanted this stupid serum and you couldn't do anything to compromise the position.
"Peggy don't" Bucky states bluntly.
"Jealous?" She mocks before walking over to him "i don't want you feeling left out..." she goes to lean into Bucky but he pushes her away. "After you practically forced Steve to kiss you, no thanks"
Peggy looks at Bucky as the colour drains from her face, realising what Bucky had just explained. You turn quickly to look at Steve and he looks petrified. You could feel his hand starting to sweat which makes you grip it tighter. Completely supporting him.
"What the fuck is that suppose to mean?" You speak up infuriated.
The silence spoke more than words could. Steve looked down sheepishly and Peggy looks at you scared. As she should be.
"Peggy...is this true?" Howard frowns and Peggy scoffs. Trying to lie. "What..no, no of course not"
"Liar!" Bucky roars. You put your other hand out and reach Bucky's shoulder. You knew he wouldn't be able to control his temper much longer. You let go of Steve and step out so you're infront this time.
"Bitch!" You shriek before backhanding her across the face. Leaving a vicious red mark instantly across her cheek.
She turns back to look at you and you smirk "May aswell make your face even" you announce as you slap the other side.
Peggy stumbles back and darts out of the house.
"I apologise...I had no idea" Howard claims awkwardly. You give him an understanding nod.
"Peggy will no longer be concerned with this serum program. I however would still really like you both to participate. If you're willing?"
You turn back to loom at Bucky and Steve and they nodded.
"I'll be in touch..." Howard says carefully before also leaving.
Once he was gone you fly into Steve's arms. Holding him tight as he let out a small cry.
"Why didn't you tell me Steve?" You ask sadly. Completely devastated for him.
"I thought you would see me as less of a man..."
"Steve. That does not make you anything less than the courageous and incredible man you always have and always will be" You hold him close and you feel another body wrap around you.
"Sorry. I needed to join" Bucky mumbles and you laugh as a tear falls from your face.
As the group hug ends Steve takes your hand and kisses it.
"I'll let you two talk and I'll come back later, I have a shift at the garage anyway" Bucky gives you one last hug and pats Steve on the back before leaving.
Steve and you make your way over to his sofa and you both sit down.
"Where do we start?" Steve nervously asks.
"I have no idea..." You reply back anxiously.

A Mildly Odd Reality Breaker
Omar receives an unexpected visitor who comes baring a gift—a "registration ticket"—in the form of a small metal card. The ticket is itself an offer to participate in the game, "Reality Break." Accepting this offer means that Omar will be able to perceive the true nature of reality where there is not one, but two dimensions of time, and in this second dimension history changes (and somewhat "frequently"). Along with this, he will also gain access to the "chronopause"; another reality that is not so much parallel to our own as it is perpendicular, which acts as both a place and the natural boundary between non-sequential points on the timeline. Using the chronopause, Omar will become a chrononaut with the ability to travel through time, and as a player, he will be given a cybernetic interface and his own portable extradimensional storage space. It's a strange conversation, but due to Omar's dismally short attention span, he only consciously hears that last bit about the portable pocket space, and that's only after the physics-defying void is opened in his living room and literally waved in front of his face. Reality is certainly stranger than most people realize, but then again, so is Omar. Thankfully, he responds well to shiny things, and for better or for worse, his chronic inattentiveness is the least of his psychological issues. Omar also has a mild form of "Oppositional Defiant Disorder" which presents itself as an occasional, arbitrary need to disobey others (especially authority figures). However, his oddest psychological issue by far is his "abnormally hyperactive" subconscious mind. Outwardly and consciously, Omar is a lazy, apathetic man-child prone to mildly asinine behavior. Subconsciously, he's some sort of genius capable of extraordinary feats of cognition. Most of the time, Omar is a (technically) functioning adult, but in order to live as such, he must rely entirely upon unusual abilities he's completely unaware of, despite the fact that he uses them regularly. Up until now, his life had merely been ridiculous, but now it was also a game. Note: The narrative style is that of a reliable narrator with a "3rd-person sarcastic" POV. This story takes place in the Reality Breakers/Chronopause universe.
