stepped out of the room. his hands were stuffed in his pockets. the boys on the couch rose as taehyung came closer.
"how are they." jimin met taehyung's eyes.
"i patched them up the best i could." taehyung turned his head towards the medical room, "they should wake up by tomorrow."
haru let out a deep breath, she didn't even know she was holding. she had started to care for them, despite how much she denied it.
"alright fuckers." yoongi yawned, "all of you better be going to bed right now."
yoongi glared at namjoon and haru. he was going to skin them if they woke him up today.
"we have a big fight ahead of us, get your beauty sleep while you can."
they nodded at the mint-haired man.
taehyung looked behind him. namjoon followed his steps.
"jimin." taehyung tapped his shoulder, "i think we should run."
jimin and taehyung bolted towards their room, slamming the door shut.
namjoon chased behind them, "let me in fuckers!"
he banged the door with his fists. taehyung and jimin chuckled from inside.
"no can do. there's only space for two."
taehyung broke out into laughter, "sorry hyung! we love you!"
namjoon huffed. he kicked the door at full force.
"fuck."
a thick crack spread across the wooden door. namjoon pursed his lips into a fine line. at least he didn't break the whole door. it was just a harmless crack.
"hyung!" taehyung screamed, "yoongi's going to kill us!"
namjoon shrugged, "oops."
namjoon needed to hide before yoongi arrived. his only option was the room he shared with haru. his mind shuddered at the thought.
he strutted with a frown towards his shared room. he pushed the door open.

namjoon noticed haru's figure on the bed, "what the fuck are you doing on my bed!"
haru sat upright on the bed. she glared at namjoon.
"your bed?" she rolled her eyes, "when did we fucking establish that?"
namjoon paced around the room. his anger rose. he gripped the ends of his hair. jimin and haru were complete opposites.
"just get the fuck off the bed! makes life a whole lot easier."
"i'm not moving an inch." haru huffed, "i'm sleeping here no matter what."
namjoon's face flashed with anger. yoongi would kill them both if they didn't sleep soon.
"i'm sleeping on the bed too." namjoon hissed, "so fucking deal with it."
haru rolled her eyes, "asshole."
haru shifted to the very end of the bed. she almost hugged the wall as she stayed as far away from namjoon as possible.
namjoon plopped onto the bed with a resounding sigh. he almost fell off the bed as he left a huge gap between him and haru.
he didn't have time to retaliate a fight with her before his eyes drifted closed.
the rain splattered against the windowsill. thunder crackled through the air followed by a burst of white streaks.
"i'm scared hyung." jungkook clutched the ends of his bedcovers.
namjoon jerked his head upwards. he sat upright, glancing at the younger boy.
"oh kookie." namjoon gestured towards him, "you can stay here."
a faint smile filled jungkook's face as he snuggled into the covers besides namjoon.
"thank you hyung."
jungkook had an unsettling feeling in his stomach. his inner voice told him something bad was going to happen. jungkook pushed away the foreign thought as he closed his eyes to sleep.
a knock tapped on their door. it mixed with the pouring rain.

"namjoon?" a voice sounded, "your father wants you."
namjoon turned in his covers. what did his father want late at night. he frowned. namjoon didn't want to leave the younger beside him alone.
"kook. are you going to be alright?"
jungkook nodded his head with a small smile.
namjoon was a bit hazy to meet his father late at night. something didn't settle with him. his mind told him again and again to stay with jungkook.
"i'll come." namjoon sighed, staring at the man by the door.
namjoon got out of the covers. he rubbed his eyes as he followed the man.
"appa?" namjoon tilted his head.
his father held a knife in his hand. his lips curved into a smirk as he looked down at namjoon.
he knew his father led a gang. namjoon didn't know why his father held a knife in his hand late at night.
"namjoon." his father called, putting a hand on his shoulder.
namjoon shied away from the sudden touch. his father was the least affectionate. what did he want?
"it's time for the gang to have a successor." his father chuckled.
namjoon furrowed his eyebrows. he didn't want to lead his father's gang. he just wanted to stay with jungkook in their own little world.
a loud wave of thunder ripped across the sky.
his father stood tall beside namjoon, bringing him towards a cell.
namjoon tilted his head. that seemed like uncle jeon.
namjoon's father pressed the knife into namjoon's hands.
"do you know what we do with traitors?" his father murmured with a sickening tone.
namjoon swallowed hard. jungkook's father wasn't a traitor. a huge weight fell onto his back. his father stared down at his every move with his piercing eyes.
he knew what his father wanted him to do. he didn't want to understand. his heart bore a heavy weight as he stared at the dagger in his hands.
his father saw the hesitation manifesting in namjoon. his son couldn't be weak. he wouldn't allow that.
the storm screamed with anger as namjoon's father turned towards the boy.
"son." his father pressed, "you wouldn't want anything to happen to jungkook right?"
namjoon trembled as the thunder struck hard in the room. his fingers shivered as he held onto the knife.
his father pushed him closer towards jungkook's father. his eyes warned namjoon.
namjoon didn't want to do it. he cherished jungkook like a brother he didn't deserve this.
namjoon wanted to turn back. he wanted to go back under his covers with jungkook. he couldn't do this. he took a deep breath in and a deep breath out.
"go on." his father demanded.
namjoon stared at the dagger in his hands. he exchanged glances between his uncle and the knife.
thunder rumbled in the background as his father pushed him closer.
his father creeped behind him like a shadow. namjoon closed his eyes.
"i'm sorry uncle." he whispered softly.
uncle jeon smiled a faint smile. his brown orbs stared straight into namjoon's. the same eyes jungkook had.
namjoon's eyes began to fill with tears. he closed his eyes to prevent the tears from escaping.
his father stared namjoon down, encroaching behind him like a monster.
the lightning flashed across the sky followed by the deafening rumble of thunder.
namjoon plunged the knife deep into uncle jeon's chest.
