was silent for a split second. all the thoughts were rushing into his overwhelmed mind. he processed each word one by one.
"hyung!" taehyung nudged him, "we need to lea-"
before taehyung could finish his sentence, the house exploded into a fiery wave of flames.
the windows shattered. glass glided through the air. the walls split apart, cinder blocks of wood and flames pummeled through the air.
they were propelled by an invisible force, lifting them up.
taehyung felt his body float in mid air before it crashed against the side of the wall while the blistering heat scotched his skin.
black spots danced in his vision once his body crashed back down with the ground. a steering pain shot up taehyung's back as he struggled to get up from the fall.
flames consumed the mansion. a thick cloud of smoke coats the air. the boys laid on the ground coughing in the hazy array of smoke. their ears rang from the shrill piercing shriek.
haru's back cracked once she sat upright. she looked down at her skin. blood welled up in tiny cuts from the incisions.
they looked around the room. in dead silence, heads turned around counting the people in the room.
someone was missing.
namjoon turned his head around the room. his vision was misty from the stabbing pain in his forehead.
he scanned around the room. they were all there right?
a thought struck him. his eyes enlarged as he ran through the set of boys once again. he shook his head. it wasn't true. it couldn't be
he couldn't find the orange haired man.
"hoseok." namjoon mumbled.
jungkook's eyes shot up. he dusted himself. he was in pain, but hoseok was his priority. he couldn't lose anyone else.
"i'll look for hoseok." jungkook hissed in pain, "the rest of you get to the car."

jimin's heart raced. jungkook was injured. a flood of blood was streaming down jungkook's back.
"kook." jimin groaned as he stood up, "i'll look for him. you're in no position to find him."
jungkook bobbed his head side to side. he didn't care, he was going to find hoseok.
"no." he huffed, "i got this."
silver lined stars spotted in jungkook's vision as he got up to move. jungkook stumbled. a reeling sensation floated through him. his vision went cloudy. jungkook lost his balance crashing towards the ground. jimin flung himself towards jungkook, cushioning his weight.
"stay down." jimin held the younger, "i'll look for him."
jungkook pouted, his brown orbs stared into jimin's. he clasped his hands together, begging to the pink haired boy.
jimin bobbed his head, "jungkook. we are not arguing over this. i'll find hoseok."
jimin didn't spare a glance at jungkook. he dusted himself off struggling to stand straight.
coughs erupted from jimin once his lungs absorbed the bitter scent of the smoke filled air. he wiped the sweat coating his forehead from the sweltering heat of the flames. only the thought of hoseok lingered in his mind.
what would the world do without the sun? what could they do without their sun, without hoseok?
jimin shook away the thoughts that ate him away. nothing would have happened to hoseok. jimin stumbled into the flames.
he looked around the melting heat. his insides were on fire. his skin was scabbing at the high temperatures. he didn't have much time left.
jimin took one last glance around the area.
"hoseok!" jimin shrieked.
hoseok laid amongst the flames. jimin had almost missed him. the orange hair had blended in with the flames.
jimin rushed over to hoseok. blood seeped from hoseok's wounds. bits and pieces of glass stuck out from his skin.

"hoseok!" jimin called, "can you hear me?"
hoseok didn't reply. what did jin tell him? where can you find the pulse? he regretted not paying attention to what jin had told him.
"wait. wait." jimin chanted as an epiphany passed through him.
it was the wrist. that was what jin said. jimin held hoseok's hand, pressing his finger onto his wrist. a tingling sensation spread through his fingers. he sighed in relief.
jimin didn't waste any more time. he wrestled between his anxious heart and his raspy breaths. he had to do this. he lunged hoseok's body over his shoulder.
jimin's insides were screaming for mercy inside the scorched heat. jimin ran at the fastest speed he could with hoseok's added weight.
"i found him."
the others looked up at jimin. hoseok had been affected the most from the blast.
taehyung glanced at jimin, "get to the car. i'll drive."
"are you sure you are well enough to drive?"
"does it look like we have another option." taehyung snapped, "i've been worse, i can manage it."
taehyung pulled out the keys from his pocket. he looked over at the youngest struggling to stand straight.
"it's okay jungkook, lean on me."
jungkook leaned on taehyung's shoulders. taehyung ushered to the others to get into the car.
"what about exo?"
"don't worry about them." namjoon spoke almost as if he were in a trance, "we got them out of the building."
another wave of relief passed jimin. at least they were safe.
the boys got into their van. taehyung stared into the side mirror. his eyes were lost into the fiery blaze of the flame.
"alright bitches." taehyung screamed, "prepare for top speed."
taehyung pressed his foot on the accelerator. the vehicle zipped through the barren streets under the gleam of the white moon.
it was dead silent till they arrived at the front of their home.
"i'll take care of any other injuries after hoseok and jungkook."
taehyung propped jungkook over his shoulder. he rushed into the medical room, setting him down on the bed. jimin followed him with hoseok over his shoulder, setting him down on the other bed.
"let one of us know if you need help." jimin expressed his concern, "we'll do our best, but we're no jin."
jimin flashed a warm smile at taehyung once he left the room.
"holy shit." taehyung mumbled in realization.
he didn't have jin by his side this time.
