of electricity were fueled through him, in an attempt to get his heart to beat again. jin and taehyung were dripping sweat in effort to save their brother from the cruel ropes of death. as they shot the electricity for the final time, their eyes teared up. they would lose him if there wasn't a heartbeat, it was fatal to shock him again.
***
jimin took it the hardest, he had saved him. jimin relived his whole life with him. all seven of them together were a family, without one their family would be broken.tears had surfaced to his eyes. jimin was on the verge of tears. jimin was given a whole new reason to live because of him. he couldn't leave now, it was to early. they all wanted to grow old together, live the life of crime together. the echoes and shadows of his old life came back to haunt him.
***
jimin was a foster care child, he had one sister who he loved dearly. the day he was going to be adopted was the brightest moment in their lives. leaving the wretched orphanage, finally having parents who could love them. a family, the two words he wanted to hear the most.
he sprouted a cheeky grin, holding his sisters hand walking into their new home together.
as he entered his eyes widened, his eyebrows raised up. thousands of beer bottles glazed the ceramic floors. the walls were cracked, dust sprinkling the corners of the home.
he dreamed that his new eomma and appa would welcome him home, hug him and give him kisses, shower them in love.
drunk on many glasses of beer and vodka his parents were evil. their weapon stash used as threatening devices. on many occasions a loaded gun pointed to his head.

they were neglected, barely fed. trips to doctors or dentists a once in a lifetime occurrence. barely washed, lice frosted their heads. clothing covered in holes, rips and tears, worn out and smelly.
sprinting straight from school, jimin's fingers trembled the cost of not arriving on time was grave.
"why the fuck are you late? school ended thirty minutes ago."
jimin shivered, scrambling to take off his shoes and doing his daily duties. he picked up bottle by bottle.
accidentally he dropped one. the shattering of the glass ringing throughout the filth. tiny shards of glass garnished the floor.
"shit." he cursed, he had woken up his father.
he heard the doorknob turn, his sister had arrived. she had light patches of black and blue, tinting her face from the nights before.
"noona he's awake." jimin mumbled, "i'm sorry"
"fuck- jimin, go to your room." his noona brushed back her hair, sighing.
jimin scurried, watching behind the stairs. his father slowly making way to his sister.
"you have one fucking job." his father said, his voice rising with every word, "i don't get paid enough for dealing with you brats."
his father grabbed her hair, smashing her face against the wall. she cried in agony. her skin split at the sides of her jaw, gushing out blood. removing his belt, he whipped her. she curled into a ball, sizzling pain shooting up her back. her eyes welled up with tears, as her muscles tensed. her father grabbed a beer bottle, smashing it over the side of her head as she got up. she stumbled, her head bled profusely.
"where's jimin?" he asked, a malicious glint in his eyes.
she knew he hadn't gone to his room, he never did. black spots filled her vision.

"homework." she croaked, as she stumbled up the stairs away from him.
reaching their room, she let the stars take over. jimin tiptoed into their room, first aid kit in his hand. he covered her cuts in gauze and bandages the same as he did every night. she didn't want him to get his share.
jimin lifted the bags of groceries, hiding a first aid kit in one of the bags. slowly he pushed the key into the door, slowly turning it.
his heart stopped, he was frozen rooted to place. his mother and father were lying in a pool of blood, faces bloated. their bodies were cold, skin dark and molted, a pale tint of blue, with a bullet wound straight through the head. a fire was burning the house down, the crisp smokey sent spreading inside the home. jimin coughed from the smoke flowing into his lungs.
he looked for his noona, swiftly scrimmaging through rooms and closets. there was no sign of her. her clothes and belongings all had disappeared. he had no one left for him, they all left him. even his sister. he lost his home and family all in a couple hours. jimin grabbed his belongings, his few articles of clothing and packed it into a suitcase, leaving the premises of his home.
sitting on the curb of a street, tears broke free flowing in a stream. his face red and blotchy, sniffling his eyes were bloodshot, stuttering while taking a deep breath. jimin was too engrossed, to notice the man that had come sitting next to him.
the man had seen potential in him, just like the other five. something about jimin screamed at him. just like the rest, jimin had suffered a great deal, it was evident from his eyes and his tattered clothes, and his suitcase set beside him.
"i can offer you a home." the man had a deep pitch.
something about him was unsettling, but jimin needed a new home, a place to escape from this hell he was living in. he nodded solemnly.
"name's namjoon." he let out a hand.
jimin grasped the hand, "i'm jimin."
jimin had entered the world of drugs and gangs that same instant. he left busan making way to his new home in seoul. within his gang he discovered the meaning of a family, he found brothers that all loved each other. namjoon taught jimin how to use his first gun, taught him how to love, namjoon was his role model.
***
jin and tae were ready. they prayed for him to recover
namjoon's body jolted as it shocked him, the ekg had a spike. he was alive. death hadn't grasped him away from them.
jin was relieved, he wiped the sweat off his forehead. his eyes sparkled in joy, an hour of excruciating stress and pain paid off. taehyung engulfed jin in a hug, overcome with happiness.
jin opened the door, the boys all were embracing jimin, as he let out tears. they all prepared for the worst. it was painful to see them all like this, each one's tears soaking each other's shirts.
"he's safe." jin and tae grinned, embracing everyone.
jimin's eyes closed up as he smiled a genuine smile, the first one in a while.

During the course of developing and writing the first volume of this project, I've learned a lot, but I've also come to realize I have so much more to learn. I appreciate any and all suggestions, comments, corrections, and observations if they are, of course, reasonable. I hope you genuinely enjoy the story.
