i'm not really good at sad moments. i'm never really sad so i don't know how to react. i don't like this attention. i make myself laugh, it's the only way i know how to lighten a situation. or in this case, make a situation less awkward.
"i'm really sorry bri." he puts his hand on my shoulder, offering support. "it's fine. whatever." i shake my head. "how do you feel?" he asks with his hand still on my shoulder. "good question," i try to add some humor in my voice.
"i don't know... i'm really confused. my parents literally never fight and out of nowhere they're getting a divorce. this feels like a dream." i throw my hands up. i shake my head in disbelief. i still can't believe it.
"maybe they did. you never know." mason said. "i don't get it!" i get frustrated.
i get off of masons car and i take a few steps away from it. i have so many emotions right now. i groan trying to let my frustration out. "i just want to yell."
"then yell." he says. "what?" i look at him crazy. "yell, no one is going to see you." there's no way i'm actually yelling. "this isn't a movie, i'm not yelling." i walk back to where mason was. "then punch me."
a wave of excitement runs through my body. "really?" i get excited. "no! i'd rather you yell out your frustration than hit me." booooooo. i kind of wanted to punch him. "you really want me to yell?" i cross my arms. at least there's no one up here. he nods.
i look around us. why not? i scream as loud as i can. this lasts for about eight seconds. i stop then i laugh. mason laughs too. "wow... that really did help." i catch my breath. "told you." he smiles. i stand there and admire him. mason was actually very attractive.

i sat back on his hood next to him. "thanks mason." i hug him. "anytime." he hugs back. honestly i could stay in this position forever. there was something about his hugs, they made me feel safe. "i can't believe i just cried and yelled in front of a complete stranger." i tuck a piece of hair behind my ear.
"hey, i don't think i'm a complete stranger now." i feel like i offended him. i seriously need to watch how i say things. "i don't even know you." i say back. "then what do you want to know?" he leans back. "i don't know..." i also lean back. mason plays with his hands. "well there's nothing really special about me. i have a dog, a sister, a single mom. ohio was pretty cool but i'm starting to like it out here."
"you have a dog? what kind?" i get excited. "a husky." the second he said the word i almost had a heart attack. "no way! you have a husky? that's like my dream dog!" i grab his shoulder out of excitement. "woah, it's just a dog." he stares at me like i'm crazy.
"it's a husky!" i say. husky's are the cutest dog breed in my opinion. "okay okay, maybe one day you can come over and see her." he offers. "maybe? i'm definitely coming over now."
maybe i should calm down.
"what's your dogs name? i have to know." i ask. "nova... don't look at me! sophia picked it out." i shrug. "it's cute," i smile. i calm down and remember the rest of what mason said. "wait you said your mom is a single mom? where's your dad?" i question.

masons looks away. are his parents divorced too? "my dad... he... passed away two years ago."
and just like that, i killed the whole mood. "oh shit mason, i'm sorry." i frown. fuck! "it's okay it was a while ago." he says and i feel so bad. way to go bri!
"two years ago wasn't that long ago," i rub his shoulder. "do you want to talk about it?" i wait for him to look at me. "actually can we change the subject?" he does. "of course! my bad." i feel absolutely terrible.
why am i like this?
"want to go get something to eat?" i suggest. i'm so hungry. "it's like you read my mind. i'm starving." masons face lights up and he jumps off the car. i do the same. we get in his car and he starts it. "what are you in the mood for?" he asks.
"a huge cheeseburger." i say so excited. "a cheeseburger? nice." he says. "i know just the place."
✰✰
i watch him closely as he takes the first bite. "so what do you think?" i ask before he can even chew. masons eyebrows go up as he chews and he starts to smile. "ha! i told you." i smile feeling successful. he puts his finger up until he finishes chewing. "it's so good." he admits.
i put my hand behind my ear and i lean in towards him. "really?" he grabs his water. "thank you." he says and i applaud myself in my head. "you are totally welcome." i take a bite of my own burger.
when we get done eating, mason drives me back to my house. "your parents are probably worried about you. you've been with me for a few hours." mason parks in front. "yeah right." i sigh. i really don't want to go back home.
"thank you mason. for making me feel better." i smile. kiss him on the cheek. why not?
he looks nervous as i stare at him waiting to make up my mind.
i kiss him on the cheek and i get out of the car. "see you at school?" i ask before i walk away. "yeah, see you at school." he says with a big smile on his face.
"bye." i wave then i start walking up to the door. here we go.

Who Knows?
"Watch it.""Watch it," I mock him in a whisper, feeling brave. Suddenly, he gets up from his stool and stalks towards me. His large frame towering over my sitting form. I swallow the last bit of my pancakes slowly, my eyes wandering up his body until they stop at his face. He seems displeased. Very much so. His hand grabs the part where my head and neck connect and he slowly but firmly tilts my head back, his fingers tangling in my hair. His skin is rough on mine but still oddly comforting."What did you just say?" He asks, each of his words pronounced slowly and precisely. "I-I-I j-just.. I was j-just joking." I barely choke out. "You were just joking, huh?" "Mhm." I nod, my head subconsciously leaning into his touch my eyes closing on their own accord. His thumb caresses my cheekbone and I never want him to stop. I have never had a male being make me feel this good before. Don't get me wrong I did kiss a few people but it never felt as good as what he is doing right now. "Romy?""Yes," I breathe out, biting my lip. His thumb is quick in pulling it from between my teeth. "Nevermind." He rushes out, detaching his hand from my face.Hey Guys! I hope you enjoy my story. LADY CHATTERLEY'S LOVER (Completed)
Lady Chatterley's Lover is a novel by D. H. Lawrence, first published privately in 1928 in Italy, and in 1929 in France and Australia. An unexpurgated edition was not published openly in the United Kingdom until 1960, when it was the subject of a watershed obscenity trial against the publisher Penguin Books. Penguin won the case, and quickly sold 3 million copies. The book was also banned for obscenity in the United States, Canada, Australia, India and Japan. The book soon became notorious for its story of the physical (and emotional) relationship between a working class man and an upper class woman, its explicit descriptions of sex, and its use of then-unprintable words.
