《Battle Scars|✔️》The Police

I kissed my little girl goodbye but she was too engrossed in whatever kids movie she was watching to truly care that I was leaving.
I told her that I had some work to do and that was partly true but I left out what kind of work I was doing.
I got into my car and drove to the police station where my meeting was being held.
Greeting the desk woman as I walk in, I made my way to the office."George Cox. It's nice to see you." I say entering the room. The officer who had been to focused on his cell phone jumped at my voice
"Mr.Mason. Nice to see you." He said after he'd recovered from the shock."So how can I help you today Mr.Mason?" Cox asks warily. My involvement with the police is minimal but what there has been was not been pretty
"Well Cox, as I'm sure you've heard, I have recently gained custody of a little girl. My daughter to be exact. I noticed some odd behaviors in her and yesterday morning, I found out about some...disturbing injuries on the young girl. She told me that her Mother and Step Father were abusive towards her."I pause to gage his reaction to my words
"I'm very sorry to hear that Mr.Mason." He says honestly. I nod before continuing"I want those 2 monsters behind bars." I say through gritted teeth. Cox gets up and grabs some forms setting them in front of me
"Fill these out." I do as he says and once I'm done I hand them back to him. "I will come by your house tomorrow and ask the girl questions." I snap my head to him angrily and grab the young man by his shirt collar. "No. you will come to my house when I say so. Not before. Understand?"

He nods quickly fear in his eyes. Good. He won't mess with me. "I won't have you coming to my house and scaring my little girl before she is ready to talk."He gulps"Yes sir of course."
I nod and release his shirt."I have to leave Cox. I'll be in touch."He nods fearfully once more and I can't help the smirk that creeps on my face.
Once I'm back in the car I pull out my phone to make a very important call to one of my workers
(A=Arthur C=Calvin)
I hang up the phone and drive home. I walk into the living room to see Thea cuddled up with Hayden on the couch.Thea was out cold but Hayden was playing a game on his phone. "Hey Dad." He whispers
"Hey Hayden. How long she been asleep on you?"He shrugs."Us and the twins were watching a movie but little bumble bee here conked out within the first 20 minutes."
He laughed. Thea whined and shifted a little but with minimal coaxing from Hayden she falls back asleep. It was then that I was the most upset about the awful situation she had clearly been in. She was so innocent and angelic.
How the hell could you hurt her? I snapped out of my thoughts and looked back at Hayden"Want me to take her?" He looked down at the sleeping girl in his arms and shook his head. "I'm okay here with her."
I smile and nod.
I knew that I would protect that angel with all my power and so would my 5 boys.

Choice. An important thing is it not? We always make choices. Every day of every week of every month (of every year), we do “choices”. I want to show you how important it is and I would gladly welcome the attention. I heard somewhere that the best way to make someone understand is to just let them experience it, so, here’s your first choice. CHOICE 01 Would you play this game, or not? Take your time, I’m not waiting for the people who chooses the latter anyways.

Aggravated Defense (Progression LitRPG)
A quick TL;DR pitch. LitRPG Apocalypse with group progression, a non-overpowered mc, a limited skill-slot System where having a single skill over your opponent could make a big difference. A barrier mage mc who isn’t an Edgelord A sentient System that’s a character in its own right. And no harem or cheat skills. ~<>~<>~ Steven knew the world had ended when a great green and purple dome covered the city of Anchorage. Then things got weirder. First earthquakes, then bolts fell from the sky, changing and twisting the things they hit. Steven, stuck in the throes of apathy, had sought shelter out of boredom more than anything else. But when some fellow survivors are separated and trapped by a rampaging moose, an emotion breaks through his apathy. He can’t turn away. Some people say it’s everyone for themselves at the end of the world. Steven disagreed ~<>~<>~ Will update every Sunday and Tuesday at 9:00am, unless the chapter is beefy, then we'll just have one that week. For some more meta details about this story, it’s a LitRPG Apocalypse with a focus on abilities and how they are used over stats and numbers. It will have group progression, a non-overpowered protagonist, and a focus on unique and interesting classes. No overwhelming advantages for the main crew or broken cheat skills. No harem, some amount of gore, decent levels of profanity.
