IM SO SORRY FOR NOT UPDATING AND IM SURE YOU ALL WANNA LIKE COME AND KILL ME AND IM SORRY BUT TAKE THIS CHAPTER INSTEAD!
••••3rd POV••••
It was only two days later when the Sullivan family had heard about Richard. They had been contacted by his wife that Richard had passed away ischemic heart disease. He had wanted to visit them, knowing that he didn't have much time left.
They didn't go to school that day. After hearing the news, they were all depressed. Ruby was crying most of the day. Oliver ran to his room quickly and still hasn't stepped out all day. Sasha cried and tried to comfort Ruby as much as she could. Even though she hadn't known him for long, Iris was depressed herself and felt sorry for them, also because she didn't like the fact that they had to go through what she did.
She comforted Sasha and Ruby as much as she could. Though as much as she wanted to, she couldn't comfort Oliver. She already tried knocking on his door and asking to talk, texting him, but he never replied. She was scared for what he might be doing in there.
What also sucks? She was supposed to hang out with Terrence today. She had completely forgotten until Kayla texted her two hours before telling her to not embarrass herself and to tell her everything later. Now Iris was panicking and pacing back and forth in her room because she didn't know Terrence's number to reschedule.
••••Iris' POV••••
I sigh softly and open my window. I stick one leg out and peak my head out, looking up as I grab onto a sturdy part of the roof. I began to pull myself up.
This has gotten easier each time I climb up here with Oliver. This has really became a spot for the both of us where we just talk, hang out, and look at the view of the sky. It's nice that we come up here on a daily basis. I like spending time with him..
I pull myself up completely and gasp at the sight. "Oliver? What are you doing?!" I exclaim, my eyes widening as I stare at him. There was Oliver standing - at the edge of the roof, looking down. "Calm down," he said in a sigh, "If I was gonna jump, I would've done it already." He admits.
I slowly stand and balance myself as Oliver turns to face me. His eyes widen and he hurries over to me as quickly as he could. He puts both his hands on my shoulders. "Iris, be careful. I don't wanna lose anyone else today." He mumbles the last part, lowering the both of us onto the roof so we could sit instead of stand.
"Oliver, I'm more worried about you. You haven't eaten, left your room or spoken to anyone all day." I tell him. "I just wanted to be alone, Iris." He says, looking away at the view. "Do you still want to be alone?" I ask, biting my lip.
He's silent for a while, most likely thinking, then shakes his head. "I just can't believe he's gone...completely." His voice has already started cracking. "We were just starting to get along and he.." Oliver trails off, hiding his face in his hands. "Oliver?" I place a hand on his shoulder, a bit shocked since I've never seen him like this before. He faces me, tears in his eyes. "He's gone, Iris. I'm never gonna see him again." The tears started streaming down his face.

"Oliver, I'm gonna help you get through this, okay? I've been through this as well and I've gotten through it with the help of you and your family so now it's my turn to help you all. You're gonna be oka-" Oliver doesn't even let me finish before he pulls me towards him and tightly hugs me. I hug back quickly, knowing that he's gonna need it.
"Iris, you don't have to say anything else. I've heard it all before. You just being here is enough for me." His words are muffled into my hair but I understood. "I'll always be here for you, Oliver." I tell him. He doesn't reply but he continues crying into my hair and shoulder.
A few minutes later, he pulls away and wipes his eyes. "Thanks Iris, that helped..a lot." He smiles at me. "Of course, Oliver. Anytime." I smile back at him.
"By the way, do you have Terrence's number? I was gonna reschedule and meet him at the mall some other day..sorry for my bad timing." I ask, biting my lip nervously. "It's Friday? Oh.." He gulps, "Don't worry, Iris. Go hang out with him. I'll drop you off at the mall." He smiles but we both know it was forced.
"What? No way. I can't leave you guys. Not today." I decline, shaking my head. "It's okay. You've done so much for us, Iris. Besides, I'm gonna be here for my family." He says. "But-"
He stands up abruptly. "Go get dressed. We'll leave in an hour." He says then walks to my window and climbs inside, ignoring my protests. I stare at my window where he just was. That was odd...
*******************
I knock on Oliver's bedroom door and he opens it a few seconds later. "Ready to go I assume?" He raises an eyebrow at me. "Oliver, I know you'd rather me go hang out with Terrence but I just feel bad. I can't leave you guys, that'd be rude, you all just went through something serious. I rather be here." I tell him.
He shakes his head, "You're way too nice, Iris." He chuckles softly. "Iris, we'll be alright." He tries to assure me. "I can't just leave you guys al-"
"Iris. Please. We'll be fine. Seriously." Oliver smiles reassuringly at me. "Are you s-"
"Yes. I'm sure." He shakes his head, chuckling. "Now lets go, okay?" He says, putting his hands on my shoulder and forcing me downstairs with him.
*******************
The car ride was silent...okay, that's a lie. I kept protesting against going but Oliver would repeatedly tell me that they were going to be fine.
We arrive at the mall and I just stare at it, not wanting to go inside for once. I look back at him, pouting.
"That's not gonna work this time." He says, a small smirk tugging at his lips. I sigh and slump back in the seat, "Can't I just reschedule? We can always go back home." I tell him. "I drove you all the way over here, Iris. Please don't do that. I just want you to enjoy today despite the events." He says, a small frown on his face.
I purse my lips, "Alright, alright, I'll go. But I can't guarantee I'll have fun." I look at him now. "Thank you, Iris." He smiles a bit. "I'm doing this for you. If you want me to come back early or just want to talk, don't be afraid to call me or pick me up, okay?" I ask him, smiling at him. "Sure." He shakes his head, chuckling.

I lean over and give him a hug, "Even if I'm not physically there, I'll always be there for you." I giggle. "And I'll always be there for you too, Iris." He replies and even though I can't really see him, I know he's smiling.
I pull away and open the door. "Remember to call or text me!" I call over my shoulder. "Will do!" He chuckles. I smile at him and close the door behind me, watching him drive off.
I frown when he's far enough. I want you to be happy, Oliver. I sigh softly, walking into the mall.
Looking around, I smile since I remember when Oliver and I came here for Christmas shopping. I walk towards the theater which was near the end of the mall near the bridge.
When I get there, Terrence is there already, looking down at his phone. I place a smile on my face and walk over to him. "Hey Terrence!" I greet him. He looks up and smiles at me, "Iris, hey! I didn't know if you were still coming since you weren't at school today.." He mumbles. "Yeah, sorry about that. Something came up." I explain.
"Oh, okay. Are you ready?" He asks, holding his hand out to me. "Definitely." I reply, placing my hand in his. "Great." He smiles wider and intertwines our fingers, walking into the theater.
*********************
We walk out of the theater. I'm giggling as Terrence reenacts some of the scenes from the horror movie.
Yeah, a horror movie. Terrence picked it and since I enjoy horror movies, I agreed. I jumped a few times since I wasn't paying attention since I was thinking of Oliver and his family so when I focused on the movie, it would be a jump scare. Terrence would chuckle and pull me closer to him. I had fun overall.
"Anyway, are you hungry? I could take you somewhere, Iris." He asks. I think for a moment. "I'm actually not that hungry, I kinda had a big lunch." I reply, laughing nervously. That's a lie, I didn't have lunch.
"Oh, alright. Well, I had fun, Iris. I hope you did too." He says, a big smile on his face. "I sure did. We should do this again." I reply, smiling back at him. "Definitely. Do you need me to drop you off anywhere or do you have a ride?" He asks, raising an eyebrow. Well there is a bus stop.. "I'll be fine. I have a ride, thank you though." I tell him.
He nods, "Of course. So, I'll see you at school on Monday, right?" He asks. "Yeah, I'll be there." I answer, smiling at him. "Good to hear. Bye Iris!" He says, giving me a quick hug before walking away towards his car.
I turn and face the direction of the bus stop. Is it just me or was that a bit weird? Terrence was acting a bit strange today...maybe because we were hanging out for the first time? Hmm..
*********************
"Why didn't you just let him drop you off?" Kayla asks on the other side of the phone. "Because he might know that this is Oliver's house and Oliver's going through enough already today." I remind her, my voice low so I don't wake anyone. It was already late at night when I got home. Ruby and Mrs. Sullivan are sleeping but Oliver isn't home. I don't know where he went either.
"Didn't you say Oliver wasn't home though?" She asks. "Well..yeah, but that doesn't mean anything. If he was home, I wouldn't let Terrence drop me off either obviously." I tell her.
My phone begins vibrating and I realize that I'm getting another call. I check the contact: . I roll my eyes, chuckling at the contact. This is why I don't let them name their own contacts.
"Hang on Kayla, I'm getting another call. I'll text you tomorrow, okay?" I ask her. "Okay. Goodnight Iris!" She replies before ending the call.
I answer Ross' call. "Hey Ross. Is everything okay?" I ask him since it's unusual for him to call me, especially this late at night. "Uh we're gonna be dropping Oliver off at-"
"Is that my Iris?" I hear in the background then Oliver belch. I would've been flattered but my face scrunches in disgust when I hear him belch. "Um hi Oliver-" so that's where Oliver went? With Ross and Adam?
He gasps, "It is her! Gimme!" He exclaims. "Oliver, no! Let go!" Ross shouts and I can tell Oliver and Ross are fighting over the phone. "Iris, I'll have Adam call you!" Ross shouts before the phone call ends.
I glance down at my phone screen, raising an eyebrow. Is Oliver d-
My phone vibrates again and I answer quickly, already knowing it's Adam. "Adam, is everything okay?" I ask, getting concerned. "We need you to help Oliver into the house, he's..well, he's wasted is what he is." Adam explains. Before I could even respond-
"Ross, hold Oliver down! Now he's after my phone!" Adam shouts, "Dammit Oliver, I'm trying to drive!"
"I'm trying!" Ross shouts back.
I raise an eyebrow but shrug. "Alright, fine. I'll be waiting outside." I tell Adam. "Thanks Iris!" I hear, then the call ends.
I get out of bed, sighing softly. He could've called me instead of going out to drink. For goodness sake, he's underage!
I put my slippers on, not really caring about my appearance. I was in a baggy t-shirt and pajama pants. The only thing I did care about: Oliver..and Oliver waking everyone up.
I walk downstairs as quietly as I can, using my phones flashlight to help me see where I'm going. I make it outside and leave the door ajar so all of the cold air doesn't enter the house.
Oh yeah, and it's freezing. Stupid me..forgetting to grab a jacket or sweatshirt or something.. I sigh again, wrapping my arms around myself to try to warm myself up as much as I can as I wait for them to come.
About three minutes later, Adam's car comes driving down the street. I sigh in relief since I don't have to wait in this cold any longer.
The car stops in front of the house and I walk up the window that was open. "H-hey guys." I greet, teeth chattering as I try to smile. "Damn Iris, why didn't you wear a hoodie or something?" Adam asks. "I know, I completely forgot-"
I hear a loud gasp come from the back seat. Then the door flies open and Oliver jumps out, forcing me into a tight hug. "Iris!" He exclaims, all giddy and happily. "Um..hey?" I greet, a bit confused and amused by drunk Oliver.
"He's been talking about you all night..well, you and his dad..mostly you though." Ross tells me, smirking. "Really?" I bite my lip. He nods, chuckling.
"How was your date?" Adam asks. "It wasn't a date!" I exclaim. "Sure.." he mumbles, chuckling. "Ew, a date.." Oliver shudders.
Oliver then buries his face into the crook of my neck and I feel his breath fan over my neck. I bite my lip again. "You smell like flowers.." Oliver mumbles against my neck. "Thank-" I let out a squeak and bite my lip harder as I feel Oliver place a small, gentle kiss on my neck.
Ross' eyes widen and he closes the back door, walking around the car to the passengers side. "I think we're gonna go before things get heated." Ross chuckles. "Sorry to leave him with you like this, Iris." Adam apologizes, smiling sympathetically.
"Uh- it's a-alright..I g-guess?" I reply quietly. But it wasn't alright. Oliver Sullivan just kissed me neck!
"Wait, where's Lucas?" I ask, realizing I haven't heard any snarky comments from him. "Oh, he didn't come tonight. He didn't say why." Ross shrugs. I nod in response. "Cause he's stupid.." Oliver says. We chuckle, thinking it's a joke.
"Thanks again for this, Iris. Have a goodnight." Adam smiles at me. "Goodnight Iris." I hear Ross say from the passengers seat. "Goodnight you guys." I reply, smiling at them. "Goodnight losers!" Oliver exclaims and they laugh before they drive off.
I try to face Oliver but he's now holding me from behind. "C'mon Oliver, lets get you to your room." I say. "But I wanna," he hiccups/hic, "stay with you Iris." He says, tightening his grip around me.
"Alright, alright. Lets just go inside because I'm cold." I tell him, hoping he'll let go and let us go inside. Oliver quickly takes off his leather jacket he's wearing and wraps it around me, then puts both hands on my shoulders, and pretty much directs me into the house..or tries to, we bumped into a few things on the way there.
I shut the door behind us and lock it once we both get inside. "I'll go get you some water. Just go wait in your room for now." I tell him. He nods and stumbles up the stairs. ..I probably should've helped him... I quickly get him a glass of water from the kitchen.
I walk upstairs into Oliver's room to find that he's not there. "Oliver?" I silently call his name but get not reply. I place the water on his desk and take his leather jacket off, hanging it on a hanger and putting it in his closet.
I finally get a reply from Oliver. It was the sound of him throwing up in the bathroom. I cringe, "Well at least he made it to the bathroom." I mumble to myself and hurry to the bathroom.
"Oliver? Are you alright?" I ask even though the answer was obvious. "Oh yeah, totally-" He begins puking in the toilet. I look away, frowning. "When you're..finished, I'll help you get into your-" I pause for a moment. Did I really have to help Oliver change into his pajamas like a Barbie doll?
"Mhmm.." He probably understands what I mean, then there was the sound of more puking.
I walk back into Oliver's room and look around, then walk over to his drawers. So he wears boxers..but I'll let him get those himself. I back away from the drawers and notice a t-shirt on his bed and decide he'll wear that as well.
Oliver comes stumbling into the room and I hurry over to him, helping him stand steadily. I help him towards his bed where he face plants into the pillows. "Oliver, you can't sleep in those clothes." I tell him, shaking my head. "I can't, but I want to." His words are muffled but I understood.
"C'mon Oliver. Please?" I say. He sits up quickly, "Fine, only because you said please." He mumbles, standing up then begins stripping his clothes off.
"Woah- okay!" I exclaim, turning to face the door quickly so Oliver has privacy. "What?" He asks, completely clueless. "It's nothing.." I reply, biting my lip.
I hear him shuffling around behind me as I face the door, ignoring the light pink dusting my cheeks. "Almost done?" I ask him. "Mhmm....you can turn around now." He mutters and I turn around, seeing him cover his lower stomach with his shirt.
"Alright, now you can fall asleep." I tell him, feeling my own eyelids growing heavy. "But that's boring.." he whines but falls back on his bed anyway. "Didn't you want to sleep a minute ago?" I ask, cocking an eyebrow at him. "That was a minute ago.." he mumbles in reply.
I yawn, "C'mon Oliver, it's time for you to sleep." I tell him again. "Are you tired?" He asks, this time without stuttering or slurring his words. "A bit but," I yawn again, "you need to fall asleep before I can." I answer, forcing my eyes open.
He stares at me, his eyes a bit red since he's tired. Then he grins excitedly, "Okay. Anything for you, Iris." He slurs my name then face plants into the pillows once again. "As much as I want you to be, you're not asleep." I say, causing him to groan and sit up. "Come lay with me then..maybe I'll fall asleep faster." He suggests in a bit of a whiny tone.
My eyes shoot open and I stare at him, bewildered. He giggles. Yes, that's right. Oliver just giggled. "Your face is bright red." He points out, poking my cheeks. "You're joking though, right?" I ask. "No, why would I be?" He asks, looking confused. "N-never mind.." I stutter, looking away.
He stares at me for a while then shakes his head. "C'mere." He stutters, grabbing my hand and forcing me onto the bed next to him. Before I could protest, he drapes the covers over us and forces me to lie down.
"Um Oliver-"
He puts an arm around me and pulls me closer to his chest. "Goodnight.." he whispers, a big goofy smile plastered on his face before closing his eyes.
"Oliver-"
"Shh, you need to sleep." Oliver whispers, opening one eye to look at me and then closing it again. I sigh softly. Was I ever getting out of this? I glance at Oliver again. Probably not. I turn my back to his chest, feeling my eyelids grow heavy. Oliver took this as a chance to bury his face into the crook of my neck, near my ear.
"Wanna know a secret?" He whispers. "Sure.." I mutter, barely listening at this point. "I actually have two. One is about you and the other is about the Reaper." He whispers back.
"The Reaper?" I mutter again. My eyelids were refusing to open. "Mhm," he pauses, "the Reaper is-"
I was already asleep before I could hear a name.

...okay so I realize even after this chapter you probably wanna kill me...uh this didn't go as planned
Oops...🤷♀️
Trust me you'll all eventually find out Oliver's two secrets. The one about Iris is obvious though so no need to even say it.

The Trespasser
Synopsis Following his di—instincts, David finds himself in a weird situation; the next thing he knows, he's in a different world, dying, and manhandled by a big-ass alien. When the Source comes to his aid, granting him the access that—like every other sapient—he's due, David barely manages to get out of the fight with his life intact, but is that enough? Of course it isn't. The very Source giving him powers is also poisoning him to death. Oh, there she is, the petite female alien. Will that be enough to save him? Of course it won't. If he wants to be saved, he has first to save himself. The only way to do so is by getting to know the world around him, but even before that... Why the bloody hell did I have to be called Deviant!? *** Blurb? Blurb. The Trespasser starts slowly, I believe I've written a decent world, and I want you to find out what it's all about, won't just throw it in your face because of *levels*. I do not like stories that don't make sense. David is not a murderhobo, he respects life and answers to the world and the weird situations thrown at him with irony and sarcasm; so you are looking for easy killing streaks, you will not find them here. So, a man finds himself into the wild? It's a different world, and yet he can breathe its air? Finds himself in a lucky-low-level zone? Oh, look at that, people speak English—how likely is that? So, nope, not for me, gentleman. You won't find anything of the likes here. Again, a man finds himself in a new world but only thinks about the system? Yeah, that's not exactly how it works. David will try to find out what it's really all about, what the aliens want, how they work, why is that Fay really helping him? You can kill somebody to get levels, and yet there is not even a form of police? Not gonna happen here. Man becomes suddenly overpowered in a world where people can live for thousands of years by having enough luck to face only lower-level people? Hahaha—nope. Lastly...Spaceships and fantasy with LitRPG... say what!? Well, what's wrong with that? Let's make it happen, shall we? *** You want even more info? Really? Alright... David will start from the very bottom of the food chain, so there will be a settling arc—it's inevitable. David will find true companions, with personalities and backstories, and they will have a life of their own. There will be enemies, and those enemies will have a life of their own, too; there will be no evil just because. The world-building will have true depth; it will not exist just because the protagonist visits it. There will be both Fantasy and (Soft) Sci-fi—yeah, you heard that right. There will be rationality to every action taken, as long as the characters are aware of what is going on. There will be a godly system. You will come to read because of the world-building, but you will stay for the characters. The dead stay dead, and you will weep for them. There will be no action without a reaction. Lastly, there will be laughs. Are you still up for it? Then get in but fasten your seatbelts because it's going to be a wild ride. *** Release Days: Twice a week Release Time: ~09:00 PM UTC Words per chapter: ~3000 This web novel is also available on other platforms.
