《Living With My Bully》Ch.18

Hey guys! Sorry I didn't update recently, I'm trying to update more especially because my summer break starts tomorrow. Yay for me, right? Lmao. By the way, this is a filler chapter but it's still interesting. Anyway, enjoy! (Sorry no title)
•••••Oliver's POV•••••
Iris groans once again, sitting on her bed surrounded by books. I'm just casually sitting on her bedroom floor watching her. "Iris, stop pushing yourself so much, get some rest." I tell her, frowning.
"I can't. I have so much work to do and its all due tomorrow." She replies, writing answers on her paper. "Then don't go to school tomorrow-" She coughs harshly, "See? You're even sick. Get some rest." I demand now, standing up and pushing her books away.
"No Oliver, stop! I need to finish!" She exclaims and now its my turn to groan. "Iris.." I whine. "Oliver.." She whines in retaliation.
"What if I do the work for you?" I offer, sitting on her bed beside her. "I wish, but they're going to realize the difference in our handwriting." She says, frowning. "Gosh, I hate school." She complains, roughly hitting her head on my shoulder causing her to wince and rub her head. "Iris, don't do that." I shake my head and gently grab her head and place a kiss on her forehead.
I smile down at her, her face turning red, then I realize what I did. Oh, nice going.... "Oh god.." I pull my hands away, "Sorry, I do that when Ruby hits her head or has a headache." I apologize, knowing that my face is red too. "I-its okay.." She says barely a whisper, smiling up at me, her face still red which was adorable in my eyes.
I quickly say something else to keep the conversation going. "Why don't you at least take a break?" I ask, smiling. "I wish I could but-"
I roll my eyes, "Nope. No buts. You need a break. You've been working almost all day." I argue. "Oliver, I can't- what are you doing?! Stop!" She then giggles as I pick her up and throw her over my shoulder.
"No! Oliver, put me down!" She tries to push me away, though she's laughing and sometimes coughing. "What? What's that? I'm going deaf in that ear." I grin, laughing.
"Put me down!" She shouts in my other ear. "Now I'm just ignoring you." I smirk, knowing it'll piss her off. She groans annoyed.
I pass my mom in the hallway as I carry Iris to the stairs. "Ms. Sullivan, help me!" Iris calls out to my mom for help. I shake my head at my mom and she chuckles, "I think Oliver's going to handle this well. Good luck," My mom says and walks into her room.

"No, come back!" Iris shouts at her and groans when the door closes. "Thanks mom!" I call out to my mom and begin walking downstairs. "Why do I even try?" I hear Iris mutter, sighing softly. "Yeah, I ask myself that sometimes too." I chuckle, continuing to walk downstairs. "Har har, you're hilarious." Iris responds sarcastically. "I know." I reply arrogantly.
We get to the living room and I set Iris down on the couch gently..which she then tries to run away but I'm able to grab her hips and pull her into my chest.
"Oliver..come on..." She whines but can't help but laugh. "You're enjoying this." I smirk. "Pfft..sure." She says and after a minute of me smirking and purposely breathing down her neck, she gives in, "Alright. So what if I am?" She giggles, not even trying to get away anymore.
"I'm trying to play with my dollies, go to a different room." We hear Ruby, who we didn't realize was in the room, say causing us to jump a bit and look at her. She just basically told us to get a room in the most innocent way I've ever heard..wow..
"Ruby, why don't you go play in your room? Iris and I will be down here for a while." I ask Ruby, still holding Iris by my chest by her waist. Ruby sighs, "I don't get any respect, Cherry." Ruby mumbles as she reluctantly goes upstairs to her room.
"Where were we?" I glance down at Iris, "Oh right." I grin, tickling Iris into sitting beside me on the couch, her giggles erupting the silence of the room. I still hold onto her so she won't make a run for it. Iris eventually gives up trying to get away and slumps against the couch. "Fine, you got me. Now what?" She asks.
"We're going to watch a movie. First, we need to get the snacks." I begin standing up and then I glance down at Iris, I help Iris stand up and put my hands on her shoulder, facing her towards the kitchen.
"Um..what are you doing?" She asks confused. "Taking you to the kitchen with me so you won't run." I answer, beginning to walk to the kitchen with her. She sighs, "Even if I ran, you'd be able to catch me." She admits. True.
I still walk with her to the kitchen. "Pick what you want." I tell her, blocking the only exit of the kitchen. Iris groans and walks around, looking in the cabinets. She picks out a bag of popcorn we'll have to microwave, tortilla chips, and some bags of m&ms I bought the other day.

"Nice choices." I nod, chuckling. "Just put the popcorn in the microwave and we'll choose a movie while we're waiting for it." I add. She just nods and puts the bag in the microwave, choosing the popcorn setting and walking over to me.
"Alright, lets go choose a movie." She says and we walk back into the living room with the snacks. "Choose whatever movie you like." I smile at her.
"I'm not really sure.." She mumbles as she passes Now You See Me 2 for like the seventeenth time. I sigh, "Just put it on." I tell her. She looks over at me, "Really?" She smiles. I nod, "If you like it, then yes." I chuckle.
She sits back on the couch. "I do love this movie..my dad and I watched it many times, even the first one. I'm not really sure why it's like my favorite movie, maybe because of Dave Franco. If you didn't know, he's mine." She grins at me. I sigh softly, "How many times do I have to say it? I don't roll that way." I say again causing her to laugh.
"Anyway..it was actually the first movie I watched when I first started living here. It reminded me of my dad and I feel like every time I watch it, he'll be watching with me." She smiles sadly, looking over at me. I was already staring at her which was probably creepy but I listen to her like she listens to me.
We stare into each other's eye and I slowly start to lean in-
Beep!
Beep!
Beep!
That damn microwave....
Iris looks towards the kitchen and stands up. I grab her hand, ready to walk with her but she turns to face me again. "I'm not gonna run, I swear." She smiles, holding her pinkie up as if to prove she wasn't lying. I narrow my eyes at her but nod and let her go.
She walks into the kitchen, leaving me to think. I face palm. What is wrong with me?! She doesn't feel the same. Why would I ever think otherwise?
Iris walks back in with the bowl of popcorn. "Start it please." She says as she sits down, already taking a handful of popcorn and shoving it her mouth. "Of course, your majesty." I snicker, pressing play.
Right before I got comfortable, I stood up and quickly ran upstairs to my room, ignoring Iris calling after me. I grabbed the largest, warmest blanket I could find. Then I ran back down and jumped over the couch to my seat in the corner next to Iris, covering the both of us with a blanket
"Great idea." She grinned and got comfortable under the blanket, snuggling into me at the same time. That's when I felt my heart doing flips in my chest.
I smile and slowly put my arm around her, letting her rest her head on my shoulder. She didn't seem to mind which was great for me!
***************
The movie ended when I heard her soft snores. I didn't even realize that she was lying her head on my chest. I smile warmly, staring down at her.
I take the blanket off of the both of us and manage to pick Iris up bridal style from the position we were in.
....God that sounds wrong...
I shake my head and begin walking upstairs. My mom, who was cleaning the bathroom upstairs, looks out the bathroom door and smiles at me.
"I put all of her books and such on the floor so you can lay her down on the bed." She says. "Thanks mom..how'd you know she was asleep?" I ask, walking into Iris's room. "Well you didn't hear me, but I came downstairs to get water, Iris was sleeping already when I went down." She replies. I just nod and lay Iris down on her bed, smiling down at her once more before turning away from her and to her books.
"What about her homework she didn't finish?" My mom asks, wiping down the mirror. I look at all the books on the floor, "I'll take care of it." I sigh, picking up her things. This will be a long night..
