"I believe you," his voice was soft. "But how did you get away?"

"I spit in her face and dodged her groupies."

"Smart," he backed away from me. His face held a softness to it that I had never seen. Was it because the girl he loves tried to rip his jersey off of his fake girlfriend and he was playing cool but he really didn't believe his fake girlfriend?

"Let's just go to lunch," I grabbed his hand softly. I started the walk to the lunch room.

"We have like fifteen minutes to eat."

"Who said I couldn't eat in that amount of time? I don't even eat the cafeteria food."

"You know you can't eat in that time. You're such a slow eater," Jack laughed from behind me.

"I can't help that," I playfully glared back at him.

"Sure," Jack rolled his eyes playfully.

We arrived at the cafeteria and instantly sat down in our seat. Everyone looked at us expectantly. "Uh hi."

A bunch of heys came back until the line reached Sophia. "Why the hell were you two so late?"

"Well you see, I got pushed around by Ellie while this one waited at my locker, worried to death."

"Y/n! What did Ellie do?" Ally had growing anger in her eyes. It showed through her frown.

"She pushed me against the sink and threatened to rip Jack's jersey. I got scared and spit in her face. I ran past her groupies and now I'm here," I hugged onto myself. I then felt a pair of arms sneak around my waist and grab my hands.

I grabbed the pair of hands back, knowing they were Jack's. Sophia's eyes were wide. Ally had a look on her face that could kill if she thought hard enough.

"I can't believe she actually seemed nice," Sophia stuffed a chip into her mouth with a grimace.

"She's always seemed bitchy to me," Ally rolled her eyes.

Most of the guys stayed silent. I didn't blame them though. They barely knew me. For all they know I could be lying to get on Jack's good side. I can only hope they have more faith in me.

"Okay, that aside how is everyone's day so far?" I asked. The other conversation was probably making Jack uncomfortable since he loved Ellie. I mentally sighed at the boy's ignorance.

"You're too cute," Jack whispered his words in my ear. His breath on my neck made the hairs stand up. A light blush dusted my cheeks at his words. I gave his hands an acknowledging squeeze.

"Not so good after what you told us," Jaeden sighed from his position.

"I didn't ruin the fun you all were having did I? Jesus, I'm sorry," my eyebrows furrowed in guilt. I just come in here and ruin their, probably happy, conversations.

"Nah it's okay. We were just talking about how worried Jack was for you anyway," Finn gave me a soft smile.

"You sure?"

"Positive," he nodded his head, curls bobbing.

"Don't worry so much," Jack whispered more words in my ear. I decided to see how he liked it.

"You have to stop doing that," I whispered the words in his ear. A smirk formed on his lips.

"Sexy whisper voice. But why should I?" he challenged in a whisper.

"It tickles. Remember what I said about tickling?"

"Awe come on," he rolled his eyes and sighed. "Yeah."

"Good. I hope you feel bad now," when I pulled away from his ear I stuck my tongue out at him.

His lips grew into a pout. I giggled and kissed his cheek. He instantly cheered up. His face grew into an adorable smile.

"You're adorably stupid," I giggled and rested my head on his shoulder.

"I just got a step closer to a kiss on the lips," his eyes twinkled with something close to excitement.

"Stop being cute!" Finn yelled across the table. Sophia gave him a glare. We laughed and continued with all our conversations.

I yawned as Jack and me started the walk to the outside Football field. "Tired?"

"A little," I gave him a small smile.

"Want a piggy back ride?" he suggested with a smile.

"You'd give me a piggy back ride?" my eyes twinkled with excitement. I haven't had a piggyback ride in forever.

"Yeah," he nodded and got into a stance I could jump onto him from.

I pulled my phone out of my pocket and pulled up my Instagram. I cropped the picture of me and Jack and added a black and white filter. I showed Jack every time I made a change. He would just nod and agree with what I'd done to the photo. I posted the picture and put my phone back up in my pocket.

Mine 💞

I cuddled into Jack's neck and tightened my arms around his chest. His arms tightened on my thighs, making me jump a little. "You have squishy thighs."

"Thanks? Is that a compliment?"

"Yeah. They're nice," he squeezed them again.

"Hey! Don't say that or do that again," I pulled one of his curls.

"Does it turn you on or something?"

"No it just makes me uncomfortable so don't do it please."

"Okay okay," he let go of my legs, making my legs fall while my arms were still around his chest.

"Jack!" I detached my arms from his chest and fell fully onto my butt.

"Are you okay? I forgot I was holding you. I wanted to put my hands up," he offered me his hand to help me up.

"Yes I'm okay," I laughed a little and took his hand. He pulled me up onto my feet and pulled me into his arms.

"Sorry," he mumbled, pushing a piece of my hair behind my ear.

"I already said it was okay," I smiled at him and pulled away from his hold.

"I know, I just want you to know that I really mean it since I don't usually seem like the type to mean something," we started walking to the field again.

"Well then I appreciate it. I like to believe that you usually speak the truth around me though," I grabbed his hand.

"Y'know you're really good at this fake girlfriend thing," he gave my hand a gentle squeeze. "Have you ever had a real boyfriend?"

"No why? And I like to think I'm pretty good at fake girlfriending," I giggled and brought our intertwined hands to my face, kissing his hand.

When we made it to the field he left my side and went to the locker room after kissing my cheek. I went to the bleachers and sat down by myself. I got onto my phone and played random games. I didn't notice when Ally and Sophia both had seated themselves beside me.

Only when I lifted my head to see if Jack had left the locker room, I saw the ginger and brunette. They randomly screamed and tackled me in a hug. I laughed and hugged them back.

"Why are you two here?" I asked as they pulled away from the embrace.

"We saw Ellie make her way over here with her groupies so we decided to come be your body guards," Ally stated with determination lacing her words.

"Ah. Are you exactly sure if you'll actually be able to protect me?" I questioned them.

"Of course your elder will protect you from the monster," Sophia grabbed both of us by the shoulders and brought our faces close, squishing our cheeks together.

"Oh great elder Sophia how do you plan on protecting us?" Ally asked in a mock serious voice.

"I plan on slaping the monster with my elder hand if she lays a finger on my two favorite adolescents," she let us go from her tight cheek hold.

I scooted towards the edge of the bleachers. "I feel so much safer now that I have elder Sophia to protect me."

"You should," Sophia nodded her head at me. "Now children would you like anything from the food place?"

"A water please," I answered with a nod.

"I'd like a water too," Ally held money out from where she sat. Sophia was standing, about to go to the food stall. Sophia waved Ally's hand away.

"It's on me," she then started going down the steps. "Elder Sophia coming through!"

I shook my head at her choice of words to tell people to move. "That girl."

"She's definitely something. But you got to love her," Ally grinned at me.

"You know it!" Sophia yelled from halfway to the food stall.

I watched the locker room door for Jack. I know he might not even come out until the game starts but I was cold and wanted to ask for a jacket. Ally threw her jacket at me.

"Why'd you throw me this?"

"You're cold."

"How did you know I was cold," I tilted my head and wrapped her jacket around me without sticking my arms where they were supposed to be put.

"You're literally shivering."

My eyes widened, "I didn't even feel that cold."

"Well you must've been that cold."

"I'm back bitches," Sophia threw us our waters. I struggled to catch the cold bottle while she sat down with her soda and candy.

"Thanks," I mumbled after officially catching my water bottle.

"Mhm," she was already stuffing her face with sour straws.

"Are those sour straws?" Ally asked from Sophia's other side.

"Yeah. What's it to you?" Sophia answered through stuffed cheeks.

"I want one," Ally grabbed a sour straw and stuffed it in her mouth before Sophia could react.

"Awe dang. You want one Y/n?"

"Sure," I shrugged and grabbed a straw. I ate the sour goodness and wiped my hand on my pants.

"You're so very sanitary," Sophia commented on my choice of a napkin.

"Thanks."

"What did she do?" Ally peeked her head around Sophia's body.

"Used her pants as a napkin," Sophia replied.

"Ah. Just don't use my jacket as a napkin," Ally stated.

"Okay," I rolled my eyes at her.

Sudden music started playing and we saw the cheerleaders start to file out of the girls locker room. The boys came behind as the girls formed a cheer line. I spotted Ellie in the midst of the cheerleaders. She made eye contact with me and smirked.

The boys huddled up and did their thing. They ran through the middle of the cheerleaders as they did a certain cheer. I watched Jack as he came through. Ellie ran her hand along his thigh as he ran past her. Anger raged through my veins. The anger quickly dispersed as Jack gave me a soft smile. I smiled back and he continued his way.

I watched the game and cheered for our team. At some point Ally's coat had fallen off my shoulders and cupped my lower back. She grabbed her jacket back and wrapped it around herself.

When half-time came around Ellie made it to me before Jack could. Since I was so close to the edge of the bleachers and I was staring at Jack as he slowly came towards me, Ellie was able to push me forward. I fell into the person in front of me.

"Sorry!" I instantly jumped away from them. The person that looked at me was Keith. "Woah, you're here."

"Ellie! Wait until I get my hands on you!" Ally screamed at Ellie.

"Uh yeah. Are you okay?" he helped me straighten myself.

"Yeah. It's just Ellie," I rubbed my arm.

"Is she giving you a hard time because of Jack?"

"Maybe. I don't really know," as the lie seeped through my lips I gave Keith a shy smile. Then Jack came, water bottle in hand.

"Are you okay?" he stood by the side of the bleachers.

"Yeah," I smiled at him.

He grabbed my hand and took a sip from his water. "Hi random person. Who are you?"

"Name's Keith, I'm just Y/n's friend," he shook free hands with Jack.

"Name's Jack. Nice to meet you dude," Jack gave a small nod to Keith.

"Same to you," he turned back around and Jack turned to me.

"Did Ellie push you into that Keith guy?" he asked me.

"Yeah, but I'm okay."

"As long as you're okay. Did I look sexy playing?" he asked with a smug look on his face.

"So sexy," I exaggerated.

"Awe am I that ugly?"

"Nah. You're adorably you," I stuck my tongue out at him.

"Thanks. You too are adorably you," he replied, rubbing circles on my hand with his thumb.

"Thanks," I winked and giggled.

"Your giggle is the most adorable thing in the world."

"I agree. Now go back to your game," I let go of his hand and pushed him towards the other football players.

"Love you too," he winked at me before leaving. I rolled my eyes and turned to the girls. They both had smirks on their faces.

"Aren't you two just the cutest?" Sophia teased.

"y/s/n/j [ship name with Jack] is sailing," Ally giggled.

"Oh y/s/n/j is so cute I might just die," I mocked both of them, waving my hands beside me in mock excitement.

"You did so good," I ruffled Jack's curls from my spot on his back. They had won by twenty points.

"Thanks," he offered a smile over his shoulder.

"No problem babe," I winked at him. He rolled his eyes, a warm smile on his lips.

"When I felt like I was going to lose I just looked at you and wanted to play better."

"You're such a liar and that's so cheesy," I giggled.

"But you liked the thought."

"Keep dreaming pretty boy," I kissed his head.

"Oh trust me, I will."

"You're so stupid."

"You love my stupid," he smirked at me.

I sighed, "if you want to believe that."

He dropped me off at my house. I gave him his jersey back, grabbed my bag out of the back of his car, and went inside my house.

"Back!" I yelled to my Mom.

I ran up stairs and threw my bag down. I got my cloths and went to take a shower. After my shower I got dressed and put my dirty cloths up. I brushed my hair and laid down on my bed, cuddling into my pillow.

"Dinner!"

I went downstairs and ate with my Mom. After having conversations about the game, school, and Jack I went back upstairs. I laid down on my bed and got onto my phone.

I had a notification for Instagram. I saw that it was Jack's and he had tagged me in a photo. I'm guessing it was the one I posted earlier. I clicked on the notification and it took me to the picture.

I smiled to myself and plugged my phone in. I cuddled into my body pillow and let my eyes close peacefully. I was soon asleep, clinging onto my body pillow.
