Jack and I talked for most of the night until our Mom's wore each other out and had nothing left to talk about. Surprisingly me and Jack didn't run out of things to talk about. They were mostly random things but they were still words.

The next day Jack picked me up from my house, a smile on his face. I got into his car and as soon as I shut the passenger door he backed out of my diveway.

"Can you stay after school for my football practice?" Jack asked me as soon as we were on the road.

"Sure. Why do you want me there?"

"I want you to see how good I am."

"Cocky as always, I see," I glanced at the smirking boy.

"You know it."

We continued on our way, the conversation drifting to random topics. We got onto the topic of Ellie somehow. He talked about her like she was something special. She was playing with his feelings. He's played with girl's feelings, yes, but he didn't know what it was like himself. He couldn't save himself from something he didn't know was happening.

Soon we got to the school and we climbed out of the car. Everyday we got out of the car people would stare. It made me uneasy but Jack was popular so I always dismissed it. Today though, more people seemed to stare. Looking at me just as much as Jack.

Usually people would ignore the fact that I was with him, knowing that he got girlfriends every other week it seemed. Today it didn't seem like I was getting ignored though.

"Jack?" I looked to my side at the curly haired male. I think he saw my uneasiness in my eyes, his growing concern.

"What's wrong?"

"I think people are staring at me," I met eyes with one girl who almost looked disgusted at me.

"Don't they do that normally?"

"They usually ignore my presence," I looked back towards him.

"Just ignore them."

"That's hard to do when one of them just looked disgusted."

"Which one?" he subtly looked around at the people staring.

"The girl with the blonde hair and green, very revealing, shirt," I slightly hid behind his shoulder as I made eye contact with the girl.

"She does look disgusted. She's staring right at you," he looked down at me, continuing into the school building.

"I don't look completely disgusting do I?" I looked down at my body. I felt his finger bring my face back up.

"You look completely perfect," I stared straight into those puppy dog eyes. A small smile formed on my lips at his words.

"Thank you."

"Don't thank me for the truth," he let his finger down and continued walking.

I blinked a few times before going forward to follow him. Our lockers were close to each other's so it worked. Ally was usually waiting at my locker for me. That's when me and Jack would split up and he'd go with his group of friends.

"Bye," Jack waved as he went to his locker and I went towards mine.

"Hi," I greeted Ally, opening my locker up.

"Hey," she glanced towards Jack's group and then looked at the ground.

"What's wrong?" I asked, grabbing my materials.

"Ellie. She's told people that you're a jealous bitch," Ally glanced back at the group of popular boys. I followed her line of sight to see Ellie making out with a random boy very close to Jack's group.

"And she's not a whore?" I scoffed, finishing up in my locker. I closed the locker door and slammed my back into it.

"You okay?" Ally gazed into my eyes with big brown concerned ones.

"I'm fine. I just don't understand why people would take her side in calling me a jealous bitch. They look at me in disgust Ally. Disgust."

"I know it isn't fair. She's a whore and shouldn't be trusted but people make bad decisions all the time. She's a bad decision," Ally gave me a reassuring smile.

"Ally, Jack liked her. He actually did. I feel like he'd get back with her if he had the chance," I glanced at Jack who had his fist clenched, a fake smile, and a side glance on Ellie. "And I think I need to help him."

"Y/n I know you just want to help him but he can't really be helped," Ally looked over at him and saw what shape he was in. "On second thought..."

I quickly walked over to Jack and his group. I walked up right in front of Jack and grabbed both sides of his face. He had a very confused look on his face. I could tell he was still angry too.

"You really like Ellie right?"

"Yeah."

"It hurts to see that right?" his eyes drifted onto Ellie making out with the guy.

"Yeah," his eyes flicked to my lips and back to my eyes.

"If you'd like I can kiss your cheek and make it look like it was the lips from her side," his brown eyes flicked back onto my lips.

"That won't get her jealous enough," he looked back up to my eyes.

"I can't kiss you on the lips. That'll be weird."

"What if it's a good weird?" he smirked down at me.

"It won't be," I stated looking at his lips. They actually looked really soft.

"Do I have permission to kiss?" he raised an eyebrow.

"Can't do that. Not unless we're dating."

"Then can we date?"

"Fake date?"

"That's what it would be," Jack playfully smirked at me. "But of course we would do all the things regular people dating would. Like kiss..."

"I mean yeah. That would be the only way to make her jealous. Sure, I'll be your fake girlfriend," I smiled up at him.

"Now do I have permission to kiss?"

"Nope," I started walking away, making sure to swing my hips in the process as to tease Jack.

Even if we weren't actually dating I still wanted to be a tease. That boy was going to end up stealing my first kiss. I at least get to tease him.

"Wait!" Jack went over to me and grabbed my hips. For a second I thought he was going to kiss me but all he ended up doing was whispering in my ear. "You can't tell anyone."

His warm breath sent shivers down my spine. "What about Ally?"

"If you completely, one-hundred percent, trust her not to tell anyone, then you can," I looked up into his hypnotic brown eyes and nodded.

He kissed my cheek and let go of my hips. He winked at me then returned to his group. I turned back around and went over to Ally. Her mouth was hung in an 'o' shape.

"Did he ask you out or...?" she glanced towards Jack and then back to me.

"It's fake. To make Ellie jealous," I made sure to whisper my answer to her.

"I don't think that's a good idea," Ally shook her head and crossed her arms. "You'll get hurt."

"Jack is my best friend besides you. He wouldn't hurt me."

"Yeah but when he breaks it off because Ellie likes him again, you'll be heartbroken.

Jack has this way with girls," we started walking to our classes.

"I won't fall for him. Don't worry."

"You saying that doesn't change the fact that you will fall in love with him and you will get hurt."

"I promise you, I'll be fine," I gave her a smile to reassure her.

"If you say so," she looked back and then forward again. I can only assume her gaze caught Jack. "Oh he's watching you leave. Hey, it worked! He's not focused on Ellie anymore," Ally shook my arm with an excited sparkle in her eyes.

"Geez, calm down," I giggled and lightly shook her from my arm.

"What if you can shake him from that skank?"

"As if. He would like her over me any day," we started walking up the stairs.

"You're so much prettier than her that it physically pains me to see him so blind to that fact. You're new virgin meat for him anyway."

"Hey!" I smacked her arm. "And I'm not pretty."

"Have you even looked in the mirror a day in your life?"

"Yes and I don't see where you're coming from."

"Just shut up and agree with me."

"Whatever," I rolled my eyes.

"Don't roll your eyes at me. It's rude."

"You're rude," she reached over and pinched my side.

"Ow," I hissed in pain.

"I didn't even pinch you that hard. Drama queen," she was the one that rolled her eyes this time.

"Don't roll your eyes at me. It's rude," I quoted her.

"Oh shush."

We made it to our homeroom class before the bell rung and took our seats. I was feeling wide awake but I wanted to be tired. I would've done anything to be asleep right now.

My boring classes went on, Ally only being in homeroom. Ellie was in one of my classes but I went by without being noticed. I got up and quickly went to lunch.

When I got to the lunchroom Ally came up to me. "How were your classes?"

"Fine. Ellie was in one but I don't think she noticed," we got into the lunch line.

"She's going to notice one day," Ally gave me a worried glance.

"I won't let her do anything to me. Don't you worry your pretty little head," I rubbed her head, considering she was shorter than me.

"Don't rub me. I'm not a cat," she huffed and crossed her arms.

I giggled and got my food. "Yes, but you act like one. I'm not completely convinced that you aren't a cat yet, honestly."

"What? How do I act like a cat?"

"You rub against me quite a lot and sometimes, you might not notice, but you purr."

"I purr?" her eyes widened.

"Yep, 'tis a sad truth."

"Shut up, Shakespeare."

I giggled and waited for her to finish getting her food. She came up to my side and we took off towards our table. I sat in my seat and she sat beside me. I looked around for the other person in our friend group but couldn't seem to find them. Just as I turned around she were right in front of us.

"Heyo Sophia," I smiled at her as she sat down across from me.

"Heyo," she sighed as she leaned back in her chair. "What's happening with you and Jack?"

"What have you heard about us?" I raised an eyebrow.

"Well," she sat up straight and clapped her hands together. "I've heard that you were a jealous bitch that Jack took over Ellie anyway."

"Welp. Only one of those is right," I held a finger up.

"You and Jack are together?" Sophia's eyes widened.

"Well, yeah..." I rubbed my arm and looked over at Ally. She gave me a threatening look. I gave her a glare back. I looked back at Sophia and sighed. "It's a fake relationship but you can't tell anybody."

"Why do you have a fake relationship with Jack?" Sophia raised an eyebrow at me.

"To get Ellie jealous," her eyes widened at my sentence.

"Why would he want to make her jealous?"

"Because he actually liked her."

I felt a presence beside me so I turned my head a little. My eyes locked with a pair of brown ones. I noticed the freckles under the person's eyes and noticed them as Jack.

"Hey, what's up?" I leaned my head onto his shoulder and grabbed his hand.

"I was wondering if you could come sit with me. Your friends can come too, I just want you to meet my friends," he smiled down at me and gave my hand a squeeze.

"Sure. Want to come guys?" I looked over at the two girls to see them shrug. We all got up and went to his table of friends.

"There's only three open seats," I raised an eyebrow at Jack.

He motioned for Sophia and Ally to sit down with their lunches. After they sat down he grabbed my lunch and slid it beside his. He sat down in the seat and pulled me onto his lap. Jack's arms wrapped around my waist. A blush spread over my face at the closeness.

"This is my girlfriend and her two friends," Jack rested his head on my shoulder. We got numerous "hi's" and "how are you's" from the group of boys.

"I'm Chosen," one of the guys spoke up. He waved to us from across the table. Out of the boys at the table I only knew Jaeden and Finn. Jack asked me to come with him to hang out one day with him, Jaeden, and Finn. I waved back to the Chosen guy.

"I'm Jeremy," another spoke. He was sitting next to Chosen.

"And I'm Wyatt."

I waved to all of them with a small smile on my face. I turned on Jack's lap to face him. I kissed his nose and turned back around quickly so he couldn't kiss mine.

"Get a room," Finn stated, rolling his eyes. I stuck my tongue out at him.

"You're just jealous I get to kiss him publicly."

"I would if Jack would let me," Finn crossed his arms with a huff.

"Dude that's a secret," Jack spoke from my shoulder.

"Hey! You're mine," I turned around and hit his chest. If we wanted people to believe that we were a couple I had to play the part.

"Why are you two so cute?" Sophia looked over at us.

"Actually though," Ally crossed her arms. "It isn't fair."

"No one can beat our cuteness," I giggled and pushed Jack's cheek up to mine, making our faces look smushed.

"No one can beat your cuteness," Jack mumbled from beside my face, voice contorted from being squished next to my face.

I rolled my eyes as the whole group formed hearts with their fingers. Jaeden turned around and made kissy sounds as he ran his hands along his back.

"You're doing it wrong Jaeden. It's more of a running hands through the hair," Finn nudged Jaeden. Jaeden's hands went up to his hair and started running through it. The group laughed at Jaeden's teasing. When Jaeden turned back around with messy hair we all laughed harder.

I started to eat some of the school food on my plate. With school food you really have to inspect your food.

"What are you doing?" Wyatt looked at me confused as I inspected my fruit cup.

"I have to check for hairs or bugs or something nasty. School food is toxic," I continued searching for nasty things in my fruit cup.

I heard some giggles close to the table before I felt my fruit cup smash into my face. The juice went up my nose as I had been inhaling when the fruit cup smashed into my face. The cold juice soaked my clothes.

I jumped up from Jack's lap, coughing from the inhale of juice. I could still see since the juice hadn't gotten in my eyes. The hand that smashed my cup into my face was definitely not Jack's. I reached for the napkins on the table and blew the juice from my nose, still coughing.

"What the fuck Ellie?" Ally's voice was heard.

"Leave before I fucking beat the shit out of you bitch," Sophia spoke from beside Ally, both of them coming to my defence.

When I felt okay to speak again and knew I didn't have anything on my face I turned to look at Ellie. "Nah it's fine. I don't want you two to have to deal with a jealous bitch."

"Why don't you just leave Ellie? You and Jack aren't together anymore. You broke up with him if you haven't noticed. You shouldn't even be interacting with me or him. I don't care how much torment you try to put me through. Jack is mine."

Ellie's face got red with anger. She threw the empty fruit cup at me and sent a glare. She turned back to her friend group and sloppily slung her hips as she walked away from us.

I heard claps from behind me. I turned back to the group and they gradually stopped. I gave them a smile and wiped my clothes slightly.

"Can't sit back down and get you wet can I?" I looked at Jack and leaned on the table.

"I don't mind."

"I do. You would look like you just peed yourself," I rolled my eyes and started to clean the mess that Ellie made.

"Sit down," I looked over my shoulder at Jack. "It's my fault she did that to you. Let me clean this up," I nodded slightly and switched places with him.

"Come get some of my extra locker clothes," Sophia stood from her seat and motioned for me to follow.

I got up along with Ally and we went to Sophia's locker. She gave me a change of clothes and led me to the bathroom. I got into a stall and changed my clothes.

"The nerve of that girl," Ally snarled.

I came out of the stall and threw my wet clothes onto the sink counter. I rinsed my hands and face with water and turned to them.

"If I were you, Y/n, I wouldn't be doing this." Sophia put a hand on my shoulder.

"I'm doing it because I care about Jack. I don't care what she does. He's my best friend. I want to make him happy."
