Jack Dylan Grazer. Popular, handsome, athletic. He's a lot of things that run in the 'perfect guy' stereotype. But most of all he's a man whore.

Somehow this man whore ended up being my neighbor. His mother and my mother seemed to hit it off well, so they come over for dinner at least once a week.

They were the first people we were introduced to after moving into our new house. I wouldn't have known that Jack was a man whore but of course we went to the same school and the first girl I met warned me about him.

That girl became my best friend shortly after we got to know each other. Apparently Jack cheated on her after the third day of their dating. The girl he cheated on her with is named Ellie. My friend's name is Ally.

Ellie was basically the popular girl who was viewed as a queen. Really though she was a whore like Jack. They have been cheating on each other for as long as they've been dating. Ellie's followers knew about both sides and people suspect Ellie does too.

If I had known about the side of Jack I was introduced to in school when I first met him, maybe I wouldn't have let him make casual flirty comments towards me or let him sit on my bed and play video games with me while our moms made conversation downstairs. Maybe we wouldn't have become such good friends. Unfortunately though, we did.

We met when I was going into 8th and he was going into his freshman year. Now, I'm in my Junior year and Jack's in his Senior. He started to drive me to school as soon as he'd gotten his license his sophomore year.

"Y/n," my attention was snatched from my head as soon as my Mom's voice rang through my room. She was leaning against my door frame.

"Yes?" I stood from my bed and walked over to her.

"Jack and his Mom are coming over for dinner in an hour."

"Okay," I wrapped my arms around her waist, hugging her. I always liked hugs. They gave me a feeling of warmth.

We rocked back and forth in the hug for a small bit of time before she had to go cook. I walked out of my room, deciding to go on a walk until Jack got here. I slowly walked down the stairs and to the front door.

"I'm going for a walk," I called into the house, my hand pressed against the cold metal of the doorknob.

"Okay. Be back before 6:00 or I'll come find you myself!"

I walked out of the door and into the cold air outside. My hoodies warmth started to wrap around my frame, protecting my skin from the air. I started to walk along the pavement, looking at all of the sights.

The grass wasn't quite dead yet, it's green starting to fade into a light brown. The leaves of the trees were starting to grow light shades of orange with hints of yellow. The sky was a soft blue, dotted with a few clouds here and there.

The people around me were either talking to someone or walking with their head down, hiding from the world. A few were talking of my school. I recognized some of the voices along with the faces. I wasn't very popular at school except for with the girls that tried to get close to Jack through me, so I earned no more than a side glance.

As I walked past a playground I got the urge to swing. I walked over to the swings, settling into one. I pushed my feet off the ground, gently launching the swing into function. I watched all the different people go by as I got higher. I noticed a couple start to come towards the playground. I saw Jack's curly brown hair and almost fell out of my swing. Is he with Ellie?

I strained to see if the girl had Ellie's dark hair. The girl was in fact Ellie and I noticed that she was looking directly at me as she talked to Jack. They went to the slides and as Jack sat down she talked some more and then started to walk my way.

In an attempt to run away before she made it to me I tried to stop my swing. As soon as my swing came to a stop Ellie was right in front of me, hands on both chains, trapping me in my seat.

"Hello," Ellie started conversation.

"Hi. Why'd you find an interest in coming over here when you have Jack over there?" I threw my gaze onto Jack before looking back at her.

"I wanted to ask a question."

"This question is?"

"Why does Jack drive you to school. Don't you have a car?" she stared into my eyes, digging into my soul with those deep brown eyes.

"We're best friends. Our Mom's kind of forced us into that but we just let it happen," I searched for an escape route. I firmly wrapped my hands around the chains.

"Stop being best friends. I don't want you near him," she glared at me before pushing herself off the swing chains. Before she left she swiftly snaked her arms around my legs, flipping me into the cold wood chips.

"You have no right to tell Jack who he can and can't be friends with. You have no right to tell me either. You both sneak out and cheat on each other anyway," I rolled my eyes after picking myself up from the wood chips. She quickly turned around and glared at me again. "You don't even deserve to be Jack's girlfriend."

Yes, Jack was a man whore but he was also very sweet. He doesn't treat girls right but he can be sweet. He's the friend who would bring you tissues and ice cream if you felt bad. He would sneak out of his house at night and come through your window if he really had to.

"You're just jealous that I'm not the ugly piece of trash that you are. You probably don't even have friends other then Jack. Once I'm done with him you won't have any friends. You'll be living in that dumpster you call home all alone," with that she walked away, back to Jack.

I stood there, no words coming from my mouth. I wanted to punch her in the jaw. I wanted to talk some sense into Jack for even being with that slut. But I couldn't. I couldn't bring myself to do anything but let a tear slip out.

I looked down at my phone through blurred eyes, trying to make out the time. I didn't want to go home but it was 5:48 and my Mom would be mad if I didn't get there before six. I had to get Jack away from her. I looked back up to see Ellie push Jack and walk away. Jack yelled something and got up, looking frustrated.

I ran up to Jack after pulling some of the wood chips out of my hair and wiping some of the tears from my eyes. "What happened?"

He looked even more upset up close. "Ellie just broke up with me. Something about you being a jealous bitch..."

My eyes widened upon hearing what Ellie had called me. "I'm not, I promise. She said I was jealous because she wasn't an ugly piece of trash like I am."

Jack pushed past me with a hand rubbing his temple. "Save it."

"Have I ever been jealous of any slut you do?" I walked along side him, forcing him to listen to me.

"No but Ellie's different."

I stopped in my tracks. "Oh my God. You actually liked her."

Jack turned to look at me, his face pained. "Yes, I did. Is that so hard to believe?"

"Yes, actually. You liked her Jack. She broke up with you."

"Don't rub it in!"

"Sorry, I wasn't trying to."

I noticed how hurt he looked. He really liked her. That wasn't normal for him. I reached for his hand and quickly grabbed it. I wanted to give him a hug but we had started walking again.

"Why hold my hand?" Jack side glanced in my direction, giving my hand a squeeze.

"You need some kind of comfort and I can't hug you if we're moving."

"Fine."

We walked up to my house hand in hand. I let go of his hand first before entering the house. We had made it to my house about seven minutes early. I dragged Jack up to my room and pushed him in the door.

"Sit down," I pointed towards my bed. I scanned the room, looking for any loose bras that he could spot. Once I saw there were none I turned back to him.

"What, are you going to straddle me?" Jack teased, but I could still tell he was still upset.

"No now scoot over," I pushed his leg to the side and sat next to him.

I gently wrapped my arms around him, pulling him into me. His head was low enough for me to run my fingers through his curly locks. I rubbed his hair and back as we sat there. He was being quiet for a bit of time before shakely speaking.

"Why are you so good to me when you know I'm so bad?"

"Because you were my friend before I met the popular jerk side of you. I believe you are good," I softly smiled down at him even though he couldn't see it.

He sighed and limply laid his head on my lap. "I'm really not."

"Don't argue with me on this," I ruffled his hair and fell backwards onto my back.

"It's true," he insisted, head still on my lap.

"No it's not," I lightly smacked his curls.

"What was that for?" he moved his hand to his head like my fake smack hurt.

"Stop saying you're bad. You're not bad, you're just a man whore," I started to run my fingers through his curls again.

"But you love this man whore," I felt him smirk against my leg.

I sighed, "I love this man whore."

"Dinner!" my Mom called up to Jack and I.

"Coming!" I yelled back from my spot on the bed.

Jack had ended up falling asleep on my lap. He moved onto his back and looked up at me with one eye open.

"Feel better?"

"Much. You make me happy after all," he smirked up at me. I rolled my eyes playfully, a smile playing across my lips.

I slipped my hand behind his back and lightly pushed him up. I stood and let him fall back onto my bed with an oof.

"Didn't have to drop me," he laid there with his eyes closed again. I pulled my shirt straight and leaned against my bed with my knees.

"We gotta go eat," I smacked his leg, pushing my knees up. Before I could get away he yanked me down into his chest. "Jack I'm being serious!"

I laughed as he snuggled my hair. I pinched his side and he instantly let go of me. I rolled off of him the wrong way sending me to the floor beside the bed. I was laughing as I laid still on the floor. Jack's head popped up from the bed to look down at me.

"You okay?" he asked, chuckling at my mishap.

"Yeah," I giggled and got up.

We walked downstairs together, him behind me. Our Mom's looked up from their conversation. The plates were set on the table. The kitchen smelled of the food they had made while me and Jack were relaxed upstairs.

"You two are very loud up there," my Mom smirked at me from where she stood. She wanted me to get together with Jack. Apparently both of them did. I saw Jack's Mom wink at him.

"Oh, you know. Us being stupid," I nudged Jack and walked past my Mom to get to the fridge.

"That's just you," Jack stated, walking up to the fridge behind me.

"Water?"

"Yeah," I handed him a water bottle and got one for myself.

We got our food and sat at the table. Jack sat beside me, our Mom's in front of us. I opened my water and took a sip of it.

"What have you two been laughing about up there?" I almost spit my water out at how nosy they were.

"Y/n falling off her bed," Jack nudged me in the ribs like I had done to him before.

"That was because of you," I giggled after swallowing the water in my mouth that so desperately wanted to escape.

I saw the Mom's exchange an excited look. I rolled my eyes and let out a snort. I covered my nose in an attempt to cover up the disgusting noise that came from me. Jack started laughing and I poked his side with my elbow.

"Pig," my Mom said, shoving her fork of food into her mouth.

"So mean," I held a hand up to my heart in mock hurt.

"It's what you sounded like," Jack's Mom chimed in.

"I feel so attacked."

I looked over at Jack for support. Jack was just laughing his ass off beside me. My people actually hate me.

"I hate you all," I glared around the table at each individual.

"Love you too!" they chimed in unison.

I huffed and started to stuff my face with food. They all calmed down and continued with normal conversation.

"How are you and Ellie doing?" my Mom looked at Jack as the words left her mouth.

"Mom!" I hissed, throwing my gaze onto Jack to see his reaction to the question. He looked awkward and a little upset again.

"What?" she looked to Jack's Mom for support. Jack's Mom shrugged and continued eating. Jack and his Mom were bad at emotional support.

I placed my hand on Jack's back and glanced towards my Mom. "Ellie and him are no longer together."

"Oh, I'm so sorry Jack," my Mom had an apologetic smile spread on her lips.

"It's fine," Jack continued to eat but I could notice the sadness in his eyes. He really did love her.

Everyone continued talking, no more awkwardness in the air. Of course I was going to check on Jack after we go back upstairs. Our Moms would probably talk until 12 in the morning anyway.

After I finished eating I excused myself and went to the sink. I rinsed my plate and set it into the dish washer. Jack appeared beside me, doing the same thing I had done.

"You okay?" I asked him, looking at the floor and messing with my hoodie sleeve.

"Yeah," I heard his footsteps heading out of the Kitchen. "You coming? I can't really disappear into your room alone without seeming creepy."

"You seem creepy at school all the time though," I giggled as I walked past him towards the stairs.

"Thanks," I could hear the eyeroll in his voice.

"Aw, no problem baby," I looked back at him and stuck my tongue out at him.

I heard him chuckle after I turned back around. I got into my bedroom and jumped onto my bed stomach first. I felt Jack sit on my back making it hard to breathe. I took in a wheezy breath from under him.

"How much do you weigh? It hurts," I started to wheezy laugh from under him and started coughing because of the loss of breath.

"I don't weigh that much," Jack hopped off me, checking to see if I was alright.

I sat up and took heavy breaths. "Note to self; don't let Jack sit on you or you might die."

"I'm not that big," Jack looked down with a huff.

I giggled and pulled him into my bed beside me. "I know. You're perfectly small."

"Is that supposed to be a complement?" he laughed.

"The best complement I could give you," I laid on my side towards him.

"I'm only good in that I'm perfectly small? That doesn't sound like a complement."

"Did you take that the wrong...Jack stop."

"Nope."

"You're an ass."

"That a complement too?"

"I hate you," I giggled and hit his chest lightly.

"Thanks," he rolled his eyes, a smile across his lips.

"Can I get a complement?" I asked, looking at him with innocent eyes.

"You are one of the prettiest girls I've known. I would try to get in your pants if I didn't know better," he winked at me.

"Jack! You ruined that moment," I said pushing him off my bed. "You can't get back on my bed because you said that."

"Aw come on," Jack looked at me with his puppy dog eyes.

"Don't give me those," I avoided his eyes.

"What?" he moved his head to the side like a lost puppy. It only mixed with his puppy dog eyes, making it harder for me to just let him stand there.

"You have these puppy dog eyes. No wonder you're a woman killer," I looked back at him and pat the spot next to me.

"Are you falling for the Grazer charm?" he smirked, laying his head in my lap.

"Definitely not," I looked down at him and rolled my eyes.
