Rachel seemed more upset than Grover, and I'm sure certain we were all feeling her guilt. She wasn't trying to hide it.

Grover though didn't comment on it nor did the others. Tyson though was asking Rachel about how she knew where to go.

It didn't take us long to travel from the crystal caves where Pan faded to camp. When we exited the labyrinth we were greeted by Clarisse guarding the entrance.

She noticed we didn't have the string. "He already gave it away by the time we got there" Annabeth said

Clarisse, just nodded, "at least you came back with your sanity" she said

Now you can say whatever you want about Clarisse. She's mean. She bully's newbies. Yeah that stuff is true. She wants you to prove yourself. However, she's also a great general. She cares about her cabin mates, and the camp and aims to protect both, even if it means injury and harm to herself. But what she did next was new for her, at least in my experience.

She walked up to Grover and gave him a hug, "he's gone isn't he" she asked Grover just nodded and started crying a little again. "Do you want me to go with you to tell Hedge" she asked

Grover looked up at her, "what even I know he's the most violent and stubborn satyr there is"

Grover chuckled, "it would be nice to have a friend there to help me tell him"

Clarisse smiled, "good. By the way Quintus"

"Is actually Daedalus" Annabeth and I finished off

"I was going to say gone but ok" Clarisse said, "learn something new every day I guess. Anyways you all should head back to Perseus and Chiron. I'm sure they would like an update"

The others headed off and I stayed back, "Clarisse you might want to get more here"

She looked at me, and then understood, "they are coming aren't they"

"Nico and I delayed them, but I'm not too sure how long that delay will last"

"Send my cabin to me. Tell them I requested them code 2" Clarisse responded

I nodded, and went to deliver the message to the Ares cabin. Now I don't know what code 2 means, but I swear I don't think a fire department could gear up quicker. The cabin headed off in heavy armor and was bringing Clarisse's armor with them.

I continued on to the big house, just in time to hear of our adventure to mount Othrys, "Percy and Nico used their powers" Annabeth said, "the entire palace collapsed"

Perseus, seemed happy at the news but Chiron was skeptical, "did you remain to check that it stayed destroy"

"No" Annabeth responded

Chiron took notice of me, "Percy they said you went in to the palace what did you see"

"I went in, saw the sarcophagus and opened it see Luke lying there with a single hole going straight through the body. I tried stabbing him, but it reflected, tried behead that too failed from numerous angles. I'm left to assume that he bathed in the Styx so he could host the titan lord. I retreated when a couple of Telekhines entered with a demigod I saved in the arena. Upon returning to Nico and the group I had Nico help me destroy the palace. I only hope we destroyed the palace before the titan lord could get what he needed to rise, but I have my doubts. Even if we succeed it wouldn't take long to uncover the sarcophagus and finish what is needed"

Perseus and Chiron looked shocked, "that is not good"

"Ya think. Why do you think I had Nico help me destroy the palace? we need all the dam time we can get"

"Ok ok what happened next" they asked

Rachel then went on to tell them of us heading to Pan and Grover spoke of the entire meeting with Pan. "I thought he died long ago" Perseus said

"He should have. But the Satyrs kept him alive for a long time with their faith in him" Nico said, "at least he didn't cheat on his own free will"

"Ahh yes Daedalus" Chiron stated, "one of the most crafty students I've ever had. It doesn't surprise me he was the one to figure out how to cheat death"

"We should prepare to fight" Thalia said, "they have the string it's only a matter of time before they arrive"

Chiron sighed, like he has experienced too much death, "I suppose it's time to polish my old bow and get ready to help you all defend the camp"

"I would help, but I'm dead and haven't been given a body" Perseus said

"That's because they don't want me killing you like I did to your predecessor" I sarcastically replied

"Ah. Makes sense" Perseus said, "good luck heroes"

We were dismissed and headed back to our cabins to prepare for war. Though I should have prepared I had my word to keep. I iris messaged the hunt only to receive Zoë, "PERSEUS JACKSON HOW DARE YOU MAKE MOTHER WORRY"

"Look Ze I'm sorry about that, but I hadn't had much choice. Can you gather our sisters and mom, I have something important to tell you all"

Zoe looked concerned, but gathered our sisters and mom, "Percy what's wrong son" mom asked

"Pan has faded" I stated

My statement was met with cries of disbelief, though mom studied me, "he's not lying. My half nephew has passed on"

"Milady you can't be serious" Phoebe stated

"Phe, if we want the wild to continue we can't rely on the gods to do it. We must take up the spirit of Pan and do so ourselves to not only protect what little wild remains, but also reclaim some territory for the wild"

"Well spoken my son but I do not think they are your words alone"

"No mother Pan spoke to us all. The Satyr Grover found him, only to learn he had to let go. Please help spread the word" I asked

"We shall little bro. See you in a few weeks" Zoe said and cut off the message. I'm pretty sure I can hear mom yelling at her for not letting her say bye.
