《Son of Artemis Book 4》Chapter 11

I have no clue how long I was out. But I do know it was a good while.
I woke up and the only surroundings I recognized were the people lying next to me holding on tight, two sleeping bodies not to far away, and Tyson who was looking around.
"Hey big guy" I said
Tyson turned and looked at me happily, "you're alive" he stated, a bit too loudly as Thalia and Annabeth stirred a bit
"Yeah I'll make it for now" I said, "where's Briares"
"He...he" Tyson started only to wipe a tear away from his eye.
"Hey it's ok" I said, "he'll find his strength again, knowing you have faith in him" I tried my best in comforting him.
He just sniffled and let loose a sigh, "I don't know if I do"
"You must. He just needs his time to find it and he'll know it's because of you having faith in him doing so" I replied
"I'll...I'll...I'll try" Tyson answered getting control of himself.
"Good" I replied, "now how did we get here"
"Oh scary Annabeth yelled at your unconscious form for a couple of minutes before storming in a direction saying we need to find Daedalus. Eventually we stopped here because Dead boy and goat boy were tired" he said, "then Briares left" he answered
"Who had first watch" I asked
"Annabeth did. Thalia woke me up for watch then went over to join you and Annabeth there before falling asleep"
"Thanks for catching me up Tyson" I said, "and for getting me back in the labyrinth"
"Your welcome" he said
I laid there waiting for Annabeth and Thalia to wake up.
I didn't have to wait long as Tyson's earlier excitement actually woke them up and they've just been faking being asleep.
How do I know this. Well not even a minute later both of them started cursing at me and slapping me for scaring them like that. Then threatened me to never do that again.
After a few minutes of this they calmed down. "Don't do that to me ever again. I thought you died" Annabeth said

"You could have asked Nico if I died or not. You know considering his father" I replied. Annabeth just glared at me.
"Ugh you both are impossible" Annabeth said
"What did you do Thalia" I leaned over and whispered to her
"Complain about not fighting the monster"
"Ahhhh" I said
Annabeth just sighed at our antics, "come on let's wake Grover and Nico"
Tyson woke up Nico and Grover then, so we could get on our way and start wondering the labyrinth again.
I don't know where we were going, the architecture was ranging from ancient to modern at random.
We were walking down this one corridor where we all the sudden we heard a moo and looked up to see a red cow.
"We could get out of the labyrinth here" Grover stated, looking like he wanted to just get out of the underground for a while.
"Why is the cow red" Nico asked
"It's a sacred cow to Apollo" I answered, as Tyson pushed up on the grate scaring the cow away. Only to then start hoisting us up and out of the labyrinth.
Nico was complaining about how the cows weren't in mythomagic. I swear that kid lives for that game...and his sister.
We were taking our surroundings in and by my guess from the weather we are somewhere in the south but not an overly humid part.
The good news plenty of open space to make a camp. The bad news a tall guy, definitely a cowboy, that was buff was walking this way...and...is that Orthus. What is Cerberus's brother doing here.
"We should head back" I said
"Too late" Tyson argued as the cowboy and Orthus was already here.
"Boss wants to see ya, trespassers" the cowboy said
Thalia and I shared a look, but our thoughts were quickly cancelled by Annabeth slapping us upside the head telling us no.
I mean seriously we didn't say anything and she's already telling us no.
"I swear if you two start an unnecessary fight not even Zeus would dare stop me from beating you two" Annabeth said giving both of us a look

Thalia looked away trying to ignore Annabeth and I took a keen interest in my feet as we were lead to the main farm house.
Once we arrived at the main farmhouse I realized where we were. I mean the three bodies were a dead give away that he's Geryon. Which I guess that means mr. cowboy is Eurytion.
I can't believe we forgot about these guys. Like yeah sure they aren't powerful in the sense that they aren't like Ladon or the manticore, but it would still be good to see if they are loyal to Olympus still.
"So six little trespassers onto my farm" Geryon said, looking each of us over stopping on Thalia, Nico, and myself
"You three will fetch a high price, once my clients learn about you being here" he said. Annabeth looked uncomfortable in that fact probably guessing who his clients are, and my presumption is this it's Kronos.
Geryon went on to explain the rules of the ranch and then brought out this kiddy train like thing and told us to sit in it while we get the tour.
Ok I'll be one of the first seven to admit this tour was boring and as simultaneously infuriating as can be. First Geryon doesn't only breed and kill my uncles sacred cows and sell the meat produce to his 'clients'. No that would be too nice. He also holds probably the last of the Hippalektryon and use them to have omelets. A creature so rare that even my mother thinks they are extinct and has sworn to give a safe home for any she and the hunt, come across.
But no if you can't see that this bastard isn't already bad enough. The way he keeps his stables, even though they are occupied by flesh eating horse, is worthy of a Z rating from the Department of Agriculture, the FDA, and the public health department. Like seriously I would feel safe betting a certain bastard son of Zeus was the last one to clean them and that's at least three millennia ago.
I guess mom was right about the gods not having any health safety policies though and that's why the hunt gets our food either ourselves or from the mortals who actually have standards.
Now I was irritated, a lot mainly because the horses adapted to the filth when they shouldn't have to adapt to such conditions. And my irritation wasn't helped by Annabeth, Thalia, and Grover being irritated as well. Nico wanted to kill the flesh eating horses, while Tyson was trying to convince him not to because ponies are nice.
So I ended up searching out for water sources and noticed the river, but also felt the spirit of an ancient long gone sea.
Deciding to be nice, and not piss off a water nymph I know to be alive, I tried summoning the ancient sea to come and clean the stables and horses.
The good news it worked. The bad news it worked to well and I was starting to panic about how to stop the water from heading to the river. The even worse than bad news Geryon was pissed at me for cleaning.
The horses though we're begging for me to stop and that they'll be good little horses whenever someone came by to clean. I made an attempt at focusing and commanding the water to stop and not enter the river, which worked, but I was tired from the effort.
"WHY DID YOU DO THAT" Geryon yelled
"Isn't it obvious. No creature deserves to live in that situation" Annabeth retorted
"SHUT UP GIRLIE. THEY DON'T NEED YOU" he replied
Now I don't know what exactly Thalia was thinking, but the next thing I know the locomotive to the kiddy train was disintegrated and Geryon was standing their with his clothes acting as third degree burns.

A Man and His Greatsword
Michael Adkins is a unique 28-year-old man. Born with above average strength and emerald green eyes, he always wanted to live in a fantasy world. He was very much into fantasy light novels, manga, and anime, especially a certain one that involves a black armored man with a large greatsword. Michael always dreamed of going on an adventure in a fantasy world. On a whim, Michael is summoned by the god of Alorah, one of the fantasy worlds he had always read about! Alorah's God, Eden, gives Michael a choice of three bonuses and a custom class to take with him into Alorah. This is the start of Michael's fantasy adventures. P.S. This is my first novel, I'm writing this since there were little novels I've found with a main character that wields a greatsword. Don't expect anything good. There will be a lot of mistakes, so please help me with that! P.P.S The later chapters will (hopefully) be much less cringy than the early ones. Please give it a shot!
