《The Son of Artemis Book 2》Chapter 14: I Become A Captain

I awoke to Annabeth nudging me in the side, and saying that there was land ahead. Good thing is my headache from the concussion is gone, so now I can operate somewhat normally. I took my shirt off my face and took in my surroundings which unsurprisingly was just an island ahead of us which we were drifting into. However, the worrisome thing about the island was that it was two modern to be any island, but one, and I don't want to be turned into a pig.
"Annabeth please tell me that isn't Circe's island" I stated, hoping that she could tell at least.
"I don't know, I can't really tell from here" she stated. Well, shit it's likely Circe's island.
We continued drifting closer and closer to the island until we were about 100 feet out and I decided to wake Peter...and sacrifice him to be turned into a pig. "wha...what happened" Peter asked waking up as we were now 50 feet away and I could see a well defined outlined of a person standing right around where we would be making landfall.
"You got knocked out from the fall into the water when you were being carried by one of Scylla's mouth's into the air" I explained quickly as we were now 25 feet away.
"oh" he said, looking around only to see that we were approaching an island, "it has to be here" he continued, only looking at the person, whom is clearly a young girl, who is waiting for us to arrive on the island. I feel sorry for that girl, but on the bright side Peter most definitely will be getting turned into a pig now, the only question I have though is where are the other pigs that should be on this island.
"Hello" the girl said, who is holding a clipboard and is dressed in a blue business suit, "Welcome to C.C's resort and spa. Is this your first time here" she finished asking us
I wanted to say no but I just kept quiet while Peter was mumbling about not really saying anything coherent.
"I'll write that down as a no" she said, looking down disappointed at her board. She then started checking all three of us out before speaking again, "why don't you three follow me. We'll start with a wrap for the Lady, and for the gentlemen, well I don't really know yet, but I'm sure CC will" she said, leading us to the docks where I found an assortment of vessels and could see an airstrip and helipad both of which were occupied.
Great maybe I can negotiate with CC and trade Peter for one of the boats. We continued walking along a path that had many small homes off of it and eventually found ourselves at the main building and entered into a room with a pool and many women tanning around it and a few swimming in the pool. So apparently CC opened up her island to house women, which leaves me again to wonder where in the world are the males turned pigs.

Eventually, we were being lead up the stairs and I would assume entered CC's office as it had floor to ceiling windows on one side overlooking the pool, and on the opposite wall was mirrors much the same way which made the room seem infinitely bigger, however opposite to the entrance there was a bed that had a cage next to it, and from what I can tell from the squealing, they must be the only male inhabitants of the island, and were warning of the witch that turned them into Guinea pigs.
However, away from that and pushed up against the mirrored wall was a giant loom that a woman, which I'm guessing is CC, working on creating a tapestry, of what I am assuming is one of the waterfalls on her island.
She turned around to see us three, well, four if you count her employee, standing there looking at the tapestry. Annabeth said something about how amazing the work was while I was thinking of how did she make it seem like it was three dimensional.
I don't know how long I was studying the work but I was drawn out of my mind by Circe commenting on how Annabeth had good taste. And she also formally introduced herself as CC which the guinea pigs were calling bullshit on.
CC walked over and study all three of us and she looked at Peter and Myself with disapproval...jeez I can't imagine why, maybe it's the same reason my sisters have when other males are present.
"Hylla why don't you get Annabeth started on a tour and then hair and dress...by then I should be finish with the boys here" CC said, trying to be as nice as possible but I could hear the little bit of distaste she had laced in her voice.
As soon as Hylla and Annabeth left, with only light protest from Annabeth concerning me, CC immediately began heavily charmspeaking Peter, and trying with me, but was failing and I don't think she realized it because I went along with it.
She lined us up with a mirror and had it show more muscular and taller version's of ourselves as well as taking away any scars that would have normally shown...at least in Peter's case as most of my scars were healed by Uncle Apollo so mom wouldn't freak out.
"Don't you want to look like that, taller, more muscular, more beautiful" CC asked us
"Yes" Peter responded in a somewhat daze, and I didn't say anything at all
"Is your friend mute" CC asked
"I'm not mute, I just don't necessarily like talking" I answered before Peter could come up with some stupid lie...That would probably get me to kill him.
"oh sorry for assuming then" CC said, not sounding apollogetic at all, "Well if you want you can look like you do in the mirror, the first thing you'll have to do is start a strict diet" CC said heading behind a mini bar that I just realized was in the room, but the Guinea pigs were squealing no and don't listen to the witch. Though it was only one telling me not to listen to the witch and he sound suspiciously like Ares...maybe it's one of his sons, which wouldn't surprise me with all the military hardware around on the island.

She came back and handed both of us a red smoothie which Peter immediately downed and I emptied onto the floor. "That was a good smoothie and if you didn't want it you could have just said so Percy" Peter said trying to scold me only to start turning into a guinea pig himself and screaming about it the whole time.
When he was done transforming leaving himself as a guinea pig burried in clothes I crouched down and said, "because we're on Circe's island and I'm smart enough not to accept anything handed to you on this island".
I stood back up to see CC shocked, "How did you know it was me" she stuttered probably trying to buy time to think of a way to get at me.
"A multitude of reasons really, one being there's not a ton of islands in the sea of monsters, and only one of them would ever get modernized, because of it's resident or well residents now I guess, and the others I won't tell you" I said glaring back at her.
She started to perform some magic but I had to stop her, "I wouldn't cast that if I were you" I said
"And why's that" she asked not casting the spell but holding it ready for use
"One extremely angry and pissed off Artemis, who's my adoptive mother, 30 or more of her followers all of which will probably be just as mad as my adoptive mother as they are my adoptive sister's, and all of them will be more than happy to destroy your island if you finished that spell, and lastly I'm Hestia's champion and she's fond of me so you can risk whatever she'll do to you as well, and because I see the doubt already in your eyes I swear on the river styx what I said was true" and thunder boomed sealing the oath, which I was happy about because now I'm sure my sister's will avenge me, even though I prank some of them *cough* Zoë *cough*.
Circe immediately dropped the spell and stared at me probably from the shock that Artemis adopted a male child instead of the fact I was telling the truth. When she came back around she finally asked, "What are your terms for an exchange of keeping your sisters away"
"You should know I can't control them, but I will say my visit here was peaceful and helpful if you agree to my terms" I responded
"Fine what are your terms for that" she said annoyed that she's been bested and without the use of magic or weapons.
"Agree to my terms on the Styx and I'll say you were helpful on my quest, and peaceful"
"I swear on the Styx to your terms, and what of the other boy" CC asked her oath being sealed by a clap of thunder.
"My Terms are; You'll give me a ship of my choice, allow myself and Annabeth go freely on said ship, and immediately let the two Roman demigoddesses go peacefully and sending them off safely by means of their preferred transport or allowing Lady Vesta to come and bring them to Lady Lupa. Now as for the other boy I don't care what you do with him, just be warned he's Poseidon's son" I responded giving my conditions, while she put Peter with the other Guinea pigs.
"How do you know about the romans, why do you want my two roman attendants freed and fine we'll go meet your friend Annabeth and I swear on the river Styx after you two leave and are out of sight I'll immediately let the Romans goto the Romans go to their camp" she said leading us out the door way
"Apollo screwed up, and I also sense that the needs them off the island, and not with my mom's hunt either, if that's what your worried about" I responded
"Of course it was him, that idiot is going to cause another war between demigods eventually" Circe mumbled, like she was familiar with the sun god.
She lead me down a few corridors and we eventually got to a dress shop where Annabeth was just leaving with a dress, and her hair perfectly done in princess curls flowing down her back.
"Percy" Annabeth yelled and jumped at me.
I caught her in a hug before whispering in her ear that I secured better transport off the island. She looked at me curiously, before I told her that I would explain later.
"happy you two are reunited. Now Hylla lead them down to the docks allow them to take any ship and leave. Afterwards fetch your sister and meet me back in my office" Circe said which gained a confused look from Hylla, but she complied anyways.
"Which ship do you want" Hylla asked
I stopped Annabeth from answering, and looked around the ships until I found one that I would be able to manipulate from the helm with property of a supposedly dead pirate, The Queen Anne's Revenge. I answered with that ship pointing to the Queen Anne's Revenge and Hylla looked unsettled by my choice but allowed it nevertheless.
I immediately went to the captain's quarter's and came back out with Blackbeard's sword. I ran up to the helm and used my power over ships, totally through Blackbeard's sword, and we started sailing away from Circe's Island on to the next.
"Well Captain Percy why this ship" Annabeth joked coming up from below deck probably to take inventory of what we had.
"This is Blackbeard's ship, and controllable through his sword" I semi-lied, not about it being Blackbeard's ship but the sword thing...yeah that's a complete lie.
