《The Son of Artemis Book One》Chapter 10: I Have to Save an Idiot

So my sisters dropping me off went, well, let's just say nobody died. They also told Annabeth to keep me away from the boys in camp, which she agreed to. Now, I don't know what her friendship with Luke was like before, but after everyone learned he kidnapped me their friendship went south, and she hardly talks to him.
Sadly my sisters had to leave on same day as arrival so, I was left alone in the large cabin, which was lonely. I woke up the next morning, and made my way to the pavilion for breakfast, then got my schedule from Chiron, and surprisingly, everything was beginners classes. I gave him my super deluxe I'm going to kill you in your sleep glare, I learned from Zoë. "You're kidding me right, I could do all of this since I was seven, and last year mine and Zoë's record was 345 wins to her to my 318 wins" I said annoyed like this is baby's play because it is. I wasn't raised by the most skilled group of anybody for nothing. He looked at my schedule and said it was right...I went to the camp fire and burned it, deciding I would just stick around with Annabeth and my uncle Apollo's kids.
So I went off to find Annabeth, apparently she's teaching ancient Greek. "Hey Annabeth" I said walking into her class, interrupting it.
"Percy you don't have my class, where's your schedule" She asked/demanded
"I looked at it then burned it, I can't wait to tell my sisters where Chiron placed me" I said with a slight chuckle
"So what are you going to do" she asked in Greek
"Well if I get bored of hanging with you I'll go find and torment the Hermes kids with pranks or beat my uncle's kids in archery competitions" I responded in perfect Greek, she looked at me confused, "What I was raised by the hunters some of which were alive during Ancient Greece, do you honestly think they wouldn't teach me" I said, hoping not to get into the same situation I had with Chiron.
"Well you do make a great point, it's just that I didn't expect you to be perfect in it" She said, in her I'm a daughter of Athena, so I'm smart way.
"Yeah well Chiron seems to think they haven't taught me anything" I said
She went back to teaching the class and I didn't learn anything new, so I followed her to her training session, "Annabeth who is this" her cabin counselor spoke, I don't like him so I never bothered with the name.
"This is Percy, Artemis's adopted kid" she said

"Isn't he suppose to be in the beginner classes" He stated fairly rudely
"Well, I burnt my schedule so I don't know" I said
"well you are so you should head off to them" He snarled
"Oh am I, well I suppose you should be there too considering I can put you on your ass in five seconds" I said, five, four,...
"No..." was all he said before he was on his ass.
"How good was my timing" I asked
"It was off by half a millisecond" Annabeth said, looking down at her older brother. The next thing I know is that I'm in Chiron's office with the Athena cabin for disciplinary reasons.
"Percy why did you not attend your classes, and why are you and Athena's head councilor butting heads"
"well if that boy is in the advance classes, and I can put him on his ass in 5 seconds give or take half a millisecond, then he should be in the beginners classes too" I reasoned, and most of Athena's kids reluctantly agreed.
"Percy you are put in those classes for a reason" Chiron said
"50 drachmas, nobody here can beat Zoë once" I said dragging my non present sister into this, "I've done it 318 times last year alone and another 135 this year to date" I said annoyed with the old Horse
"Doesn't matter" He said
"I lived with my mother's hunt for all but like 36 hours of my life, and you honestly think I'm at beginners level" I questioned, trying to get through his thick skull. He ignored me though and handed me another schedule which I promptly sacrificed to my mother asking her to show it to Zoë, and the others. As for mine and that boy's dispute Chiron said to let it go and I can't go to classes with them, so I am not going to any classes whatsoever and am going to prank without burning the camp down...this time.
I set up a whole bunch of pranks when everyone was at their activities, and let's just say, I'm instigating a prank war between Hermes cabin and a whole bunch of other cabins. For instance you will find Apollo's cabin painted black leaving gold lettering of Hermes rulez, the weapons from Ares cabin and makeup and clothes from Aphrodite's cabin switched, and the Hermes kids actually pranked the other cabins themselves including me, but that last one failed. In the matter of one afternoon I had the camp in a pranking war.
I allied in pranks with Athena, Hephaestus, and Apollo, against a solo Ares cabin, a solo Hermes cabin, and the non-participating Demeter, Aphrodite, and Dionysius cabins. After two days Chiron called the gods down because he arguably lost control of the camp when he and Dionysus started getting pranked too. The gods got their kids to stop this foolishness by ganging up on Hermes and blaming his children for starting it all. Mom, however, looked at me like don't start this shit again, but still gave me a look of approval for the good job.

Camp was boring after that. About a week later, since I had trouble with sleeping during the full moon I went out to Thalia's tree and sat there for tonight, talking to the tree. I wasn't paying attention to the time that passed by, but looking down the hill there was this massive lightning strike that struck a car, great there's probably a child of my father in there, I thought. I saw that three people came out of the car one of which, was pulled out unconscious, it looked like Grover, he was cool and all, but really only wanted to go and find Pan.
I was going to ignore them until I saw the Minotaur flip the car over when they were about a quarter way up the hill. I wrote a quick note, tied to an arrow and launched straight through Chiron's window. I may have also added an insult in the note.
I hopped down from the tree, and get ready for the Minotaur attack. I saw a part of the fight with the Minotaur, where the kids mom, I presume, pushed Grover out of the way and tried to jump out the man-bull's way but was grabbed and teleported somewhere before she was killed. The kid screamed at the Minotaur and was subsequently hit into a boulder when the Minotaur failed to grab him but ended up hitting him out of the way.
This is going to be so hard to explain to Chiron. I pulled out Anaklusmos, "Hey meathead tasty demigod right here" I taunted, and he looked like he didn't know which of us to go after. He, eventually decided on charging me where I just rolled right and sliced him in the back, when he turned around to charge again. I held firm till last second before jumping up, and on the way down stabbing him through the head. I then took out my knives and sliced the sides of his neck, since he wasn't disintegrating fast enough for me.
I looked around and saw that nobody was here, and began to think, WTH Chiron I specifically asked for you to send at least one person to help me. I sighed and shoulder the unconscious demigod on one shoulder, while shouldering Grover on the other. I carried them both like that all the way to the big house where guess what Chiron was waiting with the note and arrow in hand, "what's the meaning of this" he asked handing me the note I wrote.
"Well it was a note asking for some reinforcements for the Minotaur, an insult to you for placing me in beginner classes, asking for medical assistance for these two, and the means of delivering said message" I said dropping both bodies on the porch, rolling my shoulders when done.
Annabeth came out of the big house and looked at the demigod I brought in, "he's not the one" she said. I knew she was referring to who takes her on her first quest, so I was trying not to laugh at the obvious statement. "So what happened" she asked. I went on to explain everything, and Annabeth immediately wanted me to take her to where the meathead died. She looked down and picked up the Minotaur horn that was left on the ground, and handed it to me. "It's yours you killed it" she said, and I accepted it from her. "So what do you want to do now" I asked
"Sleep" she said before I walked with her to her cabin.
I went to mine not expecting to find Zoë holding my schedule, "Mom wants me to tell you a few things. First good job with the minotaur and she's proud of you. The second is that she has a problem with your schedule. and the last is not to bring us into things we aren't involved in, like your argument with Chiron"
"I make no promises" I said, "but did you get caught by the wood nymphs" I asked and she glared at me, giving away her answer.
"Anyways do you think we could fashion this into a spear" I asked holding the Minotaur horn up. She looked at it and touched the sharp pointy end that wasn't attached to the head.
"It's possible but we can do it when you aren't here and back with us" she said in a way like she was planning on how to do it already. Now one thing many don't know about Zoë is she is an excellent weapons designer, just look at my sword for example. "I got to go now and Mom wants you to get some sleep, so off to bed" she said leaving the cabin through the window.
I placed the minotaur horn down on my nightstand and did as I was told as mom probably knows there's something important I need to dream about.
