《The Son of Artemis Book One》Chapter 7: Percy Revealed

I guided Artemis into my office, and was prepared for the earful I was about to get. "I don't care if he's your best or worst camper Chiron anything short of tortured to death is thrown out the window to start with" Artemis stated in a way I'm certain even her father wouldn't argue. But thanks to my job I have to.
"Lady Artemis, as sound as your reasons are, tortured to death is taking it a bit to the extreme" I tried reasoning
"Really Chiron, it's to the extreme. If I or my hunters had our way death wouldn't come to him for a long while for hurting my son and their baby brother" she stated as if it was fact, which I am certain it is. "The offer of tortured to death that I gave is completely reasonable and more than fair for him kidnapping, injuring and then forcing his exposure to the others. Especially possibly revealing that Poseidon's goon failed in killing him"
That intrigued me why would Poseidon want to kill anyone, "if I may why would Poseidon want to kill him" I asked
"Think about for a minute you old horse" she said irritatedly. After thinking about it for a minute, she gave an exasperated sigh like it should be obvious "I'll give you hint: a peaceful death when he's young, or a painful death when he's older" well that hint made it fairly obvious.
"You mean to tell me that Poseidon bro..."
"Yes he did, and you better not make my father aware of it either or that I adopted his kid" she said threateningly
"Why did you adopt him then" I asked
" why do you think. I just witnessed my son's mortal mother be killed protecting her child. She recognized me and only asked one thing of me and I was planning on asking her to join the hunt. She asked me to care for and raise her child and I have been upholding the oath that I made concerning her final words" Artemis stated like I should have known this already...again.
"Then why hide him from the others"
"Why do you think there's already one paranoid asshole and plenty of gods bidding to take me. Do you think he would actually care if my son is adopted or not" Artemis stated in an angry manner. Though what she said make sense.
"Chiron, the boy who Luke and them brought us is awake now" Annabeth stated coming into my office. Only to then see Artemis and I were in the middle of conversation. " sorry for interrupting your conversation lady Artemis" Annabeth said before fleeing my office, rather quickly seeing the angry goddess.

"Now, Chiron I am going to go and see my son. And if you haven't came up with an acceptable punishment for the boy by the time my hunt, son and I leave you can expect him to go missing" She stated leaving my office. By the Gods Luke what have you brought upon yourself and this camp.
I woke up in a strange place with this weird looking blond girl staring at me. To be honest she looked like one of my sisters who was also a daughter of Athena, but I knew that she wasn't my sister. "Oh good you're awake now. I gotta go tell Chiron" she stated running out of the room.
If she just mentioned Chiron then that means I'm at this camp that my sisters hate, camp half hell I believe, though why they call it that I don't understand, yet. It doesn't seem really 'helly' or hellish.
Ok so I wake up in an unknown place, that may be camp half hell, good news is that I remember the protocol for this situation. So, I grabbed my things that were up against one of the walls and jump out the window.
I sneaked my way to the cabins and only a few nymphs saw me, but thankfully they kept quiet, I'm glad mom has a good relationship with them. I looked at each cabin and was guessing which one was whose, which lead me to my current search as I see uncle Apollo's cabin, but the silver one described to me is not across from it. What is across from it is a rather plain looking cabin, but it could just be because of the lack of the moonlight.
I made my way inside, only to be greeted by a bunch of my sisters aiming arrows at me and my mom laughing. "I was wondering how long it would take you to get here" mom said in her laughter.
"it's not my fault I've never been here. I also had to stick to the woods to avoid others. A few wood nymphs saw me though" I exasperated at my mom's version of humor.
"Pretty good little bro, but you need to do better, if a few wood nymphs caught you" Zoë said
"it's kind of hard to avoid them when you are climbing through their trees" I countered.
"Zoë stop making fun of your little brother, not even you would have been able to avoid them" Mom said to stop our fight before it started, "now go outside, so I can claim you, son" mom said in her scolding manner.

I did as I was told and many of the campers looked astonished that I walked out of moms cabin, I wonder why...well, I did wonder until that weird blonde girl spoke up, "How did you come out of Lady Artemis's cabin alive, much less doing that as a boy" she questioned.
After she finished her question a few of the campers collapsed, and the blonde girl started opening and closing her mouth like she was a fish, pointing at me. I, of course, wondering why she, and others were pointing at me looked up to see my mom's symbol glowing silver above me. I guess that would explain why they are pointing and some passed out, my mom has basically told me everything.
All the sudden the centaur Chiron came galloping up, proclaiming me as the son of Artemis and listing most of mom's domains. When Chiron finished mom was standing behind me along with most of my sisters, I ran up and hugged mom and we were soon swarmed by my sisters.
The group hug lasted shortly as there was a sudden burst of thunder, which caused mom and my sisters to groan in annoyance, I think. "Percy my father is summoning the council, stay here with your sisters and only leave them if Uncle Apollo, Auntie Hestia, or myself comes to get you"
"Ok, mom" I said before she flashed away, "so Zozo do you want to finish our argument at the archery range" I asked, only to see many campers faint and Zoë to glare at me for calling her by the nickname I came up with for her.
"Let's settle this then little brother" Zoë said dragging me to the archery range
When I adopted Percy, I knew this day would come eventually, I just didn't expect it to come so soon, nor did I really prepare for it. However, what little preparation I did do should be enough to get me out of any trouble. I flashed in to see that most of the council was already here, and that we were only waiting on Poseidon, Dionysius, and Ares. Which surprised me because normally he and Aphrodite come together.
Once the three missing gods flashed in, "We are here to discuss the fate of Artemis's child" my father started before anyone could ask why we were here.
"And why would we need to discuss his fate" I questioned. I mean who wouldn't when you can presume that your child is going to be killed in a few hours
"Because Artemis" Father spat, "you broke your vow of maidenhood"
"And who is to say that I broke my vow"
"You have a child, daughter"
"Did I birth him, as last I checked I did no such thing" I countered
This seemed to throw off most of the council, including my father. "What, my sister is saying you dimwits is that Percy is adopted" Apollo spoke to break the silence.
Apparently that went right over father's head as he started going off on a rant about me breaking my vow and everything else that's wrong at the moment. He started to calm down and many of the Olympians were still looking confused about why they were called and why do we need to discuss whatever it is we are here for, however Hermes, Athena, and Aphrodite seemed to have figured it out.
"Father, where in my vow did I forbid myself from adopting a child, where in my vow did I forbid myself for caring for and raising a child" I questioned knowing that I didn't, "Percy is my adopted son, and I care for him as if he were my child. Is that wrong of me to do"
"Yes" stated the queen of being a bitch, sorry I meant my evil stepmother
"What do you mean adopted" my father stated quite annoyed
"I adopted Percy to be my own child after having witnessed his mother's final words, and seeing her actions leading up to her death. I planned on asking her to join the hunt but she was beyond healing and asked one thing of me, and I decide that I would do it. She asked me to raise her son, and I have done so" I said
"That's violating the ancient laws" Hera said
"He's not born from me so I can raise him and considering the oath I made to raise him would make it so I wasn't violating any of the laws. And you say I violate the ancient laws, as if you yourself haven't violated the ancient laws, I can't even begin to count the number of times that you have interfered in the lives of mortals and demigods, Hera, the same can be said to the rest of you as well" I stated in a manner asking for challenge. A few of the gods opened to start protesting, but quickly shut them, knowing I was right.
