I looked beside me to see both my sleeping beauties were sleeping peacefully.

Maybe Carter family has something for sleeping to!

My hands were clammy with sweat as I held on to the steering wheel. Today is it. I thought this day won't come for about next few months. But it came before even a week had passed. Giving me utter happiness.

Happiness, such a foreign word on my lips. But again the thought of having a daughter was also foreign.

I looked at Amy to see she has completely curled herself in Rain's lap. Was that position even comfortable? But I let it be. Both of them looked serene.

Soon my car crossed the gate of my mansion. As I parked it in the garage.

I gently shook Rain but she woke with a jolt. I forgot just like me she is a light sleeper. She looked at me confused.

"We have reached home.", I said softly.

It was only after I said that she realized we were back to home. She looked outside and just nodded her head.

I opened the car and my way to their side. I quickly opened the door and picked up Amy. Rain stumbled out quite literally though the car was of low height.

I chuckled at her attics and she just passed me a sheepish smile. I decided to make a bold move as I wrapped my right arm around her waist. I don't know what came to me that I did that. But it felt good.

Rain looked at me with her blue doe eyes wide as she never expected it. Well even I never expected it. But the best part was that she let it be. We all three went inside our home together.

"Lets just take her to her room. I will wake her up and change her clothes. If she sleeps right now then she will give me a sleepless night.", Rain stated indicating towards Amy.

I took a sleeping Amy upstair with me along with Rain following. I opened Amber's room and placed her on the bed. I left the room giving Amber and Rain their privacy.

I open the door to my room as I directly went inside the bathroom for a quick bath. After the bath I came out and dressed myself up in a gray shirt and a pair of grey sweatpants.

I didn't need to check my mail for the day as all my mails were transferred to my right hand that was Pear.

But mean while my phone rang. It was from Dante.

"Speak.", I said coldly.

"Boss a matter needs to be discussed.", Dante stated.

"1:30, my office.", I stated and cut the call. No mood to talk further.

I made my way downstairs without disturbing Rain or Amy because I knew when they will be done they will come down on their own. At the bottom of the stair I met the head chef and dismissed him saying that all of them can take leave for today. It was just 8 o'clock and there shift gets over at 10:00 but I wanted some time alone with them. With my family.

I had no idea of what I should be making. So I waited for Rain to come down.

I sat on the couch as I felt movement up the stairs. I looked back to see it was Amy who was rushing down the staircase.

"Careful baby.", I stated.

I made my way to her as I noticed my words fell deaf in her ears. She jumped down from the second stair on the floor. The landing wasn't graceful but I was glad at least she didn't fall.

I quickly picked her up as she wrapped her arms around my neck. I placed one hand behind her head while the other around her hips, supporting her.

"Hungry Amy?", I asked her.

Amy looked up at me and made a confused face. Why is she confuse?

"Because she doesn't know who you are referring to as Amy.", I looked up the stairs to see Rain was standing there. In a pair of pink sweatpants and a white t-shirt that was twice her size.

It was another man's shirt.

A burning spread up in my heart. Maybe it was Karl's. But this thought didn't settle with me well. Have they spend a night together rather nights together? Does she miss him? A felling of envy washed over me and an urge to at least hit someone intensified.

Keep it cool Damien. Today is a important day. Don't lose today's opportunity.

Rain came and directly stood in front of me. Even in her full height she just reached my chest.

I felt her lips move but I was too engrossed in my thoughts to understand her. Her smell was distracting and all I wanted to do was kiss her senselessly till the time she doesn't forget about that boy. Who ever he was.

"Damien Black!"

I heard Rain yell my name is she shook me. I looked at her only now realizing she was talking to me.

"Where were you lost. I have been calling your name for so long.", Rain stated. Her tone teasing.

I sighed.

"What were you saying? I was thinking of something at that moment.", I stated.

"I said that she doesn't know that you are referring to as Amy. That is why she is confused.", Rain stated.

I simply nodded my head and looked at Amy. She was curiously looking at me.

"From now I will call you Amy. I like that name for you.", I told Amber. She eagerly nodded her making me feeling relieved. She likes it.

"Let's make something. I am famishing.", Rain said as she made her way to the kitchen.

Before I could follow her Amy tapped my cheek. She wanted to say something.

"Yes baby?", I asked.

Amy signalled me a flight through her left hand. Why will she she talk about about an aeroplane right now? Does she wants to travel somewhere?

"Rain, any is signing an aeroplane with her hand. What does that mean?", I asked Rain feeling quite embarrassed and helpless.

"She is talking about that drone you bought her. She wants to know when will she play with it.", Rain stated as she continued looking for things in the kitchen.

"So that drone you are talking about right now. We will play with it tomorrow morning as right now it is in the car. I promise you.", I stated and Amy nodded her head.

I made my way to the kitchen with her still in my arms. I looked at the petite form of Rain. The shirt was twice her size making her look even smaller. I couldn't help but think how she will look in my t-shirt? My lips stretched upwards just at the thought. She would definitely look adorable.

But again the thought of her wearing someone else's shirt invaded my mind. My so called small smile fell and gloominess took over me.

I placed Amy on the counter. As I made my way to Rain.

"Whose shirt is it?", I asked. My tone came out to be a bit more harsher than I anticipated.

Rain turned back in my direction. Her eyes wide. I think she didn't expect that from me.

"Pardon?", she asked. Her forehead furrowed.

I took a step closer to her closing the gap between us. I encircled my arms around her waist.

"Aren't you doing it way to much today?", Rain asked. I know she was indicating to me holding her waist.

"I like it.", I said in a husky tone. No ounce of shame in my voice.

Rain's cheeks redden standing against her pale skin and white shirt.

Shirt! Was she trying to distract me? Well Rain Carter nice try.

"Whose shirt is it and don't you dare change the topic", I asked.

"I wasn't changing the topic.", Rain stated and pouted.

"Yes you were.", I growled.

"No"

"Yes"

"No"

"Yes"

We both heard a clap and stopped our bickering. Amy was clapping to stop us. This gave me a feeling of deja Vu.

I heard Rain sigh as she made her way to Amber. She said something to Amy making her laugh as she picked her up. She stood directly in front of me.

"This is Sam's shirt.", she said. A knot set in my stomach. Was he her lover. I should have broken a few bones of him.

"Was he your lover?", I asked. My tone emotionless.

"Goddess! He is my distant cousin. We were always connected through phone. It was only after I turned seventeen that he moved here.", she said. I stopped the smile that was about to stretch on my lips. I don't want her to know how much her words relieved me.

"Wait, were you jealous.", she asked. Her eyes shinning with amusement.

Heck yes!

"No. I wasn't. Just curious.", I stated. I made sure my tone wasn't defensive.

Rain wanted to say something but I quickly changed the topic.

"What are we making?", I asked. My tone a bit rushed.

Rain smirked at my attics but I ignored it. I couldn't do much at that moment.

"We will be making homemade pizza.", she stated and Amber clapped her hands. She liked the idea. Though I wasn't a big fan of pizzas in the first place but if she likes it then it is fine with me.

So the preparation started with me cutting the veggies and Rain kneading the dough and making her secret pizza sauce that was nothing but fresh tomato puree with some herbs and a bit of mayo.

Soon the pizza was ready as we all settled down on the couch to have it as Rain was too lazy to go to the dinning room.

It was more of a double cheese pizza as both Rain and Amy were big fans of cheese. While my cheese consumption was mere. But for their happiness I had it.

The pizza was delightful. I really loved it. Soon dinner came to an end and we all had ice cream.

I went to the kitchen to keep the ice cream bowls as Rain followed me.

"Damien I just want to tell you that Amber is a precocious child. We will tell her everything but I can't tell you how will she take it.

I simply nodded my head as we both went back to the living room. We settled on the couch as Rain took Amy on her lap.

"Amber do you want a dad?", Rain asked Amy not even trying to hit around the bush. So I assumed she already knew the concept of dad.

Amy was hesitant but nodded her head. She looked at Rain suspiciously.

"Amber, Damien is your dad.", Rain stated. Their was pin drop silence in the room. But after a moment Amy started clapping. She looked happy.

That means she.....

Amy jumped in my arms as she cuddled with me. I shed a tear in utter happiness.

Amy pointed towards me and than towards herself and interlocked both her fingers. Indicating we would be together and I couldn't help but nod. I was at loss of words.

"I love you baby and I promise you I will always try to keep you happy. Both you and Rain.", I stated and Amy nodded her head while Rain just passed me a smile.

"Amy will you sleep with dad?", I asked her. But she shook her head. My face fell a bit.

Okay Damien baby steps.

Amy took my hand and also Rain's hand that was lying on her lap. I couldn't understand what she meant. She showed Rain her puppy eyes and I heard Rain sigh. What the f*could is going on? Can someone tell me?

"She wants to sleep in middle of both of us.", Rain explained. I just nodded my head not knowing what to say. I didn't want to pressurize Rain in doing anything she don't want.

"Can we both sleep in your room tonight.", Rain asked shyly. As if she never thought she would say something like this.

"Sure.", I said without missing a beat and I was greeted with Rain's melodic laughter.

Soon Rain disappeared with Amber to her room upstairs so that she could brush Amber and her teeth. While I went to my room to do my business. Soon they both entered my room and without a word we laid on the bed in the same way we slept yesterday night. With Amber in between us.

Amy turned in my direction and snuggled in me. I smiled lazily at her.

"She took it very well.", Rain said in a whisper.

"Yes.", I replied in the same tone.

"Good night Damien.", she said softly.

"Night angel.", I said as I saw Rain close her eyes and fall asleep.

"I love you Amy.", I said softly to Amber as I brushed a few strands falling on her face.

With that I closed my eyes but never fell asleep. Today was a day to remember.
