"That is all.", I stated coldly.

I scanned the room to see if anyone doubted my plans or worst was there to challenge my decision.

I looked around to see non of the people in the conference wanted to say anything. Good.

"Dismiss.", I stated and all people like lump of sugar in a child's mouth melted away.

Only one man stayed in the room as expected, Mr Ross aka Rebecca's father. He looked nervous and I knew full well why he looks nervous.

I raised my eyebrow at him. He simply gulped and now it was irritating me. Why the f*ck can't he speak.

"What?", I growled.

His eyes widened and I saw his adam apple bobbed. He started rubbing his palms as I know they were sweaty.

"Mr Black, do you know where my daughter is?", he asked.

I smirked. Calm down Damien he is not supposed to know. How do I explain him that his daughter is no more in this world?

"I don't know where she is.", I stated while keeping a blank facade.

"But how? She last left for your house.", he asked making a confused face.

I pinched the bridge of my nose. The only thing I want to do at this moment is to get the f*ck out of here and spend some quality time with Amber. This bloke is now irritating me.

"Go take help of the police to find your daughter.", I stated.

"But...."

Before he could complete the sentence. I left the conference hall. Not like he can do anything. I own this town and the police is in my pocket. So I have simply nothing to fear about.

I made my way to my cabin. Seeing me, my assistant Jord stood from his seat that was placed outside my cabin. I don't keep a woman as my assistant as they are annoying. Way to annoying. I like to keep my private life away from personal life. But not like I had a great personal like till the time Amber came along.

Amber, her name is enough to bring a smile on my face. My daughter, my princess. She is so sweet and just the opposite of me. Though she looks more like me, her phenotype are that of her mother.

My thought were interrupted by a call. I looked it was Marie, the head maid of the house. I frowned. She has never called me before.

Wait, has Rain left the house with Amber? No Damien keep these thoughts at bay. I hastily picked up the phone meanwhile composing myself.

"What?", I stated rudely but they all full well know about my rudeness.

"Sir, Ms Rain has fainted on the ground and her body is burning. Also Ms Amber has not stopped crying since she has woken up.", she stated hurriedly.

My heartbeat quickened. I don't know why but along with Amber I was worried about Rain.

"Listen to me carefully, I am sending a doctor home and make Amber calm down. I will be there soon.", I stated and cut the call.

I called my driver and doctor. I quickly made my way down to find that the driver was already there. I quickly got in the car as he drove to my house.

Soon I was standing at the door of my house. I punched in the code as the door opened up. I looked around to see the servants were running around.

As Marie saw me, her eyes widened.

"Where are they?", I asked coldly. She quickly muttered that she was in her room. I nodded my head as I made my way to Rain's room. I opened the door to see Rain was in the centre of the bed. A wet piece of clothing was kept on her forehead. She was sweating and her body was slightly shivering.

How the hell she suddenly had fever. I made my way to her and gently, a word I have learnt a few weeks ago, placed my hand on her forehead not before removing the cloth. She indeed had a high fever.

Where the f*ck is the doctor?

The I heard the door opening up, I turned around to see Marie with a bowl of cold water in her hand.

"Where is Amber?", I asked her.

"Lia and Heather have taken them to her room so that the poor child don't catch cold from her.", she stated.

"I am going to Amber's room. When the doctor comes inform me.", I stated as I left the room.

I quickly made my way to Amber's room. I twisted the golden knob at the door as I entered the room.

"Amber if you stop crying I will get you a chocolate."

The maid whose name for f*ck sake I couldn't remember cooed to Amber. But it only made her cry louder. I couldn't hear her sobs but I knew full well she was full fledged crying.

"Leave.", I growled and as soon as they heard my voice, they quickly left the room.

I cautiously made my way to her.

"Amber..", I stated softly but loud enough for her so that I could catch her attention.

I sat on the bed as I hoisted Amber and made her sit on my lap. She didn't complain this time and I couldn't be more glad.

"What is wrong princess?", I asked her softly.

She looked at me with her big eyes and did she just wait glare at me? I wanted to chuckle. No one has ever glared at me but I kept my mouth shut as I looked at her tearful eyes. Her nose was red and I felt real bad for my baby.

She pointed towards the door and then using her fingers brushed her hair. I was confused. I couldn't understand what she meant. She furiously brushed her hair and soon tears started pouring out of her eyes.

"Shhh baby shhh.", I cooed her but to no avail. I need to think quickly. I looked around the room to distract her and my eyes fell on the window. The moon was shinning brilliantly. Then I remember an incident at the hospital. Let's try it out.

I picked up Amber in my arms and brought her near the window. She has stopped crying and was looking at me questionably.

"Do you know what is that big round thing?", I asked. Amber looked at me,then looked outside and then nodded her head. She looked at her fingers, fumbled with them and then made a 'M' with her finger.

"Do you mean moon?", I asked her and she nodded her head.

"And do you see the stars?", I asked her and she again nodded her head. I looked her and she has calmed down by now. She was looking at the dark sky and pointing towards the different stars. I looked outside with pride that I could calm her down. I mentally patted my back. Well done!

I felt her tiny fingers softly touch my cheek and I looked down at her. This time she gently brushed her locks with finger. What does she mean?

I decided to make a guess.

"Are you talking about your mom?", I asked her and she eagerly nodded her head.

Before I could answer her, there was a knock on the door and Marie entered informing me that the doctor was checking Rain. I made my way to her room with Amber in my arms.

As I opened the door, I noticed thatthe doctor has done with the checking. The doctor put down his stethoscope and turned in my direction.

"What is wrong with her?", I asked the doctor. He gulped and ran his hand through his grey hair. God I am not even doing anything and it looks like he will s*it in his pants.

"Speak.", I growled. I looked at my shoulder to see Amber has placed her head there and was making herself comfortable.

"Mr Black, she just has a high fever and her blood pressure is also low. I have given her a dose of paracetamol and she will be fine. I will take my leave now.", the doctor stated before leaving the room.

I dismissed all the maids. Once they all have left the room I made my way to Rain. By now Amber has slept on my arms. She must be tired because of all the crying. Rain was sleeping on the side so I placed Amber in the centre and secured the other end with pillows.

A question lingered in my mind. She was fine till morning then how she suddenly had fever. She didn't even leave the house. Otherwise I should have known it. Wait her cousin, what is her name, yeah Lila visited today.

I looked in Rain's direction and sighed. Something is fishy here. I took out the phone from my pocket and dialed Pear's number. He picked up in two rings. Good. As it is I am not a patient man.

"Yes boss.", he said from the other side of the line.

"Mail me the CCTV footage of the morning when Lila visited the house.", I stated and cut the phone.

I have CCTV camera in the house. Not in the rooms but in the places like garden, kitchen and living room.

I made my way to Rain's side. She has tear stains on her pale cheek. Her skin was ashen as if see was dead. My doubts were confirming. Something has definitely happened and it irked me. I don't know why but first I was worried and now I am angry just because she was crying. I felt confused but I didn't give it much thought.

I touched her soft cheek and sighed. This feeling I can't explain it. It is too different. I have never felt this feeling before.

"I don't know Rain what to say but I promise you one thing that who ever has made you cry will pay for it.", I stated.

A notification popped on my screen. Pear has sent the footage. I opened the mail and watched it. As the video continued my anger has sky rocketed. I took a deep breath to calm myself down. Next I called Dante.

"I want you to search this girl whose photo I am sending you that so to quickly. You have two hours for that.", I stated and cut the phone.

I didn't plan to eat anything as the video made me lose my appetite. I went in my room, took a quick shower and changed my cloths. I wore a white t-shirt and ripped jeans. As I made my way downstairs my phone rang. It was Dante

"Yes.", I stated.

"Sir we have found her. I am sending you her address.", Dante stated.

"Reach there with your team but don't do anything till the time I don't reach there.", I ordered and cut the phone.

I decided to take my Tesla and drove out of the mansion. I was prepared. I had my gun and my favorite knife with me.

It took me half an hour to reach there. As I reached the house I found my men already standing there. Antony asked me if we were to ring the bell or break the door and I chose the latter. Lets take her by surprise. One of my men broke the door as I entered.

She must be asleep. I thought to myself. I signalled my men to search for her.

"Ahhh...."

I heard a female's scream and soon my men came down with her. Her hands were tied at her back and a cloth was tied on her mouth. I signalled my men to make her sit on her couch. She started trashing. David looked in my direction and I nodded my head.

David landed a tight slap on Lila's right cheek. The sound of the slap was the only sound that could be heard in the house.

"Remove the cloth.", I stated and immediately David removed the cloth. Lila started coughing and some blood spilled out of her mouth.

"Wh-at do you w-want?", Lila asked shakily. I let go of a dry chuckle. Her death is standing in front of her and she is asking such foolish questions. I took out my gun and pointed it in her direction. Her breathing rate increased and she started sweating.

"You know because of what you said Rain is suffering. She has a high fever and even Amber was crying seeing her mother in pain.", I started.

"They de-eserve it.", she stated more like stammered. Frightened but this confident. Bold, I see.

"You know what I never had a family and now I have a daughter whom I love unconditionally and she loves her mother more than anyone. So Antony what does Rain becames to me?", I asked without looking back.

"Family boss.", Antony stated.

"Correct and in our line of business family comes first. So darling you need to be punished.", I stated softly.

She gulped and anxiously looked in my direction.

"Wh-hat sor-t of punish-ment?", she asked.

"In our line of business there is only one punishment, death darling death.", I stated with a smirk and tears start flowing from her eyes because of fear.
