《A Royal feald trip- a miraculous ladybug fanfic- discounted》Part 25

Marinette wondered the hotel hallways thinking over what her friends said. Marinette knew that she needed to ask Kagami out before her birthday, where she would be crowned princess. She had till March 12th to do so. She had to ask Kagami out before she was crowned, or she would never know if Kagami liked her or her title. Luckily that was still about a month away. However, Marinette knew how fast a month could slip through her fingers, with all the clothes she is making, all her classes, the plane flights, and Akumas, and everything in between. She knew that there wasn't enough time for taking the long way about this. When she had a crush on Adrien there was never a time limit for her affections, with Luka he asked her, and with her brief felling for Chat, they came as fast as they went, but Kagami... everything is a different story.
With Kagami, she feels calm, she is excited, she wants to always see her smile, she feels safe and protected. With Kagami, there is never enough time before, they part. With Kagami, nothing feels like enough. With Kagami... With Kagami, Marinette can't hesitate. Just like Kagami said. For once, Marinette had made up her mind.
However, as Marinette passed the hallways, she missed the other bluenette watching, in concern. Marinette turned around to see Kagami standing right in front of her. Her cheeks turned flaming red.
"Mari-hi-Chan, Mari-Chan" Kagami sputtered out, "Are you ok, you've been..."
Kagami however was cut off, by Mari yelling very fast, "I'm in love with you! Will you go get ice cream with me?"
Kagami, after knowing Marinette for a couple of years, learned to understand her exited rambles, jumbled up statements, and most importantly her fast talking. Her eyes grew wide, blush rose, and she was in shock. Marinette loved her, the woman she was madly in love with, to the point where her mother knew, loved her.

Marinette, however, took Kagami's silence, wide eyes, and blush as Kagami didn't like her. "I'm sorry Kagami, I know I made it weird between us now. I shouldn't have said anything, I'll ask Mrs. Bustier if we can change partners, so we don't have to share the same room all year." Marinette told her defeated.
"Why on earth would you do that?" Kagami asked confused at her loves statement.
"Cause it would be awkward." Marinette replied, now confused as well.
"Why would, us going on a date make our living arguments awkward? Adrien and Luka are fine with it, along with many of our classmates." Kagami asked again still confused.
"You want to go on a date with me? I though... well you got so quiet, and your eyes... you really want to go on a date with me?" Marinette replied even more confused.
"Mari-Hime, I would be ecstatic to go on a date with you. I have had romantic feelings for you, for a while now. I just couldn't decide on how to ask you, you're so special and deserve something special." Kagami explained.
"Oh," Marinette giggled.
"Your laughter is breath taking Mari-hime." Kagami commented.
After giggling a bit more she responded, "Thanks, by the way, um... what do you keep calling me? It is different. You usually call me Mari-Chan not Mari-hime."
"It is a different title in Japanese." Kagami replied with more blush added.
"I figured that, Gami. What does it mean?" Mari told her laughing.
"It... it means princess. While it is usually used for the royals, it is also sometimes given to romantic partners." Kagami explained, avoiding Mari's eyes, though that wasn't all around odd for Kagami. Kagami was autistic after all. They found that out after the Paris therapy mandate. They also found out that Mari had ADHD, and that Max also was autistic.

"Well in that case, should we go get some ice cream, Yu Jie?" Marinette asked.
"Who is Yu Jie?" Kagami asked Marinette.
"Well, you gave me a nickname in Japanese, so I gave you one in Chinese. I mean, if you don't like it, I'll stop Gami." Mari told her feeling bad about her nickname idea.
"I am more than happy about your nickname, Mari-hime, I just didn't know what it was. Now, let's go get some ice cream Princess." Kagami told her.
"Ok, Gami, I saw this place. Right down the street, we can walk there." Marinette told her.
"Lead the way." Kagami replied.
Together the pair happily walked down to the ice cream shop.
"So, what kind are you going to get Kagami?" Marinette asked.
"I'm not sure, Andre's soulmate ice cream kind of took away the need to find out what ice cream I like." Kagami replied.
"Yeah, I get what you mean. With him he picks the ice cream for you." Marinette agreed.
"What will you get, Mari-hime?" Kagami asked the girl next to her.
"I don't know, but the cream sickle sounds good." Mari replied.
"What is cream sickle?" Kagami asked the bluenette.
"It is like an orange... dairy, popsicle thing. It is a little hard to explain." Mari answered the other bluenette.
"What would you suggest for me, Mari-hime?"
"Um... well you don't like things really sweet, so maybe death by chocolate, it is mostly dark chocolate."
"Very well, shale we order?" Kagami asked back.
"Yeah, let's," The new couple walked up to the counter, "I'll have the chocolate rainbow sprinkle ice cream cone with cream sickle, 3 scoops, thank you." Mari ordered.
"I will have the chocolate rainbow sprinkle ice cream cone with death by chocolate, 3 scoops, thank you." Kagami ordered, pulling out her wallet.
"No, Kagami, I'm paying." Mari said to her.
"That wouldn't be treating you like the princess you are Mari-hime, I'm paying." Kagami said.
"No, I asked you out, I pay." Mari argued back.
By now the man who took their orders was back with their cones, commenting on the pair, "First date, I see."
"Mari-hime, Mother sent me with plenty of money, let me pay." Kagami, continues to argue.
"I have plenty of money, Gami, the bakery is the most famous in Paris, plus my own commissions." Mari squabbled.
"I'm not saying that you do not have money, Mari-hime, I am just trying to be gentlemen- well womanly." Kagami replied.
"Oh, for the love of all that is holy! I'll pay for the ice cream, just take it, and stop holding up the line. It doesn't matter who pays!" The guy at the counter lost it.
Mari and Kagami looked eyes and knew what they were going to do, "Sorry," Mari paid for the two of them. "And for out disagreement holding up the line, I would like to offer to buy your teats." Kagami told the people in line behind them.
Once everything was paid, they quickly left the ice cream store, quickly laughing, eating the ice cream as it melts down their hands.

Surprisingly, in the fantasy LitRPG genre. A girls death forms the foundation for a plan centuries in the making. But when she shakes off their control, and forces the plans of beings millenia old to change, can she avoid being tied up as a loose end? With only what she could take with her in her mind, and a new body with surprising depths, she begins her new life in a world unlike her own. This is my first writing project in almost a decade, so there is going to be a lot of improvements from me as I shake off the rust. And of course, as the world I'm creating comes to life! So if you like the concept, please bear with me, and hopefully I'll reach the high standards I know you have. Edit (04/04/2018): Witness the power of my complete lack of any artistic talent! There is now cover art for this fiction. Its just barely better than the default, but hey, minimalism is in, right?

Tales from the Triverse
Tales from the Triverse is part detective drama, part fantasy adventure and part space opera. I’m influenced by the likes of Iain M Banks, Isaac Asimov and ND Stevenson and work including The Wire and Gotham Central. It begins with an incident two hundred years ago which crashed three parallel universes together. Portals open up in 18th century London, sending England down a very different path. We pick up events in the 1970s, with the Metropolitan Police having established a new department to handle portal-related criminal activity. The story is about intolerance, immigration, multiculturalism and power. It’s about what happens when incompatible viewpoints are weaponised to seed discontent, and the efforts of some to create a fairer world. In the tradition of the best science fiction, fantasy and crime fiction, I’m using the setting to examine themes that matter to me in the real world. Who is it for?If you like science fiction or fantasy, or a mix of both, this is for you. It’s my first foray into crime fiction, but I hope if you’re a fan that you’ll enjoy yourself - especially if you’re looking for something a bit different. I write fiction that is optimistic, progressive and empathetic. Bad things can happen to good people in the stories, but the overall arc tends to be hopeful. Note that if it were a movie, Tales from the Triverse would be a 15 certificate in the UK.
