1. Soviet had a lot of satellite states. Which one do you think was the favorite?

Mongolia: Well, hopefully, it's me! At least... That's what I like to believe, I'm sure he doesn't have favorites and he treats his communist comrades equally. Although, I was his first after all.

2. What was it like during your republic days?

Mongolia: Well, it's a long story, when-

...

Mongolia: You know what? ... I'm just gonna show you!

-Flashback

...

Булган: BROTHER! You have to take a look at this!

Улаанбаатар: ... Oh no... This is bad.

Сэлэнгэ: I know! I have never seen such horrible news...

The trio skimmed and scanned through the newspaper with nervous expressions. More people burst through the door in rush. Soon all the provinces gathered in one place.

Өвөрхангай: *Pant* Guys! You won't believe what we are gonna about to tell you!

Сэлэнгэ: We know, we read it already.

She handed the newspaper to him, and he also took his time reading with the rest of his siblings.

Сүхбаатар: Ugh... I don't like where this is going.

Булган grabbed his big brother's arm and began shaking him in anxiousness. Everybody shared the same feelings and concerns.

Булган: How would elder brother feel when he finds out about this?

Улаанбаатар: H-He doesn't have to know, we can just keep it a secret.

Архангай: You know that is impossible, he'll know something is up.

Улаанбаатар: Then we'll just keep our mouths shut, alright!? No one utters a word!-

He got interrupted by the sound of a door slamming. They turned their heads to see Mongolia walking in.

Mongolia: What's with all the commotion in here?

Завхан: N-Nothing, brother. We were all just having a... discussion! Yeah, a discussion.

Mongolia: About what topic?

...

No one could find an excuse and they all began to sweat. Mongolia sighed and took a seat.

Mongolia: I know what you were all talking about... It's the new policies that JERK FACE! Qing has established. Damn those Manchu bastards...

Булган walked to Mongolia and nudged his shoulder a little.

Булган: What are we going to do? Will we lose a part of our land?

Mongolia: I... I'm not sure...

Дундговь: There is no doubt they are gonna colonize from the South side!

Дорноговь: And when they do, they're going to demolish our homes and create new households!

Өмнөговь: Then we'll be exiled! I don't want Manchu people living here!

The rest shook by the triplets anticipation. Mongolia patted their heads and comforted them with false promises.

Говь-Алтай: We can't just let them do this without our permission. Soon, we'll meet the same fate our cousin did!

Mongolia: What do you suppose we do? Qing has complete rule over us... We do whatever he tells us and he keeps the Hans in their states.

Увс: But they are not! They're planning to immigrate Chinese here! Which contradicts what Qing promised us. It isn't fair!

Баянхонгор: Since when was he ever? That guy has this awful hierarchy system, and apparently, we seem to be at the bottom pit!

Mongolia: Look, what do you want me to do?

Улаанбаатар: Tell that Манж новш NO!

Mongolia: Улаанбаатар!

Улаанбаатар: Well, it's the truth, he is one.

Mongolia: Even if I did tell him that, do you have any idea how brutal his punishments are? He'll torture us!

Архангай: So? It's better than giving up.

They all nodded their head in agreement, and Mongolia's eyes widened.

Mongolia: Oh... You're all serious, aren't you?

Булган: Indeed we are!

Mongolia: Okay then, what if I told you China was organizing his own revolution? We can use this chance to overthrow Qing and reclaim what was once ours.

Сэлэнгэ: That sounds like a terrific idea!

Mongolia: Great! We're gonna need help though, and we are not gonna ask assistance from China, they're rather untrustworthy.

Дорнод: Then who are we gonna ask?

Mongolia: Another neighbor who's also close to us!

...

Mongolia paced around, waiting for the person he is expecting to be here. And that person put their hand on his shoulder.

Mongolia: Oh! You came... Wait, you are not Russian Empire.

???: Nope, I'm his son, call me Soviet Union.

He offered his hand to shake, and Mongolia accepted it. His skin color was red, and he had an eyepatch on his right eye.

Mongolia: My name is Mongolia, it's nice to meet you Soviet Union. What happened to your father? I was kind of asking for him.

Soviet Union: Ah, he... Passed away.

Mongolia: Oh... I'm sorry to hear that.

Soviet Union: That's fine. I got your message, you are declaring independence against Qing, are you not?

Mongolia: Yes! I am. So you have received my envoy!

Soviet Union: Yes, I've come here to aid you, Mongolia.

Mongolia: Splendid!

Soviet Union: But, on one occasion.

Mongolia: Anything!

Soviet Union: Once you remain an independent country, you must adapt to my economical system.

Mongolia: Alright, sounds easy enough.

...

And so Mongolia and all his siblings began learning the Cyrillic alphabet and acknowledging much more. With the help of Soviet Union, they driven away the Manchus in Mongolia's territory.

...

A decade later, Mongolia was facing confusion. There were two types of army known as The Red Russian and the White Russian, also called "Whites". The Whites was a loose confederation of anti-communist forces that fought the communists also known as the Reds, in the Russian Civil War. Thinking the Whites were a part of Soviet, Mongolia let them occupy Хүрээ. As soon as he found out the Whites were the enemies of Soviet, Mongolia drove out not only the Whites, but the Chinese along with it.

Soviet Union consequently criticized the Mongolian Communists for implementing the collectivization in a similar way as in the Soviet Union, forcing Mongolia to shift to the so-called "New Course" and abandon the noncapitalist path, including collectivization, for the time being.

Mongolia: Soviet! The Japanese are closing in on us from the East Side!

Soviet Union: Send out the soldiers, we must defend the land before they progress any further!

At the Халхын гол, the Japanese were advancing slowly, that is until Soviet and Mongolian armies were there to push them back.

Дорнод: We did it, Brother! The Japanese forces have fled the battlefield. Do you think they'll come back?

Mongolia: Well, if they do... Then we'll just fight again.

...

In Moscow, Soviet and his companions were discussing about the pacific war. Once the meeting was over, Soviet wanted to talk with China, privately.

Republic of China: You wanted to see me, sir?

Soviet Union: Yes, I need to talk to you.

Republic of China: About what?

Soviet Union: About Mongolia.

Republic of China: Oh! I'm so glad, I've been planning to ask you about him all day! I think it's about time I reclaim Outer as mine.

Soviet Union: No, it's not that. I think you should recognize Mongolia's resolution of being an independent country.

Republic of China: No, I don't want to!

Soviet Union: Listen, Китай. Mongolia also helped you win against the Japanese, the least you can do is repay that favor by letting that country be, alright?

China: ...!?

Soviet Union: I trust you'll do the right decision.

...

Mongolia: Hey, Soviet.

Soviet Union: Yes, Монголия?

Mongolia: I wanted to thank you for turning me into an independent country, I didn't think it would be possible.

Soviet Union: No problem.

Mongolia: Though, I'm still bummed out about China claiming Inner Mongolia, and did you really have to take Tuva from me?

Soviet Union: Well, you can't have everything. Tuva wished to be with me.

Mongolia: I know. So... What now? The war is over and I don't know what to do next.

Soviet Union: War Isn't quite over for me, however, don't worry your head. You just focus on yourself and your people.

Mongolia: Sure.

...

That day, Mongolia, now known as Mongolian People's Republic (MPR) shifted to postwar development, focusing on civilian enterprise. MPR was at this time one of the world's most isolated countries, having almost no contact with any nation outside of the Soviet Union. After the war, international ties were expanded and MPR established relations with North Korea and the new Communist states in Eastern Europe.

Czechoslovakia: Ahoj Mongolsko!

MPR: Hi Czechoslovakia, are you doing well?

Czechoslovakia: Yup!

MPR arrived in Moscow to meet Soviet's other comrades. One walked toward MPR and pocked his back.

MPR: Oh, hello, who are you?

North K: My name is North Korea!

MPR: I remember you! I knew your parents well. Are you doing alright after what Imperial Japan did to you?

North K: 예, I'm rebuilding.

MPR: Good to hear. How is your brother doing?

North K: My brother? ... I don't want to talk about him.

???: North! Who are you talking to?!

Another country got between them, MPR recognized him right away.

MPR: Hey, I know you! You are People's Republic of China.

PRC: Ah! I remember you too, you are Outer MPR. You belonged to Qing and you were supposed to be one of my states.

MPR: ...

North K: ...

North Korea worriedly glanced at MPR. His fists were clenched hard and North thought about defusing the tension by bringing up another topic.

PRC: Well, see ya!

He left in a hurry not realizing he triggered someone. MPR sighed and North apologized to him.

North K: Hey, sorry about him. He has this sort of knack for pissing people off.

MPR: It's fine... Let's meet the others.

...

PRC: You know Soviet, sometimes I have this fantasy where Outer MPR would reintegrate with me.

Soviet Union: You can throw all those thoughts away then, because it's never gonna happen. And he goes by MPR now.

China kept bugging Soviet about reclaiming MPR, to which he was starting to lose patience. China showed a presentation on why giving MPR his independence was a mistake.

Soviet Union: Китай, MPR is free to decide his own fate. If he was willing to join you, then I would gladly allow it without question or consent.

PRC: Then if that was the case, why didn't you allow MPR to be a part of you when he enthusiastically asked you?

Soviet Union: He doesn't know what he is talking about, he needs guidance to realize he alone has everything under control. He needs to learn to do things without help, and maybe he can learn to assist others.

PRC: Lies! You just needed someone to come between you and me! He is like an annoying wall that separates us. You must despise me so much to let this happen!

Soviet Union: Enough, China!

...

After the beginning of the Sino-Soviet Split, MPR briefly vacillated but decided to stand with Soviet. Being one of the first socialist countries to endorse the Soviet position in the quarrel with China.

MPR: You and China have been fighting a lot, it isn't because of me, is it?

Soviet Union: I won't lie, you have some involvement. Don't blame yourself, you have no fault in this.

MPR: Are you sure? I can talk to him if you want.

Soviet Union: It's not needed, just focus on your industries... Come to think of it, I'm a part of this wonderful organization, a kind of corporation that you might be interested in. You should join, you would fit right in.

MPR: Really?

...

With Soviet's encouragement, MPR increased its participation in communist-sponsored conferences and international organizations. He attempted to join the United Nations, however, that request was denied by Republic of China. China used his Security Council veto only once, to stop the admission of the Mongolian People's Republic to the United Nations in 1955 on the grounds it recognized all of MPR as part of him.

MPR: What? What do you mean I can't join?

UN: I'm sorry, but you're not a country. Are you not China's sovereign state?

MPR: No, I am not!

UN: Well, I'm sorry, you seem nice and all, but I can't let you in until further information that proves you're a country.

MPR: I... I understand.

Disappointed, he walked back and thought about the idea of China using his old map to hold possession over him.

MPR: That новш!

...

Soviet Union: MPR? What is wrong? Why do you seem so down? Did the meeting go well?

MPR: No, I didn't stay for it.

Soviet Union: Why?

MPR: Because my request was disapproved.

Soviet Union: How? UN lets any countries in.

MPR: Perhaps you should go ask him. I'm gonna go home.

MPR walked away and Soviet got angered. He barged into the base of UN and confronted him.

Soviet Union: Hey, what is your reason for rejecting MPR's membership?

UN: China stated that he had all claims of him.

Soviet Union: Нет! He does not.

UN: Listen, can this wait? I have more paperwork and requests to work over. Now would you kindly leave the room? I need to look over Africa's decolonized states.

Soviet grabbed and flipped the whole table over, catching UN by surprise. Papers flew everywhere and the sound of glass shattering was heard.

Soviet Union: No! I'm blocking all the admissions! Until Монголия is admitted, no one is accepting any new membership!

...

Soviet made sure China to never veto MPR again. In 1961, MPR was finally accepted by the UN, who was under pressured from Soviet's threat. He received the invitation and was thrilled to read the good news.

MPR: Soviet, look! I have been accepted, isn't that great?

Soviet Union: Hm, that's terrific, good job.

...

Soviet's collapse was coming near, and it affected MPR's composure. The Mongolian People's Revolutionary Party (MPRP), as the Communists are officially known, will face off against an opposition coalition. The elections culminate eight months of dramatic political liberalization in the landlocked nation of 2 million people... Political change is paired with a growing openness to the world. 85% of the vote won, MPR was finally renamed Mongolia.

...

-Flashback Ends

Mongolia: Come to think of it... China and Soviet had bad communication because of me... Ah... I feel terrible, and perhaps... Guilt. It was a hard moment when Soviet passed away, but it's nice to see his son, Russia, holding on.

Mongolia: I don't like to have favorites. But between you and me... I'd say it's South Korea. Don't tell anyone!

Mongolia: Now why on earth would he ever invade me? To answer your question. First, I'll talk it out with him... And if that doesn't work, then I'll just let him without fighting, I'm sure my siblings would very much like that.

7. What would you do if China tried to invade you?

Mongolia: Then I'll show him a resistance he'll never forget!
