《Scream (Billy Loomis x Reader)》Chapter 2

I woke up by the sound of my alarm alerting me it was 6:00 a.m. I got up quickly, grabbed some clothes, and hopped in the shower. I twisted the handle and impatiently waited for the water to get warm. Once I stepped in, the water was warm and calming. Just like I expected. I almost fell asleep in there if it weren't for my mom asking if I was okay.
"I'm okay!" I yelled.
After getting out of the shower I was immediately hit by cold air. At that point I was freezing and couldn't wait to put on my clothes. I quickly dried myself, then proceeded to put on my clothes.
It was 6:30 by the time I was out. With that, I walked down stairs, and greeted my mom.
"Good morning, hon!"
"Morning, Mom."
She handed me breakfast and attempted to make small talk with me.
"Are you nervous, Y/n?"
"Nervous? Why would I be nervous?" I asked sounding harsher than I intended.
"About going to a new school, of course!" she quickly replied.
"Why would I be, Mom? It's nothing new."
With that, she stopped talking, I felt bad until I heard,
"Don't be rude to your mother, Y/n. You should be grateful she's dealt with you all these years."
Even though he was right, he still had no right to say that considering he's only been married to her for a couple months. Still, he's lasted longer than the others, I thought. Plus, she was happier with him. I would just have to put up with him, for her.
"You're right. I'm sorry, Mom." I replied quietly.
"It's okay, hon! I understand." she replied with a smile.
"Oh! I forgot to say, Edward's going to take me to meet his boss. He's going to ask him to hire me. We won't be back until later tonight. You're going to have to walk back home. Are you okay with that, Y/n?" my mom explained.
"Yeah. That's okay, Mom. Good luck." I replied with a smile plastered on my face.
"Are you ready to go then?" she asked.
"Yeah. I'll go get my bag, hang on!" I yelled while rushing up the stairs.
On my way to school my mom explained what she would be doing if she got the job. She sounded excited and I was happy for her. She also explained that if she got the job it meant she wouldn't be home a lot. I was used to being left home alone, but still, I thought this time would be different. She continued talking about the job until we finally reached our destination. Woodsboro High. We got there around 7:15 which was lucky for me, it meant I had time to look for my classes.

I was getting ready to walk into my new school until I saw reporters surrounding it. 'What were they doing here?' I wondered.
I tried getting past them all until I heard one.
"Local teens Sidney Prescott and Randy Meeks were found killed yesterday in their homes. We're here at Woodsboro High with students mourning the death of their peers. With the anniversary of the Woodsboro murders coming up, students are questioning whether we have a copycat at hand."
'Randy Meeks'. Why did that name sound so familiar?
I wanted to ask around about the deaths but stopped myself. I had to find my classes. Plus, I didn't want to be insensitive. I eventually found my first class and walked in. This resulted in awkward stares. Fortunately for me, the teacher hadn't gotten there yet so I didn't have to introduce myself. I found an empty seat and quickly sat in it. A tall boy with dirty blond hair and blue eyes sat next to me. He was talking to other students about the deaths.
"I heard they were killed the same way Casey Becker and Steven Orth were!" was what a boy with blond hair and brown eyes said.
"I heard their throats were slit!" a read haired girl chimed in.
"It was probably a murder-suicide." a blond haired girl went on to explain how 'Sidney' was crazy just like her father. "Her Mothers 2nd year death anniversary is coming up. Maybe she just snapped. Like father, like daughter."
She was about to explain further until she was stopped by an old man walking into the classroom.
"That's enough from you. Listen, I understand we're all a bit shaken up by the recent deaths but it's nothing new. Let's just try to get this over with. Yeah?"
'It's nothing new.' what a strange thing to say after two students were just killed.
But from the looks of it, he was right. No one seemed affected by the deaths. Everyone was just joking about it all. It was almost as if they were used to it. Weird.
"Anyways, the principals going to call all of you up to ask you questions. Like last time. Just wait your turn."
He was right, during class about five students were called up. One of them being the dirty blond, blue eyed student sitting next to me. Once he came back I was called up. Weird. I just got here. Why am I being called up?

I walked into the office after three minutes of looking for it.
"You must be Y/n L/n. I'm so sorry about all of this. You must be confused." was what an old man who I assumed to be the principal said.
"Have you been finding your classes or do you need help with those?"
"I found my first class." was all I said.
Behind me was a police officer with brown hair. He cleared his throat as a way of saying 'Get to the point'.
"Right. As you probably know, I didn't just call you up to talk about classes. I wanted to talk to you about-"
"The two students who were murdered?" I interrupted.
"Right. Now I'm assuming you don't know much, all things considered. So, I just wanted to ask if you found any of the students acting suspiciously."
I explained to the principal about how I found no one suspicious and with that I left, but not before hearing him shout,
"Be careful out there, Y/n!"
My first class, that being math, was over once we were done talking, and with that I walked to my second class of the day. Science. I was a bit late to that class and saw two familiar faces. It was the red haired girl, sitting behind her was the blond haired girl. The ginger motioned for me to sit by her and I did.
"You were in our last class! You're new right? What's your name?" was what the ginger had asked me.
Before I had the chance to reply the blond haired girl interrupted me.
"I'm Mia, she's Sophia." she said while pointing to the ginger in front of her.
"Y/n."
"Well, Y/n, do you want to join us for lunch?" Sophia had asked.
"Sure."
The ginger smiled and the blond looked away annoyed.
The rest of the class was the same as math. No one was paying attention and they were all talking about the murders. The teacher seemed understanding so she let it slide. Once class was over I went to my third one, it was English. In there, I saw another familiar face. It was the blond haired boy with brown eyes. He sat next to a brown haired boy with brown eyes who seemed annoyed by everything he said. I tried my best to avoid the two but was spotted.
"New kid!"
Shit.
I turned around slowly and walked up to the two.
"Yeah?"
"Sit with us." he said in a demanding tone.
I was in no position to refuse. There were no other empty seats.
I sat next to the two. We exchanged names. The blonds name was Noah and the brown haired boy next to him was Billy.
The teacher was pretty strict so no one talked during class. A couple more students were called up during class, two of those students being Noah and Billy. Most of them returned but one didn't. He was probably ditching. The rest of the class went by smoothly and with that I started heading to lunch. It was a bit harder to find then I expected.
I saw both Mia and Sophia so I walked up to them. Sitting by the two of them was Billy and Noah, Once I got there, Sophia suggested that we all exchanged numbers and we did. After I exchanged numbers with Billy, Mia gave me an annoyed glare. I was getting ready to take a seat until I felt someone ruffle my hair.
"Hey, new kid!"
Behind me was the tall boy from my first class.
I later found out his name was Stu.
Once lunch was over I headed to my fourth class. History. In there I was met with both Billy and Stu. I sat two seats in front of Billy and Stu sat in a seat next to him. I think most people were intimidated by Billy. That's probably why they never sat by him. Nothing new or interesting happened in that class. After history I had Journalism. I had this class all to myself. No interruptions or distractions. Lucky me. Journalism was my favorite class. Having it all to myself was relaxing.
