Sidney races up the porch stairs, chest heaving from her rapid breathing.
"Sidneeey!" Randy's voice rang out from behind her.
She crouches over Dewey's body, quickly finding the weapon in his gun holster.
Randy limps over, holding onto his injured leg, "Sidney! Jesus, we've gotta get the fuck out of here!"
Sid aims the gun at him, "Stop right there."
Randy stopped in his tracks, "Don't shoot. It's me!"
Stu finally makes his appearance. He ran in from the left side of the yard, skidding to a halt in front of the squad car.
"I found Tatum. She's dead. I think Stu did it!" He accuses the boy behind him.
"Don't listen to him, Sidney!" Stu blubbers, pointing to Randy.
Sidney points the gun at Stu, "Stay back!" She warned as they began to approach her.
Randy had only moved closer to Sidney to try and create distance between him and Stu, whom he did not trust. He craned his neck to look at Stu while pointing at him, "Stu did it."
Stu was in hysterics, crying loudly, "He killed Billy. He killed my Tatum."
"You did it!" Randy shot back. He hopped up the porch steps, and Sidney carefully stepped back, making sure not to trip over Dewey's legs.
Stu yanks Randy's arm, pulling him off the stairs onto the ground. "He killed my Tatum!" Stu repeated.
"No, I didn't!" Randy insisted.
"You lie!"
Stu walks toward her, reaching out with cupped hands, "Sidney, baby, please, give me that gun. Give me that gun! Christ, man," He begs her.
Randy got back up, hobbling onto the steps, "No, I didn't! Sid, he did it! He did it, Sidney! Please, I didn't do it. He did it. Please! Please, Sidney." Stu and Randy continue to point at each other and push the blame onto the other.
You stumble upon the display of Stu and Randy arguing while Sidney keeps the gun pointed at them.
"Erm, what's going on here?" You ask, and they turn their heads in your direction.
Sidney lowers the firearm, not wanting to point the weapon at you.
Stu immediately goes over to you. He shakes your shoulders, "Hey, man, talk some sense into your sister. She's not thinking straight, okay? I didn't do anything. It was all Randy!" He proceeds to point at the said teen, but his words hardly register.

All you could do was stand there, frozen in place as you stared at the body on the porch–Dewey's body. You don't bother removing Stu's hands and wordlessly make your way to the porch.
You ignore Randy's pleas of innocence to Sid as you stand directly in front of Dewey's corpse. A thin slit was torn into his jacket from where he had been stabbed. Blood seeped into the fabric and pooled onto the floor.
Sidney looks between Randy and Stu, unsure who to believe. "Fuck you both!" She says, grabbing onto your wrist and pulling you inside the house with her. She wasn't going to risk the safety of you and her.
"No! No!" Stu cries out as she shuts and locks the front door in his face.
They incessantly bang on the door.
"Sidney! Open up!" Randy beseeches.
You can hear Stu make odd wailing noises as the door banging continues.
"Help me! He's going crazy. Sidney?" Randy claimed.
"Go away!" Sid shouts.
Randy persisted with the knocking, "Sidney?"
"Leave me alone," Her voice came out as a whisper.
You laced your fingers with hers, squeezing her hand to remind her you were there for her.
A pained groan came from the top of the stairs. You and Sid spin around and are met with the sight of Billy. His skin was a sickly pale shade, and he didn't look in much better shape than Sidney. His white shirt had red stains coming from the tears in the fabric, exposing his injured skin.
"Sid," He rasps out before tumbling down the stairs.
"Billy," You hear Sidney gasp next to you. She didn't know which was more shocking. Her boyfriend, who had died right in front of her, was no longer dead, or he was falling down the stairs after turning up alive.
You and Sidney rush over to him as soon as he gets to the bottom of the stairs.
"Oh, Billy. Billy," Sid says, unable to remain calm as she looks over him.
"Are you okay?" You foolishly ask.
"I'm okay," He groans, back arching from the steps he laid on.
You could practically hear Sidney's shaky breath as she assessed Billy. "I thought you were dead."
"No, I'm like a stuck pig, but I'm alright," Billy croaks.

You and Sid help him get up, "I'm okay," He assures.
"You're bleeding," You state, exasperated.
Billy limps toward the door, "We've gotta get help."
Sidney presses her back onto the door, hoping to stop Billy, "No! He's out there."
He leans on the door frame, "No, give me the gun. Give me the gun," Sidney allows him to take the gun out of her hand. "It's okay," He repeats three times, trying his best to reassure you both.
You and Sid step behind Billy as he unlocks the door, "Careful," You advise.
He opens the door and Randy storms in. "Please, help me," He begs.
"Woah! Come in, come in," Billy encourages. He shuts the front door without locking it again and has his back facing Randy.
"Stu's flipped out. He's gone mad!" Randy laments.
Billy slowly turns to face him, "We all go a little mad, sometimes," He whispers, lifting his arm to point the gun at him.
"No!" "Billy!"
"Oh, fuck," Randy mutters before he's shot on his shoulder. He flies back, crashing and breaking the table behind him. He rolls on the glass-covered ground, groaning in pain as you and Sidney rush to his side.
Billy inhales, scratching the side of his head with the gun. "Anthony Perkins, Psycho," He credits the actor and movie after quoting from it.
You and Sid turn your attention to Billy now that he's revealed his true colors.
He hums, licking the "blood" off of his finger, "Mmm, corn syrup. Same stuff they used for pig's blood in Carrie."
Your blood ran cold and you could feel your stomach churn. You couldn't believe you had pitied the boy before you. He played up his innocent act so well that you actually began to feed into his web of lies.
Sidney slowly shook her head, her face twisting into a look of horror as she tried to flee into the kitchen, dragging you along. She didn't get very far and ran straight into Stu, who stood in the kitchen doorway.
You couldn't quite decipher his facial expression. His eyebrows furrowed in a subtle, almost unnoticeable way, lips parted as if to say something or just in shock of Billy's confession of being the Ghostface killer. He hadn't even looked down at Sidney when she bumped into him, his eyes portraying a distant and forlorn look.
He could have fooled you if his expression hadn't been so empty--so hollow. People say you can never truly fake emotion because your eyes, the window to your soul, give away your true feeling. You're beginning to think they were right. His eyes were devoid of emotion. There was no sympathy, no fear, and most of all, no remorse.
"Stu, help us, please," Sid cried into his chest.
He finally looked down at her, revealing the device in his hand and bringing it up to his mouth, "Surprise, Sidney," He says with a gleeful smile. With a click of a button, the device warped his voice, altering it to sound like the voice from all of the disturbing phone calls.
You gulped a wad of spit down your throat, turning your head to look at Billy. He looked taken back by Stu's declaration, but it was all a part of their plan. Everything they had hoped to accomplish was coming together.
Sidney had pushed Stu aside, forcing her way into the kitchen with you following behind. Her hope was to weasel you and her out of the kitchen and leave through the back entrance/exit (depending on how you looked at it), but Billy's familiarity with the house came into play.
Stu remained at the back end of the kitchen while Billy made his way around, going into the living room that had previously been filled with drinking teens. The gun in his hand was trained on you and Sidney, as you and she almost made it through the doorway leading into the living room where Billy was shamelessly blocking the both of you from entering.
Stu threw the voice changer to Billy, and he caught it with his free hand."What's the matter? You both look like you've seen a ghost," He jeers, speaking into the device all the while holding a devious smile.
With no escape, you and Sidney are backed into a corner. Quite literally. You and Sidney back away from the killer–both of them, into the right side of the kitchen. Stu and Billy stalk towards you and her, surrounding you like vultures hovering over their prey.

Alive?
In the ruins of a once glorious city, a mage awakens. As the sole survivor(?) of the cataclysm that destroyed his entire species, he’s forced to adapt. While learning the intricacies of his new body, he must first carve out a place for himself in a familiar yet foreign world before he can set out to reclaim his heritage. I cannot stress this enough: the character is not human, do not expect him to react like one. I know the hand on the cover only has five finger, but I doubt I am going to find a royalty free radiography with two perfectly functional thumbs placed in a sensible way anytime soon. The rewrite is finished. Beta readers are welcomed and I am still wondering whether I should put the sci-fi tag or not.

The Curio Shoppe
Kellan Klein is an ordinary college student with an average, if traumatic and painful past. Everyone grows up grappling with depression and anxiety that seem to be genetic in a house with parents that, while loving, fight all the time and have weird ideas about what kids should and shouldn't do, right? Everyone deals with bullying, racism, judgement on their romantic inclinations and their family's economic status and just general shittiness, right? All of Kellan's friends sure did, and for all of them, entertaiment media were a welcome escape from their painful, dreary lives. After all, who wouldn't want to sail the seas with Monkey D. Luffy and the Strawhats, or help Meng Hao con increasingly powerful and influential people, or join Cecil Harvey and his friends on their weird journey to save the world, or make friends with Peter Parker while pretending to not know he was everyone's favorite wall-crawling superhero? Kellan certainly wanted to, and while he pursued college to seek out a career he saw himself enjoying, something felt inexplicably empty about his life. So when a decidely sinister force kidnaps him and the prettiest man he's ever seen saves his life and offers him his wildest dreams, Kellan becomes the shopkeeper of a mysterious, dimension hopping shop, complete with a system that helps him acquire items. abilities, materials, and other cool shit to stock it with, as well as some other neat perks. Will Kellan become a boring overpowered MC, like the kind from web fiction that he reads to sate his boredom? Will he keep his generally kind, sweet nature despite the shit he's gone through and will go through, or will he inexplicably become a scary, violent, irrational arrogant douchebag? Will he use his newfound abilities to explore the multiverse and improve the lives of himself and others, or will he become his own antithesis, a purely mercantile jerk obsessed with money and profit, with no concern for anything that doesn't help or hurt his business? Find out in The Curio Shoppe! Author's note: Please suggest possible setting he could visit in the comments. I'll gather ones i'm familiar with, and at the end of every arc, a poll will be held to decide the next location he visits. There will be polls for other purposes, and I might not always go with the poll winner if I feel one of the other options is more fun to read/write about. I will not use the settings of other RRL writers without their permission.Do not ask for that, unless the author in question gives permission. Most settings he visits will be slightly AU in some way or another, but please remind me if I drift too far from canon unintentionally or characterize a character wrongly. This work will eventually fit all tags I selected once he visits universes suited to those tags, so don't ask when or where a given tag is coming. I do not own the cover art, it belongs to Nicholas Belanger Thiel, and I will stop using it if he asks me to. Kellan doesn't look like the old man on the cover, though once he acquires a disguise-type ability he may occasionally use that appearance. The tapir, however, will be a thing, as despite looking like a failed attempt at an elephant, tapirs are cool and this dragon finds them to be kinda cute. The art, along with more of Nicholas's pieces, can be found at https://www.artstation.com/artwork/51bXz

Memoirs of the Broken
Book 1.5 of The World Shift series. This is not a tale of Heroes and Villains. This is not a story of love and hate. This will not give you hope. These are the memoirs of the broken, someone who denies his humanity. Delve deep into what mercy really means, and follow him as his faults are fixed. This is a parallel story, that runs alongside my other novel: Rejection. But is written very differently.

THIRTEEN (Evie's Perspective)
This is the 2003 movie, Thirteen, told from the perspective of Evie Zamora. We got Tracy's point of view, but what about Evie? Why did she do the things she did?I've seen a few different interpretations of Evie's perspective and I decided to give it a go. This is how I think Evie thought and the reasons behind why she did the things she did. This is NOT canon, just a fanfiction, and I am not affiliated with Thirteen or Catherine Hardwick in any way.
