Time is money and you're wasting both
➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖
Today is the first day of school. Where everyone is coming back from their family vacations, catching up with their friends, or even starting at a new school. The first and last weeks of school are weeks you should attend, after all they are the most exciting weeks of the school year. Now while most people are doing that Samaria Griffith is plotting the first week of school while getting ready as we speak.
First days, always the best day for making good first impressions. I have this whole week planned out perfectly and it should all pan out how I want if all goes exactly according to plan. But it's Mystic Falls and something is bound to happen here, something these simple minded people can't seem to comprehend.
If you couldn't already tell already I pretty much own Mystic High and everyone in it. Some people have come to terms with the fact that they can't just cross me and get away with it and others well, clearly not so much. Which brings me to the topic of Elena Gilbert, my rival.
Elena and I have probably been at each other's throats since middle school and probably will be till death do us part. Elena's hated me every since I moved here taking over her spot as the center of attention, and we've been enemies ever since.
Elena takes place as the fourth most popular, as her best friend Bonnie takes place as fifth, leaving her supposed best friend Caroline in third place, while my best friend and I occupy first and second. Me obviously taking first. Now I would love to continue on with the topic about me and how popular I am, but I have a high school to rule. Toodles.
After applying a bit more of lipgloss I stroll out of my room with my bag in my hand as I make my way downstairs to greet my older sister in the kitchen.
"Good morning T" I grinned whilst grabbing one of my pre-blended smoothies from the fridge.
"You seem extra happy today. First day of school I presume" Tiare predicts with a small smile before looking down to her phone.
"You presumed, correct. First day of school, first parties of the year, first impressions, and my favorite" I jump onto the counter crossing my legs.
"Fresh meat" I smirk evilly earning a chuckle and a shake of the head from my sister.
"You are something else" Tiare muttered before checking her watch and jumping up from her seat once she checked the time.
"I've got a meeting, I'll see you at dinner" She rushes out speeding to the door, but not before leaving a small peck on my cheek.

"Have a good first day" She yells behind her.
"Will do" I yell back just before she shuts the door. I sigh out breathlessly as another grin begins to stretch across my face.
"Let's get this day started" I say confidently whilst grabbing my bag and keys as I make my way out the door.
I've just pulled up to the school in my Mercedes Benz G wagon. I haven't even got out the car yet and people are already looking my way.
Well, this is it. Welcome to Mystic Falls High where it's Heaven for the popular and a personal Hell for the rest or I could be exaggerating a little bit, but that doesn't really matter. I mean yes, being the most popular of a high school full of selfish and judgmental teenagers, myself included, is pretty cool I guess. But being most popular of the town, now that's what I call fun.
Before I could even lock my car, my best friend Jacqueline tackles me in a huge hug squeezing me half to death. So here we are in the middle of the parking lot hugging like we're never going to see each other again as if we didn't just see each other less than 18 hrs ago.
Jac and I have been best friends since I moved to Mystic Falls in 6th grade. We've grown so close over the years, so close that people started to come up with the conspiracy of me and jac being lesbian lovers.
But, it's doesn't really matter. I mean if people don't assume that you're lesbian lovers, Are you really even best friends?
"Hola, Chica!" Jac greets once she finally lets go keeping me at arms length.
"Hola, Jac. How has my bestie been in the past 18 hrs we haven't seen each other" I greet sarcastically with a wide grin.
"Oh, Cállate" Jac scolded playfully before sticking out her tongue. I plucked her tongue before attempting to run away.
"Ay! Puta!" She shouted as she grabbed my wrist preventing me from running off. Jac pouted as I howled in laughter.
"I'm sorry, it was a muscle spasm" I shrugged before walking away toward the school as Jac followed but not before flipping me off.
Jac and I make our way down the school hallway causing all heads to turn and people to move out of our way. You know those cool badass slow motion scenes in movies, that's kind of what it was like. You know except for the slow motion and the background music.
As per usual we reach my locker when low whispers from everyone about rumors of Jac and I cause a low rumble to echo throughout the halls.

"Ugh, some people have no lives" I groaned in disgust as I rolled my eyes.
"Tell me about it, chica" Jac agreed also rolling her eyes.
"I find it fascinating really, how people can gossip so much, but still do nothing with their lives. I mean it's kind of pathetic if you think about it" I voiced before slamming my locker closed. I look up at Jac to see her staring at something behind me.
"Are you even listening to me? Jac? Hello, what are you even looking at?" I asked finally turning around to see what her and basically every other girl in the hallway was looking.
Once I turn I immediately crash into something hard and oddly soft.
"Watch where you're going!" I exclaimed glaring indirectly at whoever just crashed into me. Only for it to soften when I looked up to meet beautiful forest green eyes. I'm guessing this is what they were looking at.
"Oh, I'm so sorry. I wasn't paying attention, my bad" The green eyed boy rushed out with a look of worry clear in his eyes.
I felt something tingly on my shoulder as I looked down to realize his hand was placed on my shoulder to keep me from falling. Once he saw what I was looking at he immediately removed his hand as if touching me had burned him.
"No, no it's alright. You're fine, I promise" I assure this time placing my hand on his shoulder only to pull it away when I felt his muscles flex.
"Oh um, okay" His says as relief flashes through his eyes.
"You must be new here, I've never seen you around here before" I assumed tilting my head slightly in question.
"Yes, it's actually my first day" Green eyes confirmed kind of surprised I predicted he was new.
"It's a small town, everyone knows everyone here" I explained how I knew he wasn't from around here.
"Oh! I'm sorry, I haven't introduced myself. I'm Samaria Griffith, but you can call me Maria" I grinned widely holding my hand out for him to shake.
Once Stefan heard my name his eyes widened in surprise. I chuckle not very shocked my the reaction.
"I take it you've heard of me before" I say with amusement clear on my face.
"I mean yeah, you and your sister are very well known" He responds blinking his surprise away.
"Now what's your name, green eyes?" I asked with a flirtatious smirk etched on my face.
"Stefan, Stefan Salvatore" Green eyes answers only making my smirk grow.
"Ah, you're related to Zach" I reply my amusement only growing.
"Yes, he's my uncle" He confirms with a nod of his head. Just as I was about to reply the first period bell rang signaling everyone to go to their first class, which mine was history.
"I like you green eyes, you're pretty cool" I compliment, which is very rare coming from me.
"Yeah, we should hangout sometime" Stefan suggests stuffing his hands in his jean pockets.
"Yeah, I like that idea" I agreed flashing my pearly whites as I grin.
"Well I should probably get to class, see you around green eyes" I spun on my heels about to walk in the opposite direction when I was grabbed by my wrist.
"Actually, do you think you could show me to my first class? I don't really know where everything is" Stefan asks sheepishly looking down before meeting my gaze again.
"Of course" I nod not having the courage to say no to his adorable face at the moment. What is wrong with me? I don't do stuff like this for anyone!
"Thanks" He pulls out his schedule placing it in my outreached hand.
"You have history with Tanner first, which is exactly where I'm going, so follow me" I tell him nodding my head in the direction we're going. Stefan walks close behind me.
"Some word of advice, Tanner can be a major dick sometimes" I inform him as we continue down the hall.
"Once our home state of Virginia joined confederacy in 1861, it created a tremendous amount of tension within the state. People in Virginia's northwest region had different ideals than those from the traditional deep south. Then Virginia divided in 1863 with the northwest region joining the union" Tanner continues on with his lesson. I don't really pay attention as I doodle in my notebook.
I don't really need to pay attention since I already know all this stuff so I kind of just wait for the quizzes. I glance up at Tanner only to be met with familiar green eyes. When Stefan realizes I caught him staring he quickly looks back to the board only to look back at me again this time causes me to quickly look down with a small grin.
As I look up to meet Stefan's eyes again we keep our gaze until he quickly glances behind me then reverting his eyes back to mine almost as quick as they left. I turn around to see who exactly he looked at only to meet the brown eyes of Elena Gilbert, a direct glare pointed my way.
Just to piss her off I wink and blow her kiss causing her to scoff and roll her eyes then look down at her desk. Damn, Jealous much?

Eight
His name is Eight. Not really, but that’s what the System decided after a slip of the tongue. One moment, he was stepping out the office door on the way home, and the next waking up on a hillside below a town wall. Oh, and the gate guard drove him off, because he thought Eight was a monster. Life’s tough when you’re trapped in an eight-year old body on another world. The first book focuses on Eight's survival on a dangerous new world. If you're a fan of Gary Paulsen's Hatchet, you'll enjoy it. The story is one of discovery, bushcraft, and finding one's way. Note that, while this is very much LitRPG, progression is slow, and Eight spends much of the first book alone. The second book recounts what happens when Eight and friends head east to the village of Voorhei. Expect a blend of fantasy adventure, ghost story, cozy mystery, and family drama. Books one and two make a complete story, while book 3 has just gotten underway.
