《Unexpected Arranged Marriage》Part 14

Timeskip (Weekend)
Me and Jin have been texting everyday ever since we have decided to marry each other. Sometimes, he would call me just to check up on me especially when he didn't have the time to reply to my texts. moonwritesfics
He would generally ask me whether I have eaten or not, or what I was doing at the time, things like that.
Honestly speaking, I felt like what we're doing now is similar to what a typical high school couple would do. Well, maybe that's just because we're still in the introductory, a.k.a the honeymoon phase of the relationship. Therefore, everything still feels like rainbows and butterflies. moonwritesfics
However, not gonna lie, I'm enjoying every single bit of it. Especially when my partner is genuinely caring enough about me.
I sat in front of my closet, not knowing what to wear. 'Will it be a formal date? Or a casual one? Should I just ask him? I should ask him, right?' I speculated in my mind. I grabbed my phone and dialled Jin's number.
"Hey baby," he greeted me. I bit my bottom lip because it still felt a little weird when he called me using pet names. "Hey Jin," I greeted him back, still not able to address him with any other names yet. moonwritesfics
"So about our date..." I said and then paused. "You're not cancelling, are you?" he panicked.
"Oh gosh, no! I was just wondering what I should wear for tonight..." I explained and I heard him exhaled with relief from the other side of the line.
"I don't want to be over or underdressed, you know," I added just to make sure he knows what my worry was. "I'd recommend something comfortable," he chuckled. "But-,"

"Don't think too much, y/n-ah. Just wear something comfortable," he repeated. "Ok then," I let out a defeated sigh.
"I'll be picking you up at 7, ok?" he reminded me and I hummed as a response. "See you later," he giggled and ended the call right after.
"That wasn't helpful now, was it?" I mumbled to myself, still having the dilemma of choosing which outfit to wear. I saw a decent summer dress that seemed suitable for any occasion. "I guess you're the chosen one," I picked it up and placed it on the bed. moonwritesfics
Timeskip (Later that evening)
I was standing outside of my car, nervously waiting for y/n to arrive. I heard the main door of the apartment building being opened and I turned around immediately. Y/n was already walking towards me. moonwritesfics
"You look very lovely," I complimented her once she stood in front of me. "Is it too much?" she swayed her dress adorably from side to side. I smiled at her cuteness. "No," I shook my head. We got into the car and I started the engine.
"Oh, before we go, I need you to put on this blindfold," I showed her the item. "What? No..." she sounded a little panicky. "Please... Just trust me," I pleaded and she caved. She placed the blindfold on her eyes carefully. Once she was ready, I started to drive.
"Jin, please don't stay silent. Please talk to me... The darkness is freaking me out!" she confessed and I let out a little chuckle. I initiated a topic and we kept on talking along the way, as per her wish. moonwritesfics
The car came to a halt, so I guess we've reached our destination. Jin turned off the engine and I heard him get out of the car as I waited patiently. Not long after, he opened my door and took my hand.

He then led me somewhere. The surrounding was really quiet. There were some sounds of cars and indistinct chatter of people. But generally, it was really calm and peaceful as I could feel the night breeze embracing me.
"Ok! We're here!" he suddenly exclaimed which made me flinch. "Oh, sorry. Too loud," he giggled. He was standing behind me as he took off the blindfold slowly. moonwritesfics
"Guess where we are?" he questioned once I could see everything that was present in front of me.
"It's the park," I gasped. "Yep!" he agreed. "No, you don't get it, Jin," I shook my head and turned to look at him. He looked at me, grinning ear to ear.
"No, y/n. I know what you're talking about. It's the park," he winked.

Part 1 - Killing Roar: When Perry was blessed with a platypus beast soul, he thought his chances of joining the village guard were over. No one had every heard of a platypus. It seemed like an obvious prey soul, given it wasn't in the village's records. Only the strongest could be part of the village guard. He thought that would never get the chance to defend the village from the spike feeders, the deadly creatures jutting out with hazardous spikes haphazardly all over. Only predator beast souls were given the requisite training and allowed to join the village guard. Perry just didn't meet their criteria. He was also wrong.Soon Perry will live out his wildest dreams and more, as he scales the rankings of beast soul mastery, fights innumerable dangerous spike feeders and solves mysteries related to the origin of beast souls and spike feeders. And maybe, just maybe, he'll even get to join the city guard. Genre-wise, Mortal Mewling is a GameLit story (light on the GameLit) focused on action and adventure. The Gore tag is there more as a precaution, rather than a promise to keep producing gory words. Mortal Mewling is a bit of a slow burn in terms of start, scale and capacity of the protagonist. Book 2... has now begun! Updates Monday and Thursday
