《Unexpected Arranged Marriage》Part 12

"I mean... It wasn't really my intention to interrupt," Taehyung added cheekily with that same questionable smile. I narrowed my eyes at him who was still standing by the door.
"What do you want, Tae?" I glared at him.
"Oh, yes. So mom and dad said they're free tonight. I told them we wanted to discuss some things so they've invited us for dinner at the family house," he informed. "Ok," I replied with a rather dry tone.
"Y/n will be coming too, right?" he suddenly queried, which made me look at the girl. She was looking at Taehyung. "Umm..." she mumbled. moonwritesfics
"I mean, by what I've witnessed just now... Even I could tell what you've both had agreed on," my brother remarked as he wiggled his eyebrows playfully at me and y/n.
"We haven't decided yet," I stated. "Oh please, hyung," he rolled his eyes at me and chuckled.
"Yah! Just go back already!" I grabbed a pen from my shirt's pocket and threw it at him but he was quick enough to dodge it by running out from the room and closed the door while at it. I shook my head and sighed. moonwritesfics
"So..." I said and y/n looked at me. "Umm... I guess it's settled then?" I asked but she was not getting it. "Huh?" she asked with knitted eyebrows.
"That we're getting married?" I asked to reconfirm.
"Oh... Umm... Sure, I guess?" she sounded a little unsure herself.
"You 'guess'?" I raised an eyebrow at her. "Do you not want-," I said but was interrupted. "By 'I guess', I meant, yes," she clarified. At least she sounded a little firmer now. I felt so relieved! moonwritesfics
"Okay then," I suddenly nodded and straightened my posture. "Okay," she said as she did the same.
I could sense that there was still some awkwardness present between us at the moment. Maybe because we were both extremely nervous. Well, at least I know I was. Therefore, I wasn't entirely sure on how to calmly react to this whole situation.
Everything still felt surreal for me. The guy who I was secretly crushing on without even knowing his initial identity, the guy who I had really wished and wanted to end up with, is going to be the one I'd actually be marrying!
And at this point of time, I could only pray and hope that there won't be any resistance from the parents. It will just be more messed up if there is. moonwritesfics
"Come on then," Jin suddenly stood up and gestured out a hand at me. I looked at his hand first, and then I moved my gaze to his face. He insisted on that hand of his. I took it and he held mine firmly as he helped me stand up.

"If we don't go now, you're going to be late," he said and let go of my hand. He started to lead the way, heading towards the door but my feet were still glued to the floor. moonwritesfics
"Wait!" I suddenly exclaimed and he turned towards me with a concerned look. "Is the eyelash still on my cheek?" I asked rather innocently which made him let out a little chuckle. I didn't know why the heck I even did that. 'He must think I'm weird!' I groaned in my mind.
But being the gentleman that he is, he walked over to me and leaned in once again. "Done," he said after successfully getting the eyelash. He showed it to me and then he flicked it off his finger.
"Let's get you back to your office," he smiled which made my heart flutter almost instantly at the sight. moonwritesfics
The atmosphere between us was getting less tense as time went by. Mainly because he started to ask a lot of random questions and also talked about various kinds of topics throughout the whole car ride. It definitely did the trick and I felt more at ease.
"Y/n-ah, can I have your phone for a bit?" he asked once we reached the office building where I work. "Huh? Why?" I frowned at him, tightening the grip on my phone and brought it to my chest, hugging the device securely.
"Yah! Just trust me," he sighed and I gave my phone reluctantly to him. My eyes were fixated on his hand movements. moonwritesfics
To my surprise, he keyed in a phone number and dialled it from the device. "Got it," he smiled and showed me his phone.
"Yah! You could've just asked me for my number instead!" I rolled my eyes playfully at him. "Nah, that's too normal," he giggled.
"Anywho... I'll pick you up at 6.30 later this evening and then we'll head to my parent's place," he said objectively, which made me become more impressed by him. "Ok," I nodded. moonwritesfics
Even though I know that I'm an independent woman, I couldn't deny the fact that I actually love it when he's taking the lead and being in control. He surely knows what he's doing.
Timeskip (Dinner Time)
We arrived at Jin and Taehyung's parent's house and were welcomed by both Mr. and Mrs. Kim. "Come on in, kids. Dinner's ready. I'm really hungry," Mrs. Kim giggled.
The food was prepared by Mrs. Kim and everything was readily served on the big dining table. Taehyung took a seat next to Irene while Jin sat on the chair beside me. I was sitting opposite Taehyung while Irene was seated opposing Jin. moonwritesfics
The four of us were exchanging glances with each other, trying to telepathically communicate on how to break the news to the elders.

Mrs. Kim was busy plating the food for Mr. Kim but I think she was quick to notice that all of us were oddly quiet. "Why are you kids not taking the food? Are you not hungry?" she suddenly speculated which made the four of us turn towards her instantly. moonwritesfics
"Mom, dad," Taehyung suddenly opened his mouth. "Yes?" the parents replied at the same time. They looked rather worried.
"We need to tell you something," Taehyung added and suddenly I felt nervous. Jin unknowingly grabbed my hand under the table. I could feel that his hand was cold. His action did take me by surprise, but I had to prevent myself from showing any reactions.
"I don't want to marry y/n," Taehyung revealed, which made Mrs. Kim drop the spoon she was holding. "Pardon?" Mr. Kim glared at Taehyung. moonwritesfics
The young lad cleared his throat and looked at Jin, trying to get some aid. "Why are you looking at Jin?" Mr. Kim asked rather sternly and made Taehyung's face snap towards the infuriated elder man.
"I-I umm..." Taehyung stuttered. "Why don't you want to marry y/n?" Mrs. Kim asked with knitted eyebrows. "Because I don't love her..." Taehyung sighed. moonwritesfics
"Then why did you ask us to set you up with someone if you know you won't be able to commit in the first place?" Mrs. Kim questioned with crossed arms.
"I-I..." he stammered. "You what, Taehyung-ah?!" Mr. Kim growled.
Irene, Jin, and I were silent. We didn't dare to say anything. "I love Irene!" Taehyung blurted out all of a sudden due to the immense amount of pressure. moonwritesfics
Irene suddenly jumped up from her chair. She grabbed Taehyung's hand to give him some support and comfort. "It's true!" she confessed with a cracked voice. I could tell she was trying her best to hold back from breaking down.
Mr. and Mrs. Kim both stared at Taehyung and Irene but my eyes were glued on the elder couple. I was observing their reactions. I bit my lower lip nervously as I tightened the grip on Jin's hand. moonwritesfics
Mrs. Kim turned and looked at Mr. Kim. I was shocked when she actually smiled at her husband. It didn't help much on clearing things up when the man's expression mirrored his wife's. I unknowingly frowned.
"Finally!" the mother of two declared with unconcealed glee.
"What?!" Taehyung, Irene, Jin, and I exclaimed in utter shock.
"You think I don't know?!" she snapped at us. "I saw the two of you at the mall like a month ago," she flailed her index finger at Taehyung and Irene. moonwritesfics
"I really thought you were just being friendly since you're going to be in-laws," she expressed. "But then I saw you both holding hands..." she continued.
"And kissed!" she exclaimed, almost sounding like she was gasping.
"Why didn't you say anything after you knew about it, mom?" Taehyung asked while raking his free hand through his hair. "You're one to talk," she snapped back at him and it made the guy rub the back of his neck nervously.
"I wanted to wait until you have the guts to tell me and your father about it," Mrs. Kim admitted. "But what if they didn't come clean?" Jin suddenly asked. moonwritesfics
"If they didn't come clean, I'd stop them a few days before the wedding, I guess?" Mrs. Kim shrugged her shoulders. "Why did you hide it from us, Tae?" Mr. Kim said with disappointment entangled in his tone.
"We were kind of scared. We didn't know how you would react," Taehyung confessed. "Scared?!" Mrs. Kim raised her tone a little.
"Haven't we told you boys too many times already that you can come to us anytime if you have something to talk about? Despite it being good or bad," Mr. Kim narrowed his eyes at Taehyung. moonwritesfics
"And do you really think that it's a good idea to keep something this big a secret?" Mrs. Kim added on and the young couple shook their heads. They knew they were in the wrong.
"Taehyung, Irene... We're really happy that you both finally have the courage to come to us and be honest about it. But we're still a tad disappointed in you, Tae," Mr. Kim said and Taehyung nodded guiltily. moonwritesfics
"I'm sorry," Taehyung apologized. "We're sorry," he added on behalf of Irene. "It's ok. As long as you won't repeat the same mistake ever again," Mrs. Kim said with a more relaxed tone now.
"Take your seats and let's enjoy dinner," she added and the two sat down once again. Jin loosened his grasp on my hand since everything was much more calmer and less nerve-wrecking.
"Since you're together now... I guess you two are getting married, right?" Mrs. Kim asked Taehyung and Irene while she was putting some rice on her plate. They both nodded as a reply. moonwritesfics
"So what about-," Mrs. Kim was about to say something but her words got interrupted by a man's voice from the dining room's entrance.
"Hey, everyone! Guess who's back?!" the man happily sang. Every eye now landed on him.
'What the-... It can't be...' My jaw dropped when I saw who it was. I stood up unintentionally as I couldn't believe my eyes.
"N-Namjoon?"

8 183Transformers: Heroes
Heroic Decepticons Alternate Universe. A century ago, the eons-old war between the Autobots and the Decepticons suddenly and inexplicably came to an end. Since then, many have gone their separate ways, whilst others still hold onto the bitter memories of war. Now, as Autobots and Neutrals join forces in a new directive to capture every Decepticon still left alive, it appears that the Autobots will finally get their chance to even the score, and defeat their enemies once and for all. But when they become the target of seemingly random, yet terrifying attacks, some begin to realize that the enemy may be much closer to home than anyone could have ever imagined. Author's Notes: While it helps to have a little bit of prior knowledge about the world of Transformers, you don't need to be a Transformers fan to enjoy this story, or even a Decepticons fan! One thing I can say for sure is that it is unlike any Transformers fan fiction you've ever come across. This story aims to explore one possible set of motivations in depth in a setting of ongoing conflict between the Autobots (and, more recently, the Alliance - a collaboration between Autobots and Neutrals) and the Decepticons. Although this story takes a lot of things from the G1 cartoon, it is by no means strictly G1 toon oriented and introduces characters and/or ideas from other continuities (Sentinel Prime, Jhiaxus, Thunderblast and Rook (not the Autobot Rook - the other Rook!). Set primarily on Cybertron and Alternity City, it also deviates from certain key elements common in Transformers canon. For one thing, the general consensus that all Autobots are good and all Decepticons are bad is challenged, and a new meaning to the motivations behind their conflict is offered (which is a recurring theme in my Heroic Decepticons Alternate Universes). Some personalities have been altered from their canonical profiles as a necessity (Megatron being the most obvious example) and developed to a much deeper level than the original cartoon allowed. I hope you enjoy and thanks for reading.
