《Unexpected Arranged Marriage》Part 7

Timeskip (A few days later)
It was in the middle of the week and I was busy at the office doing my work. I had to come up with some new coding for an additional feature for a video game.
"Y/n..." a colleague of mine called my name. "Yeah?" I answered without even glancing over at him. "I think your bag is vibrating," he laughed, which made me look at him with a frown. He was already pointing towards my bag on the floor so I immediately looked to where he was pointing at. moonwritesfics
Only then I heard the sound. I quickly rummaged through my bag and took out my phone. Mrs. Kim was calling and my mind started to try and figure out why. I shifted my sight to my colleague once again with a smile. "Thanks!" I chuckled at him.
I took a deep breath and answered the call.
"Y/n-ah! I've been calling you for the past 5 minutes already," the elder woman sighed without even greeting me. "Sorry, aunty... my phone was on silent," I apologized sincerely and I heard she giggled from the other side of the line.
"It's ok y/n-ah..." she said. "Anyways, I'm calling you to invite you and your parents to come for lunch on Saturday. I already called your mother. She said your dad is still not back, but she's free to join," Mrs. Kim explained. moonwritesfics
"I don't have anything else planned yet, so I should be able to make it too," I said. "Great!" She exclaimed.
"But, is it possible if you kids come by earlier? Jin said he's going to cook, so I've asked Irene to help him. Maybe you could help Taehyung set up the table or something," she suggested. "Yeah, sure," I answered.
"Irene's parents will be coming as well, because we're thinking of discussing details of the weddings after the meal," she added. "Ok, aunty," I replied.
"Ok, see you Saturday then!" she excitedly said and ended the call. moonwritesfics

Timeskip (The weekend)
"Why are you already dolled up?" I asked mom once I saw her coming down the stairs. I glanced at the clock and it was only 8am. "Isn't it too early to go to the Kim's?" I pointed out and took another spoon of my cereal.
"Oh, sorry, honey. I forgot to tell you. I'm going out with your mother in law this morning," she grinned from ear to ear. "But we'll make it in time for lunch," she reassured with a bright smile. moonwritesfics
"You're not going to eat breakfast first?" I raised my eyebrows and she shook her head as a no.
"Well, ok. Have fun then," I waved at her before she made her way out of the front door.
I finished up my breakfast and I went to my bedroom to go and get ready. I went out of the house by 9.30 since Mrs. Kim already requested for the future brides and grooms to help out with the lunch preparation.
It took me about 35 minutes to reach Kim's household. My eyes widened with awe when I saw the house that they're living in. Slash that. It's a freaking mansion! It was so big that one might even have mistaken it for a palace.
Yet, Jin and Taehyung still had chosen to live on their own, which for me, is actually a good thing. Especially when it comes to privacy.
I drove my car through the gate once the security had given me the access. I parked at the porch and I got out of my vehicle. I could see that Taehyung was already standing there, waiting for me at the opened front door.
"Am I late?" I asked while I checked the time. "No," he replied with a smile. moonwritesfics
Suddenly, a car's noise was heard from behind me. I turned to look around and saw that Irene had just arrived. She waved with joy and enthusiasm once she saw that I was looking at her. I instantly giggled at her actions. It was really funny to see her being giddy like that.

The three of us went inside the house and we met up with Jin in the kitchen. We discussed and decided that Jin and Irene will be responsible for the food as per the initial plan, while me and Taehyung will be accountable for setting up the table as well as tidying around the living room area. moonwritesfics
Me and my fiancé finally got the chance to actually have a decent conversation while our hands were busy wiping off the plates and glasses that are going to be used later. We have been casually texting each other since last weekend, after he made the gesture of texting me first.
Despite that, he's a very busy man. So, we rarely have extensive chats with each other. Of course, I totally understand that and don't really feel like it was a big deal anyway.
Half an hour or so had passed, and we were met with someone suddenly entering the dining room with a mixture of horrified and disappointed expressions on her face, which made our hands stop instantaneously with what we were doing. moonwritesfics
"Sorry, Jin sent me here," Irene said with a pout. Me and Taehyung looked at each other first, only then we moved our gaze towards Irene.
"What happened?" I asked as I pulled the chair next to me, gesturing Irene to take a seat there. "Apparently, I can't cook..." she sank herself onto the chair.
"Is Jin ok to be cooking alone?" I asked as my hand started to continue wiping the plates. Irene just shrugged her shoulders and crossed her arms, still with a pout.
"Tae, why don't you go and help your brother?" I suggested. "Irene can help me here," I added as I looked at the guy but he shook his head almost instantly.
"To be honest, I don't like to help him when he's cooking," Taehyung said while making a face. "He's a monster!" He gasped with a pinch of exaggeration.
"He actually is!" Irene was quick to add on.
I let out an airy chuckle. "Come on, I'm sure he's not that bad," I raised both eyebrows as I glanced at both Taehyung and Irene, shifting my gaze from one person to another. They looked affrighted just by the thought of it.
"Fine, I'll go," I said while rolling my eyes and I handed Irene the cloth that I was holding.
"Good luck," Irene gave me a thumbs up. "May God protect you at all costs," Taehyung added while putting both of his hands together as if he was praying. moonwritesfics
'Is he really that scary?' I thought as I dragged my feet towards the kitchen. I somehow started to feel a little anxious because those feedbacks came from not one, but two people.
'It's too late to turn back now, isn't it y/n?' I gave myself a pep talk and decided just to go with it. The worst thing that could happen is that I'll be sent back to the dining room to join Taehyung and Irene.
"I can't believe I have to start all over again," I muttered to myself as I inhaled a long, deep breath to calm my thoughts down a little.
"H-hey Jin," a woman's voice was heard from behind me. moonwritesfics
"What now?" I asked with a slightly pissed off tone, while I looked over my shoulders. I really thought it was Irene.
However, my eyes widened when I saw y/n was standing at the kitchen's entrance.
"I-I'm sorry," her voice trembled. "Maybe I shouldn't have bothered you," she added and was about to walk away.
"No, wait," I said, while turning my body fully towards her, to stop her from going.

Magriculture
When Aurum Industries announced the first Full Immersion Virtual Reality Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game (FIVRMMORPG if you're hip) Limitless Online, most people saw it as an opportunity to live out their sword and sorcery fantasies. John, however, saw it as the opening of a new and as of yet uncrowded job market. One he was willing, and eager, to exploit. Determined to make money through virtual hard work and effort, John sets his sights not on the heights of magic or the perfection of the sword, but instead upon the tilling of the soil and the sowing of seeds as he explores the wide and wonderful world of magical agriculture all from the comfort of his own bed. Disclaimer: This is, at best, a very rough draft. I have already had to do one major rewrite and several minor rewrites of entire sections of the story, and it is a virtual certainty I will have to do re-writes again. Such changes may be as small as editing a few numbers (such as going back and changing how much mana an object holds) or it may force me to re-write entire chapters (this has happened once already, and I'm really hoping it doesn't happen again, but... life). Minor re-writes will probably never be posted here. Major rewrites probably will.Anyway, what this boils down to is: If you're looking for a fully cohesive story with few to no errors and publisher level editing, this is not the story for you. If your looking for a cohesive plot that's more than "Man farms, man farms, man farms well, man maybe makes money" you're probably also in the wrong place, but I will attempt to entertain you anyway.
