《Knock, Knock》Fifty

Casey had been pacing. She let the day slip her mind and now she was wondering what last-minute thing she could do for her and her girlfriend. She ran her slender brown fingers through her damp curls. She hadn't even realized it was Valentine's Day until Edwin texted her way too early in the morning, asking if she and Kathryn would like to go on a double date.

And when she asked him why he would go on a double date, he sprung the news on her. She hadn't bought flowers or chocolates or a stuffed animal. All that she had today was her skilled fingers and herself. But she knew sex wasn't a good valentine's day present. She knew she'd have to spoil her girlfriend.

Casey froze as she heard knocking on her door. She prayed silently that it wasn't her girlfriend. She had no idea what her excuse would be for the woman. The knocking continued and she made her way to the door. She inhaled deeply and held her breath before opening her door, finding her girlfriend in the same distraught she was in.

She let out a breath as she eyed the brunette. Though Kathryn was only dressed in a loose tank top and spandex shorts, it was obvious Kathryn had also forgotten today's date. The two smiled at each other and the brunette entered the apartment with a chuckle. "I feel less shitty now that I see you're in the same boat as me" Kathryn's smile widened.

Casey nodded her head in agreement. "I always spend my Valentine's day alone, that I almost forgot I was in a new relationship. I'm so sorry" Kathryn pulled Casey into her with a sleepy smile. The brown-skinned girl frowned, "I seriously don't know what you ever saw in Thomas."

The woman shrugs her shoulders. "What did you do though? Just sit at home and stuff your face and wait for the next day to come?" Casey jokes pressing her lips against Kathryn's cheeks. The brunette laughed and shook her head. "No, I had my spa day." And just then Kathryn had an idea. She smiled at her girlfriend.

The curly-haired girl eyed her girlfriend in confusion before understanding what her look meant. She quickly shook her head and peeled the brunette's hands from her waist. "I don't do spas" Casey hissed. Kathryn removed her hands from Casey and brought them back to her waist, pulling her in. The brunette sat on the arm of her sofa and glanced up at her girlfriend.

Eyes met, brown on brown. Casey arches a brow as she noticed her girlfriend's pouting lip. "C'mon it'll be fun" Kathryn reassured, intertwining her fingers behind her girlfriend's back. Casey was confused, what was fun about a spa day? "What does one even do on a spa day?"

Kathryn smiled, "Come with me and I'll show you. If by the end of all of it, I will buy you anything you want."

Casey smiled and wedged herself in between her lover's legs. "I got what I want, right here." The cheesy comment causes Kathryn to smile at her partner. It was pure and sincere and made her heart pump with love. She loved knowing that she was the only woman who managed to enthrall her heart.

"I'll take you out to dinner then. Where ever you want."

Lips pulled up into a smile and Casey nodded her head. "Fine. We can have a spa day. But this is only going to happen once. I don't feel comfortable with someone rubbing oils on my nude body."

Kathryn chuckled, "Yeah. And after today you're going to be asking me if we can go again. You're going to be so refreshed that you just won't mind." Casey shrugged her shoulders.

With wide eyes, Casey watched the women spread wax onto her legs. She eyed her girlfriend, "Why did I agree to this? This is going to hurt. God, Kathy, I'm going to kill you" she cried. She was terrified. She watched videos of people getting waxed for the very first time and she could feel the agony in their screams. And now she was going to experience it firsthand.

She heard her girlfriend laugh at her hysteria. "Kathryn this isn't fun- OH MY GOD!"

Casey's skin burned where the wax was removed from her leg. Tears formed on her waterline as she squeezed her lovers' hand. The woman chuckled and rubbed her leg, "There's still more." Casey shook her head, "Just leave it there. I don't want to do this anymo- FUCK CAN YOU GIVE ME FOREWARNING?"

Kathryn kissed Casey's hand to reassure her that everything was going to be fine. But the brown-skinned girl thought otherwise. She was in pain. She was suffering and she just wanted it all to end. She shook her head, this was going to be the last time she let Kathryn talk her into having a spa day.

"I'm never coming back here with you again. You have betrayed my trust" Casey spat with tears. The brunette only shook her head, knowing that in the second half of this spa treatment, her words would mean nothing. And she knew that for a fact because it was the same words she told her mother years ago. Pretty soon, Casey would be begging her for another spa treatment and eventually love the pain.

Once Casey and Kathryn had their legs waxed, they moved to another part of the treatment. The message. Casey nervously laid naked on the spa table. No one had come in yet so she was free from embarrassment for a while. She glanced over to her girlfriend, who was calm and relaxed. Her brown eyes crawled all around her girlfriend's body in adoration.

"Relax" she heard. Her eyes met breathtaking brown eyes belonging to none other than her lover. And with just one word, Casey felt her nerves relax. The fear she felt early dissipated. She laid back down and exhaled slowly. "They're not going to do anything to you. They'll just be massaging oils onto your skin. It's going to feel weird at first but then your tense muscles are going to relax lots and you're going to feel really comfortable."

Casey glanced over to her girlfriend. "You trust me, right?" Casey nodded her head timidly. Before Kathryn could get another word out the door opened, revealing two dark-skinned women, who looked scary to Casey's eyes. After a few shared words, the procedure begins.

The brown-skinned girl shivered as her masseuse poured the chilling oils to her body. Russet eyes met with a dark set of eyes before relaxing slightly. This wasn't something Casey ever imagined she'd experience. "Have you figured out where you want to eat?" Kathryn's voice grabs Casey's attention.

"What do you mean? The bet was if I didn't like our spa day you would buy me dinner... I- Today was nice. Weird for the most part, but otherwise it was nice."

Kathryn chuckled, knowing her girlfriend would fall in love with a spa treatment. "I'm going to take you out regardless. It's Valentine's day, I want to treat my girl to something nice, even if it's food."

Something about hearing Kathryn call Casey 'my girl' made her heart melt. She'd heard Kathryn call her, her girlfriend but never her girl. It all meant the same thing but somehow it wasn't. It was like she'd unlocked a new achievement. Casey squeezed her legs together, to which her masseuse noticed. She smiled and shook her head. Kathryn glanced at her girlfriend waiting for an answer.

"Anywhere is fine, as long as I have you" Casey replied, causing her lover's lips to spread into a big genuine smile.

Pretty soon the two were done with their treatments and were exiting the facility. Casey let out a breath as they stepped outside, the humid air hitting their oiled skin. "You know, I feel refreshed. Might not love the waxing but everything else was good."

"Like a weight you had no idea was there was released?"

Casey nodded her head. "Next we'll go see a chiropractor" she joked. Casey shook her head violently at her girlfriend. She was okay with a spa treatment but she vowed ever since she saw a chiropractor practically kill her father, she would never go. "Kathryn if you don't want to date me you can just say that, you don't have to kill me" she joked.

Kathryn laughed, her laughter bubbling and causing Casey to smile, feeling nothing but love and adoration for the brunette. And she knew no one could ever make her feel any different. The two made their way back to Kathryn's car, where they ran into two faces they shouldn't see.

Kathryn and Casey swallowed harshly as they stared back at Naomi and her girlfriend. Once again, Casey felt as though they were facing an ex she dated, but that wasn't the case. Naomi was just someone who worked with Kathryn and recently became friends with the brown-skinned girl. Casey noticed the woman beside her and realized she was the woman from the band.

She smiled, seeing how Naomi took her advice.

"Kathryn... Casey... Hi," Naomi let out feeling a bit uncomfortable. She knew that Casey was a student, what she didn't know was her relationship with her co-worker. Casey scratched the back of her head nervously. "Hey." Kathryn remained silent. This unexpected interaction could go one of two ways. And she didn't know which way it was leading.

Her heart hammered in her chest as she stared at her co-worker. Naomi now had the power to ruin her life and she didn't know what to do. All she could do was release her girlfriend's hand and subtly move away, putting distance between the two.

"Hi, I'm Ricardo... weren't you at the club with Naomi a few weeks ago?" the band woman questioned. Casey nodded her head before glancing at Kathryn for a reaction about the information she'd just received. But when her girlfriend stood emotionless, she wondered if Kathryn already knew something she didn't.

Silence settled between the four before someone had the courage to speak up. "Would you two like to join us for dinner? Originally a friend of mine was supposed to have a double date with us but he had to cancel. However the reservation still has 4 people listed," Ricardo smiled.

Kathryn couldn't spit out an answer. Casey opened her mouth to reject. The brunette eyed her in surprise at her answer. "Sure. We were heading to dinner anyways." Casey was also surprised with herself but for some odd reason, she couldn't reject the offer.

Minutes later after a tense car ride, Casey and Kathryn arrived at the restaurant they'd rendezvous with Ricardo and Naomi. They sit in the car for a few seconds longer, preparing themselves. "Why did you agree to this?" Kathryn questioned her girlfriend.

Casey eyed the woman, "I don't know. I meant to reject but my mouth had other plans. And I'll feel bad if we stood them up after agreeing so let's just get through this night."

The brunette scoffed, "Casey you do realize that Naomi is my co-worker? If she finds out that we're... together, there goes my job."

The girl knew what the consequences were. "Well if we don't go in there there's a possibility Naomi will get the wrong idea and report it assuming something. If you want to clear this we should go in there and talk to her about this." Kathryn knew Casey was right, but she was scared. Not only would she lose her job, but her life would go down the drain. The only positive things that came from her and Casey's relationship was that Casey was legal and wasn't her student.

But despite her worry, the two of them moved into the restaurant, where they found the other couple. They slid into the booth with timid smiles. Ricardo was the first to start a conversation. "So How'd you two meet."

Casey's heart sank. Good job Ricardo, you just ruined the mood!

Kathryn eyed Casey. "We met at our apartments. I moved in next door to her" Kathryn told the truth. She smiled remembering the eventful day, "And someone just so happened to make noises that caused me to knock on her door."

Casey chuckled, "Please never bring up that day, I still get embarrassed by it."

"Oo, what kind of noises?" Ricardo teased the two. But they could only blush and change the subject. "Did your dad give you the name Ricardo?" Kathryn questioned. The dark-haired woman shook her head, "My real name is Victoria. Ricardo is my stage name, I get so used to people calling me Ricardo that I introduce myself as such."

Kathryn raised her brows, "Stage name?"

Victoria nodded her head, "I'm in a band. Roman Empire, maybe you've heard of us? If not, I am performing at Space Houston Nightclub if you'd like to listen. But give me a heads up and I'll even try to get you guys a backstage ticket."

Kathryn nodded her head with a smile. The three finally realized how quiet Naomi was and three pairs of eyes landed on the woman. Victoria nudged her girlfriend, bringing her out of her small world. Naomi quickly glanced between the two before letting out a breath. "Sorry, I'm lost in thought. What did I miss?"

"Nothing really. What's wrong baby? You're usually talkative" Victoria mumbled.

The woman eyed Kathryn and Casey before letting out a breath. "I don't mean to be rude but are you two dating?"

Casey swallowed the lump in her throat as she glanced at Kathryn. She wanted her girlfriend to answer this one because it was her life on the line. Kathryn opened her mouth, "We are. And I understand that as teachers, it's wrong but I need you to understand that..." the brunette eyed her girlfriend.

"I never meant to fall in love with her but I did and I don't regret any of it, at all." Naomi laughed grabbing their attention. "You should see your face, you were so serious."

Kathryn and Casey eyed the woman in confusion. Victoria threw her arm over her girlfriend, "Naomi was my teacher when we first started dating. We broke up because I didn't want to put her job at risk. But I graduated so there's no longer a reason for us to be apart."

With raised brows, the two let out a relieved breath.
