I could feel the air vanishing from my body as I stare at the man in disbelief. I could feel my heart hammering against my ribcage and my blood rushing to my head. My breathing becomes rapid as I try to calm myself. Rai smiles victoriously as he stares at me.

"Kathryn, are you okay?" Josh questions. My eyes quickly move to him before landing on Rai once again. My hands frantically search for the girl beside me. My breathing quickens as I become light-headed. This was not expected.

"Sarah go get her some water. Kathy breathe, breathe" Josh rushes. My legs become weak beneath me and I feel myself falling. I'm quickly caught by Casey but she falls to the floor with me in her arms. Suddenly everything blacks out and the last voice I can hear is Casey's. "Babe, breathe."

Casey laid Kathryn down on her bed as she let out a breath. She moved a strand of hair behind her ear and leaned down to kiss her forehead. She knew Kathryn would be fine after some rest. What she didn't know was how Rai knew Kathryn would be here. Did he stalk her that much that he'd follow her to Texas? She wondered how long Rai stalked her.

She couldn't hold her anger. She turned on her heel and headed back into the living room. All eyes were on her in confusion. She ignored them and headed straight for the teacher. She kneed him in the stomach, forcing him to the ground. Before she could do any serious damage she was pulled away from him.

"Casey, what the hell is going on?" Josh spat as he pulled the brown-skinned girl away from his brother-in-law.

Casey ignored the brunette as she struggled against his grip. "How the hell did you know she was here? Have you been stalking her? How the hell did you know!?" she yelled towards the dark-haired man. Rai didn't speak as his wicked smile spread across his face. Sarah helped her brother to a chair in confusion.

No one knew what was going on. No one knew the back story. Everyone was just confused.

Josh pulled Casey back into Kathryn's room and closed the door behind him. "What the hell do you think you're doing?" he questioned sternly. His voice shocked Casey as she eyed him. "Do you know who that man is?" she questioned.

"He's Sarah's little brother" Josh answered in confusion.

Casey shook her head. She needed to rephrase the question. "Do you know what he did?" she questions. Josh let out a breath. "How about you calm down for me and for Kathryn. I don't know what's going on and I need you to tell me why you thought it was a good idea to randomly attack Rai."

Casey bit back her anger. She needed to calm down. She needed to tell Josh what he did. She needed to breathe. Casey glanced towards the floor as she steadied her breathing. A few minutes later when she's calmed down she glances towards Josh. She lets out a breath.

"Rai worked at the school Kathryn did. The reason Kathryn and I's relationship is complicated is because I'm a senior at the school she works but she's not my teacher. Rai started working there in November. He immediately took a liking to Kathryn and made advances. Eventually, he found out about our relationship and was rejected soon after."

Casey could feel her blood boil as she continued to speak about the man. She swallowed and continued. "On Thanksgiving he..." she sighed, "He tried taking advantage of her. Unfortunately, I wasn't at home when this happened and when she made it to my dad's house her clothes were ripped and she was distraught. And from that day until now he's been threatening us and sexually harassing and assaulting Kathryn. Fortunately, he'll no longer be working at the school and Kathryn put a restraining order out on him."

Josh takes in the information. He didn't know what to do. He glances at Casey for a few seconds then at his baby sister. He wanted nothing more than to protect his sister. He wanted to leave the room and pound his fists into Rai's face but he knew he shouldn't.

Kathryn stirred awake. Her eyes landing on the white ceiling as she heard nothing but silence. She blinked and let out a breath, her eyes searching the room. She spots Casey and Josh standing across from each other. She didn't need to ask, she could already feel the tension in the room. She could only figure that Casey had explained to her brother her situation with Rai.

Kathryn forced herself from the bed, grabbing the attention of both her girlfriend and her brother. Casey quickly moves to her girlfriend, checking her heartbeat and making sure she was fine.

"I'm fine, I'm fine. I just, I hyperventilated" Kathryn smiled at her worried lover.

Casey lets out a breath of relief. "I know this is a lot to ask, but can you two try to be civilized with him during dinner. I'm sure you guys don't want everyone in your business and Sarah would want him here."

Casey turns to Josh in disbelief. "You want me to be civilized with a man who attempted to rape my girlfriend and has consistently threatened me to stay away from her? The man who's been traumatizing your sister for nearly two months?"

Josh cringes. "Casey, please keep your voice down."

Casey was livid. She'd just told Josh his sister was in danger and his solution was to not tell anyone. It was as if he wasn't being convicted of his crimes. "Are you fucking seri--" she stopped by the light pull from her lover.

The girl eyes her girlfriend in confusion. "Please Casey. Please don't tell anyone else. Let's just pretend it's okay." Casey furrows her brows. "You want to pretend it's okay? Kathryn, there's nothing okay about this situation!"

Kathryn eyes Casey a bit longer in an attempt to calm her. Josh excused himself as he exited the room. To say he was heated was an understatement. He didn't want to worry the rest of his family. He knew his sister was probably struggling and scarred but he just didn't want to put that pressure on anyone else. Today was supposed to be a calm day.

Their nana was there and things were supposed to go well for her. Josh was startled when he felt cool hands on his arm. He turned to spot his wife. "Josh, what's going on? I heard yelling." Josh shook his head as he placed his arms around the brunette. "It's okay. Everything's fine."

Sarah was confused about the situation. The door to Kathryn's room opened. There stood a calmer version of Kathryn and Casey. Josh eyed his sister and her girlfriend. "We'll behave but I'm not staying in the house with him here" Kathryn settles.

Josh nods his head with a warm smile. Kathryn moves past her brother and heads back into the living room to assure her family members she was fine. Sarah followed behind her just in case another episode happened, leaving behind her husband and Casey.

Josh stopped Casey at the door. He eyed the girl, "Thank you for protecting her and caring for her" Josh sighed. Casey nodded her head. She pushed past the brunette and into the living room towards her girlfriend. Dinner was back on track.

Casey tried her best to keep her emotions at bay as she and Kathryn fixed their plates. "Kathryn sweetie, the apple pie is in the kitchen when you're ready for it" an older woman spoke with a smile. Casey squeezed Kathryn's hip for reassurance as the woman smiled. "And who is your friend? You haven't introduced us yet."

Kathryn froze as she glanced towards her mother. She swallowed the lump in her throat. Her eyes quickly land on Rai. The man held a smug smile on his lips as he waited for her to answer. But she couldn't bring herself to say anything. Casey's eyes move between the three. She didn't know what answer to give.

When they first arrived, the introductions were simple. Kathryn would come out to her family and announce that Casey Kings was her girlfriend. But now they had an obstacle. Rai Rossen. If Kathryn admitted her relationship with the student, her job could be at risk.

The man eyed the two, "You know, you look familiar."

Casey bit her tongue. She knew exactly what the man was trying to do. She could feel the pressure on her shoulders, she didn't know how to go about the situation. Her life was seriously fucked up!

Kathryn's mother eyes Rai. "You know this young lady?" she questions. Rai nods his head, "I didn't want to say this earlier but Kathryn and I worked together at a school in Texas. That girl, I've seen her a lot, I believe she's a student at the school."

Kathryn's heart drops. She eyes her mother, waiting for something. Anything. "If I'm not wrong, I believe these two are in a romantic relationship."

And there it was. The ball drop. Kathryn was exposed.
