《Knock, Knock》Thirty-one

I smile at the girl standing just feet away from me. The hallways were crowded with students and every now and then she'd get distracted by her friends. I frown and shake my head. My students enter my classroom, reminding me that I have a job. I don't get paid to smile at pretty girls. My happiness is taken away as soon as a tall man stands beside me.

"She's cute isn't she?" Rai questions nodding his head. I roll my eyes in annoyance with the man. He's like a weed, unwanted but still present. "What's her race anyways? Is she black? Kinda too pretty to be just black though."

I furrow my brows at the man's comment and glance at him in disgust. Before I could open my mouth and get any words out, the bell rings. I place my hands up in a surrendering way before closing my door and walking to my desk.

I take in a deep breath and slowly exhale. I'm not going to let him get to me. "Alright class, today we will be going over the final! I will hand out study packets in a few minutes."

"What's going to be on the final?" one of my students asked. I let out an irritated breath, "Everything we've learned so far. Hopefully, you'll all be able to ace this semester."

My head snaps to the sound of light taps on my door. I notice the familiar silhouette in the small window and find myself smiling. I wait for a few seconds before the tapping continues, forcing me from my seat. I walk towards the door, cracking it just to tease her. Brown sparkling eyes meet my own.

"Can I help you?" I joke glancing down at her plump lips. The girl takes notice as she smirks before licking her lips. "Maybe not. But I know I can help you."

I pout and open the door wider, "You're a really mean girlfriend to me sometimes. You better be glad I like you, now get in here."

Casey smiles warmly at me as she steps into my classroom. I close the door behind her and watch her in amusement. She turns to face me before sitting on my desk. She curls her pointer finger, forcing my feet towards her. Once I get in front of her, her smile widens exposing her pearly whites.

"Since you're using the big word, I can assume we're dating now" Casey spits. I place my hands up to surrender, "I'm sorry." She shakes her head causing her bouncy curls to jump around. I chuckle at her bring her lips to mine. "Hey, I like you. A lot and the word girlfriend scares me but I want you to call me that."

Her confession makes me smile, "Are you turning soft on me?" I poke her ribcage. She can only giggle at the small tickling on her side. Her hands raise and she grabs my face, pulling me into her. "Kathryn, be my girlfriend."

I bring our lips together, feeling that huge tingling sensation that runs through my body. I moan into the kiss, as my hands land on her thighs. With the arousal from her tongue invading my mouth, to her hands holding me at the waist, I felt like I could care less about my job and the consequences of what I am doing.

However, Casey pulled away just at the climax of our kiss causing me to groan. I lean back into the girl to continue our kiss but she moves her head to the side. My lips land on her cheek. I roll my eyes and lick the spot.

"My parents are going out of town Friday night and want me to house sit. Do you want to house sit with me before finals next week?" the brown-eyed girl smiled. Her eyes focus on my own, waiting for an answer. I can't help but to smile at the idea. Having a relaxing mini-vacation with my girlfriend before I have to stress about finals.

I let out a long breath at the thought of grading. "Yeah, sure. I would love that" I agree.

Her brown eyes twinkled in happiness before her lips are planted onto my own. In order to tease the girl, I pull away and take a step back. She only rolls her eyes. "I have to get back to class anyways, Mrs. Evans will probably kill me if I'm any later."

Hearing that she still had class brought me back between her legs. I lean down, my hands grabbing her wrists and pinning them behind her back. I bring my lips to her neck, kissing just under her jaw. "Kathryn, don't you da-" her sentence is cut short but a low and husky moan as I suck harshly on her neck.

This would make us even from last time. "Kath--" she starts again, unable to finish her sentence. I can help but laugh against her skin as I move my lips to another part of her neck. This time I suck lightly before nibbling at her skin.

I pull back, taking notice of my work on her neck. I lean back in, this time placing my lips near her ear. "This should make us even, now get to class Miss Kings" I spit and grab her earlobe between my teeth. Once I pull away, I let the girl go.

She eyes me with a smirk before rolling her eyes. "It's okay, I'll get you back Friday." She waves to me before exiting my classroom. I sit in my chair, waiting to hear the door close behind her but it never does. My eyes glance over to my door, spotting a smiling Rai Rossen in my doorway. "You have fun with your girlfriend?" he question.

My jaw clenches in annoyance. If only murder was legal. "Can I help you?" I question. The man shakes his head but enters my classroom. He shuts the door behind him causing me to feel uncomfortable with his presence. The door was locked from the outside, so no one could come in unless the door was opened from the inside. Or in other words, neither Casey nor Emily could save me this time.

I remain in my seat. I wasn't going to let this creep, run me into a corner. We were in school, I doubt he'd do something that could make him lose his job. "You know, I guess I should be scared to do anything because we're in school. But just like you when you're with your girlfriend I have privacy with you in here."

I scoff, "They have cameras" I try to fight back. The man scoffs, "As if they work. If they did, you and Casey wouldn't be in here making out."

"We weren't. She was in here to give me something from Mrs. Evans" I lie. The man makes his way to me. He places one hand on the armrest of my chair. The other reaches up, pushing a strand of hair behind my ear. "I'm not stupid Kathryn. There's no way she comes into your classroom with a clean neck and leaves with hickies."

I swallow the lump in my throat as he leans in, his lips heading for my own. I inhale and push him back. "I'm not interested in your advances. Please leave my classroom, I have to get ready for my upcoming lesson."

The man smirks, he pulls me into him. I bring my hands up pushing him backwards but his strength was far greater than my own. I felt disrespected by his pushiness. "If you don't be with me, I'm going to tell the principal about you and Casey."

I scoff and knee him in his privates. "Tell him then. You have no proof about the two of us."

The man chuckles, "I'll get them. You just keep being stupid and you're bound to slip up. If I can't have you Kathryn... no one can."

Our conversation can't continue as the bell rings. The man stands upwards so he was now towering over me. I could feel my eyes watering. "Think about it, Kathryn. Think about your job and your life if you go against me. Don't be stupid" he spits before exiting my classroom. One the door closes I fall back into my chair, tears streaming down my face.

I made it home later than usual. After Rai paid me a visit during 4th period, I had mentally been out of it. I could barely teach. I was traumatized and quite frankly I was over it. As I exit the elevator, I let out a breath. I had even ignored Casey once she was out of class.

I get in front of my door and dig inside my purse. Once I gather my keys, I stand in front of my door for a few minutes. I need to see her again. I contemplate whether it was the best idea to speak with her now or just go inside. My thoughts are interrupted as I notice a body on side of me. I jump and glance over spotting Casey.

I frown and glance at the floor. "Did I do something? Did I get you in trouble?" Casey's soft voice bounces on my eardrums. I glance tiredly at the girl. I just wanted the week to be over. "You didn't do anything, Case" I let out as I unlock my door. Casey stays on side of me until the door is opened and I walk inside.

I take a glimpse at the girl, waiting for her to come inside. She notices and enters behind me. I set my purse on the coffee table in the living room and kick off my shoes. I grab Casey's hand and pull her into my bedroom. "Kathryn, are you okay?"

I shake my head as I get into my bed and pat the spot on side of me for her. The girl eyes me before kicking off her shoes and getting in with me. We lay down with my head rested on her chest and her arms wrapped around me.

We lay in silence for a few minutes until I have the courage to speak up.

"Rai came into my class after you left" I spit feeling my eyes water once again. Crying in front of this girl was the last thing I wanted to do. But I couldn't stop the waterfall. The brown-skinned girl remained silent, waiting for me to continue. Her hand moved up and down my back soothingly and supportively.

"He tried to come onto me. Again..."

A tear fell from my eye and rolled down my cheek and landed onto her shirt. "He told me if I'm not with him, he'll tell the principal about us" I sniffed. Casey moved me back, her eyes taking in my mess. She frowns, bringing her hand to my cheeks and wiping away my tears. "Baby he has no proof."

"That's the thing, Casey. He practically told me he's going to stalk me for proof. He's going to be everywhere I am. There's just no escaping him" I cry out, more tears crawling down my cheeks.

I bite my lip to stop from crying out again. Casey pushes me back onto the bed. She climbs onto me, kissing the corners of my eyes. "He's not going to do anything and I'll make sure of it."

I shake my head but she nods hers. "I'm not going to let him have his way, Kathy. That man is a creep and I don't want him near you. I don't know what I'm going to do but I want you safe."

She smiles before wiping my tears away. Her soft and salty lips press against my own. "I'll keep you safe babe" she whispers against my lips. I nod my head and lean in to kiss her again, trying to keep my mind off of my new stalker.

She lays her head on my chest with her arm draped over my torso. I smile in contempt. "Your heart is going crazy" she hums. I chuckle and play in her hair, "Whose heart wouldn't go crazy if Casey Kings was so close to them?"

"Good point."

Once again we lay in silence. My hands pay in her hair as her fingers rub small patterns on my hip. Our peace is ruined when I hear knocking on my door. I groan, not wanting to move since I was comfortable. The knocking continues. Casey chuckles, "I'll go get it."

She gets out of bed and immediately I miss her warmth. A few seconds later she comes back and lays in bed. I frown before a blonde head enters my bedroom. I roll my eyes at Emily. "Can I help you?" I question.

She throws an envelope onto my bed with raised brows. I sit up and grab it, my eyes remaining on her. "Where'd you get this from?" I question.

"Home, I guess because they still don't know where you live" she spits. I turn the brown envelope over, noticing the familiar handwriting. I roll my eyes and lay back onto my bed. "Who is it from?" Casey questions in confusion. I glance over to the girl, "Just my family."

I open the thing, spotting a few pictures and a letter. "Well, that's all I came for. You can continue whatever it is you're doing with your girlfriend."

I blush at the word, remembering that Casey was, in fact, my girlfriend this time. "We were just laying down, you pervert."

"I told her that when she came in" Casey chuckles. Emily shrugs her shoulders. "I'll see you two tomorrow. Oh and try to keep the kissing and hickey making thing a stay at home type of appointment and not a during my class period thing." Casey laughs and nods her head. Emily waves before excusing herself and leaving.

My attention is back to the letter in my hand. I glance at the pictures first. It was a picture of my oldest brother and his wife in the hospital. Aw, she had her baby. The next picture is one of my oldest sister getting married. I raise my brows. I was probably the only one who wasn't getting married or growing a family, something I thought I would've completed this year.

"Is this your brother?" Casey questions pointing at a picture. I nod my head.

"You guys look alike. Well more like you look like the female version of him."

I smile. It wasn't something I wasn't used to. I grew up hearing those things. We just looked a lot like my father than the rest of my family members did. I hand her the pictures to go through as I read over the letter.
