We get home in the evening and it was already dark outside, we walk inside and our moms were int he living room talking.
"Look who decided to come home, we thought you'd never come back." Amy says and I laugh.
"No, I could never leave my little girl." I smile and pick olive up from the crib. I kiss her cheek and Juliet leans over my shoulder and kisses her head.
"Did you two have fun?" My mom asks.
"Too much." I smile and Juliet elbows me and our moms laugh.
"That's is so wrong to say and you don't even realise it." Juliet says and I roll my eyes.
"Well sex is important-"
"Oh my lord mom don't start." Juliet says and rubs a hand over her face and she starts going red.
"She didn't seem to be embarrassed last night." I laugh and Juliet groans.
"Spencer." She huffs and I smile and look at her and start moving from one foot to the other slowly rocking olive to sleep.
"I was embarrassed when you left the restaurant actually." She says and I elbow her this time.
"Why did you leave a restaurant?" My mom asks and I look at Juliet and she wiggles her eyebrows.
"Maybe because Juliet said she didn't trust me."
"I'd don't mean it and I told you that and you know I don't lie to you." She says and I roll my eyes.
"Hmm sure you don't."
"What do I lie about then Spencer?" She asks.
"Girls."
"Stupid things." I say and she rolls her eyes not in a joking way she's annoyed.
"You can't name anything because you're the one lying." She says.
"No I'm not, you do lie about stuff everyone does not about big stuff little white lies." I say and she looks at me.

"So everyone lies, what do you lie about?"
"I don't know."
"So you lie to me?" She asks and I look away.
"White lies Juliet, lies that protect you from getting hurt. You lied about meeting Grace in college." I say and she scoffs.
"I told you that months ago."
"Still a lie."
"Girls stop it." Juliet's mom says but we ignore her.
"Whatever Spencer, not like you always tell the truth." She says and I put olive down in the crib.
"And what does that mean?"
"You 'thought' about using me for grades remember and didn't tell me for years."
"It was once and I never thought about it again. You know I love you and loves you back then so why bring up old wounds?"
"Because you are bringing up the past so I can too." She says and I roll my eyes.
"You're being an asshole, I'm not in the mood." I say and start walking out of the living room.
"Yeah run out because you can't handle the truth." Juliet says and I turn to her and walk up to her and look at her.
"I can't handle your attitude sometimes, you are like a stuck up teenager." I shout and she snorts.
"If you can't handle my attitude why did you marry me?" She asks.
"Juliet!" Amy shouts.
"I married you because I love you, more then I love anyone or anything. The fact you even question that, you are a real fucking asshole Juliet." I say and she looks away.
"Girls!" Juliet's mom shouts and my mom stands up and picks up olive and walks out taking her upstairs.
Juliet looks away from her mom and I look at Juliet's side profile. I hate fighting with her, I can handle her attitude sometimes but other times she gets to much and I just need a breath so it doesn't become a bigger fight. Now she's questioning why I married her and I called her an asshole. Lovely.

My mom comes back and looks between me and Juliet who were now both looking away from each other. I go and sit down on the couch, I'm not apologising first for this one.
"You two are acting children, say sorry both of you." Amy says.
"I'm not saying sorry." I say.
"Neither am I." Juliet says and Amy pulls Juliet and pushes her onto the couch right next to me. We both look at each other and Juliet moves away.
"Seriously? Come on apologise both of you at the same time." My mom says and I shake my head.
"She called me an asshole, she needs to apologise first." Juliet says and i scoff.
"You are an asshole and you know it Julie." I say and she crosses her arms and looks away.
"You can be a bitch sometimes." Juliet says and both our moms sigh and I look to Juliet.
"If I'm such a bitch why did you marry me?" I ask her and she looks at me.
"Stop using my own words against me."
"No Juliet, if I'm such a bitch why did you marry me?" I ask her.
"You married each other because you're both in love with each other. I've never seen you happier with anyone else Spencer, don't act like you hate each other over something so small. You don't know how much time you have left, cherish your small moments and talk through every fight and apologise. I see how in love you are with each other and it honestly reminds me of your father and I. You're each other's soulmates so stop acting like kids and apologise to each other, if you don't you'll lose each other and you'll wish you apologised." My mom says and I look at her then to Juliet and she looks back at me. My mom and Amy walk out closing the door.
"I'm sorry I-" we both start talking then both go quiet.
"I love you." I say and wrap my arms around her.
"I'm sorry, I love you too." Juliet says.
"I hate arguing with you." I huff and she nods and puts my hair behind my ears.
"I do too my love." She says and kisses my forehead.
"I'm sorry for calling you an asshole." I say and she laughs.
"I am an asshole when I get angry, I'll admit it now that we both said sorry." She says and I smile.
"I love you always." I say and kiss her shoulder then bite it.
"Why are you like teething?" She asks and I lean back and shrug.
"I don't know it's becoming a habit at this point." I say and she shakes her head smiling and kisses me. The door opens and my mom and Amy walk in.
"Looks like they apologised." My mom says and I stand up.
"Thank you mom." I say and hug her and she laughs and hugs me back.
"No need to thank me. Now I have to go home, I'll talk to you later." She says and leans back and smiles.

Ira’s Faithful
[On Hiatus due to health reasons] Synopsis: Fate has plans for everyone. There are many paths one can walk and many nodes one can unlock. Yet all mortal souls only start with one node. This has been the case for many years and while there are some records of people with more than one first node, these are as rare as wings on snails, roses made of air, or ropes made of dragon-hair. Elise Anker has two first nodes. She doesn't know why and the only one that could answer is an angry voice in her head. She hears it rarely and the voice is as helpful as a sword is effective against a Leviathan. She strives to become a mage, a knight or maybe something else entirely. The future is uncertain and unless she finds out what her nodes mean, she will never know what she wants to become. But her nodes won't unlock and the angry voice tells her that she needs to find a worthy foe to kill. Disclaimer: This is a work of fiction.
