All my feelings remained out in the open. I'm a horrible person I know. Finally telling Brooke how I feel when it's to late. Honestly I don't even deserve her.

Pulling my phone out of my back pocket I press call on her name. If any of this is ever going to get better I'm going to have to take the first step forward.

"Hello?"

"Hey."

"Grace?"

"Yah, it's me."

"I didn't expect this call. Like ever," I heard some shuffling in the background.

"I know me either. I'm calling to apologize. I'm sorry Terra. For acting the way I did."

"We both played a roll. I just thought I'd be apologizing first. After all I did kind of use you."

I laughed, "I know you did. It's all in the past though."

"Agreed," I could somehow sense her smiling on the other line, "hey why aren't you in school?"

I looked up at the school building from where I stood in the parking lot, "I am. Just not in class. I'm at school if it counts."

She laughs, "something's will never change."

"Wait, why aren't you in school? It's a Wednesday."

"Actually, I'm in town. I'm having dinner with Brooke's parents, and attending church with them."

I bursted out laughing, "you go to church, baby you're going to burn the place down!"

"Shut up! I'm so nervous to meet her parents!"

"Where are you right now?"

"At this diner."

"The one we always go to?"

She's quite for a second. She probably nodded her head, "yes."

"Okay. Stay there I'm on my way."

"Okay!"

"Bye bitch."

"Bye hoe."

The line went dead. I got my best friend back. Hopping on my bike I looked at my phone one last time before heading out. Noticing Tyler texted me I text back to him I'm leaving.

"Going somewhere without me?"

I jump up and drop my phone, "fuck Tyler! You scared the shit out of me!"

"Oh my bad," he bends down to pick up my phone, "didn't answer my question tho."

"I'm going to go meet up with Terra. Wanna join me?" I roll my eyes at him.

He smiles at me handing my phone, "of course I do."

I hop off the bike and let him get on. I've just gotten a custom to letting him drive. I don't really mind anymore.

Honestly I can't remember life before Tyler. I wouldn't have left without him earlier, I would have waited and made him come with me. Tyler is my rock, and I enjoyed leaning on him.

The drive was short and before I knew it we came to stop in front of the diner.

"I'm going to be out here smoking for a second," Tyler informs me as I get off.

"Okay, give me your pack so you'll only smoke one though."

He sighs and takes handing me the pack.

"Thank you!" Smirking I walk off inside.

Terra is sitting at the back of the diner, hunched over a menu. Waking over I take a seat in front of her. She looks up at me and smiles.

"Long time no see."

"Or talk. I missed you!" We both leaned over the table and gave each other a hug.

"Let's never fight again."

I nod my head agreeing, "so you're going to church with Brooke. That's seems," I trail off, "fun."

Terra shakes her head, "it's going to be train wreck. Me be a good Christian girl. No way in hell."

I laugh, "I think you can do it."

"You do?"

I shake my head, "no I just thought I'd give you the benefit of the doubt!"

She playfully reaches over and slap me my arm, "okay enough about me what about you? Look who you pulled up with."

I opened my mouth to speak but the waitress came over to take our orders. We gave them to her, and I also ordered for Tyler.

"What do you mean though?" I answered her question with a question.

"Don't play stupid Grace. There has to be something going on there. I mean you two are always together."

I raised my eyebrows, "how do you know?"

"I still follow your insta stories, and snap."

"Mm of course. We're just friends though," I shake my head.

"Just friends I bet y'all have fucked."

I purse my lips and look down, "okay but so have we!"

"Oh my god Grace! Y'all did?!"

I shh'ed her as she began raising her voice, "we were both drunk."

"Okay but was it good?"

Face palming I nodded my head.

Before she could say anything else Tyler slid in the seat next to me. I turned towards him and smile.

He looked from Terra to me, "Umm hey."

"Oh yah. You two have never properly met!" They both nod their heads, "Well, you both already kind of know each other in some way shape or form."

"Yah," Terra raises her eyebrows.

"Yah, I'm her replacement. Well now I think she's back to take her spot."

I playfully slap his arm, "no! That's not what's about to happen."

"Are you sure about that Grace?" Terra asks me.

I gasp, "you two are not aloud to gang up on me! Yes, I'm sure though. No more toxic Grace. Who she? I don't know."

"Does this mean you've made up with Brooke?"

I sit silently thinking about the question Tyler asked. Did we make up? Are we in another argument? I know I have to let her go. My bestfriend likes her. She took the shot. I didn't. If anything I'd ruin her. Maybe Terra is the better choice for her.

Getting lost in my head I didn't realize that our food had gotten here already.

🍔🍔🏍🏍🙃🙃

When we were done eating we came back to my house, since Tyler's parents are still surprisingly home. Well his mom is.

According to Tyler his dad has disappeared and his mom is acting like everything is okay, even though something is clearly going on there. I'm not the nosy type so I didn't even bother presiding further. Wouldn't want Tyler's mom interrogating me again.

"Is Trace at work?" Tyler asked awaking into the kitchen.

"Yup. I think she'll be here at five," I turned towards the clock on the wall.

"I have four hours until I have to leave," Terra rolls here eyes and hops on top of a chair at the island.

"Why?" Tyler asks.

"Trace doesn't like me. Not one bit."

He laughs, "really?"

"Yah. Grace and I use to get into a lot of trouble in. . ."

Her words seemed to fade off as I walked towards the sink. I'm dizzy all of a sudden. Casually I steadied myself against the sink and began running the cold water.

"Grace, Grace, are you okay?" Tyler walked over standing next to me.

After splashing my face with water a couple of times I nodded my head, "Yah I'm fine."

"Okay," he looked at me wearily before continuing to talk, "I was telling Terra how Callie leaves after her birthday."

"Yah what's that about?"

I shake my head and turn towards her, "Johns back. He wants full custody so she can be in his life. With his new family."

"Oh yah. He remarried didn't her?"

"Yup."

"Does anyone know where Emily is?"

My face turns sour at the mention of her name.

"Who Emily?" Terra looks in between us.

"My mother."

His face made an 'o' shape.

"My bad. I didn't know." Terra starts apologizing.

I shake my head and walk towards the fridge, "it's fine you didn't know."

Pulling out a water I motion with my head for us to migrate towards the living room.

"You never answered Tyler's question back at the diner." While I was flipping through the tv apps, Terra speaks.

"What question?"

"The one about Brooke."

I glance over at her, "oh. I don't know how to answer it."

"How do you not know?" Tyler plops down on the couch next to, "I heard some of the conversation Monday."

"You did?" I glanced over at him.

He nods his head.

"What conversation?" Terra butts in.

"Nothing." I shake my head.

"No, it's not nothing."

"It is nothing," I stand up, "I don't want to talk about it."
