"Its new year's eve? What's the move?" Tyler waltzes back in my room after spending the whole evening with Callie.

After a day with Tyler's parents we vacated to my house. Tyler seemed his parents overbearing and socially unacceptable. Not like my house is any better. John still stayed in the guest bedroom that was a few doors down from mine, and Trace continues to ignore that fact that his presence is un wanted by me.

"I don't know. Thought maybe you'd come up with some plans?"

"To get wasted that's about it. I'm thinking mansion party," he pulls out his phone and throws him self on my bed.

I fly up a bit and roll my eyes, "okay fat ass."

Tyler picks up his leg and shakes his ass in my face. I burst out laughing and try to push him away.

"You're not ready for all this baby!"

Throwing my head back I belt out with laughter, "get off me!"

Tyler rolls over, "you're no fun."

"I'm plenty, thank you very much!"

"Mhm okay Mrs. No Fun! I found a mansion party though. It starts at 11."

"Who's party?"

"A few guys I know. They live down the block from me, so we can crash at my house," he groans into my pillows.

"They go to school with us?"

He shakes his head, "not anymore. He graduated last year?"

"A college party?"

"Mostly high schools with a few college students thrown into the mix. Mostly seniors and juniors. Maybe a few college freshman."

I raise an eyebrow, "what even do I wear to a party like that?"

"That white shirt that ties in front, with a pair of ripped black jeans, and your white Gucci belt I got you for christmas. Of course," he looks up at me like I'm crazy.

"Well damn okay!"

"Yah yah yah. I know. I'm great!"

I make a face, "Don't get too full of yourself now."

"Oh whatever!" Tyler stands up, "should I get clothes now or later?"

"It's only five. we have a lot of time. I also don't want to leave until after twelve. I'm sure Callie is going to want us to watch the ball dropping with her."

He nods his head, "right. We'll watch the ball drop, then head out to my house to grab clothes? Or should I go right now since we're not doing anything?"

"I want to go with you!" Callie bursts into my room.

I turn towards her, "Callie, how many times have I told you, ease dropping is not okay!" I scold her.

"Ok ok, but I want to go with you!" she jumps on Tyler.

"Ok little monster, let's go!"

"Wait your being for real?"

Tyler nods his head, "yeah why not?"

"Did you forget about your parents? I don't really want to be interrogated by your mother again," I cross my arms.

He laughs, "I promise she has good intentions. It'll be fine. Let's go."

Without another word him and Callie walk out my room and down stairs. I follow after them, still thinking that this is all a bad idea.

"Mom we're leaving, and taking Callie with us!" I yell as we pass the living room. I always just assume she's in there or will ambush us in the kitchen.

"Where are y'all off to?" Instead of Trace ambushing us in the kitchen John does.

"Oh we're just running to Tyler's real quick and back."

"And how long do you plan on being gone?"

My eyes narrow in on him, "however long I please. Remember just because you waltz back into our lives doesn't mean you can start acting like our dad again. That isn't how it works," I grab the keys off the hook and walk out the side door that leads to the garage.

Tyler makes sure Callie buckles down, and then hops in the passengers seat, "that was a little harsh Grace."

I shrug, while waiting for the garage door to come up. When it does I speed out, and off to Tyler's.

The drive is boring and pretty silent besides for Callies humming in the back. Tyler is the first out the car when I park in the driveway.

"Callie let's head to the kitchen, the chef is still here!" Tyler takes Callies hand and runs inside heading straight for the kitchen.

"We're here for your clothes remember?!" groaning I follow after them.

"Tyler, Grace your back! And you've brought a guest!" Tyler's mom is in the kitchen sitting on the island.

"Yah, I forgot to grab clothes for tonight. This is Grace's little sister Callie."

"Well nice to meet you Callie!"

Tyler lifts her up and places her on one of the islands seat, "where's dad?"

"Around here somewhere. I'm assuming you have plans for tonight?"

Tyler nods his head, "hey chef, would you mind whipping up some sweets for Callie before you leave?"

"No problem Tyler!"

We then went up to his room, with Callie entertained in the kitchen. In his room he grabs a pair of grey jeans that are ripped in all kinds of ways, his off white belt- the belt is so expensive it should be framed not worn- a grey shirt, and black and white flannel. The flannel had a quart pattern instead of the usual pattern.

"You're going to wear that belt? To party? Are you sure?" I asked him while he stuffed the outfit in a Nike duffel bag.

"Yah. It's not a normal party. Everyone there will be wearing named brand things, it's no big deal."

"You're making me scared to go to this party. Rich white kids man." I sigh.

"It's going to be fire. Bacardi hangover and all." He smiles at me.

🍦🍦🤍🤍❕❕

Finishing up my makeup I check my whole outfit in the mirror. I think this will do. After adjusting my white Gucci belt, I look over to Tyler who is lounging on my bed, phone in hand.

"What are you doing?"

He looks up, "nothing." He puts his phone in his pocket.

"Mhm okay. Already setting up a date for tonight. You better not ditch me."

Tyler shakes his head, "no no no, YOU better not ditch me."

I roll my eyes, "these are your people. I wouldn't ditch you. I'm sure you'd ditch me though."

"Don't be so sure. it's eleven thirty, we should start heading down stairs."

Nodding my head, I grab my phone, and heels. Together we start walking out my room and down the stairs. Callie is in the kitchen with mom and John.

"Off somewhere this late?" John asks.

Ignoring him I look over to my mom who is pulling the popcorn out of the microwave. She hands the bowl to Callie who pours chocolate and caramel syrup on it.

"Need any help mamma?" I ask as she puts another popcorn bag in the microwave.

"No, I think we're all good here, honey."

"Okay, we're going to head out after the ball drops."

"I WANT TO GO WITH YOU!" Callie jumps up out of her seat.

"Sorry little bug not this time," Tyler ruffles her hair.

"Awe," she frowns, "why not?"

"We're going to a grown up party," I answer her sitting down at the kitchen island next to Callie.

"A grown up party?" Callie asks with big eyes.

"You're just going to let her go out? Just like that?" John turns to Trace.

"She's 18, but by all means if you have a way of stopping her from going, go ahead." She turns back to me, "be safe."

"We will. We're going to crash at Tyler's. Since the party is closer to his house."

"Okay."

I finish putting on my heels and stand up, "let's head out."

Tyler nods his head, "Happy New Year's Trace, bye Callie!"

After saying my good bye's and giving Callie a kiss, we head outside.

"I'm driving," Tyler hops on the bike first. Abiding I get on after him.

🥳🥳🎉🎉🎊🎊

"So this is what it's like to party with the rich kids?" I asked while holding a red solo cup. The music shakes the whole house, and I stand in front of Tyler.

"Yes, enjoying it?"

I shrug, "I don't know yet."

"Tyler! My man, didn't know you'd be here!" Before Tyler could speak one of his friends came up taking.

"Didn't know I'd be here either. Last minute plans," the do the bro handshake or whatever.

The guys eyes wander over to me, "are you going to introduce me to your friend?"

Tyler turns to me, "Oh this is Grace. Grace this is Jaycob, most of us just call him Jay."

Tyler moves out the way and I get a good look of the guy. He's not bad on the eyes.

"Hey," I simply give him a nod.

"And where have you been hiding this pretty little thing at?"

I couldn't help but roll my eyes, tyler sensing this put his arm around my waist, "sorry Jay, she's off limits."

Jay smirks like he knows something Tyler doesn't, "Mkay man, going to come say hey to the rest of the gang? They haven't seen you in a while."

Tyler nods, "yah, come on."

The guy, Jay leads us out of the kitchen and to a separate room, that might have been the dining room, but as of now it's a smoke room. The whole room is Fogged over and couches like the walls with a coffee table in the middle of the room. Ashtrays, lay everywhere.

"Tyler, man! Where have you been hiding?!" we stop in front a group and they all start greeting Tyler. Feeling awkward I stand at the back and sip from my cup.

"This is Grace by the way," Tyler pulls me forward. The small group greets me.

"This your girl?" one of the guys asked.

Jaycob stepped in, "Yah, she off limits." he snickers and sits down on the couch next to one of the girls.

I sigh and shake my head. This is going to be a long night.
