"She did what?!"
"I was sleep. I don't know. I woke up and yah. Maybe you should get down here," I spoke in a whisper and looked around the living room.
"Ugh, fuck. Ok ok, I'll be there in a few hours," Terra groaned.
"Thank you see you in a bit," I looked towards the stairs.
"See you."
With that we hang up just as Grace walks down the stairs. She looks at me.
"What are you up to?"
I look around then point at myself, "who me?"
She laughs, "Yes you. Who else?"
"Oh uh, I don't know."
"Mhm," She narrows her eyes at me, "so what are you up to?"
"Nothing," I look around to avoid eye contact.
"You know your a terrible liar," she walks towards the kitchen.
Her hair even though short is curled into big paper curls, and gold earring dangle mixing in with her hair. She wears a burnt orange knitted sweater that is partly tucked into her black pants. Of course her Gucci belt is on full display. The whole outfit is thrown together with thigh high brown suede heeled boots. All in all she maintains her model status.
I follow her to the kitchen. She peaks inside the fridge. I clear my throat getting her attention, "so, I need to go home to change clothes. I'm starting to feel a bit icky."
"Okay," she shuts the fridge and faces me.
"Would you like to come? I'm sure my mom would love to see you. And I'm sure she has something prepared to eat."
Grace shrugs her shoulders, "sure."
I smile, "Okay great. Let's go."
I grab my things and we walk out the door across the street to my house. On our front door hangs our wreathe. We have one for every season.
I twist the door knob to see if it's open and sure enough it is. Pushing open the door we walk inside. The warm heat hits us along with the pumpkin spice smell. I shut the door behind Grace who looks around. Our house is decked out in holiday decor.
"Brookie darling is that you?"
I roll my eyes at my mom's nickname for me and Grace stifles a laugh, "yes mom it's me!"

I walk towards the kitchen and urge Grace to follow.
"Oh hey honey, and Grace what a pleasure to see you as always hon!" My mom covered in flour gives Grace and I a great big ol hug, "excuse my mess," She ushers to the kitchen island, "I'm just preparing for Wednesday dinner and our family dinner Thursday."
"Oh it's fine Mrs. Farewell."
"Oh call me Rachel," my mom's beaming smile is contagious seeing as Grace's smile soon matches my mom's.
"Okay, well I need to shower and change," I point towards the door, "Are you going to stay in here with my mom or?" I ask Grace.
Grace looks towards my mom as if asking her what to do, "oh go up stairs with Brooke. I couldn't possibly ask you for any help with my mess."
"I wouldn't mind helping," Wow who knew Grace could be so, well I don't even know.
"No no, run up stairs I wouldn't want you to get your outfit dirty," my mom brushes her off.
"Nonsense," Grace looks at me, "I'll help her clean up then run up stairs when we're done."
"Thank you dear," my mom warmly smiles at her.
"Okay then, suit yourself," I walk out the kitchen and up the stairs towards my room.
Once inside my room I pull out my clothes. A black pair of tights, a dark cream colored knitted sweater with hearts on the elbows, and a black vest. I set it all out on my bed, then walked to my bathroom and started to run a shower. Stripping I hop inside.
I ended up spending 45 minutes in the shower. By the time I turned off the water the bathroom is filled with steam. Wrapping my hair then body in fluffy white towels I open the door and walk out.
"Took you long enough," Grace lays on my bed laptop sitting on her stomach. She didn't look up, but continued to pay attention to whatever she was doing.
I rolled my eyes and grabbed my clothes, "What are you doing?" I asked her finally while going through my draws to find my cute bralet.
"Scrolling through your Instagram," my eyes widen as the words come out her house.

I turn around, "what?"
"You heard me, going through your Instagram. It was just open." I hopped on the bed next her and she finally looked at me, "Your not gonna change?"
"It can wait," I looked at the computer screen.

pretty baby😍
your adorable. 🥺
My most recent picture showed on the screen. I smiled.
"Terra stays trolling your page," I laugh at Grace.
"How even did she find my page?"
Grace shrugs, "actually though. I don't even know."
I laugh and get up, "you don't care if I change in here do you?"
"It's your room," she doesn't look from the computer I shrug and drop my towel. Wow, I can't believe I'm being this confident in front of her.
I quickly put on my clothes, then put my hair up in a messy bun.
"Hey your phones ring," Grace reaches over and grabs my phone, "why is Terra calling you?"
I turn around, "oh um," I trailed off reaching for my phone.
She stands up answering it, "Hello?"
"Open the door it's getting cold out here!" I hear Terra's voice on the other line and cross my arms.
"Terra, where are you?"
"Grace, I'm in front of your house! Open the damn door!" Terra yells on the other line. I stifle a laugh as Grace hangs up on he.
"You called Terra?"
"I didn't know what else to do Okay," I looked down.
She sighed, "better go let her in before she freezes," she walks past me and I follow her down stairs.
"We're going back to Graces! See you later mom!" I yell before we leave. We walk out the front door to see Terra standing at Grace's front door shivering.
I ran over to her and wrapped my arms around her. She jumped up, "Brooke! Where did you come from?"
"My house," I smiled and let her go she turned around.
"Grace, you Okay babe?" Grace stood a foot way from us glaring.
"I'm fine," she brushes past us and opens the front door.
"It's freezing balls out there!" Terra rushes in.
I follow after the two.
"Where's your mom?" Terra had shed her coat and gloves and now sits on the couch.
"In New York," Grace sat on the other side of the couch, and I sat in between the two.
"Thanksgiving parade?" Terra asked.
"Yup."
There were no more words just silence. I look from Terra to Grace then Terra again. What's wrong with them?
"Hey I have an idea!" Terra clapped her hands.
"And What is this so called great idea?" Grace rolled her eyes.
"Since I'm already here, let's get a few people together for a last minute friends giving!"
"Not a bad idea. We could invite, Dana, Jackie, and all of them!" I helped Terra get the idea across to Grace.
"It's really last minute," Grace crossed her arms.
"Please, it'd be fun!" I Gave her puppy dogs eyes and put my hands together.
"Don't be a grinch, come on Grace!" Terra joined in.
Grace sighed, "Okay fine whatever. We have to go to the grocery store though."
"Yay!" I jumped up.
"I'll go make a list of what we need, Grace you start texting people, and Brooke well need your car. We can pull everything off by six!" With that everyone scattered.
Grace pulled out her phone, and Terra went to the kitchen. As for me I went across the street to grab my keys and car. This is going to be epic!
"Brooky honey, are you back already?"
"I just came to grab my keys," I silently prayed she wouldn't ask me why.
"Oh what for?" She appeared walking out of the living room.
"I'm going to run to the store real quick."
"Oh okay. Be safe, I love you."
"I love you to mom," after getting my keys I pull out of the drive way and into Grace's. Of course just after doing so I get a text from Terra telling me to run to the store and she'll send a list of things we need.
Sighing I pull back out of the driveway and go to the nearest Walmart. They have everything you need. Surly everything that I need will be there.
