"Brooke catch!" Vanessa yelled at me. I caught the bottle of water mid-air before it could hit anyone behind me.
"Nice catch girly," Vanessa said as I walked to her and handed her the bottle.
"Thanks, by any chance have you seen Fin?" I asked her.
"No, you might ask Mason he's inside grabbing some ice to put in the cooler.
"Ok thank you!" I walk back towards the house.
A team barbecue and I couldn't find half of the team. I sighed and walked inside to see Mason tugging the bag of ice out of the fridge.
"Hey Mason, need any help?" He looks at me.
"Nah I got it."
"Oh ok," he pulls the bag out of the fridge fully and lifts it up on his shoulder.
"Can I help you with something?" He asked.
"Actually yes, Fin rode with you here didn't he?"
"Um, yeah why do you ask?" He started to walk outside and I followed him.
"I can't seem to find him," he emptied the bag of ice in the cooler.
"Oh um, I'm sure he's around here somewhere I'll tell him you looking for him if I see him," I sighed.
"Ok," Mason disappeared off somewhere as everyone started to show. Soon Brooke's backyard was full of people, some of who weren't even on the team.
"Brooke! Brokke!" Someone called my name I turned around to see a girl running my way, "hi," she waved, "I'm Mandy!" I smiled back at her.
"Hi Mandy," I said with a wave.
"Your going to be the cheer captain next year right?" I nodded my head, "I hope I'll make the team next year! I've tried out for the past two years, next year I'll be a senior. I've been practicing and can do a bit of tumbling!" The over-enthusiastic girl couldn't keep a smile off her face and I envied her for it.
"I'll put in a good word with the captain for you," I winked and she laughed.
"I hope to see you around," with the final words she ran off to join a group.
"Have you seen Bethany?" Vanessa asked me.
"No, sorry Nessa," she shook her head.
"It's her party she should be down here throwing it," I laughed.
"Can I do anything to help?" She looked at me and smiled.

"Matter of fact you can! There's a six-pack of cokes in the fridge can you grab them for me?" I nod my head, "thanks!"
I make my way inside, as I open the door the autumn wind blows in some dead leaves. Not wanting to leave them inside I found the broom closet and swept them up. Putting everything back where I found it I make my way to the fridge.
"Baby," I turned around and came face to face with Fin.
"Hey, I've been looking for you!" I smiled as he came over and placed a kiss on my lips. He tasted like peppermint. Weird he hated peppermint.
"Mason told me, can I help you?" He motioned to the six-pack of cokes I was about to pull out of the fridge.
"Yes, please."
"Anything for you princess," I smiled at his name for me.
"Brooke! Vanessa told me that you've been a big help, thank you for that!" Bethany joined Fin and I in the kitchen.
"No problem Bethany!" I smiled up at her.
We make our way outside and everyone greets us. I'm pulled off by a group of girls that are just like Mandy wanting to get a spot on the team next year.

"You sure you don't want me to drop you off at home?" I ask Fin.
"No, I'll ride with Mason he's not drinking."
"Ok. Be safe," he kisses me and I cringe at the taste of beer on his lips.
"I will text me when you get home," he shuts my car door.
"I will," that I leave the party before it escalates too far. Everyone or who was left of everyone was starting to pull out the beers. That's when I leave.
Pulling into my driveway ten minutes later I turn off my car and pull out my phone seeing a text message from my mom.
Going to grandma's we'll be back tomorrow morning be safe, love you!
I send her a quick text message back then hop out of my car and inside. Throwing my keys at the table near the door I ran upstairs to my room. After picking up a few things I had thrown on the floor, I hop on my bed and put on some Netflix.
The one thing I will do against my parent's wishes is to watch supernatural. I absolutely love the show, but my parents do not approve of it being devoted members of a Christian church. I only watched it when they were gone or when I'm at a friends house, I had fallen in love with the show though.

Pushing play I began watching season 12 episode one.
When the red sign asked if I was still watching I was in the middle of Episode five. Sighing I looked at the clock. It was a little past two, midnight snack time. Getting up I walk to the kitchen and rummage through the fridge. My mom doesn't buy a lot of microwaveable things, because she thinks it's non-nutritional, which it kind of was, but it was still good.
So, with that in mind, I cut up an apple and pulled out a jar of peanut butter. I set the apples and peanut butter on the table in the living room and ran back upstairs to my room to change into an oversized T-shirt and a pair of spandex.
I go back downstairs with my phone in hand only to realize I left my charger along with my purse in my car. Sighing I put on some flip-flops and quickly run outside and hop in my car, grab my purse and quickly run back. Only stopping when I was about to shut the front door, looking at the house that sat directly in front of mine.
Leaning against her front door I saw Grace. Curiosity got the best of me as I squinted my eyes to see what she was doing. She appeared to be knocking on the door. I rolled my eyes. Must have gotten locked out again. I was about to turn around and go back inside when she sat down on her porch.
I couldn't just leave her out here it was getting pretty chilly. I set my purse on the couch and went back outside crossing the street and making my way to her.
"Looks like you got locked out again," Grace looked at me.
"What's it to you?" Her words were slow and slurred.
"Are you- are you drunk?" I asked her. Her head kept bobbing from side to side as I stood in front of her.
"Mm no," she dragged out the 'o' I nod then laughed. I shook my head. I definitely couldn't leave her out here like this. She could get hit by a car!
"Ugh come on. You can spend the night with me," I grabbed her arm and attempted to pull her up.
"Why are you being nice to m-me?" She hiccuped.
"Because I'm a nice person. Now get up," she got up but fell back down, "come on Grace it's cold."
She stood up again, but this time I caught her. With her arm draped across my shoulder we walked across the street and into the warmth of my living room. She collapsed on the couch.
"Hey, we gotta go up the stairs to my room," I scolded her.
"Why? It's so com-comfortable here," She hiccuped. I rolled my eyes.
"Because my parents will be home in the morning," she sighed and got back up we made our way up the stairs a hard process with a drunk person.
She collapsed on my bed this time closing her eyes. I took off her shiny red black stiletto heels, how could someone wear these? I would break a heel. After unstrapping her heels I set them next to the bed.
I took off her leather jacket next. It was skin tight and I don't know why anyone would wear something that tight. I set it on my desk chair and assed the girl. All she had on now was some black jeans and a red off the shoulder top. Should I let her sleep in them? Hum, they didn't look very comfortable.
Going into my closet I pull out an oversized shirt. I had millions!
"Grace change into this," I said loudly and threw the shirt at her.
She groaned, "I don't want to," I sighed. Why was I doing this again? Oh, right I'm a nice person.
"Grace sleeping in skinny jeans isn't going to be comfortable," her eyes opened. She threw the shirt to the side and unbuttoned her pants pulling them off sitting up and throwing them at me, "Hey! I'm just trying to help."
"I didn't ask for your help," she laid back down.
"Be nice, I could've left you outside in the cold," she ignored me, "take off the shirt and put the one I gave you on."
"If you wanted me to undress all you had to do was a-ask," she hiccuped and threw her shirt at me also. She put on the shirt I gave her as I starred at her blushing.
